Aly snorted and shifted her bow slightly so it was in her hands. Trust her brother to take the polite approach. If the guy hacked her off much more she thought she might just hit him with her bow. " Just do as he says and everyone will be happy. At the very least lower your voice. Even I don't shout in a library."

Sophie turned to at the guy who had tried to "defend" her. "And he has about 1/3 of my intelligence. He's obviously not getting the point. I don't even know who he is, and much less what he wants. So leave me alone," she growled at the biker. She was still half-contemplating why she had called him Ares. Mythology on the brain, she decided.

Alan couldn't help but laugh at the bookworm girl's comment it was very witty.
Alan looked over to Aly, "So sis what do you say, should we take this guy out?"
Alan wasn't really great at contact sports, he made up for that with speed and stealthiness, but he felt a whole lot stronger when he was with his sister. He decided to stop fighting with using the term because the more the thought about it the more right it felt.

Sophie raised an eyebrow. "No shooting bows in the Library. That would seem very obvious to most thinking observers." She picked up The Illiad. I'm just going to check this out and leave."

Aly smirked over at her brother. " I think we should leave him be for now Bro. if he doesn't leave the walking dictionary alone then we'll see. As for you Ms. No bows in the library, I always bring my bow in with me besides I wasn't going to shoot him. It's much too enclosed and close range in here. No ask Alan what I would do."

"Okay, the first time that 'walking dictionary' thing was okay. Now it's just plain annoying. My name is Sophie Pallas Raptis, and you will address me as Sophie." She turned around and went to go check out her book.

Aly blinked slowly. " OOOOOOOOOOOOOOkay. I didn't know your name and the fact that you rattled all those words off is why I called you that. Besides Alan is the only person I don't give a random nickname to. Trust me even my parents don't get called mom and dad half the time." Without thinking about it she shifted so that she was leaning against her bow.

Typical...typical of the Norse to use something that would wipe the memory as well. Here she was, a fully-fledged goddess with all the wisdom and strategies of war at her very fingertips and all she wanted to do was check out a damned book.

Apparently, the twins also had no memory of who they were as well since they felt the need to defend who to them must have been a stranger.

When she called him Ares, however, he raised a brow.

"So, there's still some memory left in there," he said to himself as he folded his arms. There had to have been afterall, since Apollo and Artemis had managed to find each other.

So why had he managed to retain his memory then?

Suddenly a thought struck him and he reached inside his back pocket and pulled out a book. It was Ares very own Book of War. Of course, a divine item let me keep at least some of my memory then. If that was the case, were he to get his hands on more divine items, then maybe he could once again reclaim his place on Olympus as a God of War.

He looked down and sneered at the girl who called herself Sophie, a mortal trapped with divine potential and not even caring about regaining her godliness. Goddess of Wisdom indeed. Maybe it would be better to be the only deity of war on Olympus.

"Have it your way then," he said giving her a half-nod before turning away. "You prefer to rot in your mortal prison, then do it without me."

It wasn't out of anger or malice that he said it, but more out of frustration. Here he was already being forced to condescend and try and enlist the help of all the gods which was already against his proud nature and he was being rejected in preference to mortality and lost memories.

"You ever get the desire to find out who you really are, give me a call," he said tossing her a card with his cell number on it. "That goes for you two, Apollo and Artemis."

With that, the former God of War left the library, a deadly serious expression across his face. A light pitter-patter of rain began to fall complimenting his dark mood. He needed a way to find Zeus first, either him or Poseidon and Hades. If they were to ever even have a ghost of a chance, he needed them.

Aly glanced at Alan with curiosity. " Did he just call us Apollo and Artemis as well as mortals? If so I think someone needs to check him into a mental hospital."
PostPosted: Wed Sep 09, 2009 5:46 pm

"Yeah he did," Alan said. It was kind of weird but it seemed not so out of the ordinary when he did. He got a eerily familiar feeling from the guy, like he was used to hearing him yell.

Aly shook her head slightly. " I feel like I'm used to him being in a temper and I got the strongest urge to hit him with my bow like I had done it thousands of times before. I don't know why though. This might be a good bow but like any others it wouldn't stand up to whacking people with it. Is it odd that in my head I'm seeing a Silver Bow and A Gold Bow and an image of a woman borrowing them and hitting that guy with them? I feel like I'm losing my mind Alan. I just wanted to tell that guy to treat us with respect or he'd be on the receiving end of my bow?"

Sophie raised an eyebrow at the man's strange words. "I have no interest whatsoever," she said, but stuffed the card into her pocket. It was a crazy thought, but this guy might know something about her real parents...or be one of her real parents. Urgh. No. He seemed like he would be an older sibling or something...why did she keep thinking he was related to her?
She looked at the name on the card. Ares. Hmm. How did she ever guess that, unless some subconscious part of her recognized him? Well, it was entirely possible. She shrugged and went to go check out her book.

((Sophie thinks she's adopted, by the way...))

Poseidon was asking the librarian for a plastic carrier bag when he had overheard the noise.
"Trouble with Kids?" He asked, as the Librarian produced the bag, which he placed the flowers into. Without turning to look at the commotion or waiting for a response from the Librarian Poseidon strided outside.
Pulling up his collar on his coat, He walked down the street somewhat comfortably, a little amused at the sight of buisnessmen and parents on the school-run scurrying to get out of the rain.
He heard the bubbling of his Shellphone in his pocket, and upon reading it, saw a message from his wife.
Great. Now it's Diamond Earrings.
Mumbling under his breath about why he even bothered getting Amphirite gifts, he collided into a man.
"Watch where you're walking!" he bellowed, then he looked at the figure. "Oh, it's you." he said quieter, with a sniff.

Solarinn had barely escaped the Wyrm's wrath and with renewed vigour and with a slightly ripped left wing, he flew past various hills that he had not recognised. Stopping on a Rock Dolmen, he examined the tear. It was a nasty nick near his elbow-joint that the Wyrm had given to him when he had flew away. It didn't affect his normal flight, but would give him problems if he encountered heavy storms, and he couldn't teleport otherwise his whole wing would be carved off by the exertion. Setting off, the sea-dragon made towards the nearest safety, which was a secluded bay were he saw was impossible for Mortals to reach.

Alan thinks for a second, "Hey sis do you think this guy has a point I mean before today I never thought that much about mythology but now it seems like it's pretty much occuring all around me." Alan just coinsiders what he's said, Damn, maybe I'm losing my mind.

Aly blinked and looked at her twin. That's what she saw him as and she had given up arguing with herself over it besides it felt right. " He might. It does seem like that. I meet you and we instantly bond you are almost as good as I am in Archery and you play the guitar which is like a modern day lyre and you're as interested in the sun as I am the moon. Not to mention we've always felt like something was missing and our first words dealt with mythology. I"m not sure. If it were yesterday I would say not a chance. I think as much as I hate to say this we need to talk to that guy again and find out what he has to say."
