Silverstar(( Okay, back from the guild hiatus, everyone remember a few things: -Today's the MEDICINE CAT gathering and it's mid-day -StormClan is in the makeshift camp near the lakeside in a small patch of grass surrounded by meager bushes - There's a rogue in the camp who was injured and is being treated with what little herbs were salvaged ))
Silverstar looked up as Hareleap approached her and Thunderflight. She flicked her ears in acknowledgement to his question. "We should've been giving orders," she murmured quietly before standing up. She turned to Thunderflight, and the two she-cats murmured together for a few moments. "What is your report?" Thunderflight flicked her ears, nodding. The patrol had also made a trip to the old Clan camp in the hollow to assess damage. The look on her face was discouraging. "The territory is slightly damaged-some trees have shifted and several burrows have collapsed," the deputy began quickly. "But the camp is severely damaged...the medicine den and nursery have caved in. None of our herbs are salvageable-they're buried under the rocks. We only managed to get what had been pushed outside the den, and Ebonysun gave it to Moonblaze. It was only a mouthful." The weight of the misfortune tugged at Silverstar's gut, and her heart dropped. We've lost our herbs, she thought in despair. Only a mouthful was left! We had just gathered them, too...
There was no way there were any herbs left on the territory. They had scavenged every nook and cranny to collect what they previously had, and now it was all lost. We're going to have to borrow from another Clan.
Flicking her tail, Silverstar turned to Hareleap. "Right now, our biggest concern is food. We'll grab a few warriors and go out on a hunting patrol. Plenty of prey has been uprooted from their homes; now is our chance to grab what we can while they are at a disadvantage. Thunderflight, you'll stay here and guard the Clan. We're very exposed here...I want three guards on watch at all times."
Thunderflight nodded in silent assent. Turning to Hareleap, Silverstar continued, "Remember, if you have any wounds, check in with Moonblaze."
The silver-furred she-cat padded to the center of camp and yowled, "I want a group of warriors to join me on a patrol! Ebonysun, Rustdawn, and Dawnsky, please join us. Take your apprentices if you want. The rest of you, stay in camp and follow Thunderflight's orders. Let's move!"
Silverstar raced out of the makeshift camp, her eyes flashing. Her thoughts buzzed as she planned how to fix this mess they were in.
(( We're not actually going to a certain place in the territory to post the hunt; they'll just be gone for a while and then come back.
Also only Silverstar and Thunderflight know that there are no herbs other than the small amount they brought with them when fleeing the earthquake, and that's being used on the rogue...dun dun DUN ))

LOCATION: Makeshift camp COMPANY: Moonblaze, Delgue >> Silverstar OOC: You have no idea how hard I had to try to think up bad words for cats XD Also, Beedis hasn't logged in since October sooo...maybe we can just say the rogue died so Ebony can gloat about how he was right and they wasted herbs?
It was as if a violent flame had lit up in the ebony warriors eyes. At Moonblaze’s words stating that Delgue was a guest in Stormclan and that he was here being treated for his wounds, Ebonysun immediately unsheathed his claws with a sharp hiss. There was a rogue in his clan, in the medicine cat’s den no less, being treated with the hard earned herbs he had managed to scavenge. Nearly all the herbs were washed away after the flood, so the precious few they managed to scavenge had to be saved to be used in emergency treatments, should any accidents occur. In times like this, he won’t be surprised. ”You mean to say,” he snarled as he took a step closer to the medicine den’s entrance, his flame coloured eyes locked onto the injured form of the rogue, ”that even though we are in danger of running out of herbs because all of them were buried under mud, meaning that if some cat is injured they are in danger of infection, you’re still using all of it to treat a crowfood-eating rogue? For foxdung’s sake!” The black tom spat furiously at the white medicine cat, and he took another menacing step forwards, razor-sharp claws unsheathed as if he had no qualms about injuring her to get to the rogue and end his sorry life with one swipe of his claws.
He probably would have done exactly that, had Silverstar’s yowl not rung through the air. Hearing his name being announced as part of a hunting patrol, Ebonysun’s bright orange eyes narrowed and his claws sheathed. Moonblaze and the rogue were safe from his judgemental wrath...for the moment, at least. ”The rogue’d better not be here when I return, or I swear on Starclan’s righteousness that I will end his sorry life with my own fangs and claws.” He hissed in a low and dangerous tone, his face merely a claw’s length away from Moonblaze’s nose and his fangs exposed in a terrifying snarl. With one last glare at Moonblaze and Delgue, Ebonysun bounded towards Silverstar, easily locating her silver pelt amongst the crowd of cats. ”Silverstar.” He meowed curtly, not bothering to hide his disgust at her letting in a rogue and using what little herbs they had on a rogue. Idly he wondered were Rustdawn and Dawnsky were...on their own, somewhere secluded perhaps?

