<~>Glad to hear it.<~>
She knew who it was, and she almost expressed so with a few pounds of verbal abuse, but she was sure that this sensitive creature from the space was probably dealing with a relapse of whatever it was he felt when KenoTao did what he did. So instead she kept quiet and continued studying the man in intense silence, her own breathing hushed, save for those who were capable of hearing everything and chose not to let the most trivial of sounds go unnoticed.
It was the redemption statement he made that she responded to, saying something that he nor User would likely expect. "So long as you remember that, all will be well." She said no more, no less. That was it and her eyes darted from the Jedi to the Saiya-jin as though daring either of them to contest this.

Slowly, the right main door of the club opened to the main room, bringing in with it a cold snowy wind, and a lone figure with it. The young woman closed teh door behind her, brushing snow from her shoulders and tail before letting it curl around her waist. She was still dressed in the same outfit as when the confrontation of Keno occured, black jeans and boots, and a grey, wide strapped tanktop.
The Saiya-jin's skin had a slight red tinge to it from the cold, and not overly surprising considering her outfit. Slowly, she walked over towards the bar, looking around the room with her green eyes. She could sense three others elsewhere, but the main room was empty.
"Rather quiet...."
She shrugged and stepped behind the bar, leaning down to peek into the fridge.

User growled, "You continue to preach redemption for a man who isn't going to ask for and has done nothing approaching even caring about what he did."
The warrior proceeded to take off his body armor - which moved like rubber as he took it off and laid it on the ground with a loud thud. He then removed his boots and wristguards, finally working his way into the warm waters of the hot springs in just his baggy pants. The water was nice enough, he guessed. He wasn't one to relax very enough.

Her eyes shot from Valin to User with surprising coldness on her behalf. It was as though User had just spoken blasphemy against the gods. She would allow no such thing. Not now at least, for it opposed her intentions, and that was something she never tolerated from anyone without struggle.
"What makes you think he doesn't care User? I've not even detected him in the past two days anywhere near here. Who's to say he hasn't been in mourning, grieving, futile prayer in all this time? You? Because you know so much about KenoTao. You who knows more about him than any living being think you know everything there is to know of him?" She couldn't hide it now, she was defending him for some reason. She hated him as she thought about it, hated herself as she realized her actions. What the hell was she thinking? She knew, and yet she did not understand. Her resolve though, was unmatched.

User raised a cocky eyebrow at Red. And Valin ducked into the water - apparently not wishing for any harm to come to him. Coward Jeedai.
The warrior focused on Red, his eyes with raging fire behind them, "I could care less if he is mourning or not! The Knight is his redeemer, I am his executioner! I claim not to know what he thinks or whether he cares or not about this! I claim that he will pay for it!" The water around the Saiya-jin had actually begun to boil, small bubbles popping up to the surface around him. He couldn't get the image of the child out of his head, the dead little girl - that's what made him so angry.
"And what of you? Why do you defend him?" User demanded the answer, rather than asked Red.

Finally deciding on a bottle of water, the girl stood, brushing some locks of blond hair out of her face as she did. Twisting the top off as she came around to the front side of the bar, she sighed a little. If anyone wanted to see her, they could come to her themselves. Being alone wasn't a bother at all.
So she promptly sat down on a stool and leaned over on the bar, enjoying her water. Her attention was caught for a moment at the rising of one of the powers outside the club's main room, before returning to her solitude.

It was creepy the way she looked at him. That look that one sometimes gets. That calm, composed, uncaring look that brings you to your knees because somewhere in the back of your mind you know defeat is near, but you don't know where. That look that lets you know just how powerless you are from the resolve, the compassion, the logic of your debate rival. That was the look she gave him as her body slipped into the water.
She approached him, maintaining that gaze. Slowly, carefully, delicately, the water like liquid fire around her.
"I don't know who this knight is, but nothing he can do can be considered redemption unless the b*****d himself approaches and asks for it. Seeing as this club attracts fighters, I assume KenoTao will be...forgiven by taking a senseless beating. Sounds like the people here have so far only taken this slaughter and turned it into a reason to satiate their aggressive souls. Everyone here has blood lust and apparently his actions serve to justify their pursuing it through spilling his blood. Fine, do as you will to 'redeem' him but you become nothing short of a senseless beast yourself if you lay even one finger on him, in the name of redemption, when he hasn't asked for it.
"Secondly, I know we are rivals, but you would do well not to proclaim yourself as his executioner, you who have lost nothing but a series of fights with him. Last I checked he hasn't killed anything or anyone you hold dear. I daresay you should be thankful to him for your humanity and I, dare I say it, should be gracious for the same damn thing. KenoTao only has one executioner for KenoTao only has one life, and I am the avenger. You strip me of that right, and I would never be able to forgive you."
For weaker men, the water at this point might be a bit too much to handle. They'd be on the verge of boiling alive unless they were used to such temperatures. Even her body was starting to glow a little red, but she hardly noticed in her fury.
"As for why I defend him, I'll put it simply. I need him here. He only ventures out to two locations as far as I know and he seems to be leaving one behind which leaves only this club. When he's not here, he vanishes completely. If he cannot return here, then I can't hunt him down and if I can't hunt him down, then I will destroy whoever it was that chased my prize away." Still icy, still calm, but she might as well have been shouting. somehow her voice echoed with the same intensity and it was only growing more and more by the moment.
"Tell me something. Do you have the blood of innocents on your hands? Does Jade, the owner, your daughter, Valin, Unks, Epithany, Kendo...hell does who frequents this place have the right to say they have never spilt blood without just cause?"

