Jade lifted her head again and looked towards the door, taking a moment to rerecognize her Nii-chan. He still looked different, but her voice was the same as always, and his visable smile brought on to Jade's as well.
"I guess you could call it a new hobby....mostly just to preserve a memory before it fades further...."
She sat up straight, fixing her simple clothing of a red tank top and jeans. The rest of the couch now opened up, Jade waved Keno over to sit with her as she closed her book.
"And yes...I beleive you do Nii-chan...."

"Well where to begin then." He pondered this for a moment as he walked over to take his spot near his adopted sibling. He sat for a few minutes still rummaging through all the files saved on his memory before he dawned on him.
"Okay well before the tournament I noticed something was a bit off with myself. Some of my hair had begun turning white for no reason. It was as bright and as pure as Tygre's. It bothered me quite a bit to just have my body all of a sudden start changing without any foresight." He paused as he thought back on this a bit more. It changed slowly. It was only a single hair at first if he remembered. When he had left there were still no more than 20 or so on the top layer.
"Anyway I mostly ignored it at first. Even though I didn't like it, people change all the time. Why worry about it you know? Children don't freak out when they become adults do they?" He didn't which is why he asked, but he was probably a bit naive in that department since he personally had more important things to worry about at that age than adult development. He paused for a moment to ensure that Jade was able to keep up.

Jade nodded slowly as she listened, trying to remember if she had seen any such hairs on her Nii-chan's formally raven colored hair. But he had always worn a hat before he left, barring any memory of seeing his hair as such.
"Not usually, but then again, I don't think we would fall into a normal category...."
She laughed a little, before falling silent and waiting for Keno to continue.

"I suppose you're right," he said with a light chuckle. Normal went out the window a long time ago. Too bad though. He still looked and sounded so young. He sometimes wondered hos old he really was. Maybe he couldn't actually age mentally or physically. Why should his body be eighteen forever and not his mind? In a thousand years would he still have the narrow understanding of a young adult? How much had he really grown without growing?
He had to push such thoughts aside so that he could continue. "Where was I? Mmm...ah ok. Well after a while it dawned on us that I was starting to absorb Tygre's power. It seemed as if he were surrendering it to me, if you can grasp the concept of a body taking its own power away from itself. Still though, I had already signed up to be in the Tournament and wanted to see it all the way through, relatively sure that all would be well until it ended.
"So naturally I just didn't worry about it too much. I did pretty much the same types of things, spent time with the same people and what not. But I suppose I didn't have much time as I thought I did. The... I guess you could call it an issue. It needed to be addressed sooner rather than later." He trailed off on that note, taking care to keep his thoughts organized. He wasn't a great storyteller he knew. To keep things clear he needed to make sure they were as sorted as possible.

The Fierce Deity Vice Captain
|
Posted: Sat Dec 16, 2006 7:53 pm
::Outside, in the midst of the pitch blackness of the evening, the repetitive crunch of running feet through snow can be heard. Almost a mile away from his home now, a somewhat rejuvenated Deity is jogging down the snakelike clearing that leads to his home from outside this gargantuan Canadian forest. He runs across the cobblestone path he set himself in order to guide nearby travellers to the towering structure over the horizon. At least, he thinks he is. The snow is so deep, the ground spotted with mounds of collected ice, that the only way he knows he's moving in the right direction is the fact that lights attached alongside and at the roof of the Tower guide him back. Even that wouldn't help if it weren't such a clear night.
His heavy boots crunch through the ice with each step, his black jeans soaked up to his knees. He wears a fitted red tanktop and thick, black leather gloves, his glasses and headband hiding his eyes as usual. Despite his condition, the below-zero weather outside still doesn't seem to bother him. Around his neck dangles his jade pendant and his locket, bouncing about as he runs at....a rather normal speed. It would seem he hasn't fully recuperated from whatever ails his strength. Nonetheless, he reaches the base of the Tower in about a minute and a half, coming to a gradual stop with shorter strides and heavier steps upon reaching the clearing in which the Orion rests. His chest heaving with each breath, the boy's exhalations are visible in the still, frigid air as he walks to the double-doors with heavy steps.
In one of his more blatantly normal entrances of all time, the Orinian simply opens the front door and enters the building, cold and sweating with tiny chips of ice stuck to his black hair. He promptly begins to rub the soles of his wet boots against the welcome mat, realizing that wet jeans won't make that any help. Sighing, he drops to his left knee and unbuckles his right boot, switching his position to undo the other, as well. Standing up, he lifts his feet out and sets the boots aside by the door, willing to just clean up any mess made by his dragging wet jeans. Left with his black socks on, he can sense two auras in the lounge - one being most pleasantly familiar - and quickly makes his way in that direction.
It's only a few moments later that he can see his lover, Jade, talking to someone alone on one of the sofas. He instantly recognizes this person as Keno, despite the fact that he looks little like him. Keeping his questions to himself for right now, he stops in the middle of the archway, just looking at the two with his lips apart from eachother as he continues to catch his breath. After a few seconds, he lifts his left hand and twiddles his fingers with a light-hearted smile.::
.....h-hey.

A slight smirk passed over Jade's face at the mention of a body taking away it's own power. That was a concept she understood all to well. After all, her natural power had become split before she even arrived on Earth, forming itself into her darker persona.
She waited for Keno to keep going, when she sense a presence that was always welcome to her enter the club. This was confirmed by the large smile that crossed her face as Deity appeared in the entrance. She waved Deity over to her as well.
"Love...you look cold. Come join us!"

"My, my, my, Deity. You seem to get more and more timid as time passes by. There's no reason to be so nervous when speaking around us." He seemed a bit glad to see the young boy again who was back to normal it seemed. He had known this for some time, but had not yet cast eyes upon him until just now. He was still recovering it seemed, his power a bit low it seemed, though he could just be masking it. To either end he was at least able to do the basics even if not at his peak performance. He'd live if nothing else.
He motioned for the Tonepian to take a seat on the other side of Jade, which he merely assumed would be the most comforting for him. "I was just explaining my absence, but if need be I can pick up the story some other time. I think we all have a lot of catching up to do ne?" He was offering Deity to speak his mind if indeed there was anything he needed to bring up. It was also an excuse to remove himself from the two as the situation might call for.
