Magical Rainbow
By Amber

In a land, not too far, a young girl notices a pond with a magical rainbow. It holds at least a hundred different colors and it sparkles with a wonderful glow.
The girl touches the rainbow and she feels magical warmth in it. She closes her eyes and she feels as if she is being painted with all the colors that it contains.
When she opens her eyes she has a whole new look on life and how it should be. Then she walks home to tell her mother about her experience with the magical rainbow

It's so nice to see some happy prose for a change. Through your writing I can tell that you're a beautiful person. wink

A Mother's Love
By Amber

A little girl comes home from school. She awaits the arrival of her mother?s love. She is home wondering what will happen when the family is together and what they will all do.
As the clock strikes six her father comes home tired and restless. He looks at her and smiles for a minute, then he turns the TV on and he watches the news.
Finally her mother comes home. She is tired, but happy. She looks at her daughter and she tells her how much she loves her. She gives her a hug and she tucks her into bed to dream her sweet dreams.

Mermaid Paradise
By Amber

In a distant ocean lives a colony of mermaids. They ponder what it would be like on dry land.
They picture humans walking on the sand with funny outfits. They picture little boys with funny things on their heads and funny things on their feet. They wonder what the little girls would look like without fins.
Then they think how thankful they are for having fins and living in the ocean. From then on they only ponder about things like how birds fly and how horses gallop on the sand.

Mermaids rawk. as do unicorns! whee You're into the whole whimsical, " If the world were perfect thing" huh? All of your poems are so positive and without conflict that they're almost unrealistic, but they are a breath of fresh air from angst. ( I hope that didn't come out the wrong way. sweatdrop )

Sunset of Light
By Amber

As I watch the sunset I notice the array of many colors. They zoom through the sky like a shooting star with a sparkling tail of light. I watch the sky some more and I notice how the stars look like celestial beams of love and fear. It is as if they are telling us not to fear love, but to embrace it with all our souls and hearts.
I go back inside and my head is filled with hope and happiness.

Whip It Out!

and here i come in....with a cold breeze of.......angst.... sweatdrop

Holding my head
Seeing the shadows
fleeting
Silent Screams
Dance upon my sanity
Searching
A new breathe
that will never come
Smothering
Feel the heaviness
Hear the deafening roar
Silence
Contradiction of life
You are not here
Alone
Do not hear
Do not see
Do not feel
Do not live
Do not exist
Do not help
Do not breathe
Do not think
Do not love
Do not dance
Do not move
Do not be who you are meant to be

Well... This is one of the few poems I've written that isn't about love.

'Tis acrually modled after a song. Maybe I'll post some of my others later...

The Music Will Never Die

The tune original
The song nameless
The melody amazing
And the music painless

So beautiful it was
The music never ended
You could dance throughout the night
And your worries be mended

A deafening void
A trifling silence
A misinterpreted ending
And an abrupt start of violence

The dancing had stopped
The music was gone
And there was no more happiness
To the usual dawn

The fun was over
And everyone went home
The tale was ending
And was chilling to the bone

The cold was piercing
And the snow started to fall
Yet the beautiful music
Could not be heard at all

As the winter pressed on
The songs were all but lost
Leaving no I’s dotted
And no t’s crossed

It was a weird feeling
Not to know how it felt
To have everything gone
And have nothing melt

The cold was alarming
And without a song
The quiet was deafening
And was eerily long

People began to believe
That the song would never be
They lost their faith
They were no longer free

But then you came out of nowhere
A tune in your head
You started to play
And their hunger was fed

They were free once again
And the music did play
The tunes were happy
And they danced all day

For a moment things were different
No one knew why
But they all did know
This time, the music would never die
