Depends on what you're trying to play. Something more classical and soft, like Fur Elise, then woodwind. Something louder, more big band-ish? Brass.
I tried playing a trumpet and I failed. But I kinda-sorta-not-really-though got the feel of playing with partials and buzzing. But I don't think my mouth formation was meant for a brass instrument. rolleyes

my friend plays trumpet and he tried teaching me and i can buzz to save my life xd but i like the brass, they keep the melody while the woodwinds do different fancy stuff. i'm a clarinet player, the only one in my band at that. but i also can play flute and sax smile

 Woodwinds do actually get the melody. Nevertheless, who gets the melody varies from piece to piece.