Of course Dawnsky hadn't done anything with her apprentice yet. It would have been surprising if they had found the time, because.. Well, with everything that had happened since the apprentice ceremony. The ceremony itself seemed like a life away, but that's what a busy while could do. "Do you think that Silverstar made the right choice? ... The tabby warrior snorted in disbelief. He could not believe he was hearing that. Hadn't she always been the one to encourage him? To tell him to not give up when his apprentice duties seemed too much to bear? And yet, there she was, doubting herself. Doubting her abilities to be a good mentor, when she had been very much like a second mentor to him when he was an apprentice. "Fox dung..." He muttered, poking her in the side with his tail. "Of course she did. And if you don't think so... Then you doubt Silverstar's judgement. And that's a path you don't want to travel down." He purred, falling silent once more. He always loved chatting with her.
"Rustdawn?" He froze. Here it comes... He thought. The moment he had been dreading. When she would tell him that she really didn't feel anything beyond a friendship for him. It would be awful. Rustdawn nodded his head at her words. He remembered it very clearly. A look somewhere between very sad and somewhat hopeful had placed itself in his eyes. When she continued, and her ear flicked; he almost laughed at it. He used to tease her about that, but her ear always seemed to flick like that when she was either embarrassed or thinking. "Sorry." He mumbled when she went on talking about doing things at different times. The tom was barely paying attention anymore, he was preparing himself to block out the words he didn't want to hear. Of course, then she stopped suddenly and he stared at her. Rustdawn thought back for a moment, trying to remember what she had been saying, hoping that he hadn't tuned all of it out. "I love you too." At least, that's what it sounded like. He wasn't too sure, because she had been talking so fast. But... Maybe it was right? He could check... And risk embarrassment, or he could ask her to repeat it. Though it looked like she wouldn't want to...
Then Silverstar's meow rang though the camp and he almost sighed with relief. Maybe he could think about it and respond later? Besides, there were more important things to attend to. Well... he assumed they were more important, because if there was no clan... Then there really wasn't any point in loving... Was there? Rustdawn rose to his paws and gently shouldered Dawnsky. "You should take Lightningpaw..." He meowed. "That way you can be doing something with your apprentice." The tabby warrior gave her ear a swift lick before bounding off to where Silverstar and Ebonysun were waiting. When Dawnsky had joined them, he tore off after Silverstar as their silver leader raced out of their makeshift camp. ↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪ The earth can be a heavy ride XXXXXXXXX When the clouds are in your eyes XXXXXXBut I feel a calling size=3]indent XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX I will rise, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX I won't be falling size=3]indent And I'll escape the gravity XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX And I'll reach my destiny size=3]indent xxxxxx ↪ And I'll fly away indentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentThe gates of heaven will open wide I will be indentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentI will rise size=3]indent There won't be compromise indentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentindentAs I take to the open skies

Dawnsky purred at her friend's comment. "Guess not..." She said with a small laugh. It was a certain turn, him trying to cheer her up. Out of the two, he had always been the more serious one. Whereas she had always been one to romp around. It was different, but it was nice.
White ears drew back when Rustdawn just stared at her. That was not good. It meant one of two things. Either he hadn't understood her -which was understandable considering how quickly she had spoken- or he no longer held those feelings. She really hoped it was the former.
Dawnsky jumped a bit when Silverstar's voice rang throughout the camp. Patrol? The pretty white she-cat rose to her paws and purred a bit when Rustdawn nudged her shoulder. She had no clue what that meant, but she'd ask about it later. He had a point and she was going to take it. Provided she could find her apprentice.
"Lightningpaw!" Dawnsky called when she finally located her apprentice. "We're going on a patrol with Silverstar." The white warrior meowed before leading the way after the rest of the patrol.

A beautiful white she-cat mused in the silent serenity of her thoughts as she listened with careful ears to the shadowy warrior before her.
A snowy she-cat as white as a cloud; with kind, crystal clear, and understanding blue eyes to match.
She believed in mercy and hospitality to all, no matter who they were.
The other was a coal-black tom as dark as a starless night; his eyes two flaming orbs of intense hostility. He believed in ruthlessness and justice to all those who oppose him, especially outsiders.
Two very different cats with very different opinions.
Though, Moonblaze couldn’t help the twinge of anger rise in her heart at Ebonysun’s response.
”You mean to say, that even though we are in danger of running out of herbs because all of them were buried under mud, meaning that if some cat is injured they are in danger of infection, you’re still using all of it to treat a crowfood-eating rogue? For foxdung’s sake!”
With that, he spat in her face and took another threatening step forward, clearly challenging the medicine cat to test him. He had even unsheathed his claws; the mid-day light reflecting dangerously from their thorn-like structures.
He was not only challenging her, Ebonysun was promising that he would proceed to fulfilling his sick sense of justice by punishing the offender, which, in this case, was Delgue. Though, the serene she-cat felt that this went for much more than the wounded rogue.
That didn’t change the fact that he was prepared to take down Moonblaze herself, if she stood in his way.
Which, she did, quite literally.
”Warrior, stand down and open your ears! While you have a point, that if an illness or injury suddenly makes itself known, we will not have the means to treat is properly. Besides the meager herbs you have so kindly gifted us, we are surely unprepared.
