"WATCH OUT!!!!!!" Rouge screamed, jumping up from her position behind the table. She didnt' care if the image of the woman was Danny and she didn't care whose side this a** was on. Her years of being a space pirate were going to either save or destroy someone's life right then and she sure as hell didn't want it to be the dark haired guardian. Lifting the large plasma gun she'd been handed earlier she fired, aiming at the Jorianth. The spirit of a dead woman wasn't going to stop her from trying to kill that sonuva gun. He'd left two children parentless and he wasn't gonna leave a third like that.

The recently dead woman had little effect on Taylor, because she had never gotten a good look at the corpse in the first place, so didn't recognize it. But she saw the shadows.

Taylor would have shouted Nic's name, but she didn't know it. So she shouted wordlessly again, wildly swinging the wand like a sword to intercept the darting shadows. Her attack was wide and uncoordinated, but she managed to slice through a few of them.

Whether that had done any damage or not was yet to be seen.

Ignore it, he urged himself. You reeling in pain from them or trying to dodge them is just a chance for him to pay more attention to other things.

Was this even working?? He had no idea whatsoever. At least, they were coming up on his guarded side. He could sit still and be just fine. But was he going to do that?

Psh, NO. Nicolai crouched low, what he thought would be below the shadows and the incoming shots, whipping the blade around at Jorianth's feet like a section staff. Foot shot.

Coailiann scrambled to her feet and, in the confusion, managed to get herself down the hall and to the training room. The closet had lost it's ward - that wasn't good. Was it? That meant the other wards had fallen?

Crap and a half. But that also meant that she could get in. Taking a sword equipped with light abilities, one with shadow (incase this Sicily was a bad thing), and one with neutral...and loading herself with two or three other plasma guns, the girl waddled out of the training room, looking lost.

The small child really couldn't hold things for very long and instead grabbed the light sword and ran into the fray, "OUT OF MY WAY! WEAPONS IN THE HALL!" she screeched, hopefully poking some part of the shadowmancer with the tip of the light-enhanced sword.

...She was hopeless with weapons. Hopefully she didn't hit anyone else.

Nataki was all but in a numb state of sheer terror. She had been quiet all this time, creeping along after the others, denying the inevitable--but it was impossible now. She was scared, she'd never seen death before. She'd never seen someone die. But the body was awake now, standing in front of her murderer as though she could stop him. Nataki fled, having no weapons--she'd only get in the way. And there were still children here! Hurrying towards Ari, the mousy woman panted with fear and adrenaline, swallowing hard.

Squeaking with fear, the blonde darted into the training room as well, trembling hands seizing a small dagger so she could clutch it tightly to her chest. Whta should she do? Should she stay with the children? Or should she aid the others who were fighting outside?

Go? Okay. It could go.

'I'll be back,' the spirit promised. It couldn't say how or why, but these people were becoming very... important, somehow. Something felt drawing about this group, and it didn't think it could stay away, even if it wanted. 'I'll be back soon, so please stay safe until then!'

Considerably more than a blur, the whitish form sped out of the area, ducking past Sicily with a hasty "'scuse me, thank you!". The light creature would be enough to ensure the safety of the living, it hoped- but it had to find a friend, and then maybe they could work together to do something about this mess....

((Frackin edit. - -''))

"Danny!" She stopped the woman, pleading for what she did not know, unsure of what to do. When she heard Coailiann scream about the weapons she knew she had to help and fight, but she didn't want to leave the body of whom she thought had been gone. Hesistating, she ran back towards coailiann, picking up the neutral sword. Let's just hope i don't end up ******** things up...

"Hm--" Perhaps deciding (and wisely so) that standing in one place while all these attacks were flying at him, Jorianth opted for a very simple and effective way to move smoothly out of the way and turn everyone's attacks at them, all at once.

The shadowmancer disappeared into his shadow.

This meant that the gunfire? All headed straight for Kay. Whose sword attack? Was coming closer to hitting Nic, who was likewise risking the girl with his sweeping attack.

But that wasn't all. Oh, no. This circus was just getting started. Reforming a good distance away from the group, the shadowmancer rolled his hands together a moment, forming a small drop of his energy, and flicked it upwards. Going straight through the roof, the energy exploded a short distance away, scattering its energy around for miles and miles- and, as any streetwise natives of the in between realm would know, signalling to the other Big-Ups. Dinner's here.

