I'm sure that by now Sabel has posted some sort of comment with the word "Polly" in it. I'd like her to know that 1) I can't see that comment and 2) I don't care if people have worse names, I don't like polly. OR pauly.

You were acting irrationally.
Granted, she was going far as well, but blocking her was not the correct way to react.
You need to talk it out and make sure she understands why you dislike what she is calling you.

I did my research, MD. It wouldn't have bothered him for much longer.
The initial reaction, unless with an extremely tolerant person, is annoyance. After a period of time, however, they just get over it.
I've done this IRL, as have my friends. I've been on the recieving end as well. (They were rather uncreative. The name was "Rick" rolleyes )

Trust me, I can always tell when Twi's brother comes to visit the thread.
(See, I have a valid reason for hating that guy. He's a total jerk to Twi. He even hacked him! If you want to hate someone, think about it more. A nickname isn't suitable. Besides, it's a reference to something. If you can get the ref right, I'll stop, unless by that point you don't care.)