In that case, yes, it isn’t wise to use our precious herbs on a stranger who is neither an ally nor a clan cat; or a StormClan cat for that matter. But, I do not regret using what little we had left to care for this injured cat. I have never turned down a cat in pain, and I will not start now.
Just because this tom is a rogue, it, by no means, classifies him as a threat. He is still a cat, just like you and me.
Do not defy me Ebonysun, for I can assure you that arguing with a medicine cat will get you no where, nor will it bring you to any favorable conclusions you’ll like. He will stay under my care until further notice.”
A gaze equivalent to pyres of fury battled against pools of wise, peaceful, and stern icy compassion.
Very different indeed.
There was no mistaking the tension between the two, though it seemed to radiate more from the black tom who opposed Moonblaze’s final judgment.
It was painfully obvious that neither cat was backing down from their beliefs.
Just how far is he willing to take this…this hatred…?
More than unsatisfied with her answers, Ebonysun took another pawstep towards her, appearing as if he was willing to strike her and her unconscious patient if it would only prove that he was completely and utterly serious about forcing his unjust beliefs on her.
Before the fuming tom could make his move against the still and unwavering StormClan medicine cat, a strong and authoritative yowl echoes throughout the makeshift camp like a blessing to the growing heat between the warrior and healer.
"I want a group of warriors to join me on a patrol! Ebonysun, Rustdawn, and Dawnsky, please join us. Take your apprentices if you want. The rest of you, stay in camp and follow Thunderflight's orders. Let's move!"
Moonblaze silently sending a prayer of thanks to her warrior ancestors for Silverstar’s call, which ordered Ebonysun away from her and, especially, the vulnerable rogue.
Along with Moonblaze, Ebonysun realized how lucky she and the rogue were; both knowing full well that Ebonysun wouldn’t dare go against Silverstar and her orders…at least…she thought so, anyways. Apprently, this didn’t stop the black warrior from leaving her with a parting threat that failed to mask the dangerousness and vehemence that emitted itself in waves from the dark furred tom.
”The rogue’d better not be here when I return, or I swear on Starclan’s righteousness that I will end his sorry life with my own fangs and claws.”
I’d like to see you try… I’ll turn my back on StarClan before I let you harm any cat under my care…impudent warrior; you are in no position to make threats against me.
His threat was as plain was the sun in the clear blue sky outside.
He was openly threatening the medicine cat’s authority and her defenseless patient.
While his expression and venom-laced words of vicious malice would’ve intimidated most cats into withering mice underpaw of a hunter successfully. The larger clan cat who easily dwarfed the older she-cat with his size, was a force to be reckoned with…especially now.
But…
Moonblaze stood her ground.
Instead, the fair healer straightened to meet Ebonysun’s burning gaze; like two mini suns, with her own powerful icy blue ones that blazed with the lucid beauty of two full moons coated with a patina of crystalline blue.
Ignoring the daunting tone and look he regarded her and Delgue with, Moonblaze simply narrowed her eyes in the slightest and curled her tail around her paws comfortably, as if mocking his hostility and threats with a confident, calm, and brave appearance.
She could almost taste the rancid breath and negative emotion from the ebony warrior towering before her.
He was virtually nose to nose with her, their eyes boring into one another’s with unreadable emotions and unspoken words…daring the other to wane.
She would not falter…
”Pointless threats will not turn in your favor, Ebonysun…do not make me repeat myself…”
The raven-pelted warrior glowered hard in response; baring his teeth in a final warning to the only visible cats of the makeshift medicine den he was currently present in. Moonblaze only narrowed her eyes, regarding the warrior with an undecipherable look that almost questioned if he would continue this futile dispute. Seemingly finished with the stare down that followed, the black warrior turned towards the clearing in order to meet with the patrol Silverstar had requested.
”Choose your battles and who your fight them with wisely…
And…
Heed my warning and do not challenge a medicine cat. Do not challenge me.”
Moonblaze advised him as he padded away to a waiting silver leader and the other members of the patrol, her eyes narrowed to slits while watching his fading form.
When she was sure he was out of her field of vision, Moonblaze sighed, releasing the building frustration and tension she had bottled up until now. She didn’t understand why he felt so strongly against outsiders and half-clan cats; knowing all too well of his discrepancies with her best friend, Thunderflight, and her family...and…especially…those who held no relation nor blood to clan cats. All she knew is that this hatred he held would lead him nowhere promising.
Shaking her head as if to dispel any more thoughts and physical strain over the matter, Moonblaze padded towards the entrance and proceeded to collecting the herbs Ebonysnu had delivered earlier.
She lay the meager bundle before her with downcast eyes, concern and disappointment evident.
Before her was a pitiful collection of herbs consisting of a diminutive stick of barely usable juniper berries, a strand of horsetail, half a stem of marigold, and a tiny helping of partially shredded herbs of several kinds…some of it being what looked like tansy, thyme, and a little yarrow.
A mouthful of herbs.
A mouthful…
It was pathetic.
Sad really.
It was even more pathetic knowing that this was all she literally had left, using the remainder she had salvaged beforehand on the rogue and the newest victim, Snowstreak.
