"Oh my- what the- HOLY s**t!" Taylor leapt back as dark grey blood splattered across the floor. She felt her knees begin to buckle and had to struggle to stay upright. "You- you goddamn b*****d!"

Torn between anger and fear, between attacking and running like hell, she simply held the wand in front of her as some kind of pitiful defense. She barely even noticed the peacock-tailed woman stepping through the door-

But even the faintest color stood out in this world like neon yellow in the normal world, and she coudn't help but catch a glimpse of thisis strange being.

"DON'T TOUCH HER!" she yelped at the new woman, not realizing that touching, apparently, was not needed to deal the final blow.

"Someone who heals try to see if you can save her, hurry!" Ari shouted, aware people were now mad, and aware that that was in fact the worst thing they could possibly be right now, as it was their own fault they pissed of the decent shadow.

Art got out of the play pin and snuck over to Xerk and put her hand on his head, "ok ok," she repeated over and over hoping to calm the poor boy before he hurt himself, and somehow even a two year old knew that was bad.

"Holy ********!" Shira screamed as Neveah was slashed through like it was nothing. When Neveah hit the ground and the woman with the angel like presence appeared, she merely stared in awe and with distraught, watching what seemed to be the last of Neveah's soul being dragged away by the strange woman.

"What....what did you do to her?" Shira questioned the woman quietly, as if speaking to only herself. She looked towards Ari and the children and slowly creep towards that direction, not wanting another one to get hurt just in case something got out of hand again.

Edit: She shot Ari a look out of the corner of her eye. "She's gone, there's nothing we can do for her now." Her voice faltered as she said the last bit. "No one go near her body." She stated loudly and looked back towards the entities, wary of next actions.

Jorianth

PostPosted: Sat Dec 09, 2006 5:41 pm

Stepping smoothly backward, Jorianth simply smirked at the attack of the sword. Holding out one claw, he let the blade scrape across the tougher skin there; it left a nasty gash, but the pain did not seem to trouble the shadowmancer overmuch. After all, with one of the living slain, all that he had to do was take some of the dead woman's energy, and he could heal the wound, quick as--

"-- Ah?" Turning a casual eye to the exit behind him, Jorianth was distinctly displeased to note the new presence. Shaking some blood off of his claw, he regarded the colorful lady unhappily. It just went to figure, that she would choose this moment to interfere. "Sicily. To what do I owe the displeasure of your company?"

His composure began to slip, however, when he reached to take the energy from the dead Neveah- and found nothing for him to heal himself with, leaving a very nasty gash on one claw and a very furious look beginning to form on the shadowmancer's face. "... That was mine, Sicily dear. You had no right to take it." Not even dignifying Neveah's spirit with a her. Stretching out his claws, Jorianth hesitated and waited for the next person to make their move, not entirely decided whether to go after Nic for the insult of the injury, or Sicily for the stolen spirit.

In a moment, it was all too late and Coailiann couldn't help but stare in shock. Neveah, the pretty butterfly lady...dead? Did she cause that one too? Her eyes began to water and she...didn't know what to do.

Or, was she just hurt? She couldn't tell. The girl started to crawl towards her carefully, oblivious to the new spirit entering the room. This was not good. Not good at all.

But when Ari started yelling...Coailiann's head lifted and she GLARED. "YOU THINK HE WAS TRYING TO HELP US?" she pointed at Jorianth, "You're ******** STUPID if you thought he was trying to help us!"

And there she was, cursing again, when she hated the english language with a passion. She must have been REALLY riled up. "GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR a**! WANNA HELP? PICK UP A FREAKING GUN!"

Nicolai hadn't cared at all for what just appeared. These things were getting out of hand. He wasn't going to let Jorianth's focus move to anyone else. The sword flipped back against his arm, his trademark carrying style, and gave another slash, this time low and sweeping back.

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

He'd realized he'd abandoned his child... but would he rather see this b*****d kill someone else?

Sicily stood there, trying hard to block out the torrent of emotions from the people around her. Being an empath, even a dead one, was hard. "The displeasure is all mine," she murmured softly, hoping fervently that Osrit would get off his a** and come to her aid.

She knew Cri was on his way. That little thing could ALWAYS be counted on, especially when she sent out an SoS.

