Soooo, you plan on posting?

Laxus's eyes grew wide when the sand wrapped around his mouth halting him mid explanation. ' This indignant runt. ' Laxus thought to himself, his anger welling up. Even though he wasn't the teams leader, Kensei didn't have the serious side to function properly in such a situation as far as Laxus had seen. " As you wish. " Laxus said, his anger quite obvious as Kensei told him to leave. " I'll be outside the gates when you all feel like showing up. " Laxus said turning curtly on the spot much the way a militant would have. He walked briskly out the door and down the stairs. ' That insufferable child might be stronger than me now, but should I ever achieve my full power I will not hesitate to decimate this village. ' Laxus thought his dog tags shifting around his neck.

As Laxus would hit the bottom of the stairs, his bead necklace thatthe dog tags were on would break, the beads and dog tags orbiting around his body. He wasn't seemingly on the offensive, so the ANBU would have to be complete idiots to attack him. The more he thought about it, he sighed as he held out his hand, all of the beads and the dog tags falling into his hand. He placed the beads in his pocket and placed the dog tags on his shirt holding them there with his jiton. Laxus would then exit the building, his anger no longer showing, but still very much there.

( Edit: Sorry, I didn't see that you all had posted... sweatdrop )

Before Laxus could go through the door, it slammed shut once more, again as if of it's own accord, though this time if one was to look closely they could see a cloud of sand dispersing from the area. "I don't think you understand." David spoke, drawing any attention that had been on the door back to himself. He didn't even glance at the picture Kensei had attempted to show him, as his attention was fully on Laxus now once again. Stepping out from behind his desk, the young kage walked around the other Kumo nin, and directly to Laxus, stopping two feet in front of him. Staring at him for a few seconds, David allowed a moment of tension to build before suddenly snapping out with his right hand and grabbing the boy's collar, dragging his head down to face level with himself with a force of strength the boy couldn't hope to match. "Let me show you something." he hissed, lips stretching just a tad wider than expressly necessary, and revealing a mouth full of unnaturally sharp teeth, fangs really, and if one had the courage to inspect them, obviously not filed as some ninja did for intimidation. His teeth had turned to fangs from the chakra of the Ichibi he had allowed to leak out of him, altering his appearance slightly and filling the air with a feeling as if you were going to die. If the raw fury had not been enough to make an impression earlier, perhaps the aura of death would.

Still gripping the boy's collar, David turned and dragged him back to the desk, forcing him to his knees and switching his grip to the boy's hair so he could twist his head back and force him to look into the face of Kensei, who would undoubtedly have turned by now. "This." David spoke, leaning down next to the boy so his face was beside his own, so they were both looking at Kensei. "This is what we call a chuunin. That means he has the skill and power to kill you without blinking an eye." He paused for a moment at that, keeping Laxus aimed at Kensei to force the statement to sink in. "Do you know what else he is?" David whispered, starting again in a mock conspiratorial tone. "He is your superior officer. And do you know what that means? the boy growled, more and more of the demon's chakra slipping out every second as his voice took on a bestial tinge. "That means," He spoke slowly and clearly, as if to finally drive his point home. He also stood up again at this point, but kept his hold on Laxus so he could not look away from Kensei. "He has the right to do it. You obviously think him a fool. Your kage obviously does not." Giving a sudden twist of his arm, David shoved Laxus away and to the floor, finally releasing him. Simultaneously, the demonic chakra that had begun to flood the room vanished, retreating back behind his seal. The atmosphere of the room lifted a bit, but David kept the tension high, still glaring at the boy. "Learn your place. You will remain in this room. You will stand behind your leader, and you will remain silent. Do you understand now?" the kage simultaneously ordered and demanded. He was not going to do anything further until he got an affirmative response from the boy. He also didn't particularly care that he had just assaulted a Kumo genin in front of his team. As far as he was concerned, he was doing Kumo a favor by putting the brat in his place.