Offering an appreciative thanks to StarClan for everything she had, the ashen she-cat began disputing each herb to their rightful compartments she had created prior to her encounter with Ebonysun. While her feelings were mixed towards him at the moment, she still thanked him heartily for his contribution to the herb storage that was non-existent before his helping.
As she did this, Moonblaze found herself lost in thoughts, pondering the events that had unfurled recently.
Snowstreak is unconscious…asleep in the back corner of the den with her wounds properly tended to…she should make a full recovery for she’s strong and young…Amberpaw…who’s beside the rouge…closest to the entrance…on the otherpaw…she is in a questionable state…sleeping and hopefully recovering well after her treatment…what concerns me the most is her broken hind leg…StarClan knows if she’ll properly walk…or move…ever again. Then there’s Delgue…he’ll heal nicely too…though I don’t know how long he had sustained such life-threatening wounds…at least Snowstreak was brought here hastily…just like Amberpaw. Who knows when Delgue was finally found? I know he was out and about, wandering our territory like that during the quake…should I move him towards the back in case Ebonysun gets any ideas? Great StarClan, we don’t need any more trouble…especially with rouges…but…he’s injured. I’ve made the right choice to use most of our herbs that remained on him…right?
…
Oh StarClan…will StormClan survive…will the clans survive whatever you have planned for us?
Moonblaze mulled this final phrase in her mind for sometime as she finished her dealings with the recovered flora Ebonysun gathered. She had never doubted StarClan before…but…she hopes things could become clearer…that her clan could have an upperhand in the next tragedy…that she could keep everyone safe…
Hope glistened in the she-cat’s icy gaze as she remembered the Moonpool visit later tonight…
Surely her warrior ancestors would share something of importance with her then…?
They had too! She knew they wouldn’t deceive or abandon her.
Especially in this time of need.
What, with so little herbs and protection…her clan was more vulnerable than ever!
She couldn’t leave the den without the worry that something…or somecat would put her charged in peril.
She could only hope that her clan would survive and continue to have the paws of StarClan guiding them in the right direction.
All she could do was hope that more of that off prophecy would unravel at the meeting tonight.
All she had was hope…╚════════════════════════════╝◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄◄❝Tʜᴇ MOON ᴡɪʟʟ ᴀʟᴡᴀʏs BLAZE ᴛʜʀᴏᴜɢʜ ᴛʜᴇ DARKNESS...❞

LOCATION: Stormclan makeshift camp COMPANY: Silverstar, Ebonysun, Rustdawn, Dawnsky OOC: Sorry had to jump straight to it, too lazy to make a greeting post and another explanation post.
It was a long time before Valiantstride arrived at the Stormclan camp. The tiger-striped tom was out of breath and his legs shook with exhaustion due to the sheer urgency of his trip. With the ground boggy and marshy, it was twice as hard for him to walk through and sapped his energy twice as quickly, not to mention he had to run here. His normally sleek and perfectly groomed orange pelt was stained and splashed with trying mud, and his paws felt shaky as they pounded the ground. His swollen paw was held off the ground and he travelled almost just as quickly as he normally did on four legs, displaying perfectly the impressive speed and tenacity of Breezeclan cats.
At the moment, however, pride and appearances were the last of his concern. The normally majestic and impressive looking Breezeclan deputy panted breathlessly as he finally arrived at Stormclan’s old camp, and to his disappointment it was utterly ruined. Where was the rest of the clan? The striped tom forced his tired muscles to work as he bounded forwards, and it took a lot of effort and even more time before he managed to locate the line of trees behind a slope, where he could smell more cats gathered there. Finally, Stormclan!
Valiantstride wheezed breathlessly as he clambered up the slope and stumbled into Stormclan camp, his paw held against his chest. Instantly his eyes darted around, seeking out the silver pelt of their leader. It did not take him long to locate the long haired she-cat, and the deputy instantly made his way over. ”Silverstar!” He wheezed as he trotted over on three legs, stopping a cat-length away from the leader, dipping his head and averting his eyes in respect. To the other three warriors who were present, his ear twitched as a brief greeting. He had to skip the pleasantries and questions, as he was here for an urgent purpose. ”With the most recent earthquake, Breezeclan was affected badly, and I see that Stormclan is in an even worse state than our clan.” he meowed as he cast a gaze around Stormclan’s ruined camp, wondering just how bad their casualties were, ”We, unfortunately, have lost medicine cat Wolfspirit, and he now hunts with Starclan. With only Mosspaw left, we have only an apprentice and no medicine cat, leaving our clan in grave danger.” Valiantstride gulped and took a deep breath before continuing. Finally, the moment to swallow his pride has come. ”Galestar has sent me here in hopes that you would be willing to send one of Stormclan’s medicine cat to Breezeclan and complete Mosspaw’s apprenticeship. With no medicine cat, I - and Galestar - both fear that Breezeclan would not fare for long.” His tail swayed slightly in the uncomfortable awkwardness, aware that many pairs of eyes were trained upon the tiger-striped Breezeclan deputy.

