Smiling broadly he shook her hand.

"Yes I suppose it is a magic trick of sorts. One learns such things in my trade. Though I must note most of colleagues would claim it to be mockery. Well I'm pleased to make your aquaintance Ms. Reya."

If she were decidedly observant she would notice that skin beneath his fingernails did not have the normal rosy tint but appeard a pale gray as if to pronouce any extra strangeness he had about him. Beyond the already fox like features he had, the truth of the matter was that he was decidedly pale though far from appearing sickly. Brushing some of the blue tipped hair white hair that ran front of his eyes he smiled warmly.

Expecting such a question he simply nodded and smiled.

"By trade I am a Shadow mage, which often means I'm a magically trained sell sword or mercenary. Personally I don't like hurting people for money so I often just hire out my services for anything needed. Thus you could say I'm a vertiable jack of trades. I have done a bit of everything during my time. Currently I am acting as liason between a guild and a few of their noteworthy freelancers."

Feeling his answer fulfilled his needs he proceeded smile sheepishly

"I hope it doesn't make you think less of me. I'm currently investigating the whereabouts of a member of said guild who frequents this place."

Making note of her sudden interest in his business he shrugged feeling that it didn't matter otherwise.

"I'm not sure how well she has let herself be known within this establishment, but her name is Epithany. Truth be told, my interest in her is not mainly in her connection to my current employer. I've actually known her longer than she has been in their service. She is actually a student of mine from way back when. Strangely not for any magical means, but martial arts. I never understood why she followed the path of a friend of mine, but she decided to enter his guild rather than follow my footsteps."

Smirking he pulled the glasses from his nose as to gain a unobscured look at her face. Though his eyes were apparently entirely black spreading out from the pupil, in certain light flecks of yellow could be seen.

"Now that I have said more about myself. It would please me a great deal to hear about the lady before me. My travels many times leave the prospect of meeting new people difficult. So what makes you tick m'lady?"

Keeping his unwavering gaze on her eyes, he sat calmy awaiting an possible answer.

Touching his fingertips together he continued to smile entirely undaunted by the vagueness of her answer. Though he had revealed much about himself, it had only been information concerning why he was in the area. As he was virtually a stranger to her, an interrogation style question such as that was a bit too prying.

"Ah...from what I can deduce from you being behind the counter here. You are bartender I presume. I too worked in such a postion before. Tenders are usually the most knowledgeable persons in an establishment."

Replacing his glasses he props his chin in his palm returning his gaze upon her once more.

"Its nice to see that owner of this establishment doesn't see to hire grizzled old men like some many others. A pretty face behind the counter has a much more likely way of getting person to purchase a drink or perhaps spill their guts.
