Alan laughed, it was both because he hadn't really thought too much on what the immortal greek gods would think of modern fashion and also that it was funny how that girl with a really big vocabulary took walking dictionary as a compliment.

Ares walked the streets of the city still fuming. He hadn't cared to check out of the hospital, nor did he even stop when the local shuttle cart driver asked him if he needed a ride to his vehicle.
He was mortal. He had learned that much easily enough. As for why, he figured it had to do something with the Norse Gods. Never in his life had he been unable to hold his drink, no matter the strength. He and Dionysus would often challenge one another to see who could last. Sometime he won, sometimes he'd lose, but that was only after tons of drinking over and over again. As far as he knew, all he drank was a rather large swig from the goblet passed around by...
Loki...
It had to have been him. His flowery speech about the alliance between them and the Olympians seemed to put a look of surprise on even some of the faces of the Norse deities. There was no way it could have been any other.
Which would mean of course. The other Olympians were no doubt finding themselves in a similar state. But where were they? There was no possible way he could retake Olympus alone, not in this state and as much as he hated to admit it, they only stood a ghost of a chance if they were to band together and reclaim their godhood.
He put his hands in his jeans pockets and made his way down the street trying to think of something, anything, when he witnessed a motorcycle drive past him and turn into the local biker bar.
As suspected, the man turned off his bike and left to go inside. It was a decent enough mode of transportation, he thought as he made his way to the bar. Lifting off the cover, he crossed two wires and hot-wired the engine. He then replaced the cover and hopped on reving the engine once before speeding off down the road. The biker remained inside drinking with his buddies, totally unaware his bike had just been lifted.
"Where to go, where to go," he thought as he sped fast. "I was found in a hospital. Probably because the drink was too strong for a mortal body. Odds are that we are in the same city then," he said making a turn.
"The library," he said to himself. No doubt Athena was in the library searching for a book of some sort to try and figure out how and why they were changed, as well as how to change back.
Kicking on the brakes for a moment, he spun the bike around performing a complete 180 before kicking the engine into overdrive and speeding back the way he came towards the library. As much as he disliked having to team up with the Goddess of Wisdom and War, he knew there was no other choice.
"She just better be there," he said to himself as he drove.

Sophie went back to the Library, sat down in a chair and began t o reread the Illiad. It was a great book to read just for fun, she couldn't comprehend why her parents bemoan being forced to read it in High School. Now Beowulf she could understand that happening with. The Norse were so uncivilized. She rolled her eyes and continued with Homer.

Aly grinned when she succeeded in making Alan laugh. For some reason she couldn't explain making him laugh made her very happy. She supposed it had to do with the twin theory they had come up with. Somehow though she felt it went deeper than that. As though she had to make him laugh or she couldn't enjoy herself. Aly had no clue how to describe the feeling even in her head.

Loki had given up on trying to stop the mortal gods reclaiming their godhood, and flew to Mount Olympus as a Great Black Dragon, where he summoned his familiar, a Warg (Giant Wolf in the Norse myths) to meet him there when he arrived.
Poseidon however, had left the valkyries to settle their spat in their Norse ways, and gone to look for his ward, Solarinn, who hadn't returned, despite many promises of Salmon, Squid and Sea-Bass. He's so Cattish! Never comes when I call. I suspect there's a female involved. Then, he saw the strange dog-creature.

Alan noticed Aly seemed happy to see him laugh. "So Aly, I dunno if I just get this vibe or something but do you have a lot of siblings? You seem like a natural big sister."

Aly shook her head with a grin. " No. I'm an only child which has it's perks but I wouldn't mind some annoying younger siblings. Then my parents would be too busy with them and I wouldn't have to listen to the lecture I'll get when I come home with Silver Streaks in my hair. Especially when they find out the streaks are permanent." She added with a wicked grin at Alan.

Alan laughed, he had fun bugging his parents as well, mainly his stepdad who was constantly on his case because he thought Anan was wasting his time with being in a band but seriously what'd the old guy even know about music?

"I'm an only child too, but it's kind of weird I've always felt like I should have a sibling around even though I don't," Alan said. It was true when he was a kid he used to ask his parents if they knew about his sister but they just assumed he had an imaginary friend or something.

Aly nodded. " When I was younger I used to pester my parents. I wanted a sibling. They always thought I was silly. They got me this doll when I was younger it was supposed to be really rare. It was mainly gold and the first thing out of my mouth according to them was ' Apollo would be horrified if he saw this.' They thought I had an imaginary friend and had named him Apollo. I got a bit indignant about that. I still have the doll. Everytime I look at I start snickering."

Poseidon assumed that the Dog was belonged to Artemis, and decided to go look for the other gods, upon leaving Mount Olympus. Summoning a fast Horse, he rode to the places where he knew the gods would be. Apollo would most likely be at Delphi, Hermes was probably ferrying messages between other gods and Goodness knew where the others were. It was raining in Delphi, and Apollo was not there. Grumbling, he teleported to Atlantis, to consult with his Consort, Amphitrite on the matter.

Ares thundered past the archery range on his bike and swiftly made his way to the library. As he pulled into the parking lot, he did get quite a few strange looks. It wasn't often that a biker ever came to the library. In fact, the roar of his bike probably scared half of the people inside the quiet library itself.
He turned off the rumbling engine as he parked it and hopped off, hiding the exposed wires he used to hotwire it, underneath the engine cover. Without a second thought, he strode confidently inside instantly being flashed nasty looks by the librarians for daring to make such an entrance with such a noisy bike.
He shrugged off the looks with a shake of his head and went through searching the rows upon rows of bookshelves searching for his female counterpart, the Goddess of War herself, Athena.
"Tell me you're here Athena," he said out loud to which he was answered with several shushes and fingers to the lips to try and silence him.
"Oh shut up," he said shaking his head to the people as he continued to move on browsing through the several bookshelves.

Loki made no time in finding that Mount Olympus was mostly Godless. Except for some Minor Goddess that he didn't know and frankly didn't care about, he could overrun the mountain with a hand tied behind his back. Walking up to the Throne-Room, he promptly sat down on Zeus's throne and there was a sudden darkening on the mortal realm as Great Storm Clouds appeared. ((He hasn't stolen Zeus' powers. This is just the reaction of the Throne when Loki sits on it.))

Sophie looked up from her book, and caught sight of a biker. What an odd person to find in a library. "Well, he'd better be disrupting my reading for a good reason," she grumbled.