Sora worried as David walked to him, eyes following the Kazekage even if she needed to turn her body slightly.. She was in the midst of deciding if she should try and extricate her friend from this situation as well as just how she could do it when David suddenly grabbed Laxus. Upon seeing the physical contact, Sora prepared to make an excuse for her teammate. However, she froze in midstep. A shiver ran through her as she felt the frightening aura that emanated from David.

After forcing herself to finish her step rather than pulling it back, Sora closed her eyes to calm herself as David dragged Laxus back to the desk. She could feel the Rokubi's reaction to David's killing intent. Even if the intent wasn't directed at it, the six tails still felt anxious, a little threatened even. Behind her, Sora could hear David explaining to Laxus about chuunin and whatnot as she calmed herself. She wasn't even in danger of losing control but she was in danger of suddenly sending out small sparks of electricity every which way from her body, something she would rather not have as it was most definitely not normal.

The girl's standstill through all this would likely be read as her simply freezing in fear. Her face, with a clear expression of anxiety on it, would definitely support such a view.

After a few shaky breaths, Sora felt the danger of random sparking recede, all without a single sign of it. She still felt shaky, but it didn't feel as if the Rokubi was beginning to think about overwhelming her. Brining a hand up to her eyes, the girl rubbed them as she quickly deced on her next course of action. She couldn't bear to just watch Laxus be treated so harshly, even if he had somewhat brought it upon himself, As David withdrew his demonic aura, Sora turned partially around and peeked through the hand that she held up to her eyes. Her tensed shoulders visibly relaxed. Although, worry was still clear on her face. The tension was much better than the atmosphere a moment ago, but it wasn't comfortable either.

The girl watched Laxus carefully, trying to predict the gist of his reply with him saying as few words as possible. If it seemed like something that wouldn't upset David, Sora would simply turn about and step back to her former position. She already regretted not stepping up sooner, but what's done was done. It would make no sense to try and continue something like this past its minimum. However, the moment it seemed as if Laxus might say something to prolong this unfriendly atmosphere, Sora would take her chances. She would step up to besides Kensei and interrupt Laxus's words with a firm call of his name. Then, remembering her position, Sora would cast a glance at Kensei to ask if she could continue.User Image

[tired of waiting]
Kensei just crossed his arms and had a serious face which was extremely rare in his case. The only time he made this face was mostly in battle. He just continued to watch Laxus get dragged around by David while being taught the basics. Honestly Kensei wanted to do this in the lobby, but he didn't want to make a bigger scene than his entrance. Instead he looked down at Sora who glanced at him and just shook his head no. He noticed that David frowned when he named her skills and he didn't want he to be in the same situation as Laxus.

Maybe Laxus needed this so he could learn his place. But then again maybe David was taking things a bit to far. Kensei just sighed and returned back to his usual "care free" face. He walked up to David and placed a hand on his shoulder to try and calm him down. "Yo calm down David. I think he's learned his lesson. Let's just get back to this rogue ninja in your village." Kensei didn't want to get into a fight with David. Mainly because he promised the Raikage not to fight anybody in this village and it may ruin the chances of receiving help from these people. For now Kensei just left a hand on David's shoulder.

Overhead, it seemed thunder clouds were beginning to form. Rain showers in the desert were rare, usually a storm cloud produced nothing more than heat lightning. And for the people, it looked to be just this way. The cloud lumbered and grew slowly and menacingly, however as usual no rain fell. It was simply looming, lighting streaking within it. It was then that something odd happened over the tower. The storm after a bout of lightning boomed with thunder, grabbing a few people's attention that time. Then after only a few moments, it began to rain over the tower and the general area. Whoever was near it would be quite surprised to see the rain come down, and elated most likely as well. When it rained in the desert it really poured, and this was no exception.

The rain came down hard and steady, pummeling the tower. The clay it was built out of became damp and dull, the color changing to one that looked almost like mud. Whatever was going on that way seemed to grab more and more attention, people pointing in that direction and wondering how long the rain was gonna last.

