OK, this is a general Mount Olympus roleplay. Just day-to-day happenings. You can be any god/goddess you want (as long as it's not taken), or a demigod, or a mythical creature (AKA:monster). You can also be a made-up god or goddess/demigod/moster, as long as you also play a canon character. It takes place in modern times. PM me with your profile, and make the message titled, "Mount Olympus RP."
Profile:
Quote: Username: Character: Personality: (If canon, just fill it out with your interpretation of the character) History: (Keep it short, gods and goddesses! Only last century or so, plus parentage and childhood info)
Have fun!
~New Section~
We in the Roleplay have been discussing some major plot twists, and, starting Page 18 (or so), here is the new plot.
An ambassador from the Norse Pantheon tries to make peace with the Greeks, but Loki, naturally hating the Greeks, turns all of their gods mortal and sees how they will fend in the modern world, for a laugh. BUT WAIT-- just the Olympians are turned mortal and Alis and the other minor and/or made up gods take over Olympus for a while...
Rathunda is Loki, Oracle of Hestia is Frigg, and I am the Valkyries. If you want to be a Norse god, PM me and I'll let everyone know.

Profiles
Note: Herry Rockabore is being overworked, being forced to play Heracles, Apollo, and Hephaestus. And Luna is playing both Aphrodite and Calliope. And we still don't have that many people! So please join. Please?
Quote: Username: White Queen Amata Character: Athena Personality: (If canon, just fill it out with your interpretation of the character) Goddess of wisdom. Super-smart, loves to argue her point. Loves logic puzzles, and things that make you think. Sometimes too stubborn or proud. Lately, she's been getting into arguments with Zeus and Aphrodite a lot. History: (Keep it short, gods and goddesses! Only last century or so, plus parentage and childhood info) Lately, Athena's been sort of low-key on Earth, rarely appearing to mortals. On Olympus, she's a very active goddess. You either love her or hate her, except Zeus is sort of in between. *** Character: Alisia (nicknamed Alis) Personality: (If canon, just fill it out with your interpretation of the character) Goddess of Lewis Carroll insanity and under-appreciated English teachers. A sort of outcast on Olympus, because she gets very picky over the littlest of things. Who else would go into a frenzy over a missing comma?! Also, she's very witty and loves to make clever puns, which only Athena can figure out. History: (Keep it short, gods and goddesses! Only last century or so, plus parentage and childhood info) Alisia is the daughter of Apollo and Calliope. She took an early interest in grammar and the rules of the written language. She is often on Olympus, because not many mortals need her. Except, of course, for her devoted, though they don't quite know it, following of English teachers and Carollians.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quote: Username: Queen-of-the-Rogue Character: Artemis Personality: Is very fond of her twin brother but at the same time loves driving him insane. She can often be found hunting or helping women give birth though that's died down since Hospitals were invented. She can be sweet but also very mischievous. History: Is still the Goddess of the Hunt and childbirth as well as the Moon and Sun. She has been around for a long time. To put it simply she's old but don't tell her that unless you wanna get killed or at the very least shot with an arrow.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quote: Username: Oracle of Hestia Character: Hestia Personality:Quiet, kind, gods don't really talk to her much. She's a bit lonely, and considers herself "the home for those who have none." She's willing to talk to anyone, and she's very sympathetic. History: She's kind of shy and lonely due to the fact that her father, Kronos, "never really gave her a true home." Ever since she gave up her throne for Dionysus, she sort of acts as the Olympian counselor (not that any god really comes to her to ask anything) and sometimes even intervenes into a fight to calm it down.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quote: Username: Luna Lumine Character: Aphrodite Personality: whimsical and eccentric, but wise in her own way... sort of. but hey, everyone's plans backfire once in a while! not very into the idea of faithfulness, but very much a romantic. can be vain, devious, and selfish or come off as slightly sadist because a broken heart is the most amusing thing in the world to her. History: Parentage-- as far as I know, she was swept in from the froth and foam of the sea after the Titans' defeat. Married to Haephestus, but her favourite lover is Ares.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quote: Username: Nightman221k Character: Heracles Personality: Heracles to me seems likeable, loyal, and determined. I also think he's a resourseful character but can also be friendly as well as having substantial strength. History: To sum most of it up Heracles was born son of Zeus and a mortal woman, Hera wanted him punished because of this. Hera caused the madness that made him kill his first wife and kids and to pay for this he completed 12 labors. He died and became a god after his new wife mistakenly poisoned him and as his body was layed in the funeral pyre he shed his mortal skin and became immortal.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quote: Username: gabzlikesmusic Character: harper (minor goddess) Personality: isnt at all like her father, usually somber and quiet, except when she's listening to music, also very sneaky History: parents- Apollo and a mortal woman, made a minor goddess when she tricked one of the gods to give her immortality and eternal youth so they can hear her beautiful music forever. not evil though!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quote: Username: Gabriel_Alex Character: Ares, God of War Personality: Very rough and rugged. Says what he wants when he wants and is uncaring about who he offends. Almost constantly at strife and anger with Athena, his half-sister. Currently enjoys causing trouble and sometimes even violence with people he comes in contact with. His dark hair and eyes go well with his dark personality. History: Son of Zeus and Hera, he has constantly been at strife with his siblings and is considered the most distrusted of all the gods. Whether by sword and spear, or cannon and gun, Ares has always been present at every major conflict and war since as long as he can remember. Strife and wrath give him strength and blood and violence his hunger. Whereas Athena seems to be a goddess of strategic warfare and wisdom, Ares is her counter being a god of mayhem and unpredictable violence.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quote: Username: Rathunta Character: Poseidon Personality: My view of Poseidon is that he is a god that has moved around the fishing communities in the Old World, and moving on whenever they have offended him or discovered too much about him. He's quite cranky, but after a strong beverage, he's ready to take anything. History: Brother to Zeus and Hades. (non-canon) has had an arguement with Zeus and hasn't spoken to him directly in over 50 years. Hades is the 'go-between' ferrying messages between them. Username: Rathunta Character: Solarinn Personality: Non-Canon Dragon. His scales are dark grey, which have a dark coloured tint to the bottom of the scale. His eyes are pale blue, with a green circle around the eye. (will have a ref picture.) He likes to solve riddles (typical dragon trait), but insists on answering it correctly, that he be rewarded with Fresh Fish (usually Shark). Constantly pesters Poseidon for the backlog of 'due Fish'. However, is loyal to the God Poseidon. History: Hatched in the year 1732, and was given to Artemis originally, but she got annoyed with Solarinn's constant pestering that she dumped him onto Apollo, then after so many changing of 'carers', Solarinn was given to Poseidon, and has stayed with him since 1785.
----------------------------------------------------------
Quote: Username: Calamari24 Character:Mattric Minor God Of The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy Personality:Tired all the time.Likes to spy on the gods History: Turned into a god on a deal to stop singing "So Long And Thanks For All The Fish."

