Hey everyone, the second music playthrough that you voted for is now up and running, so you guys can check it out here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=9yhIrXTn4SsThis is also an episode of Fun with Cheats, mainly because I was too lazy to take the cheats off because I intended on doing the whole game as for the Fun with Cheats series.

I know it's been a couple of days, so here are a couple of updates: T, you can take the poll down, both the Yoshi's Island Music playthrough and SMB3 playthrough are already up, and I'll be working on Super Mario World sometime this week. Speaking of SMW, a new episode of Fun with Cheats is up, so you can watch that here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=kzuVCY4NYK8I did this episode for someone as a guide how to find the path out of the Illusion Forest. Finally, I've decided to do another review for you all today. This time it is SVC: Chaos for the Neo-Geo arcade system. After the successful release of Capcom vs. SNK 1 and 2, SNK didn't receive much money for it, so they decided to create their own crossover game titled SVC: Chaos. The game was released on July 24, 2003 for the Neo-Geo arcade system, and it received both an X-box and PS2 (Europe Only) port. You get to play as a selected cast of both SNK and Capcom characters. SNK on the left side of the screen, Capcom on the right. It plays very similar to a King of Fighters type game, consisting of a 4 button attack system, which may throw Capcom players off guard who are used to the 6 button system, but it's pretty easy to figure out. This game didn't receive that great of a reception, but in my opinion it is VERY underrated. Here is a list of all the characters: SNK characters There are 18 SNK characters in total. From The King of Fighters * Kyo Kusanagi (The King of Fighters '94) * Choi Bounge (The King of Fighters '94) * Iori Yagami (The King of Fighters '95) From Fatal Fury: * Terry Bogard (Fatal Fury) * Mai Shiranui (Fatal Fury 2) * Kim Kaphwan (Fatal Fury 2) From Art of Fighting: * Ryo Sakazaki (Art of Fighting) * Mr. Karate (Art of Fighting) * Kasumi Todoh (Art of Fighting 3) From Samurai Shodown: * Earthquake (Samurai Shodown) * Genjuro Kibagami (Samurai Shodown II) * Shiki (Samurai Shodown 64) SNK Mid-boss characters * Goenitz (The King of Fighters '96) * Geese Howard (Fatal Fury) From Metal Slug * Mars People (Metal Slug 2) SNK Boss Characters * Orochi Iori (The King of Fighters '97) * Honki Ni natta Mr. Karate (a.k.a. Serious Mr. Karate) SNK Secret Boss character From Athena * Athena Capcom characters There are 18 Capcom characters in total. From Street Fighter * Ryu * Ken * Sagat From Street Fighter II * Dhalsim * M. Bison * Chun-Li * Guile * Vega * Balrog * Akuma (Super Street Fighter II Turbo) From Street Fighter III * Hugo (Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact) From Red Earth * Tessa Capcom Mid-boss characters From Street Fighter Alpha * Dan From Mega Man Zero * Zero From Darkstalkers * Demitri Capcom Boss characters * Violent Ken (Original) * Shin Akuma (Street Fighter Alpha 2) Capcom Secret Boss character From Ghosts 'n Goblins * Red Arremer Before each battle, fighters exchange brief conversations with one another. SVC Chaos has been noted for its particularly odd translations of these opening banters, which often can be taken as unintentionally (or perhaps intentionally) humorous. Aside from the pretty laughable translation and a roster that's not as big as it's Capcom made counter parts, this is a very good game. It has smooth gameplay that you would expect SNK to produce. I give this game a 10/10.