"No, that was hers," She returned, crossing her slender arms over her chest and trying desperately to ignore the commotion. It was getting harder with the sidhe's rage and the sorrow from the others. She wanted to cry, "And I saved it for her. I had all the right in the world."

Someone, ANYONE who can hear this, get everyone out of the room NOW. Take her body - he can animate it. TAKE her, and get OUT of this room. Grab weapons, grab something, and come back when you can. This is NOT the end of this. I can't do it alone.

Not that anyone would trust her after the s**t Jorianth pulled. They had no right to trust her, even if light was seeping from her and generally unmistakeable.

EDIT: And when Nicolai's sword came slashing down at the darker one, Sicily stepped back calmly. Jorianth could deal with the blade going at him. "We'll need you," she said to the man in a whisper.

"I am doing something Kay, I'm protecting the little ones, the children. You are standing there." Ari grabbed the play pin and started to push it out of the room, when she realized Art wasn't there anymore. She looked around and couldn't find her daughter, so she screamed, "ARTEMIS!"

Sicily was right one one count. Taylor didn't trust her in the least. To her mind, there were two people, one light, one dark, equally strange, conversing in strange words over a fallen person-

Over a dead person, she corrected herself. Someone had said it already, so she could let herself believe it. The butterfly woman wouldn't be getting up.

But in the flurry of events, she noticed one thing. The shadowy creature was... bleeding or oozing or something- the point was that the sword was wounding it.

"We can hurt it," she murmured quietly. It was somewhat of a relief, after the creature's arrogance. "It's not invincible!" That gave her a little more courage. They had a chance, however small.

Nicolai recoiled from his slash, keeping the blade against his arm and rearing for another go. Keeping Jorianth's attention was really his only reason for attack. As long as that was accomplished, he was making decent enough use of himself. The girl's whisper found him at the bottom of his movement.

"For what?" he replied, teeth gritting tightly.

God, someone had better have Wiko. Please. Take care of him for now. I don't need him getting in the middle of this.

Someone, all but forgotten, pushed its way past Shira-- Danny?

As Nic took a swordswipe at the spirit, he found something in his path. The young woman, only recently died, was simply standing there in his way; palms up and hands lifted before her, her eyes pleaded with him quietly, lips moving to speak words that wouldn't let themselves be heard.

It was almost enough to make Jorianth all but invisible as he made a soft gesture with one hand, sending a flurry of five shadows sweeping around like darts, coming up on Nic from his left side.

Shira's head whipped around Ari screamed. Running towards the Ari and the children she asked, "What? What happened?!" She looked over all the little ones who had been in that area. They all seemed a little shaken from what was going on. Then her eyebrows furrowed. Wait...where's that one kid?

She looked up. "Are there some missing?" Shira screeched.

Edit: She then was frozen to a standstill as she noticed a body move past her. Her eyes widened in horror. "D...." She turned and grabbed the body of the one she had presumed dead. "Danny?!"

Ari winced, she hated situations like this, the tears filled her eyes. "Just Artemis and Xerk," she explained. If she went for Art she'd abandon the other children in order to do so. "I'll take them to the training room," She pushed the play pin down the hall, all the way. She emptied her head. If Art was anywhere she was with friends, Xerk more than likely, and hopefully that was enough.

The other children, Wiko, Oak, the rest, needed to be safe. She reached the training room, pushed them inside, following and shutting the door behind her. She would watch the children. She curled up and hugged her knees. She prayed someone would watch Artemis. A bow fell on her back from behind, a quiver next to it. She lifted up both and armed herself, noching an arrow for fire, just in case.

Xerksis peered at the spirit, unsure of what he felt when it placed itself before him and said it would protect him. 'Kay,' He shifted in Yashi's hold, reaching for the spirit, trying to touch it. 'Go if you can.' It was an order, or sort of one. He looked down to Artemis, cooing softly at the girl while trying to wriggle in Yashi's hold. Hey, he wanted down now...

That was enough. The murder, the woman, the fighting. Jorianth was going down, or at least getting severely damaged enough to run away. Sicily she may not have trusted, but they would deal with it later. Lifting the gun she'd kept in her hand all this time, she fired at the shadowmancer, sweeping her other hand up and sending a pulse of psionic energy at him. Maybe it'd knock him down and they all could attack him them.
