Colm laughed, and watched as the flames dispersed around him. "I am born of fire, you think will work." With a flick of his wrist the flames disappeared. "Now my turn." This is why he had been meditating, "Roots." He commanded as roots from the surrounding trees grew and wrapped themselves around the legs of the reaper. But as uncontrollable the mystery element was inside of him it froze the roots. "Damn.."

Valkyrie cocked her head to the side, watching the king closely. As powerful as the king is, it seems like he has little control over the elements inside him. That could get dangerous. For him, and for everyone watching. I wish I could get the civilians out of harm's way...but they're not likely to listen to me. Plus, most of them want to see what our king is made of. See if he can really rule this country. She sighed. This is getting worse and worse.

"Born of fire, raised in the dark." Colm informed the reaper. "Shield." he commanded but a dagger appeared in his hands instead. "This isn't the right time, dammit." Nevertheless The king pocketed the dagger but charged it with dark energy. Using his vampiric powers he dodge most of the lightning but a bolt struck his left arm. "This is my favorite shirt." As the king's anger grew so did his power ""Never, attack my people." His eyes grew black, and so did the sky. "You want a lightning storm, I'll show you one. Igneus levis pluvia on thy nutus. Attero" [fiery light, rain on thy command destroy] The bolts of lightning hit all around, it was out of Colm's control. His power faded, his eyes changed back. Feeling a little drain he dragged himself back a little

Tala kept running, hoping Kiro would follow and not try any self righteous heroics. "I can set up a white magic shield but I can't hold it for long by myself! We need to get behind those rocks!"

Hoping to the Gods that there was a lava river deep under the ground to help her, she began drawing her power from her core. Her body temperature shot up considerably and she let go of Makani, not wanting to burn her. The she-wolf sped up to run a little ahead of them for protection.

"Dark element...I served as their assassin before my death...they are a powerful people." The lighting Delrath shot out blared in all directions as it hit the king in the the arm, and he grinned. Delrath stood in awe when the king yelled out. He watched as his eyes grew black and the sky turned black as well, and a bead of sweat dropped down his neck. Lighting began to flash all around him. He began to run in a circle around the king, but was struck to the ground by a huge bolt. The pain of the shock was great, but he got up slowly. "Your people's death will come soon enough, but it is yours that you should worry about." Delrath picked up his scythe, and jumped into the air, ready to slash at his foe.

Tala was panicking. Where the hell was Kiro?! He should have been right behind them; Valkyrie had stayed long enough to yell a warning but she was here with her! Looking up, she saw a lone arrow shoot into the sky and then begin to plummet down.

Of course, Hero Water Boy. She would yell at him later. When Kiro rounded the corner, Tala threw up her arm and drew a quick sign in the air. Light shot from her fingertips and encased them in a dome. It was quite a beautiful sight and it would have awed her that she could remember such a spell had it not been for the life threatening situation for which it was needed.

Beads of sweat poured down her face and neck. She was doing a good job of keeping the shield up, but she wasn't sure how long she was going to last before her magic drained her. A bolt of lightning suddenly hit the dome and Tala winced from the tremendous effort. Makani began barking loudly, frightened.

Valkyrie placed her hand on Tala's shoulder, lending Tala some of her magic. She began heating her own body, willing her strength to pass to Tala, and keep them all protected.
