ⅼ☽ ⓐ Я K K 1 T Dark-kit blinked as he heard his own voice out loud. It seemed different and unnatural to him. His blue eyes turned to look at Ghastlypaw. She seemed quite happy that he had spoken out loud. His tiny ears flattened at this and he simply nodded when she said he was going to be a great warrior one day. His blue eyes wandered to where Foxstar had stood during the ceremony.

✖✖✖✖✖✖Rainblast ✖✖✖✖✖✖Rainblast laughed when Charmingpaw ran into him. Someone was excited. "Someone looks happy." The young father purred, licking Charmingpaw over the head. "I'm proud of you Charmingpaw. You be good and listen to your mentor." Rainblast meowed sternly, his eyes were smiling though. This was a happy day for him. Not only did he get to watch his kits become apprentices but he also got an apprentice of his own. It was great! He chuckled a bit when the young tom said he would take care of him and Sungaze. If he wanted to, Rainblast wouldn't say no to a little help now and then.
Rainblast huffed a bit when Charmingpaw asked him to take him to his mentor. Who did Foxstar say was his son's mentor? Ah yes, Ghostwhisper. He paused for a moment. Then with a sigh he looked to Runningpaw. "I'll be right back Runningpaw." With that, he led the way to Ghostwhisper. With a respectful nod to the older warrior he purred. "Ghostwhisper. This is my son, Charmingpaw. Charmingpaw, this is your mentor. Listen to him." Rainblast sat down and curled his tail around him. OOC:✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖

Orchidkit felt her paws start to buzz with anticipation as she heard her leader yowl out his announcement. This was it. The day she had been waiting for so many moons, ever since the day she opened her eyes. It was today that she could finally become something that will actually be of use to the Clan. Her blue eyes shone with proud excitement as she scanned the clearing, as if looking for one spot to look at so she wouldn't look as nervous as she was. For a moment, she thought her heart was going to burst out of her chest, she was so jittery. She tried her best to calm her erratically beating heart, and was mostly successful, except for a little twitch of her tail here and there. Orchidkit took a deep breath. She was ready. 6 moons. She was ready.
She swallowed hard, then looked to her brother, who had apparently been grooming her for a few minutes now. The little orange she-cat wrinkled her nose in mock disgust and pushed him away playfully with a little white paw.
"I don't want your cooties, mousebrain!" she teased before looking at him and licking a wayward tuft of fur on his head.
"Hush now, darlings," her mother cooed, licking both of her kits on the ear lovingly. She looked at them with admiration and pride before nudging them in the rump with a hushed whisper, "Make your mother proud."
That one little comment made the soon-to-be apprentice's chest swell with pride. Orchidkit walked elegantly towards her leader with tail raised just high enough to show she was pleased, but not high enough to signal that she was an emotional wreck inside. Elegant and controlled. Just like her mother was. She sat there with nose pushed in the air and paws together. Electricity and fire flowed through her veins at the sound of her new name.
Orchidpaw...
Everything went silent for a moment as she drank in the nature buzzing around her. Orchidpaw. She closed her eyes for a few moments to appreciate the gentle humming of the forest. It was when she opened her eyes again that sound returned to her ears. The sound of her Clanmates cheering her name. She let out a little sigh of pure joy as she looked to her new mentor, who had been chosen already. Envyfeather. She willed her tail not to twitch in excitement. Orchidpaw had never really gotten to know Envyfeather, but she was excited nonetheless, and gave her mentor an electric gaze as she gently touched noses with her.
Once the ceremony was over, she stayed by Envyfeather's side for a few moments. Her reservation during the ceremony was starting to wear off, which could be seen in the twitch of her tail and her ears. She wanted to look as dignified as possible in front of her new mentor, but she couldn't help but stand up and bounce on her paws. And as soon as she opened her mouth, the whole Clan probably knew how excited she was.
"Great StarClan I'm so excited that you're my mentor when are we going to go training can we go now I wanna learn how to fight first ooh, no wait maybe hunting I don't know I hope we can be best of friends I'm so excite--" she blurted out in a rush before catching herself. She took a deep breath again and sat down, then tried to say in a calm voice, "I look forward to training with you very much, Envyfeather."