Silverstar (( wuuoops probably shoulda posted this sooner but let's pretend they returned from the hunt? XD ))
Silverstar padded back into camp with her small thrush and starling, her green eyes glinting. She placed it on the small fresh-kill pile, nose twitching, and glanced around. Thunderflight nodded to her, signaling that all was well. Suddenly, one of the guards yowled as a strange cat bustled into camp. Silverstar immediately jumped up, her fur spiking as the airy BreezeClan scent hit her nose.
Valiantstride strode into camp, unperturbed by the shocked yowls, and immediately began talking-in front of everyone-about what had transpired in BreezeClan. Silverstar stared at him, too aghast for words. After a few moments, she recovered, and swiftly swooped in next to him and pushed him forward, away from the center of the Clan's makeshift campsite. Thunderflight quickly dashed in front of everyone, ordering them to continue their duties and not to worry, that Silverstar would handle the situation. Once they were alone, she whipped around and bared her teeth in his face. "I ought to skin you where you stand," she hissed furiously. "The gall with which you tresspassed onto our territory, right after we all suffered from that disaster, is beyond understanding! Do you think you can just stroll into StormClan territory whenever you wish? That there aren't borders that you need to respect?" She spat before continuing in a low growl, "I will overlook your blatant disrespect ONLY because of the dire situation we are facing. I hope this blunder was due to your sincere urgency." She lashed her tail, warning him to remain silent, before inhaling deeply as she sat on her haunches. Closing her eyes for a few moment, she cleared her anger away before analyzing what he had said.
"Here's a tip," she began. "You never discuss your Clan's weaknesses openly in front of the entirety of another Clan. I'll have to make an announcement later today assuring them that everything will be alright. We are not eager to lend the paws of our medicine cats-especially not now. I'll be hearing from several of my clanmates before tonight is over because of your outburst. We talk about these things in private for a reason; I don't want my clanmates to worry."
Her eyes flashed angrily once more at him before she sighed, "Alright, here's the issue-and don't go shouting this at the next cat you meet needlessly. Go straight to Galestar with this and wait for him to analyze my proposition. "We are in dire need of herbs. Our store was completely obliterated by the earthquake. As long as Moonblaze agrees, we'd like a share of your herbs in exchange for her services until your apprentice is fully trained."
Silverstar flicked her tail as her fur finally settled. "We want your herbs to be shared between both Clans just as our medecine cat will be. That is our condition. Tell Galestar, and be quick about it. We will want an answer from your apprentice at the Moonpool tonight."
Thunderflight ran over to Moonblaze, her fur puffed out with frustration. "Moonblaze, I think Silverstar will be needing you," she whispered quickly. "If you heard anything that oblivious deputy shouted, you'll know why!" She beckoned to her friend with her tail and led her to where Silverstar and Valiantstride were in discussion. Silverstar nodded at the two as they entered and mewed, "Ah, just in time. Moonblaze, we have come up with a deal. Since their medicine cat apprentice is without a mentor and they are seeking your assistance, I have asked for them to share their herb stocks with us for the entirety of Mosspaw's apprenticeship. Are you willing to take on a second apprentice from another Clan? Has StarClan shown you any signs about this?"
Silverstar's eyes narrowed as she waited for an answer as they shifted from Valiantstride to the two she-cats before her.

LOCATION: Stormclan temporary camp COMPANY: Silverstar, Moonblaze OOC: Ooooh burn Vali XD
Had Valiantstride been any other tom, he would have run off with his ears flattened, his back hunched and his tail between his legs. This tiger-striped tom, however, was not just any other tom. One ear twitched when Silverstar whipped around and bared her teeth at him, hissing that she ought to skin him where he stood. "My apologies for my mannerisms Silverstar, you can be assured that I meant you no disrespect. However, the matter at paw is too urgent to wait at the border for, seeing as border patrols would likely be the last thing on every clan's minds." Valiantstride may be Breezeclan's new deputy, but he was still a relatively young warrior and had a tendency to speak his mind openly without knowing, which ultimately could lead to his downfall. This conversation with Silverstar may be one of them.
He found himself being hustled along like a little kit, and briefly twitched his ear in annoyance, but did not speak his mind for fear of incurring the wrath of Silverstar. Instead, he remained silent and listened without a word as the silver leader spoke, explaining that Stormclan was in dire need of herbs, and that she would agree to offer one of the medicine cats in exchange for their herb storage. It wasn't an unreasonable demand, in fact Valiantstride was worried that she would request a demand that Breezeclan gave up a few of their warriors to loan to Stormcland, or something extravagant like that. "Of course, I'll let Galestar know. Again, my apologies for my outburst, but it was a matter of utmost urgency." Feeling the curious and hostile stares from many Stormclan cats, with one particularly unfriendly black one hissing at him (Ebonysun), his tiger-striped pelt began to prickle uncomfortably and he dropped his gaze to his paw, not wanting to stir up any trouble with the Stormclan cats who were already on edge.