"You cannot destroy me. Do not threaten me - I will not think twice about killing you," User threatened her. Who did she think she was? He could kill her a thousand different ways in a mere second - before she had time to think much less react.
"I have the blood of billions on my hands," User said suddenly very softly to her. "I killed because it made me stronger. And I had to grow stronger. If I didn't kill to get to where I am today, then I would have failed my family and myself. There is a being who I will get my revenge against - and he is far more evil and powerful than I."
He glared at her, "I am not innocent. I am a murderer. I am a hypocrite. But I have my purposes. And once those purposes are served, I can die without regret and rot in the deepest, darkest part of Hell."
"That does not absolve KenoTao, however. I may have commited his crime millions of times over - but even one such act is wrong. And since I have known him so long - I don't even think he cares. He is painfully indifferent and his previous actions to save Earth were only done to serve his purposes rather than any other. I doubt he could care less about this city being destroyed."
He put on that cocky, smartass Saiya-jin smirk, "But if you think I'm wrong - why don't you seek him out?"

.....:~:I love how easily one gets into the major conflicts.:~:
.....Still confined to his lonesome company in the Room of Lounge-Scrounging, as he'd christened it, Jayden was yet again rocking himself back and forth a plotted out course of movement. By now, it was indeed fact that he'd claimed each and every one of the hammocks available in the room at one point or another, finally to find his more comforted position in a corner hammock that provided perfect view of entering others, while not putting him too out in the open. .....Of course, he still had yet to see head nor tail of any other but the tailed and eared individual who'd greeted him, and that'd only been on that one occasion. 'Mayhaps I should destroy something. All this depressing loneliness had indeed gotten me about ready to wreak havoc, something I've not done in quite awhile. Only the gods know that'd get me more attention than I could ever dream of, too.' He played out scene after scene in his head of bloodied corpses being thrown sky-high like the chew toys of a rampant puppy.

The Jedi has popped up out of the water to listen to each of them fight about all this. Valin was glad just not to know enough about anyone to be able to get on their cases about anything.
Why couldn't he ever meet normal people with normal problems? Why murders and fighters and just plain crazed people with a ton of emotional, psychological, and other mental problems due to terribly horrible pasts.
Then again, it wasn't like he was too normal himself. The Jedi thing, the Yuuzhan Vong War, Kalee's death, the falling to the Dark Side, the ending up in a whole 'nother galaxy thing.
He merely sighed. Just another day in the life of Valin Lobel, Jedi extraordinaire. He liked the ring to that.

((Isn't it grand Niitsu? x3))
The girl paused again in lifting the bottle to her lips, her green eyes shifting to her left and looking at the entrance to the lounge. There was someone else over there, but a person she didn't recognize. Someone new. Still, the Saiya-jin didn't feel the need to get up and check it out.