OOC: GAIA DELETED MY PREVIOUS POST. OH HOW I HATE YOU GAIA. Oh and I didn't know Charmingpaw was a guy...lolGhostwhisper looked up when Foxstar called his name, announcing him to be Charmingpaw's mentor. Him, a mentor? He was not entirely sure that it was a good idea. He climbed to his paws and stiffly walked up to the Shadowstone, where he gingerly touched noses with his new apprentice before hurriedly leaving the Shadowstone. He didn't know whether or not it was only his imagination, but the cheers for Charmingpaw seemed a little quieter than the rest of the apprentices. He had a feeling that it was because he, Ghostwhisper, had become the young tom's mentor...or, the whole thing could be his imagination.
He was about to head back to the warrior's den for some well-earned rest, when he heard Charmingpaw's high-pitched voice pipe up, asking his father to take him to see his mentor. The mask-patterened tom shifted his gaze from father to son, and the only reaction he gave was a single blink. "Charmingpaw." He rasped, before swallowing to moisten his ravaged vocal cords, "May Starclan shield you from misfortune." He muttered, gazing unblinkingly into Charmingpaw's eyes. It was probably a slightly strange thing to say to a new apprentice, especially from his own newly appointed mentor.
((Creepy Ghosty is creepy XD))

[Charmingpaw followed after his father, skipping along the way as he was taken to his mentor. On the short walk to find the cat, Charmingpaw realized.. He's never met Ghostwhisper! The tom purred, knowing he'd make a new friend.] "Maybe he likes rainbows."[The brown tabby thought. After a few moments, His father finally found Ghostwhisper, and dropped him off, leaving him with Ghostwhisper. Charmingpaw looked up, his gray eyes examining his mentor.]"Hi! My name is Charmin-"[He said happily, trying to introduce himself before being interrupted.]
"May Starclan shield you from misfortune."
[His mentor said. Glaring up at the white and black tom, began to question his words.] "What's that supposed to mean?"[He asked, a slight hint of anger mixed into his words.]

Falconwind sat, watching, as Ghostwhisper was announced as Charmingpaw's mentor. His ears pricked, straining to hear what the warrior had said to the newly named apprentice. He didn't hear what the older cat had said, but he hoped it wasn't something dark, the was no need to frighten the young cat. Though, the ebony tom didn't know either cat well and knew he shouldn't jump to conclusions.
I rose to his paws, dipping his head politely to Ghostwhisper as he approached. "Congratulations," he meowed politely, pushing his concerns aside. It's not like he disliked the cream colored warrior, he just didn't know him. The tip of Falconwind's ebony tail twitched as he watched the other warrior, before he considered turning away to seek out Foxstar and speak with the NightClan leader. _____________________________________________________________________ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆

RUNNINGPAW Runningpaw bounced happily from paw to paw as he looked at his new mentor. He was so focused in making sure he didn't forget what Rainblast looked like, that he didn't notice Charmingpaw until he had bumped into Rainblast; which was almost right in Runningpaw's nose. He let out a squeak of surprise and stumbled backwards a little bit to give the father and son some space. Runningpaw was happy for Charmingpaw, his daddy was so proud. It was quite obvious really. It almost looked as if Rainblast would explode with pride. Must be a real great day for Rainblast. The young tabby apprentice thought. He get's to see his kits be apprentices AND he get's an apprentice of his own.
At his mentor's words Runningpaw nodded and looked around at the other apprentices. His sister Orchidpaw was back to her normal bouncy self, which made Runningpaw even happier than he already was. Ghastlypaw seemed to enjoy her mentor. Though Runningpaw wasn't quite sure who the fluffy cat was. He remembered seeing her here and there in the nursery. She seemed to spend a bit of time there but other than that he had no clue who she was. Though maybe Rainblast did. Furypaw seemed to look a little lost. So, with a deep breath the tabby tom padded forward with a determination to help the tom, and maybe make a new friend. "Furypaw? We can ask my mentor if he knows where your mentor is..." Runningpaw offered hesitantly to the fiery colored apprentice.