In an instant, the sky grew dark as if the beam of energy that protruded from it had sucked up all the light in the area. The beam of lightning that shot down was incredible in size, and fast too. It took less than a second for it to completely engulf the tower, strands of electricity arcing around as it struck. The ground shook tremendously and the village seemed to erupt in panic and screams. However, that was not the worst of it. After lightning strikes there is always the sound of thunder, however the thunder that erupted was deadly in force. The force of the strike itself was engulfed in the sound of thunder as it sent a shock wave in a radius of five-hundred feet from the epicenter of the blast. What this meant of course, was that surrounding buildings were affected as well, the foundations of those within the range failing and causing collapse. In essence, the one blast had decimated the tower and rocked the foundation of every important building around it, which in essence was everything considering the location of the tower and the way the village was built.

"The last person to touch me like that is dead." David said quietly, his eyes sliding back towards Kensai as he dared lay his hand on him. He conveniently left out the fact he had nothing to do with the person's death. He HAD threatened to rip the last guy's arm off though, so it was a fair warning. Very well." he said a moment later, turning and moving back to the other side of the desk. Reprimanding the boy wasn't his place anyways. He just couldn't stand the boy's blatant disregard for the basic shinobi principles.

"Jishaku you say?" David muttered, picking up the photo at last and turning his eyes on it. He stared for a moment, blinked once, and stared a little more. This was... Jin, with a different hair color. So the supposed dangerous criminal was the enigma he had been studying for the past few days? Everything seemed to make sense though now. The man had been highly secretive, no doubt because his origins were a lie. He had been combing the village at night, an act that had amused his watchers, and seemed to be drawing a map. If he were worried about being caught, he would want an escape route prepared. So, David did have the man they were looking for... But what could he get in return? Suna could deal with him easily enough, why should they hand him over to Kumo, when they had had no treaties or alliances in years? "Information comes at a price. What is Kumo willing to gi-" David began the same question he had asked Yamatano, only to pause as his senses picked up on something unusual. Turning around, he looked out the window to see... Rain?

Rain in the desert was rare. A blessing of the highest order, and one celebrated by many. Some sects even worshiped the rain, though David put little stock in them. But despite the benefits of the rain, there was something wrong. Something was off. Peering closely at the falling water, it only took David a moment to figure out what it was. The rain didn't extend more that twenty feet from the walls of the building. Rain in the desert was rare, but it was never such a freak occurrence as to appear in the middle of a clear sky, in a tiny area. This rain must then be either a miracle upon miracles, or the work of a ninja. A powerful one, to make rain in the desert. When the thunder began a little later, while David was staring into the storm, he knew what was coming. He'd only heard of such attacks in rumor, but one did not ignore a ninja's instinct.

Spinning on his heel, David yanked the catch hidden under his desk, and the floor underneath his visitors gave way instantly, dropping them into what must have seemed an abyss, as it dropped as far as the eye could see into infinite blackness. A moment later, David jumped into the hole himself, hundreds of pounds of sand strapped to his limbs dragging him down to meet the others quickly. Once he was level with them, the sand blasted out of his sleeves and pant legs, wrapping the Kumo nin in a ball of sand barely small enough to fit in the pipe they were falling down. It wouldn't be a comfortable ride for the three trapped in his sand, but it would be better than instant death at the bottom, or disintegration by the beam of light he could even now see tearing through the tower above.

At the bottom of the fall, David laid his hand on the ball of sand as they fell out of the pipe, and pulled it with him as he sunk right into the sand below, further and further as he gently slowed the fall to a stop, much slower than he ever had on his own. He wasn't sure what this would do to the others if he stopped at his normal speed. Once they had stopped, he began dragging them back up, until they popped out of the ground, and he let the ball fall apart, the sand rushing back into his clothing.

Looking up, David couldn't believe his eyes. The pit he had dug was now about twenty feet deeper, the edges coated in still cooling glass. Above, was the light of the sun, and the once proud tower nowhere in sight. Was it possible to destroy a monstrosity like that so simply? Who could have... Jishaku. He didn't know what the man could want with this, but he was not going to stand for it. And he certainly wasn't going to hand him to Kumo, not if they offered him their village itself. He was dead. And it would be by David's hand. Leaving the Kumo nin behind, David rose into the air, floating upwards carried by his sand up to where the tower once stood, and he would wait. Jishaku would come. A man did not make such an attack only to walk away without making sure their target was dead, and he suspected, though he was not sure, that he was the target.