Moments later, Moonblaze had appeared in front him and Silverstar. As a formal greeting to any female, particularly one as beautiful as Moonblaze, he dipped his head and twitched his whiskers slightly, uttering a quiet purr. "It's kind of you to grace us with your presence, Moonblaze." He purred as his eyes narrowed into pleasant slits, perhaps a bit too flirtatious for his own good, but Valiantstride was a handsome tom and he knew it well, and he never passed up a chance to get familiar with a female. Silverstar, however, was definitely out of his league and he won't even begin to think about trying.

A path to follow, a path to meet a path of sorrow, a path so sweet
DarkstormDarkstorm's burning blue eyes siezed Valiantstride's visage as he announced something about their medicine cat. The large warrior had been careful to pay attention to Clan business over the past few moons. When he first found the Clans, he was as ignorant as a newborn kit. However, now he was a warrior of StormClan, and he could not allow for such ignorance to continue. He paid attention to the names of those from other Clans that were important- the leaders, deputies, medicine cats, and even their apprentices. Although Ebonysun would continuously deny his worth as a warrior, Darkstorm was determined to become a valuable and loyal warrior in all of StormClan's eyes. He listened to what the brash deputy had to say and even Darkstorm's eyes widened. Wolfspirit was dead? BreezeClan was not as lucky as StormClan and did not have two medicine cats. Poor Mosspaw was all on her own now with no mentor to teach her the ways of StarClan. She could not be alone, Darkstorm mused to himself. StarClan would never allow that. They are already watching out for her, leading BreezeClan's deputy here... He nodded to himself, content with this knowledge. As far as he knew, putting faith in StarClan was what true warriors did, so that was what he must do.
He continued to survey the scene silently as Thunderflight quickly assured everyone not to worry. He didn't quite catch exactly what she said because as he sat there watching her, his heart filled with pride. Such a brave daughter I have, he thought to himself. She is a miracle all on her own.
Of course, any father's daughter is precious to him. He didn't need to join the Clans to understand that.
He watched as the leaders went to go discuss the issue at paw and then turned around, padding away. He wasn't too sure what to do now that the hunting patrol had returned. Hunt some more? Standing uncertainly, he glanced around the clearing. I wish I could do things without being ordered to, he thought to himself, but I just don't know what to do. I'm not destined for leadership like my Thunder is. Or like Silverstar is.
Without his silver-furred leader, he felt at a loss. Her presence gave him a sense of security, knowing that a capable she-cat was at his side. He grumbled something incoherent and sat on his haunches, twitching his whiskers. Storm hath made me, burdened with fear storm hath saved me, my one so dear

█ ██ █████ ███████████ ████████████████ █████████████████ On a whim of curiosity, Miraclesky caught a whiff of a strange scent as she exited the makeshift camp to gather some soaked moss for the nursery and elders. It seemed out of place in the dense, damp forest, and aroused the she-cat's curiosity. The orange warrior followed the scent out of camp, from whence she stood already halfway out. As she exited the camp, her paws slipped on the rain-soaked leaves and ferns, and went sliding across the forest floor a few tail lengths. When she finally arrived at a standstill, she picked herself up, snorted, blue eyes flashing, and shook herself from head to tail, spraying mud and water everywhere. Luckily, in the forest, no one was around. Once she was disposed of her fur-entrapment, Miraclesky parted her jaws to find the elusive scent again.
Once she had caught it, she bounded after it with vigor. It was slightly heathery, slightly wind-blown. Narrowing her eyes suspiciously, Miraclesky padded after the scent. keeping her ears and eyes watchful and alert. The further the orange warrior went, the more familiar the territory became. Realization dawned on her as she approached the make-shift camp (again) as she realized that she had gone in a circle. Shaking her head, she shot back into camp, just to slip on the same exact spot she had before, half sliding, half skidding into camp, spraying mud and water in a good two-tail-length wake. The speed of her approach and the momentum of her skid brought her barreling into a large tom sitting somewhereabouts the middle of camp. She slammed into him, knocking the breath from her, and also managed to re-cover herself and the unfortunate tom with water a mud. She rolled a couple times, dug her claws into the mud to stop herself, and then pulled herself to her filthy paws. Cocking her head and squeezing her eyes shut, she turned around slowly to face the tom that had become unfortunate victim to her clumsiness.
Of course, it would be her luck that she'd run into the grumpiest tom in StormClan. Miraclesky gave a halfhearted chuckle as she stared into the orange eyes of Ebonysun.
"Uhm, sorry about that, Ebonysun! The mud should come out eventually," Miraclesky chipperly apologized, her head high and her chest out, standing up as if proud for what she had done.
Although she continued to meet Ebonysun's gaze head on for whatever he might do to her, she swiveled her ears to catch the tail end of Silverstar's rebuke of Valiantstride. Wait, Valiantstride? Isn't he BreezeClan's deputy? Miraclesky wondered, wanting to look but refusing to remove her sky blue gaze from Ebonysun's flaming orange. So that was what the strange scent was. What did he want? Why was he here? And what nerve did he have barging into StormClan like he had all the rights of StarClan to be there?