F o x s t a r The brown-furred tom felt his fur lift with excitement. Today was the day of the great Gathering, and he wanted NightClan to be there first. It was as if the leaders were little kits, simply striving to succeed as the overall winner of a small race. Without further hesitation, he padded to the entrance in quick pace, turning around to call out to his group.
"Today is the night of the gathering! And I will be taking Rainblast, Guardianvow, Lionfur, Blossomstream, Pine-eyes, Runningpaw, Orchidpaw, Scarletpaw and Charmingpaw! And of course, Falconwind, Rabbitfoot and all elders must attend. The gathering awaits!"
With that, he made his way to the gathering with haste. He felt his stomach stir with doubt, remembering the events taken place at the last gathering in his mind. Will there be a tragic turn of events at this one? With that thought at the back of his head, he only worried about the speech he was going to give in front of all clans, including his.

"I don't know, but i'm not going. Maybe it's because of my jaw" she mewed, a bit disappointed, of course; she was young, so she didn't understand Foxstar couldn't take her, she was still childish, kittish in nature. She wasn't old enough to understand the facts, the logics she couldn't go. Besides, hadn't her Grandmother been killed at a Gathering? Now that she thought of it, she remembered this story, this tale of a leader being struck down by a tree at a Gathering, she shivered slightly at the thought. "Well, it's okay, maybe next time... And maybe by next time!" her ears perked up, as she paused; then went on. "Maybe next time, you'll be an Apprentice too! And we can go together!" Ghastlypaw mewed.

OOC: "Maybe he likes rainbows" LMFAO ;D Btw I wasn't sure if Ghost was left out of the gathering by accident or not, but I'm going to assume not for the moment :3It was easy to see that the young apprentice was confused at the black and white tom's strange words. Any sane cat would be, if a tom one has met mere moments ago started spouting nonsense like that. Unfortunately for Charmingpaw, he seemed to have landed with the oddest mentor of all. A strange pairing indeed, an optimistic and bouncy apprentice being matched with the most self-hating (in twoleg words, emo) tom in Nightclan. "Perhaps when your young ears are ready, you will know. I'm sure the elders would be...more than happy to tell you why." He rasped with a slightly bitter tone to his voice, as if reminiscing about something unpleasant, but his tone of bitterness was almost undetectable. "You should not concern your young head over such trivial matters, Charmingpaw...tell me, did your father ever tell you about your namesake?" He asked out of the blue, definitely not the first question a mentor would ask an apprentice, but Ghostwhisper wanted to know why any parent would name their kit such a...charming name, pun unintended.
At that moment, the lithe ebony shape of the deputy made his way up to the mentor and apprentice, dipping his head to congratulate the two of them with a single word. "Thank you, Falconwi -" Before he could finish his sentence, Foxstar had once again yowled out to the clan, announcing the names of all cats who would attend. Not to his immense surprise, his name wasn't included. Perhaps Foxstar didn't fully trust the tom with odd patterns. "Silentleopard, she is faring well?" Ghostwhisper asked the deputy out of nowhere, changing the topic completely and probably catching him off guard.
((...I just realised that Ghostwhisper speaks like Yoda.))

RUNNINGPAW Runningpaw relaxed a little bit when the fiery pelted apprentice seemed to not be mean. At Foxstar's words the young tabby tom shivered with excitement. A gathering! He had heard so much about these things! He was going to meet all the other apprentices! It would be absolutely fantastic! He looked back to Furypaw. "We can quickly go ask Rain--" He stopped talking when Furypaw said he would talk to his mentor when the gathering group got back. That didn't seem fun. He wouldn't get to meet his own mentor until later. "Okay. I'll ask Rainblast who your mentor is. That way I can show you when we get back!" Runningpaw said happily. "Have fun here... You'll hear all about what happened when we get back. Promise!" He meowed, turning to go find Rainblast.
"Rainblast! Rainblast! We get to go to the gathering!" Runningpaw squealed excitedly as he stumbled to the tabby warrior. "Orchidpaw!" He veered over to his sister, skidding to a stop halfway between his sister and his mentor. Who should he go to? His mentor would tell him how to behave. Which meant that Envyfeather would do the same... Right? And he could sit with his sister at the gathering... "Rainblast? Can I sit with Orchidpaw at the gathering?" He asked, padding up to his mentor. "Rainblast? Mentors tell their apprentices what to do at a gathering right? Rainblast? Are the other clans mean? Rainbl--" Runningpaw cut himself off when he realized he was firing off questions without giving the tabby warrior a chance to respond. So he clamped his jaws shut and looked up at Rainblast.

