Let's see... the usual layout of an art thread tends to consist of:
Title 'n Intro
Rules
Samples 'n Prices
Slots
Finished Art
Links Out (to affiliated, friendly art shops), 'n Links In
That's about it for layout... nifty little banners here and there wouldn't hurt. You can doll it up; just don't go overboard and stick in annoying foreign symbols to the brim. I see lots of generic anime fodder and their overabundance of Japanese characters. You'll want to stay away from that.

Hm... lessee...
If you feel a commission is taking some time to finish, it's always best to give your client a heads up, just to reassure them that they haven't been left in the dark.
Use colored text as you like, but refrain from bright colors like violet and yellow.
Hm... that's all I can think of at the moment.

I have no ******** clue either. The Japanese do it when writing songs, so I can do the same thing.
Srsly, there was this song where the chorus was just 'rape' repeated.