"With your blind hatred and your pride you fail to see the bigger picture User. In terms of sheer strength alone, I'm still not on par with you I admit, but where one is lacking they make up for elsewhere, constantly building on their weaknesses while as the same time maintaining an equilibrium. That is what any good warrior knows. What I lack in strength I have been making up with my gift. Do you really think that I left for months on end for no reason? Do you think that the only thing still under my control is water?" She did not elaborate. Let the Saiya-jin strike her if he would. She'd be sure her dying breath, should it come to that, would bring him to the same cold fate.
"You killed for a 'reason.' To grow stronger or else fail your family and yourself. To you this is just. For you, one individual to satisfy a handful of others, you have killed billions. In other words, for the greater cause, your greater purpose, their lives were remotely insignificant. Those billions didn't measure up to your one. Is that what you would persuade me to believe?
"You have your purposes like all of us. You have killed for those purposes, the same as others that live in this club, atoned for in your own personal ways. Who did you atone for but yourselves though? Who really felt better about it? The families you destroyed? The survivors spared your wrath? Did you personally walk up to them and repent from the depths of your soul so that you could call yourself 'reformed?'
"If one act was so damn wrong and you know it, why have you not repented? Wait...nevermind. You're a hypocrite. And yet a hypocrite who has committed crimes far worse without being subject to justice is received warmly here while a man who has all reason to perhaps be mad at the entire world takes out a small ember compared to the flame that is the world's population and is practically outcast by his peers. Peers whose sins are likely far worse than his, whether they choose to accept them or not."
For a moment she let the silence weigh down on them and shortly thereafter she took care of the boiling water, the entire spring freezing over in the blink of and eye with all three inhabitants in it, but only for a moment before returning to normal temperatures. She looked at User, a pain somewhere deep in the back of her eyes that she ignored and covered with a malice like none other. He was not the object of her irritation, but the situation demanded her anger be geared toward him.
"I could care less why he killed those people. I've gotten intelligence on him and if my life went the same ways his did, maybe I would have been the one out there two days ago. Whether he cares or not though, there is a lot about him no one in this damn place knows about him. You'll be surprised I believe at his genius, even if he isn't the most eloquent figure around. It's a damn shame someone of his calibur turned out to screw himself royally by crossing me.
"But hear this User. You may not agree with what Valin says, but remember that you're the hypocrite and he is not. He is the only soul in this entire damned club that has any just right to be able to pass judgment on our most hated of foes for Valin is the only one who has sinned and properly atoned. He doesn't mask his identity behind the convenience of hypocrisy."

The Fierce Deity Vice Captain
|
Posted: Sun Jan 07, 2007 8:59 pm
<< ninja ....Red "Tell me something. Do you have the blood of innocents on your hands? Does Jade, the owner, your daughter, Valin, Unks, Epithany, Kendo...hell does who frequents this place have the right to say they have never spilt blood without just cause?" .... ::raises hand:: ...Deity hasn't. =P >>::The tall Orinian sighs softly, a fierce, cold wind blasting by from his left side. Wrapped snuggly in dark clothing - including his scarf, hat, and trenchcoat, a turtleneck sweater worn underneath - Deity stands alone on a cliffside, facing a jagged wasteland, blanketed in ice. The only sign of life for miles in any direction, he has as much privacy to himself as one could ever hope to have. Chunks of snow cut through the air, capable of covering him were it not for the high winds.
With this place being, ironically, the most tamely quiet place for him to think, Deity has travelled to this frigid place to contemplate the goings on of the last few days. Keno's horrible deed still baffles him. As angering as it is, it is still more perplexing than anything else. Unlike the proud Saiya-jin prince User, the Tonepian does not know Keno as well, and finds selfish or prideful actions so difficult to comprehend. Deity wishes only for an explanation, and for Keno to own up to his childish behavior. Why would he do something like that, especially for no reason other than a tantrum?
The native Tonepian has spent the days since the incident thinking of how he could help, finding none. He knows Keno himself performed some manner of ritual to restore what was obliterated - including billions of lives - when Fierce was unleashed upon the Earth for seven days, but Deity knows not what he did. He and his father studied into the powers of his ancient Seinorei blade, finding that it lacked the power to bring the dead back to life. The most he could do is bring back what was demolished, creating little more than a ghost town. It is disheartening that such a divine, pure sword can strike down evil as quickly as any, yet cannot undo all of the direct effects of darkness.
Digging his gloved hands deeper into the pockets of his dark jeans, Deity strains to see through his fogging glasses, despite knowing how little there is to see. More frozen wilderness. It brings to his ever curious mind the thought of the afterlife - where does one go after death? Is it a simple end to all senses, or something more? If so, does the course of one's life determine where they end up, Deity ponders. If such is the case, he can't imagine his own final place of residence looking a terrible lot different than this barren desert of ice. Or somewhere equally as deserted and lonesome. Then again, perhaps he will inhabit a darker, more painful realm. Whatever happens when life's candle burns out, he feels he will soon find out for himself.
With only a sigh, the boy tilts his head down, concluding that the time he spent here has been enough to accomplish what he needed. Still, he should visit an old friend while in the area. Taking a right, Deity hops from the ledge, swiftly disappearing in the white blur of wind-blown snow and ice.::
