"My mission has been cast since the incident. I could not have strangers understand the influence of your family into the police force or it would only sew further seeds of disaster. I could not chance the possibility of dealing more damage then benefit." Duncan said still knelling.
"It makes sense. If he told the visitors he was connected to the family and this town then it would be rather likely they would come up with something really is going down in the town." Hiro said as he put his shoulder on Ayaka's shoulder. "We can't let them know he has a connection with us or it could spell trouble."

Ayaka nodded in understanding. "Would you please get up." She whispered looking around, "What if someone sees you?" Akira nodded, "That makes perfect sense. Very well thought out. Thank you for waiting until we were away from the others before you told us." Looking up at Hiro she asked, "Did you know about this before?"

"I am sorry but I did not. Mother must have wanted us in the dark to be safe. It is a wonder how she has the insight to think this far ahead just in case." Hiro said shaking his head yet marveling at what their mother did.
"I am a sheriff and looking for clues sometimes includes getting closer to the ground." Duncan said as he stood up brushing dirt off his knee. "Now let me see this man's final words"

Neko shrugged, "He is the sheriff I believe nya." Neko said watching the small group walk away. "I have a feeling that he will be able to help us." Neko said looking back at Luna. "Shall we go inside?"
"That is something she will have to teach me." Ayaka said with a roll of her eyes. Ayaka nodded, "That makes sense." She agreed with a blush. "Right along this way." Ayaka said stepping over beside Hiro and waiting for him to lead the way.

Neko nodded, "Indeed, I think we all do." She leaned in close to Luna, "But I think we need to get these visitors out before much good happens. And that includes the Sheriff."

"Are you sure you want to go in Ayaka? It is not pretty and it smells even less so." Hiro said looking at his sister concerned.Even though she was in charge she was still his little sister. "I can bring him in and show him around so you don't have to do it."

Ayaka looked from her brother to Duncan. She wasn't sure if he would oppose to that idea. "I think I should be fine Hiro." Ayaka said smiling at him. "This is a family problem, I would hate to leave you all alone." Already her stomach flipped like a pancake.

"She is the head of the family so long as your mother is not here. Try not to baby her or she will never learn the hardships of leadership." Duncan said scolding Hiro.
"If you say so then please follow me." Hiro said opening the door. A powerful smell of copper wafted out of the door as they walked in. The wall of Daniel's cell was covered with words from legends of the town.
"It's worse then I feared. We can still say this man was the killer in question. It shouldn't be to hard I would suppose. Just a wacko thinking he was possessed and ultimately doing himself in. Real shame it is." Duncan said shaking his head. "Do either of you know how he got the dagger?"

Ayaka held her hand lightly upon Hiro's shoulder as if apologizing. She respected that he wished for her not to see this. But not even his description could have prepared her for what she saw. The first thing that hit her, the stench, was like a fist punching her directly in the gut. She nearly doubled over with the first encounter. With a minimal struggle she was able to control the lurching of her stomach. She then spotted Daniel, a bloody mess on the floor. That was the last straw. She fell against Hiro as pale as a ghost, and as dizzy as the swirling sea.
In response to Dunca's question Ayaka shook her head. She wasn't sure how long she could control the lunging of her stomach. "We cleaned them for the ceremony a long while before he arrived." She managed panting softly with her eyes tightly closed. With the smell of blood in the air something flickered in her mind. The glimpse of the other dagger, long and sharp in her hand poised over Lucain. Her hands dug into the ground like talons, ripping up the ground. Her arms shook. Had it been her? "No." She whispered brokenly shaking her head, "NO!" She screamed grabbing her head not instead of the girt ground. "It's not possible!" She screamed falling to the ground beside Hiro.

"Ayaka!" Hiro called as he fell to her side. His sister's cries didn't make sense to him but he wanted to get her out of here as fast as possible as he picked her up and moved toward the door.
Duncan stood between them and the door for a moment and got out of the way once they got close letting them outside. He followed afterward.
"Ayaka...What is it you were talking about in there. You are among friends so you should tell us everything." Duncan said after Hiro stopped some 10' away from the building.
"Haven't you caused my sister enough grief you son of a *****?" Hiro said defensively as he held his sister in his arms.

Ayaka was trembling now. "no, no! It wasn't us it wasn't!" She screamed. She still grabbed her head till her knuckled turned white with the stress. "Hiro," she called to her brother. "It wasn't us. We're innocent, it was all him!" With the uneven gasps for breath Ayaka appeared to be in physical pain. With one hand she held her head, the other wrapped around her stomach. The white knuckle grip appeared again as her fingers dug into her side. "Make it stop Hiro! Please no more, make it stop!" She sobbed.

Hiro's face turned white as he heard his sister's cries of pain. "Ayaka..." was he managed as though he could feel a small amount of the pain she felt.
"What have you done Ayaka? Why do you say such strange things when no one has cast blame on you." Duncan said coldly. Tehre was more here then either of them were letting on. "How about you Hiro. Do you know anything?"
"N-no of course not." Hiro said defensively. Its just been a stressful night since the murder." Hiro said trying to remain calm.
"That makes sense. Why don't you both show me the place the dagger were kept before the man in there got a hold of it." Duncan said looking back at the jail. "Damage control might not be easy with this one."

Ayaka fell silent, her breathing still raced as if she had run a hundred miles, her face was pale as a corpse. It seemed like she was listening to something, waiting on someone to speak. She held her breath for an endless amount of time. "No, no more." she whimpered softly. "No more death, make it go away." Her hands loosened their pressure. She body changed from stone to being floppy as a fish. Sweat clung to her forehead. She lay completely still for a moment before blinking. Her eyes were back to the same pale calm blue. Her breathing was more of a pant. "What happened?" She asked weakly. She felt like she was burning up inside. She tried to push her wobbly self off the ground but fell against Hiro.
