The remaining tiles tilted and then slowly and surely dropped into pieces of oblivion underneath. There was only one lever left for Roland to pull.

DO OR DIE
- Hold onto anything nearby! If you are in the PRISONERS AREA (aka not Roland), roll 1d6. If odd you MAKE IT. If even you fall into your death and the last thing you see are the spikes - good thing it is a deep long fall so your allies don't have to suffer watching you

This was not good. Not good at all. There was an overwhelming sense of impending doom as Finn began searching the walls for something that he could grab a hold of, something to keep him from falling to his death when the rest of the tiles inevitably shifted. It would have been too perfect for them not to, to be saved at the last moment, for that idiot on the other side of the door to actually pull the right ******** lever goddamnit.
Finn somehow, someway, managed to find what he needed. He grabbed a hold of something jutting out of the wall, something that might just end up electrocuting him but hell, at least he will have tried. He had a moment to glance towards Jack, to open his mouth to call to the other man, to tell him that he'd found something.
And before he could even get the words out, the floor tiles all tilted sharply. Finn clung to what he hoped could save him now.
It was no surprise that Ian would find something (or someone) to hold onto.

Roland watched the lever for a long moment before he let it go. When he finally did it only stayed in place but a moment before slowly sliding back to its starting position. He frowned, this wasn't going to end well at all now was it?
Reaching for the last lever he started to pull it down wondering just what was going on outside, let alone what would happen once he got it all right.

Jack really had no luck with grabbing or touching things with his hands today. First acid, then electrocution, and now a nice dose of impending death. His scrabbling grew more and more frantic as the tiles fell, though he refused to waste his breath cursing again as most of it went into trying to keep himself in control. Breathing exercises! In and out, in and out!
And down.
A second into the fall he did grasp at something, which happened to be one of Finn's boots; but it wasn't enough to stop him completely. Of course not. Once Jack started something, apparently it was going to finish one way or another. Maybe he was just too tall and too heavy. Or maybe he was just weighed down by the collective dislike some people had for him.
Maybe Cass's ghost was dragging him down.
Either way, he and the boot slipped away despite his attempts, though Jack thought he saw something odd; somehow or another Ian was not falling despite not having something physical to grab that Jack noticed. Not that it mattered very much beyond the split second surprise before the descent.
It was a longer fall than he expected, which was unpleasant to say the least. He could see the spikes coming for far longer than he wished. Still, he knew he was going to die one way or another; that was just the way his luck ran. He accepted it.
All Abbi had to hear was the word 'padawan' before she hopped forward after the man. Had she heard of someone named Mark? Yeah probably but that was superfluous information. With a hand stuck into the air to wave around, Abbi followed after Mark.
"I wanna be a padawan! I can be good at security and stuff!" Maybe... Today her track record wasn't the best, but uh well... There was time to change! Yeah! "The force is strong within me and all that!"
It was only ever going to end this way. Tiles fell around him, and he didn't even have the speed to hang onto something, not with an arrow in his leg. He knew what was going to happen and what he had to do, but his body refused to move fast enough. Gloved hands only reached for thin air as solid ground gave way beneath his feet.
There was only a faint glimmer of surprise as he fell, fell, fell. A hand reached above him toward the light, but he kept falling. What a funny feeling.
And by the time the light was just a speck, the sharp pain had already set in. Oh, he mouthed, it's just another bad ending.

Delta and Omega
So there was this: Taym had a strong distaste for Mark. Possibly he felt outclassed in the Natural Hobo Department and resented him for it; possibly he channeled a suicidal distaste for Caelius into the much safer vessel that was Mark. You could blame the whole Warehouse Incident, but the truth was Taym hated Mark from long before that, and privately suspected him, still, of being the one who absconded with his proposal. Because Taym is stupid.
But there was this too: Taym trusted Mark more than just about anyone he was in arm's length of besides Peyton, and he didn't trust Peyton to know what was going on and do something about it, which gave Mark a definite edge.
And so, resignedly, Taym put up a hand when Mark called for volunteers. Anything to get them all out of this as soon and as safely as possible, and no time to ask Mark if that was in fact the goal. Just blind trust.
Taym didn't like blindly trusting anything.
"I'll go," he answered, also in a whisper, just in case they were whispering for a reason and not out of some Mark-driven sense of theatrics. And then, as an afterthought and fully aware that NOW WAS NOT THE TIME: "What the ******** a padawan?"
Seeing Abbi rocket off towards Mark again, he couldn't help but worry about her just a little, and he had just met her. Looking to Stormy, he lightly squeezed her hand, before standing next to her and whispering "Be careful, whatever you choose, non?" before going forward and going to grab Abbi by her hand, shrugging a bit.
"Mist is 'ere to do what is needed, oui?" He asked her, winking lightly before following Marktowards whatever hells they were getting themselves in to.

And then suddenly they were all falling.
Ian let out a shout of surprise - and, for the very first time, a shout of fear. He felt his stomach drop, the rest of his body following physically, and inside of his head he knew the answer to the question he'd unintentionally asked himself earlier.
I don't want to die.
Desperately, running on pure adrenaline now, Ian grasped wildly in the air for something, anything to keep him from falling. His fingers snagged on something, his arm jerking straight, and a jolt of pain reverberated up through his injured shoulder, making him cry out. He couldn't see what it was that he was holding onto, his body slanted at a downward angle, but whatever it was, it was keeping him from falling into the pit below.
Someone else was clinging to beside him - Ian caught a glimpse of Finn's stunned, blood streaked face - but others were not so lucky.
He did not see Jack fall, except for a streak of familiar green that passed by, but he heard the body hit the spikes, Ian pressing his face into his arm so that he wouldn't have to see anything, so that he could dig his fingers into whatever it was that was holding him steady and just breathe, breathe deep and breathe slow.
And just keep holding on.

Mark had been for some reason counting steps. He was on something like fifty-six when he just stopped. There was no way of seeing Mark's expression, but it could easily compete with the greatest otaku of nerd brony fandom upon hearing that Twilight Sparkle was actually a pony princess.
Long story short, there was a long pause in the dark that seemed to stretch to forever.
"I changed my mind," Mark finally said, in response to Taym. "Not everyone can be a padawan. Some people are just more Gungan material." He was pretty proud of himself for thinking of such a terrible insult.

OMEGA AND DELTA
She was a little startled to see Mark around instead of more suffering; both were not equated with one another in her eyes. A startled noise left her as they practically collided, but it quickly turned into nearly sob-like laughter. "Hello, Sheepdog!" she greeted him, the moment so strange she couldn't help but crack a smile, strained as it was. "Glad to see you're on the case helping us."
She had all the faith in him.
She stepepd to the side as Abbi and Dory chose to go with him, squeezing her fellow Mist's hand in return. "Keep her safe for me?" she asked as a parting favor. "Watch yourselves. I think I'll go find the others instead. Someone needs to tell them the cavalry's coming."
Maybe there were still survivors. If there were, Gale certainly had to be among them; she still needed to find him. And what Mark had been saying, it was starting to click in her head . . .
"May the Force be with you," Stormy told the division assistant with her most hopeful look, saluting him with two fingers to her temple before continuing down the path.