Static. Sora could literally feel the rise of the level of electricity present in the air. Ever since discovering what she hosted, the girl had become increasingly sensitive to sensing the electricity about her. It wasn't a boost that the demon gave, or else she wouldn't have become so sensitive only after learning about the demon. Rather, it was a skill she developed after carefully keep track of any signs in her body that would signal something about the Raijuu. Electricity had always been a tell-tale sign. Thus, without hesitation, she proceeded to calm herself down from... whatever it was that was agitating her. She just barely registered Kensei shaking his head no. However, there was nothing.

Sora's next reaction was to look at the window. She had sometimes mistaken the charge created by lightning storms to be related to the Rokubi. Sure enough, she could see dark clouds forming and darkening the sky. Soon, it wasn't only the clouds darkening the area. Rain began pouring down heavily. Of course, Sora was surprised at this sudden downpour. In fact, she was quite elated since it seemed like it would cool things down greatly. She didn't know much about the desert, but she she knew at least that it didn't rain much. However, rain was not something rare or special to the girl. Kumogakure did, after all, get its fair share of rain. Thus, while she didn't have the experience David did, Sora realized just as he did that the rain, strangely enough, touched only the tower and its surroundings.

the girl thought as thunder boomed overhead, very much at a loss of what to make of the strange phenomenon, . She couldn't think of much else. The Raijuu was starting to act up again. It was only minor so far, though, so any physical signs had yet to appear.

Then with a jump of energy from the Raijuu, Sora found her eyes suddenly turned towards David's sudden movement. It was a little action, so any signs had yet to be seen of the demon's interference. Although, worry did appear on Sora's face as she knew that she hadn't even noticed David spinning on his heels. There wasn't much time to think, though. The moment after her eyes moved, David had activated something underneath his desk, and before either Sora or any of the others could react, they were all plummeting to the bottom.

High above the pit now, David scowled, glaring about at all he could see. The damage to the area was tremendous, most of the administrative buildings, which had all been bunched around the tower, had been completely flattened. The ones made of wood simply collapsed, while the ones made of clay or sandstone had been blown apart by what he had to guess had been a shock wave from the impact. He could see ANBU crawling the area collecting wounded from the buildings, but none came near him and the pit below. It was beyond obvious to all. There were no survivors from the tower. Anyone who had been in the tower when the attack hit had evaporated along with it. But mourning would come later, the entire village knew this. For now, they had to lick their wounds, care for the injured, and find who had done this.

And that was why David was scowling. Not because of the damage, nor the injured, or even the dead, but because of the attacker. The man had made a direct assault on the tower, and then not shown his face. "COWARD!" David finally shouted, fed up with the silent wait. His voice, unnaturally amplified by the massive glass pit below, would carry over the entire village. "You can't hide. You can't run. Try to escape and the ANBU will find you. Try to hide and we will find you. You will not be leaving this village alive, so come out and fight!" He yelled, eyes whipping around the area, scanning the edges of his vision for the elusive man. He would not allow this to be another Zane Hajime, the man who had attacked and cause pointless chaos for a day, then fled like a coward. With the additional security on the borders of the village, that would be impossible. This man would be found, and he would kill him personally.

