Still she stood there, on the brink. She never lifted her head, never looked at him. The girl jsut stood there in silence, clenching her fists even as slight trickles of blood crept between her fingers and gathered at her knuckles.

"Forgive...? For what, for living...? There are those worse out in the universe Keno....far worse. Those just like you, who've killed the innocent...."

Jade didn't feel the drop in temperature, and barely noticed anything or anyone else around besides her and Keno.

"Like the one speaking to you right now....so try one more time, before I pummel you for upsetting Ichigo and hurting those who care so much about you....what happened?"

Slowly, Jade lifted her head, her green eyes narrowed under her crown of golden hair. They were glistening with unfallen tears, yet hurt, angry, and a wide mixture of emotions.

"And trust me....this will never happen again...."

Jade listened, and listened well. She knew what he was talking about. Suddenly, her tense body relaxed and she let out a heavy sigh, hanging her head again.

"And so, by killing those innocents, you become the same as the military. And turn those left behind into you....."

Her power lowered back down to it's normally calm state and her aura faded. It seemed she lost the urge to pound Keno's face in. What good would it do? She'd still be upset afterwards, and he'd still feel the same as well, just be bruised on the outside.

She could see where he was coming from though. If something ever happened to Deity....

"....I'm not sure she'd be proud of you right now though, Brother......"

Without a word, the Saiya-jin girl turned away from Keno, her tail hanging lifelessly behind her as she started to walk for the doorway again She nodded slightly at Valin as she passed into the hall and the main room beyond. Jade turned towards the bar, and carefully lifted the slumbering figure of Ichi and brought her to the lounge. The little kitsune would at least be more comfortable there.

Then Jade returned to the main room, stuck her hands in her pockets and then out the main door for a walk in the brisk night air.

Back to life at those words. You become the same as the military. Hadn't thought of it that way before, hadn't cared to. The military was bad, the military was selfish and couldn't see beyond it's own narrow point of view. The military went after something and trampled over whoever was in its way to reach it. He didn't act like that...most of the time.

When he did though, slaughtering these powerless beings. Turn those left behind into you. Intriguing thought. Seemed all but impossible in this world. The people were way more selfish on the outside, nowhere near as innocent. Could they really feel the same he he felt when they woke up the next morning, got out of school, came home from work, and found out their husband, wife, brother, or sister was dead? Would they really come out looking for him? Most times he didn't kill those with families, and today he killed whole families. Still though, did that make it right?

I'm not sure she'd be proud of you right now, Brother...

What would she think of you?

"She'd probably kick my a**...just like everyone that's bound to find out." He didn't see overtly worried about this. He still didn't seem to be sorry, but it was obvious that he was feeling something. For now though, back to the village...not here. Not tonight. Maybe no ever.
