"Alright then." Grant responded and looked out at the dance floor. Grant listened to the music of the usual minstrels but slowly his ears shifted. A new sound seemed to fade in as Grant's ears shifted to Jewlet. A beautiful melody filled Grant's ears as he closed his eyes and listened. Turning his head Grant then opened his eyes and was pleasantly surprised at the sight of Jewlet. "Jewlet? that's..." He paused in awe. Grant didn't realize his tail was now standing up behind himself and he had a small smile on his face.

Niro was standing by the door way with his back to the wall and one foot planted on it. He enjoyed the fresh air, espeasilly when it flowed through his long hair. But even more then that, he love the sound of music echoing through the trees. The sweet sent of the night breeze always calmed his soul. No matter what stressed him, he could always find peace in the night sky. Though he was the kind of guy who can find good in anything. Looking back inside, he couldn't help but feel lonely. But throughout the day, he didn't really make any friends here and the only one he did make was off on an exciting mission. Lucky dog, he mutter to himself. Loathing loneliness more then comfort. Niro decided to return to the banquet.

Jewlet shut her eyes as she kept on humming. She was now lost in her own thoughts: thinking of what could happen this night. She snapped back when Grant spoke her name. "Yes?" She looked at him and tilted her head. Then she saw his smile and turned away. A memory flashed in her head. She looked back at Grant her eyes a little wide and cheeks pink. "Sir Grant, Would you like to dance?" She asked right out with a smile. 'My mother said his last name looked familier.' She stood in front of him and held out her hand. "Please."

O God, Dance?!?! Grant thought. With the way he has been fumbling around Grant knew he would be horrible on the dance floor tonight. It wasn't that he was a bad dancer. Grant was fluent in both formal and informal dance styles but after the incident with trying to hold Jewlet's hand he was worried that his dancing would also be suffering. When Jewlet held out her hand Grant retched out and gently held it. Here we go. Grant though with a gulp. Grant walked out through the crowd and on to the dance floor. Grant closed his eyes for a moment as he set himself into correct posture. He then opened his eyes and bowed slightly before holding out his right arm art a ninety degree angle with his hand straight up in the air. Grant's ears stood straight up and his trail curled up before curling again at the tip to point down again.

Amanae tried to get back to her room by going through the kitchens, as she had before, but the over-worked chef and his staff shooed her out again right away. Irritated, she tried to think of a way that wouldn't involve going back into the ballroom.

Jewlet waited calmly, but her mind was hyper. 'Come on. It will be fun!' She thought. 'Poor thing, he's so nervous.' She grinned when he accepted. She kept up with him as they made their way out on to the dance floor. Jewlet bowed back and then positioned herself. She placed her right hand on his shoulder and then placed her left hand in his right hand. "You can do it, Grant." She said before she started to hum again. 'One. Two. Three.' She smiled as she was also nervous herself. Her waited for Grant to be ready.

Grant started up slowly moving to the right and then began to turn. He stared at his feet making sure he wasn't stepping on Jewlet's toes. As he got into the rhythm Grant stated to pick up the pace. Grant was actually surprised that he wasn't messing up. At least he didn't think he was messing up. Grant decided to get a little more advanced and spun Jewlet under his arm. Slowly Grant began to smile more and started looking up from his feet. His eyes perused up Jewlet's amazing body until they got to her face. Grant's eyes then connected with Jewlet's and that was it. They where glued to hers as Grant's jaw dropped slightly.

Once again, the Prince politely held in a laugh as he watched the Captain awkwardly escort the girl onto the dance floor. But as he watched, another thought came to mind, 'Where did Cyrith go off to?' His brother had a habit of getting himself into trouble at the most inopportune times and Ric knew that it was his responsibility to watch after him.
Quietly, the soon to be King made his way past the nobles and made his way towards the kitchen, any attempt on his part to pass through the regular entry way would surely draw attention. Though the Chefs each in turn stared at the royal, he paid them no mind as he passed into the hallway. His brother was nowhere in sight, though he did not expect it, however there was a blond, well dressed lady. See seemed quite young and fairly attractive, if Cyrith had passed her by, she would certainly remember it, "Excuse me Miss, I was wondering if you have seen my brother."

Amanae looked up at him, surprised. Oh, no. Was this another Prince? Something about his face certainly reminded her of Cyrith, though his eyes were serious and not magical in the least. On the bright side, he didn't seem to know who she was; maybe she could keep it that way. "Oh, Your Highness," she said, curtsying a little lower than a princess would be expected to, "Um... If you mean Prince Cyrith, I believe he has rejoined the festivities."

"That's odd, I was just in there," the Prince commented, staring off into space in thought. "I cannot help but worry about him sometimes, he's a troublemaker that is certain, but underneath it all he's a good kid."

"Oh I am terribly sorry, I did not mean to delay your way. Thank you for your assistance Miss..." the Prince paused as the girl's name was a blank, "Oh pardon me, you know who I am, but it would seem that I do not know your name."

Amanae hesitated. She couldn't lie outright; this man was bound to find out who she was, sooner or later. At the same time, she didn't want to deal with being a princess just then. "It is Anae, Your Highness," she said finally, picking one of her childhood nicknames.

"Well Miss Anae, it was a pleasure to make your acquaintance," The Prince spoke eloquently, then in a swift motion turned to leave.
Not much farther down the hallway, Ric heard the distinct sound of female laughter. Carefully, he crept around the corner to find his youngest brother flirting with another young dame. "Cyrith, don't you believe we should return to the banquet hall?"Cyrith's ears perked at the sound of his elder brother's voice, a sigh escaping his lips as h heard the proposal, "I shall see you later, m'lady," the young Prince winked then joined his brother, "What is your problem? I was with a lady.""Just looking out for you, I am not sure how mother would react if we had a repeat of this afternoon," Ric smirked, having heard of his brother's escape. Cyrith gulped at the thought of his mother's wrath and simply nodded as they approached the back entrance.