It wasn't long until Jishaku's clone arrived, clutching the Kumo forehead protector in his left hand. Clearly there was no need to plant it at this point. It was then that he heard a shout from the pit that seemed to glimmer. It was a shout of anguish, or frustration it seemed. He wondered what kind of fool shouted like that at an opponent who may not have even been in the area. Who would be there to hear his words? Certainly not the real Jishaku, who seemed to be taking his time around the village. He began to deliver threats, empty threats at that as far as he was concerned. At last the clone responded in the silence, standing on one of the dilapidated roofs nearby. "You hide behind the guise of a diplomatic liaison and I am the coward? You plant false claims of a lady Kazekage in existence instead of simply accepting the position and representing your village as its figurehead and I am the coward? You boy, are a fool. A child who enjoys playing dress-up, attempting to fool the adults around him with his haphazard costumes. You like myself are a liar David, one who has lied to his entire village for months on end in order to achieve his own goals. You are a creature of opportunity, like any shinobi is, however too high and mighty to believe it. Your eyes David, your eyes tell the tale of what lies within you. Did you really think me so stupid to not notice the inability to sleep showing clearly on your face? You, the temple of a demon who does not allow you to rest, a demon who unwillingly lends its power to you for survival despite your clear lack of ability, call me a coward!? I came searching for the host of the Ichibi, hoping that they would be something worth challenging, but look at you! The Ichibi does not respect you, you who has forced it to live in a hole. You will learn today David, that you are undeserving of such power, that cowards are undeserving of such power. And I will walk out of this village unscathed, if only to return in the hopes that you have not once again wasted my time."

David's mood was not improved when the man finally came out, and started yelling back, making assumptions and claims that no man could prove. Except for one, the only one David had never even tried to hide, the one that could be found just by looking in any village's bingo book. The fact that he was the Ichibi's host should have been common knowledge since the last chuunin exams, at least for those who knew anything about the beast.

Slowly, David spun in midair until he could see the man, who had turned up behind him, and glared. This fool had dared to attack him from the shadows, and now called him a coward? That would be the last mistake he'd ever make. Leaning forward and crouching down, even though he was hanging in the air, David allowed sand to leak from his sleeves, forming a small platform below him on which he landed in his new position. After a moment, the platform began to move, rapidly flying in Jishaku's direction. "No. You won't." David spoke, choosing only to verbally respond to the man's final sentence. He would not be leaving the village unscathed. He would not be leaving the village alive.

"Suna Tsue." the boy muttered his jutsu incantation once he was only a few yards from Jishaku, and leapt forward. The sand from below him pulled along in his hand as it formed into a long pole, packing itself tightly together, and he swung it upwards, so that by the time he reached the man, the pole would be fully extended to catch him in the chin, smashing it upwards.

Quote:
Suna Tsue [Sand Staff]
Rank: C
Type: Ninjutsu | Supplementary
Element: Sand
Units: 3
Description:
A technique handy when the user is left defenseless against an armed opponent. Performing a series of seals and holding their hand above the ground, large amounts of sand will fly towards the user as if being drawn by a magnet. The sand will clump and stick together in an elongated shape that will take the form of a bo staff. It can be used in the exact same fashion as that of a normal staff, that is to deliver and defend from attacks, though due to it’s nature it can only take so much punishment before crumbling. The staff can receive three attacks of up to A rank strength, or an equivalent of lower attacks, before crumbling. It can however be repaired on the fly by sacrificing E ranked chakra. Every sacrifice of E ranked chakra can repair the damage from one A ranked attack. Additionally the user can cause the entire length of the staff to be covered in sand spikes which can rip and tear skin if a direct hit is given. These spikes cost D ranked chakra to create.

So long since I've done a fight... This should be interesting. A bit pathetic at first probably, but interesting.

((You'll do fine))
As the clone waited he received little answer to anything he had stated. Clearly the boy didn't believe he had any proof behind his claims. Looking down at the pit from where he was, he could see clearly David's plan of attack as he began to rush towards him, his anger seemingly overwhelming his ability to stay calm. As he rose, the clone took those precious seconds to tie the Kumo forehead protector around his hand, the metal plate going over his knuckles. When the attack came, he leaned back into a graceful back flip with one leg behind the other, kicking the staff with the first leg to go up and over, and attempting to return the attempted strike with a kick to David's chin with the leg following shortly after. The maneuver continued as he performed this action multiple times, placing three yards of distance between him and his opponent.