Danny, meanwhile, smoothly faced Shira. Her lips mumbled something soundless, and she reached out a hand, almost as it to grab the other woman by the front of her shirt. Inches away, though, her fingers flexed; a wave of shadow lashed out from her fingertips, a solid attack designed to knock the other woman aside and let the dead girl do what she was meant to do.

Taylor, having temporarily fended off the shadows, leapt to strike at the shadowmancer- but her clumsy blade met nothing but air, even when she knew she should have hit.

The enemy was simply gone.

Stumbling a little, she stopped, looking wildly for where the creature might have gone. In that moment, she had managed to put herself directly in the center of the fray. Swords whizzed mere inches from her ear, the wind ruffling her hair.

Oh. s**t. All bravado temporarily gone, Taylor scampered away from the now-misplaced fighting as fast as she could. Maybe she'd find Jorianth that way... Though she had absolutely no idea what she would do when she did.

!

Nicolai withdrew Akori's sword, that way that it was famous for, with a simple dusting of vapor. In his crouched position he could tell this put several people in danger. He lurched forward, his already extended left arm reaching for Coailiann's ankle. He grasped it tight and yanked toward him, pulling Kay onto her rear in a flash.

He hadn't eyes in the back of his head, of course. He hadn't a clue what he himself was up against; just that this was a mess. Too many at once.

Didn't I tell them to keep back?!?!

Crap! Sicily was unsure what she could do. Empathy and...Oh! She hadn't done that in so long that she almost forgot that she could. When Jorianth signalled, she knew she was in deep doodoo. That signal meant that the other three would be coming, and quickly.

Nogoodnogoodnogood.

Thinking quickly, her own summoning shot up straight in the air, following his, and exploded in much the same fashion. Hers, however, was a bright, washed out white that almost - almost - canceled out Jorianth's with the lightness. Shadows did not do well with light so close.

Hopefully Osrit and Cri would get their butts over as soon as they could. And maybe bring some of their light spirit friends.

As for her own summoning, hundreds of tendrils of light were beginning to back her up, swarming and swirling around excitedly. Were they going to fight? Light liked to feed off of shadow.

Fumbling with the door, risking a nervous glance towards Ari, Nataki darted into the hallway, back into the fray. she had scuttled quickly and quietly down, yelping at the loud sounds, the swords, the gunfire--until she saw the little girl. Holding a sword, as though she very well meant to attack the shadowmancer, despite the fact she was simply a child. Poor Nataki perhaps failed to realize that Kay was no ordinary girl--but she was right in the way of--

Clapping her hands over her mouth, Nataki sprinted towards the scene, arms pumping for speed, ignoring the danger for the moment. Someone had pulled the girl the to ground, thank God, and Nataki skidded on her knees, frantically, making sure neither her nor her savior were hurt. "Are you all right?" She managed to gasp at Nicolai, the dagger clenched tightly in her left fist, worriedly peering at Kay. "And you? Are you okay?"

The flash made her wince, throwing one arm up to save herself from being temporarily blind. That man--Jorianth, he was gone, and that certainly wasn't good.

Coailiann was about to screech at Nicolai when the bullets whizzed over her head and she narrowly missed the tip of a sword. Oh, crap. She mouthed a thank you and immediately scrambled toward him to cling. The new creatures seemed to be having a show down of some kind and the shadow thing had disappeared. Jorianth.

Was it over? Please say it was over.

The sidhe turned her head to the new woman and nodded lightly, "F...fine."

Just a bit shaken. Okay, a lot shaken.

Shira fell on her a** with the sword as she was pushed by what she thought was danny. She looked up just in time to catch Nicolai saving Coailiann from certain death and Jorianth dissapearing.

She gasped and covered her eyes with her sleeve as the blinding light spread across the sky. "What the HELL?!"

Nicolai oofed a little and sat up, a little white-haired girl clinging to him for dear life. His head turned, eyes narrowing to adjust to the sudden white light.

That can't be... too bad.... he thought, noting the light the girl had been putting forth.

"I think it's time to bail," he said shakily, catching several eyes. "We have to get out of here."

Clashes of titans? Too used to it. ... Too used to it. He didn't want to go through it again. Not when...