Alright, time for another review, today I will be reviewing Garou: Mark of the Wolves (also known as Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves) for the Neo-Geo arcade system. This game takes place 10 years after the events of Real Bout: Fatal Fury. Geese Howard is long since dead and Southtown is starting to forget his existence. Terry Bogard has taken it upon himself to raise Geese Howard's abandoned son Rock Howard, who hates himself for who his father is. Due to Rock Howard's training under Terry Bogard, his fighting style is a combination of both Terry and Geese. He is also the main protagonist in this game. The main antagonist for this game is a man named Kain who turns out to be Rock's uncle, Geese Howard's brother in law. When you beat the game with Rock, Kain reveals that he knows the whereabouts of his mother, who Rock believed to be dead. Rock then joins Kain, and to this day, no one ever knows what happens after that, as there was no sequel ever made and no type of closure to this cliffhanger. Although the game is a sequel to the Fatal Fury franchise, it's fighting style is more similar to the King of Fighters series than the Fatal Fury series, as the background/foreground fighting has been removed. The animation is very very smooth and looks very nice. It has a pretty decent roster, but unfortunately the only returning Fatal Fury character is Terry Bogard who now has a change in appearance no longer sporting his iconic hat, ponytail red vest, and white and red Chuck Taylor all-star shoes to now having shoulder length hair and wearing a brown bomber jacket with a white star that says "Running Wild" below it, white shirt, blue jeans, brown boots and hatless. Fatal Fury Garou: Mark of the WolvesCharactersInitial roster * Terry Bogard – Terry is the main character from earlier installments in the Fatal Fury series. In Garou, he has a new look: his long blond ponytail is trimmed, and he has exchanged his trademark red vest, hat, and shoes for a bomber jacket and brown shoes. Terry has a new Desperation Move (the “Buster Wolf”); however, he can no longer perform his original trademark move (the “Rising Tackle”), which is now Rock Howard's technique. * Rock Howard – Rock is the son of Geese Howard and protégé of Terry Bogard (as Terry seemingly killed Geese in Real Bout Fatal Fury and adopted the thus orphaned Rock). He is the main hero of Garou. His fighting style combines techniques of both Terry and Geese, giving him an edge on both offense and defense. He wears a red and white jacket with a white star on the back, similar to Terry's classic vest. His motif, as used in the game's logo and in some of his attack and victory animations, is angelic wings. * Kevin Rian – Kevin is a high-spirited police officer of Second South. He is also a friend to both Terry and Rock. He fights using Sambo (similar to his distant relative Blue Mary),[1] although much of his fighting style revolves more around direct strikes than grappling. He is cheered on during fights by his friend's son Marky. In Garou, he seeks revenge for the death of his partner, murdered by Freeman. * Bonne Jenet – Bonne Jenet is a female pirate who is looking for treasure in Second South. Her fighting style involve wind-like projectiles that hit multiple times, and swooping attacks intended to catch opponents with suddenly-changing directions. She is one of two female fighters in Garou, and is noted for her beauty both inside and outside the game; she often exploits it for her own personal gain. * Kim Dong Hwan – Dong Hwan was taught Taekwondo by his father, Kim Kaphwan, and has a friendly rivalry with his brother Kim Jae Hoon. He is more of a show-off and slacker than his brother, relying more on aerial attacks and juggles (i.e. attacks that strike the opponent into the air uncontrollably). He believes he is a "genius" in the story, and doesn't need to study diligently in order to master Taekwondo, but his father and brother see it differently. * Kim Jae Hoon – Jae Hoon was taught Taekwondo by his father, Kim Kaphwan, and is a brother of Dong Hwan's. Jae Hoon admires his father, so he fights more like him than Dong Hwan does, with a combination of high and low attacks with plenty of power behind them. Like his father, he has a strong sense of justice and chivalry, but unlike his brother, he establishes his strength through constant practice. * Gato Futaba – Gato is a powerful fighter always in search of stronger opponents. He is the older brother of Hotaru Futaba, but hotly denies this. His actual background and motivations aside from these are unknown. He is often portrayed acting callous to opponents, and is notable for a large claw scar on his back visible in one of his win poses. * Hotaru Futaba – Hotaru is the younger sister of Gato. She searches for her brother. She is generally very polite and charming, and is accompanied by her pet sable, Itokatsu. Her stage takes is a belfry, where a flock of birds removes her cloak. * Hokutomaru – Hokutomaru is a ninja who trained under Andy Bogard. He is extremely fast and crafty (with many moves that are among the fastest in the game), making him a nearly unpredictable opponent to deal with. His stage is a traffic accident that he caused, as he was unfamiliar with urban ways due to his age and training. * Khushnood Butt – Butt is a Kyokugen-style karate expert, who trained under Ryo Sakazaki. He is named Marco Rodriguez in Japan but was renamed in America (possibly to avoid confusion with mixed martial artist Ricco Rodriguez). He leads a somewhat austere life in a wooded area on the outskirts of town, and fights using powerful, deliberate attacks. Just like Ryo, he has several famous moves from Art of Fighting with some of his own derivatives. Many of his victory quotes sound insightful and philosophical, just as serious as his training and demeanor. * Tizoc – Tizoc is a famous pro wrestler in Second South and is seen as a hero in the eyes of children. Somewhat disillusioned, he enters the tournament in order to rekindle his own interest in fighting. His name in Japanese versions of the game is "The Griffon Mask". * Freeman – Freeman, real name unknown, is a mysterious serial killer that fights using slashing movements with his hands as if they were claws. Little is known about him, except that he killed a friend of Kevin Rian, and defeated Kim Kaphwan in a fight.Bosses * Grant - Grant, real name Abel Cameron, is a master of the dark style known as Ankoku Karate. Being Kain R. Heinlein's closest friend and personal bodyguard, he is the sub-boss of the game. * Kain R. Heinlein - Kain is the mysterious host of Southtown's "King of Fighters: Maximum Mayhem" tournament. Being the younger brother of Marie Howard (Geese Howard's deceased wife and thus Rock Howard's mother), he is Rock's uncle. He is the final boss of the game, but the player needs to have at least an AAA-ranking win average throughout the game in order to reach him (and to see each character's full ending).Overall, I give this game a 10/10. in my opinion it's one of the best fighting games ever made. It has very solid gameplay, smooth animation, a decent soundtrack, nice level design, and a pretty decent character roster (despite a lack of more Fatal Fury characters, but I won't rate the game down just because of that.) Anyway, here is video footage of the game: http://youtube.com/watch?v=WBSMFoylU1cAll character combo exhibition.