(( Bah, excuse the horrificness of this post. I'm trying to get back into roleplaying and I am so out of habit! They should get better. )) █ ██ ██████ ███████████ ████████████████ ████████████████

LOCATION: Makeshift Stormclan camp, isolated spot COMPANY: Silverstar >> Darkstorm >> Miraclesky OOC: Not good for his ego at all XD
Ebonysun trotted back into camp not far behind Silverstar, a mouse and an old squirrel clutched in his jaws. The birds had all taken to the trees after the flood, hence not many pigeons and thrush could be found. Silverstar was lucky and had managed to catch a thrush and a starling, while Ebonysun held a small half-drowned mouse and an old squirrel who was weakened by the flood. The squirrel felt stringy even in his mouth, and he had no doubt that it would not make for a very tasty meal. Still, beggars can't be choosers, and even a stringy squirrel would make a fine mean with the state their clan was in.
Suddenly, a loud yowl from the edge of their camp caught his attention and he whirled around, his fur bristling in preparation of whatever danger was coming. To his shock, his eyes landed on an unfamiliar tiger-striped pelt streaking across Stormclan, his fur reeking of Breezeclan scent. Ebonysun was amongst one of the first cats to hiss and yowl aggressively at the deputy for setting his filthy paws into their territory, and he would have leapt forwards to claw at the deputy's ears if he had the chance, had Thunderflight not stepped forwards in time and calming everyone down. Ebonysun shot her a murderous glare and hissed at the Stormclan deputy, but did not try to barge past her. Instead, he turned around to drop his freshly caught prey on the kill pile and started making his way to an isolated spot to clean his muddy fur. He roughly shouldered past the newly renamed Darkstorm, purposely bumping into him. Why did Silverstar accept him into the clan? He was a rogue, he did not have clan blood in him! Accepting a rogue was against the warrior code, Silverstar should know that!
Still fuming over the ordeal with the rogue in the medicine cat den as well as how Valiantstride burst into Stormclan like he owned it, Ebonysun settled down in an isolated corner to try and groom the mud out of his black fur. And that was when all Dark Forest broke loose.
A huge weight suddenly barrelled into him, sending him flying a short distance away with a loud yowl of surprise, which turned into a yowl of protest when he found himself landing in a particularly deep puddle of mud, dirtying his coat right when he had just cleaned it. Ebonysun hissed and spat mud out of his mouth when he climbed back to his paws, covered literally head to toe in dripping mud. Blazing orange eyes looked up and fixed upon Miraclesky, and the black tom spat in fury. "Watch where you're going, you fox-dunging mousebrain!" He hissed as he shook out his soggy and muddy black fur, splattering every cat around him with mud, including Miraclesky - not that she would care since she was filthy anyway. His fur stuck out comically in all directions like a hedgehog after his shake, which did not do much good for his ego. He glared at the she-cat as if he was running through the many ways he could painfully execute her in his mind, while his fur felt uncomfortably wet, stiff and heavy with mud. Not to mention spiky.

█ ██ █████ ███████████ ████████████████ █████████████████ Miraclesky flattened her ears at the prickly toms' insult. Her eyes flashed indignantly, her lips pulling back in a very slight involuntary snarl. Miraclesky slowly lashed her tail back and forth, her blue eyes swirling orbs of irritation and slight anger. She drew herself up and stalked closer to the tom, once he had finished shaking. At his appearance, her eyes lightened slightly in amusement, a slight giggle escaping her jaws. Sobering immediately, however, the orange she-cat, so normally easygoing and laid back, with fur bristling, moved forward until she was literally nose to nose with the orange-eyed tom.
"Watch where I'm going?! Well, I'm sorry if the pawing around here isn't to your liking and causes cats to slip! Maybe if you didn't sit around and sulk in your own anger, you wouldn't be so quick to snap! Get your head out of the fox dung and smell the fresh air, because there are more important things than yourself, mister grumpyface!" Miraclesky half snarled, half taunted, half laughed. Her blue eyes bore into Ebonysun's, barely half a whisker-length away.
Miraclesky backed off only slightly, remaining well into the tom's personal space. She seemed perfectly content to remain incredibly close to the tom, knowing that he would be irritated at her invasion of his personal space. She flicked his ear with her tail, sending a speck of mud flying into the air. She then brought a paw to her jaws, licked it, and began cleaning the mud off of her face, calmly peering at Ebonysun every now in then with pure amusement in her eyes.
I wonder what got his belly fur in a knot. Other than the mud, obviously, but sheesh. StarClan dancing and yowling his praises couldn't even lighten his mood. At this, Miraclesky snorted, trying to repress a laugh as she imagined Ebonysun sitting in the center of a circle of StarClan cats, running and jumping and yowling around him while his orange eyes glowered icicles at them. Miraclesky's nose screwed up at this, trying to repress a laugh as her blue eyes glowed with laughter and amusement as she watched Ebonysun and cleaned her face.