"Do you really think I am so stupid to believe a village with a competent kage would place the likes of you as a diplomatic liaison? Every village has a council, a council which governs the affairs of a kage when they are gone. The Sunagakure council would never place someone as young and inexperienced as you in such a position, their choice would come from someone who exists in such a council. So I thought to myself, why, just why would you be in such an office unless you commanded the power to do so? You see, if your supposed Lady Kazekage existed, she would be standing before me, not you boy. In my research I have found that the last Kazekage has not been seen visually in over a year. Yet you expect it to be so easy to deceive others into believing she's 'too busy' to deal with a village whose government is in shambles? The sudden influx of Iwa-nin alone would be enough to bring any kage out of hiding, especially the kage of a village who would desperately need the extra manpower. Yet there you sat, scrutinizing every displaced villager pretending you had nothing more to do with it other than simple diplomatic affairs. You are not as well versed as you think David, in fact I could very well say you are terrible at lying, simply terrible"

The kitsune-like smile on his face was unmistakable. The smile held so much behind it that was never revealed, never to be known by those around him. Jishaku was as perceptive as they came, and he knew his assumptions were correct. The fact was, if David didn't want anyone to suspect him as the leader of the village, he shouldn't have placed himself physically in the office in the first place. If he had the experience of any kage, he would have placed in his stead a member of the Suna council, one old enough and well spoken enough to be able to play the role well. Instead, he sat in that tower like a fool, waiting for someone to put the pieces together.

The fighting had seemed to start by the time yamatano arrived. Still atop the head of a Kyodaija, yamatano moved.in position next to David, listening to the man all the while. The kazekage.....gone? The information raised a lot of questions: what was David's real position, who had given it to him, and where was the kazekage? All of this, however, was secondary to two questions: who was this new man, and would yamatano be able to beat him if it came to blows?

The strike against his staff knocked David back a bit, as blinded as he was by his desire to simply kill the annoyance before him he hadn't accounted for such a basic counter. Riding the impact backwards, David slowly flipped back until he was upright again, floating above the ground as he had been moments earlier. This time though, he didn't simply charge again, angry as he was, he wasn't fool enough to believe that would actually work. So, lowering himself to the ground, he allowed the man his monologue, a crazed grin slowly growing across his face the entire time. So many contradictions, and the man claimed to know his secrets?

"Your information is terribly wrong." The boy spoke, his usual calm slowly returning, though the edge of fury was still present in his tone. The old kazekage was gone, yes, but it hadn't been more than a few months since Aeden had carried her out of the village, not a year. That one fact told David more than anything the man was spouting ever could. As accurate as many of his claims were, the man was still just grasping at straws, trying to draw him out, and probably, make a scene in front of his village. Well, it was too late now to dissuade the notion. The foreign shinobi had finally gotten out of the hole, and no matter how he denied it, the report would go back that there was a chance he was the kage.

"You say I have no power, that I am a weak fool, but you also say I must be strong and the leader of my village?" David scoffed, setting the end of his staff on the ground and leaning against it. "I'm sure you must see the contradiction there. But the fact of the matter is..." David looked straight at Jishaku's eyes, holding his left hand up to make a single seal in an almost lazy fashion. "The kazekage is too busy to deal with minor problems." As David finished speaking, the ground all around Jishaku erupted with shuriken formed from sand flying at the man from all sides, a total of twenty sharp blades aimed to pierce him from every angle, leaving only up, or down, for escape routes.

Suna Shuriken [Sand Shuriken]
Rank: D
Type: Ninjutsu | Offensive
Element: Sand
Units: 1/4 per four shuriken
Range: Throwing Range
Description:
The suna shuriken jutsu does exactly what it sounds like, creates shuriken from sand. This can be done one of two ways. Picking up the sand by hand and forming it into shuriken, and then throwing it like normal, or the subtler version of making the shuriken form within a source of sand, and launch themselves. Both versions cost only one point per shuriken created. The first method, throwing them by hand, can be used without handseals, while the other requires a single seal. When creating the shuriken by hand, only a maximum of eight can be created. Four per hand. Otherwise it is up to the user's discretion.

Oh my... I'm spending a lot of chakra on a clone... >.>

Wonder if I should make those cost a specific amount per number instead of one each, since it gets a bit expensive for such a simple jutsu.