Hey everyone, time for another review, this time I will be reviewing Golden Axe for the Sega Genesis/Megadrive: Golden Axe is a hack and slash game made by Sega. It is the definitive hack and slash game and truly is a classic in a long list of great games. In my opinion, it is one of the greatest games ever made. I'd put it in my top 15 greatest games of all time. Plot: The game takes place in the fictional land of Yuria, a Conan the Barbarian style fantasy world. An evil entity known as Death Adder has captured the King and his daughter, and holds them captive in their castle. He also finds the Golden Axe, the magical emblem of Yuria, and threatens to destroy both the axe and the royal family unless the people of Yuria accept him as their ruler. The player controls one of three warriors. The first is a battle axe-wielding dwarf, Gilius Thunderhead (The character I always used), from the mines of Wolud, whose twin brother was killed by the soldiers of Death Adder. Another is a male barbarian, Ax Battler, wielding a two handed broadsword looking for revenge for the murder of his mother. The last is a long-sword wielding Tyris Flare, an amazon, whose parents were killed by Death Adder. There are 2 different modes for gameplay: Story modeProgress is made through the game by fighting through Death Adder's henchmen, including men armed with clubs and maces, skeleton warriors, and knights. Aiding the characters in their quest is their ability to cast spells that hurt all enemies on the screen. The force of this magic depends on the number of "bars" of magic power currently available. The bars are filled by collecting blue 'magic potions' found throughout the game. The male warrior Ax, limited to 4 bars, is able to cast Earth spells. The dwarf Gilius, limited to 3 bars, casts lightning spells and the female warrior Tyris can cast devastating fire magic, but her most powerful spell costs 6 bars. Various steeds are found in the game, which are known as bizarrians. These can be ridden when the enemy rider is knocked off, or if one is found dormant. The least powerful steed is known as a 'Chicken-Leg', which can be used to knock down enemies with a swipe of its tail. The more powerful dragon, which can either shoot fireballs or breath fire, is found later in the game. After completing a level, the player gets the chance to refill and life through a small scene where little thieves steel magic bottles/food, you go around and attack these thieves (who occasionally appear during actual levels also and still provide extra magic bottles) The Duel modeThe Duel is a gameplay mode which was a feature of most ports, but not of the original arcade game. It can be played either single or two-player. In the single-player mode, the player battles enemies in stages. A handful of enemies attack, and when they are defeated the player moves on to the next group of enemies. Sometimes even bosses appeared to challenge the player. The player had to make do with the health they started with for the duration of the game, and magic could not be used at all. At some stages enemies rode on bizarrians, which could be stolen and used to fight with. If played in two-player mode, The Duel became a one-on-one battle against the other player with no enemies or stages. Like the single-player duel mode, health could not be regained, nor magic used. Controls: A is magic, B is attack, and C is jump. The controls are smooth and nothing is forced. Music: The game has a great soundtrack. In fact, the game metal band Megadriver did cover versions of the entire soundtrack. (Megadriver can be found at www.megadriver.com.br) Extra Stuff: There is a reason why I chose to do the Genesis version of the game. I chose to do so because the Genesis version had an extra level the arcade didn't. When you beat Death Adder in the arcade version, that's it, game over, but in the Genesis version, they storm the castle and go inside to find Death Bringer and face him in the final battle. Death Bringer is a b*****d, who has the ability to copy your most powerful magic. Overall: I'd give this game a perfect 10/10. It's Golden Axe. If you haven't played this game it is available on the Wii virtual console for 8 bucks. I recommend giving it a go. For those of you who are Xbox 360 owners, Golden Axe the arcade version is on Xbox live arcade. I recommend them both. Anyway, thanks for reading, and here is a video of Golden Axe gameplay: http://youtube.com/watch?v=GiWHW5G6hlMThis is a full run, so if for some reason you don't like spoilers don't watch it, however if you are like me and don't give a ******** about spoilers, go ahead and watch it.