LOCATION: Makeshift Stormclan camp, mud puddle COMPANY: Miraclesky OOC: I hope you don't mind the slight auto Leo :3
While any other warrior in any other clan would probably have laughed these insults off and merrily walked away with Miraclesky, Ebonysun was definitely not one of those toms. He was already in a foul mood due to the fact that he had just finished cleaning his fur, and the ginger she-cat had to choose this moment to throw him into a muddy puddle. With his muddy fur now spiking up in all directions like a hedgehog, Ebonysun hated to think what he currently looked like, and sincerely hoped that his "archnemesis" Thunderflight was too busy performing clan duties to witness this utter desecration of his ego and dignity.
It seemed, however, that the ginger she-cat was not done yet. She lunged forwards until she was standing nose to nose with him, loudly proclaiming that this wasn't her fault, and that he shouldn't be sitting around and sulking in his own anger. Excuse me? He was sitting in a corner, minding his own business and busy cleaning himself, when she decided to come and dunk him into a muddy puddle. He failed to see the logic in her reasoning. With his temper on the verge of boiling over, it took all of Ebonysun's control not to fly into a rage and chew off the she-cat's ears. He shook his fur out some more, and after resigning to the fact that his fur probably wasn't going to be clean ever again unless he dunked himself into a river, he turned to walk towards a tree to at least scrape the worst of the mud off. And that was when the she-cat flicked his ear with her tail. It was probably a teasing gesture, but with Ebonysun's currently foul temper due to everything that has happened today, he was not in a mood to be teased. Not to mention the fact that she was currently invading his personal bubble, and Ebonysun was not a tom who appreciated his personal bubble being invaded, especially not by a muddy she-cat who had just pushed him into a puddle of mud.
The black tom whirled around and hissed, lunging forwards and cannoning into the orange she-cat. His momentum sent them both flying for a short distance, much like how she had sent him flying. This time, however, it was Miraclesky who landed in the muddy puddle, with Ebonysun pinning her down with his front paws on her chest. Even more mud splashed into his pelt, but he hardly noticed and didn't even care. Miraclesky's body was practically submerged in the puddle of mud, making her seem like a mud monster with four ginger legs. "Still think this is funny, mousebrain?" He hissed into her face, not realising how his attempt at revenge had turned into something that looked like two kits playing in mud. Nor the fact that he was drawing a lot of attention to himself.

DarkstormLoud hissing caught Darkstorm's attnetion. He stood just in time to witness Ebonysun tackling Miraclesky to the ground, pinning her to the ground and snarling in her face. Wordlessly, Darkstorm streaked towards the black-furred tom and tackled him off of Miraclesky, pinning him to the ground in a fell swoop.
Without taking his eyes off of Ebonysun, Darkstorm asked gruffly, "Are you alright, Miraclesky? Did he injure you?"
((Sorry I'm going to assume this was a surprise to Ebonysun which is why Darkstorm managed to pin him down, not trying to god-mod ^^" )) Storm hath made me, burdened with fear storm hath saved me, my one so dear

█ ██ █████ ███████████ ████████████████ █████████████████ Catching waves of fury-scent rolling off the angry tom, Miraclesky muffled the urge to all-out guffaw. This was so much more fun than she'd imagined! Ebonysun was even more fun when he was furious, if that was possible! Miraclesky watched the bristling tom out of the corner of her eye, and all of a sudden, she found herself nearly entirely submerged, on her back, in the puddle of mud she'd accidentally sent Ebonysun flying into. Her blue eyes sparkled mischievously, shining with laughter. She peered at the paws on her chest with curiosity, then peered back up into Ebonysun's furious orange gaze, cocking her head slightly.
"I think it's hilarious, absolutely wonderful!" Miraclesky replied, her face alight with laughter and amusement. She laughed as she shot her paws above the surface of the puddle and swept them across the surface, sending a new wave of mud and water at Ebonysun.
Then, all of a sudden, the weight was lifted off her chest and she could pull herself out of the puddle. Her face falling in disappointment, she whipped her head around to locate her strange "rescuer", ruiner of fun! Her blue eyes narrowed at Darkstorm, seeing him pinning Ebonysun to the ground. She laughed lightly, padding forward to meet them. She dipped her head slightly in recognition of the tom, shaking her head.
"No, silly! We were just having a little fun," Miraclesky purred, blinking amusedly at Darkstorm. She manuevered herself between the two toms, pushing her nose down toward Ebonysun, peering at him curiously. She blinked her large eyes once, then cast a quick, mischievious glance toward Ebonysun again, then Darkstorm, then shook her pelt violently, covering each tom with a layer of mud.
Swishing her tail in amusement and pride, Miraclesky sat down where she stood, squeezed somewhat between the toms. Glancing at her chest, she realized that she'd never be able to get it off herself. It'd take a dip in the river to wash the mud from her pelt, but oh well! Although she cringed inwardly at getting her heavy pelt all waterlogged, she had thoroughly enjoyed her mudbath with Ebonysun, taking immense enjoyment in making the grumpy tom look like a kit playing in the mud, and getting them both filthy in the meantime. Good StarClan, that was fun! █ ██ ██████ ███████████ ████████████████ ████████████████