✖✖✖✖✖✖Rainblast ✖✖✖✖✖✖Rainblast's eyes never left Ghostwhisper as he listened to his son and his son's mentor. The words confused Charmingpaw, as well as Rainblast a bit. He sighed and looked around, maybe he would ask one of the senior warriors. When Charmingpaw seemed almost angry, Rainblast rested his tail on his son's shoulder in warning. He opened his mouth to say something to his son when all of a sudden a squeak was calling his name. The tabby warrior turned his head to see an excited Runningpaw stumbling towards him. Ah, that was what he was waiting for. It wasn't every day that the clan took the new apprentices to the gathering but now they had to show everyone that despite everything, Nightclan was still thriving per usual.
Rainblast gave Charmingpaw a lick between his ears before he turned his attention to his apprentice. At Runningpaw's first question he nodded. "Yes Running--" Rainblast stopped when Runningpaw continued to fire question after question with no notice of ceasing. He tried a few times to answer the questions but he settled with just waiting until the tom stopped talking. "Of course you can sit with your sister. I sat with my siblings at my first gathering. I'll let you know what not to do once we get there. And no, most of the other cats are nice. ANd if not nice, they are tolerable. During gathering we shouldn't fight so most are pretty civil towards each other. Don't worry Runningpaw. Let's go." Rainblast reassured the young apprentice and stood up. Resting his tail on the tabby tom, he led the way after Foxstar. He was a little dissappointed that Envyfeather wasn't coming. He had gone to his very first gathering as an apprentice with his sister and brother. He would have enjoyed going to their first gathering as mentors together as well. Rainblast sighed and settled himself with the idea that he would tell her all about it when they got back. OOC: ✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖

FALCONWIND nightclanxxwarrior H O N O RXXXX▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂XXXXD U T Y X EMBER SAYS: Aw, Falconwind wants to be a daddy sad
Falconwind flattened his ears at Foxstar's call. Silentleopard wouldn't be coming to this gathering. A wave of anger rolled over the ebony tom. He hated himself at the moment. Silentleopard had been wounded in the flooding and he hadn't been with her; now he couldn't bare to be away from her for more than a short period of time. His anger was also directed at Foxstar for not allowing the NightClan's deputy's mate to attend the gathering. He knew in that she wasn't fit to travel because of her injuries, even with the method that Falconwind used to carry her on his back, he knew she likely wouldn't be coming to any gathering anytime soon.
Wrenched from his thoughts by Ghostwhisper's question, Falconwind jerked his head up, replying, "She seems to be recovering from her wound's well. I just hope that no infections set in." He paused, flicking his tail. "But with a skilled medicine cat like Rabbitfoot, she'll be alright, she's a strong cat." His tone was hard with determination. There was no way he would allow anything more happen to his beloved mate!
Sighing, he sank his claws into the ground. He had to catch up with Foxstar and arrive at the gathering. Thoughts of Silentleopard invaded his mind though. Seeing the mentors being assigned apprentices, specifically seeing Charmingpaw with his father was reminding Falconwind of how his mate told him how she wanted kits one day, and so did he, but would his mate be able to have kits with the way her hind legs were crippled?
Shaking his head, Falconwind shook off these thoughts, he had to get to the gathering. Turning away from Ghostwhisper, he mewed, "Good luck with Charmingpaw, he'll keep your paws full, but you'll do a fine job of training him." With that the ebony tom took off after Foxstar, racing to catch up with the NightClan leader. _____________________________________________________________________ ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆
