Just clearing something up.
Mother/Earthbound is definetly a game you can be bad at.
Also, why won't my bat work, and how do I get the dad to give me more money, like he does occasionally.

Bear in mind that that s***ty excuse for a powerful weapon only has a 75% chance of hitting. Sorry if I said missing, I meant hitting. This bat deserves...

videogameguy44 Dark Super Sonic xXxBusterxXx That just strengthens our reign. For we are; "Emulated MOTHER!" @gameguy44: Who did Tatsu battle you with/who were you battling Tatsu with? Tatsu was using sonic and the PSI boys and I was using Captain Falcon and Pit His mains and your mains? I don't see how you would be able to stay on the corners, since there's no out-running Sonic. It'd be like: 'FAL-*Spindashed*" I like using PK Thunder on Pit. A real good kill move when he's been knocked down low.

TIPS ON HOW TO OWN WITH LUCARIO!
Tip 1: Double Team is a LIFE SAVING ABILITY, just as it is in the Pokemon Games. Master it quickly.
Tip 2: Down smash attack attacks both ways. Like a bisexual.
Tip 3: While in the air, said down attack can be used often, and is a great counter for people trying to get the jump on you after you go flying.
Tip 4: If you can avoid it (Read: Not about to get ring out) dont use ExtremeSpeed (The Up Special). It's pretty pointless as it does no damage like Fox/Falco/Wolf's Up Special.
Tip 5: High percentage? No problem, charge in at full speed!
My favorite way to use him:
Charge in, take the hits, bob and weave, pick your spots, Double Team, and fly around the screen like you're Sonic the Hedgehog. Try and get your Final Smash while you have a high percentage going. I like to keep people away from me when I can, and if I have to take hits, no problem, I'm pretty good at staying in the ring.
When Final Smash arrives, point it where the most amount of people are, or just towards the one you hate the most ( pirate ) If I'm sent flying, I come back with a vengeance! I do the curb stomp (Down attack), and if they try to attack back, I simply Double Team and let Lucario counter for me.
Keep Aura Sphere charged, and when you see your chance, fire your lazorz. Keep in mind that you can keep your lazor charged by either moving (in which Lucario does a 180 to face the opposite direction), or hitting the shield button.
Lastly, remember that he is designed for high risk, high reward. Take your chances, but dont be an idiot. You'll just keep losing like that.

Perhaps the online strategy guide at starmen.net will be of use to you. You'll see it listed as EBZero walkthrough on the right side of the screen.
But still, should you make it far in the second Earthbound game, DON'T EQUIP THAT BAT! IT'S AN EPIC FAIL...

You guys know what the Casey Bat is a reference to? It's that mock epic poem Casey at the Bat, where a guy named Casey is a really good baseball player and it's up to him to win the game for his team. But he lets the first two pitches go by on purpose, and misses the second one.
I dunno why, but I found that to be really cool xD Probably because we read that poem in class the day I got that bat in Earthbound.

You know the part where you play as Jeff in Winters? There's a way to get one of Ness' stronger weapons early in the game at that time. It's the T-Rex bat, being sold at the store there. You'll haveto spend some time beating enemies and sellind small stuff to rack up the price though... but I hear it's well worth it!

Some less obvious than others. Oh yeah, I know about that. I just don't have the patience to try xD (Why I didn't go for any of the 1/128 items) I also like how we hijacked the Brawl thread to talk about MOTHER xP
