Aly grinned. " Artemis for me. I love Silver the moon and archery and I don't like people hitting on me."

Ares awoke the next morning at a local hospital. The beep beep beeping of a heart monitor nearby was beyond annoying. As the former God of War slowly opened his eyes, the beeping grew louder and louder pounding in time following the rhythm of his pounding headache.

The lights in the room were blurry and it took a moment for him to register that he was lying in what was a hospital room. Despite his head, he lifted himself off in groggy confusion only to find that he was dressed in a hospital gown and attached to an IV.

He ripped the IV from his arm and tossed it aside. "I'm going to kill Hermes," he said to himself thinking at first that maybe the potent wine he drank last night from the Norse probably knocked him out. As a joke, Hermes most likely sent him to a mortal hospital.

He shed his gown and put on his mortal clothes that were folded nicely in a chair beside his bed. As he finished putting on his pants first, then his black t-shirt, the door opened and a nurse walked in the door.

"Oh, wait you haven't been discharged! You were brought in last night from the street with traumatic alcohol poisoning," she said making her way over to him.

"Ummmm...., I'll go get the doctor," she said turning around to rush out the door.

Ares rolled his eyes at the thought. Bringing his finger and thumb together, he snapped to teleport himself immediately to Olympus. As the sound of the snap came though, nothing happened.

He snapped again...

Nothing.

Again...

Nothing.

"What in Hades name?" he said attempting to conjure a sword. When nothing happened, he pushed his way to the door and opened it. Weaving his way through the halls, he found an empty operating room where he managed to procure a scalpel. With a slow motion, he cut into his forearm gently to let the blood flow from the wound. With the cut, came pain as well. Tossing the scalpel aside, he grabbed a bandage and wrapped it around his newly formed cut. He had been on many battlefields already to know how mortals bandaged wounds.

"Mortal," he said angrily. "Damn," he said storming out of the room and towards the hospital lobby to exit.

He made his way outside fuming. Someone was going to pay. How and where, he didn't know yet, but someone would pay.

Alis roamed around Olympus, bored. Where was everyone? Hmph. Probably those Norse people declared a party at the break of dawn or something. She scowled.
Okay, so it wasn't the Norse. Alis had just come across the Valkyries, practicing with their weapons.
"Hello. Who are you? I didn't see you before at the party," one of them asked.
"I'm a minor goddess, I wasn't there. My name is Alisia, call me Alis. I'm the goddess of English teachers and Lewis Carroll's twisted yet deep sense of logic."
The Valkyrie snorted. "Who'd ever heard of that? You're probably not even that powerful. Anyways, what kind of warrior--"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'M NOT THAT POWERFUL?!"Alis roared, and then proceeded to bonk the Valkyrie on the head with her new English textbook.
She hadn't realized there were forty of them.

Poseidon could not find Athena.
"Probably busy nose-deep in a book again.." he grumbled. He trudged past the room where Alis was fighting a loosing battle against a horde of Valkyries. Stopping, he walked back to the room and shouted so loud it was reputedly heard in the Indian Gods realm.
"WHAT IN MY NAME IS GOING ON HERE?"

Loki, as Luke, had been watching the mortal Artemis meet up with a mortal to teach him the lessons of Archery. He thought he recognised the male mortal, but dismissed the male as 'probably being her boyfriend.'. Luke did not start the archery, but pretended that he was here for a friend, who was late and actually would not make an appearance. He'd overheard the stuff about Apollo and Artemis, then decided he'd had enough of pretending to wait. Grabbing a Bow, he promptly shot at the yellow center, then notched another to the bow which, again, hit the yellow center. (He's a show-off). Secretively, he magicked up a spell onto one of the arrows, and when the arrow hit the circle again There was a strange hissing noise from the Archery board.

"That's awesome, you do seem very much like Artemis," Alan had that feeling since he saw her with her bow and arrow. It seemed like if she was wearing a toga or something she could be a statue of Artemis herself.

Aly smiled slightly as she glanced over at Alan and nearly did a double take. For a moment it seemed like she could see him dressed in a Greek Outfit right out of her mythology books holding a bow in one hand and leaning on it and shooting her a grin while he had a lyre tucked under his free arm. " I could easily see you as Apollo. All you need is a Lyre or maybe a guitar for modern day times."

Solarinn woke in a small cage.
"Careful young'un. He's a Dangerous one. One of Niddhogg's breed." he heard a voice, and through an opening in a cage, he saw what appeared to be a human male with a long black bushy beard.
"But Father, he's so little! Can't I keep him as a pet, please?" pleaded another voice this time a younger male.
"No you can't!" said the male. "What would you do if he ate one of the horses in our paddock?"
The boy sniffed. "But you can't just kill him! He's special."
The male voice sniffed. "Special? Hah! You said that about that Snake-tailed cat you found. Nah, We're setting him loose outside Asgard."
"Really?"
"Yep. We're taking him back to his Momma, down at Svartalfaheim."
Suddenly his cage was picked up and Solarinn was bumpily being carried on what smelt like a horse to whoever knew where.

Alan laughed a little thinking of how un-mythical he would look in a toga with his shades on and his guitar case strapped on with stickers of his favorite bands on it. "I dunno if I'm god material."

Aly grinned. " Hey no one said the Gods have to wear Togas anymore. I get the feeling that as soon as something else was created Apollo and Artemis changed to something else. Maybe to hack off their step-mother?" Aly didn't no why but she had never cared much for Hera.

Sophie walked down the street. She had finally decided to leave the Library. But what else was there to do on a perfectly good Saturday besides read? "Maybe I'll try fencing," she murmured. 'No, the don't have any fencing classes. All this town has is an Archery Range, and archery doesn't interest me in the slightest. But maybe I'll go anyway." Satisfied with this, she started off for the Archery range, bringing her bag of books along with her.
She got to the Archery Range. She sat down on a bench and observed them. Something about this sport reminded her of someone...no, two people, siblings...probably something in one of her books. Oh, yeah, Apollo and Artemis. Greek Mythology.
She caught sight of the similar-looking boy and girl at the other end of the Archery Range. Something about them made her want to go talk to them--maybe the girl's interesting silver streaks? She walked over to them.

Aly glanced over and saw someone walking towards them which made her raise an eyebrow. Very few people ever approached her. She decided the girl must not know who she was.

Sophie saw the girl with the silver streaks raise an eyebrow. She raised one back in a gesture of goodwill. "Hello, my name is Sophie," she started. "I am here because I need to engage myself in some kind of conversation and you look like someone interesting to talk to. What is your name?"

" It's Aly and if you're looking for a good conversation look elsewhere. I'm not known for being social. Ask anyone except Alan. I'm social with him. Besides you're using big words that aren't needed. You sound like a walking dictionary." Aly didn't want to talk to this person at all. She was much more interested in her conversation with Alan. She then made a shooing motion at Sophie. " Unless you're gonna do some Archery then shoo."

"Why thank you, that's quite a compliment, 'walking dictionary,'" Sophie said. "Okay, I'm going now." She tugged on the end of her ponytail and walked back into the crowd.

Aly snorted before turning her attention back to Alan. " I have never met someone who thinks being called a walking dictionary is a compliment. Back to what I was saying though I highly doubt Apollo and Artemis wore togas after something else was invented. I think Artemis would prefer breeches when she hunts to a toga."