Okay, we have enough people to start!
Alisia sighed as she got up, finished with her editing work for the day. "You will not believe how many spelling mistakes Hermes makes. I tell him to spellcheck before he submits it to be published, but noooo. He's always in such a such a rush to go nowhere, like the Red Queen or someone." She sighed again, realizing there was nobody there that she could be speaking to.

Artemis was passing through the halls when she heard one of the younger goddesses muttering about Hermes needing to spell check his work. She grinned slightly that meant the person muttering was her niece, Alisia. " What's wrong now Alis? If it's about Hermes needing to spell check his work you know that's never going to happen. He's much to busy half the time. Also if you start ranting Alis then I will be forced to leave. I mainly came this way because I'm looking for your father. Have you seen him?"

"Artemis." Alis smiled slightly, mostly because when she named all eight parts of speech, it drove her aunt bonkers. "Hello. I haven't seen dad anywhere today, though you might want to try his concert he said he was doing today. I heard it's supposed to be very good music. Lately he's gotten into an American bluegrass kick." Alis's smile turned into a full grin, because she knew that Artemis didn't like bluegrass.

Artemis made a face before rolling her eyes. " Thank you Alis now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go hunt your father down and drag him away from his Bluegrass concert. Maybe I'll ask him to play something classical for me since I haven't heard him do it in a while."

"You know you can't drag Dad away from his bluegrass. Besides, he's in the middle of a song about animals, and you can't barge in during that." Alis grinned even more, forgetting all about Hermes's lack of spellcheck because she now had something else to nag about. "Oh, by the way, Aunt Artemis, you forgot a period at the end of a sentence and you capitalized bluegrass when you shouldn't have. Divide a loaf by a knife, what's the answer to that!"

Artemis glared at her niece. " I will remind you young lady that I'm your Aunt and I will not put up with any of this correcting my speech business. I can interrupt your father if I feel like it because I'm his twin and therefore I have the diving right to do so. Besides if I don't everyone else will get annoying and he'll forget to eat so I have to drag him away."

"I'm not even going to mention your run-on sentences," Alis said, rolling her eyes. "But wait. I just did mention it. Apophasis!"

Artemis rolls her eyes and grabs her niece by the ear and begins to drag her towards Apollo's concert area. " I believe I've told you to not take that tone with me young lady. As a result we're going to make you listen to your father's concert. Then he and I are going to take you on a prolonged hunting trip where you will not be allowed to do anything that deals with writing we will also gag you if necessary."

Hestia has been in here all this time, and no one has noticed until she spoke.
"Artemis, not a harmonious hearth. Not a harmonious hearth indeed... grabbing your niece by the ear and threatening to gag her. Oh, well, like I'm going to affect your decision. No one ever listens to the unimportant hearth-tender."
[Hestia has low self-esteem.]

Artemis looks at her aunt and rolls her eyes again. " She's been asking for it since she discovered what she would be the Goddess of. I love you Aunt Hestia but really the only way to get anything done with Alis is to drag her away by the ear and gag her. Besides Apollo knows I do this, he doesn't care and she's his daughter so technically it doesn't matter what you think. Also since when have I ever been harmonious? I"m the goddess of the hunt, childbirth, and the Sun and Moon. I don't have time to be harmonious." She then proceeded to drag her niece out of the room. " Not a word put of you Young Lady." She leveled her Niece with a glare as she said this.
