Jedi have and always be eccentric. Valin Lobel lived up to it like no other Jedi should be able to. In fact... at times he appeared to just be silly. Perhaps he had just gone off the deep end a long time ago. Or maybe he just found himself utterly amusing.
Either way, the Jedi Knight popped up from behind the bar like how something would spring up out of a jack-in-the-box. Or as if he had been shot out a turbolaser battery. Behind his thick goatee was a friendly, warm smile. However, there was a look in his eyes - a joking manner, as if he was attempting to play a trick on poor Reya...
"Boo," He said as soon as he was upright from behind the bar.

Reya shot right up and grasped the hilt of her sword that was mounted to her back, out of instinct. After a quick glance around the room she noticed just some man she has not met before. She sighed, assuming he was not much of a threat. Still, Reya was cautious to release the grasp on her sword.
"You know, you shouldn't sneak up on people. Especially me, I'm tired."

Valin brought two bottles of hard alcohol up from behind the bar. He smiled warmly, "Sorry about that. I'm just... odd, like that."
The man extended his hand from the long gray sleeves of his Jedi Knight robes. He smiled, "I am Jedi Knight Valin Lobel. Member of the Jedi Order of a galaxy far, far away. I like hard liquor and long walks on the artifical beaches of Coruscant."
He continued with his smile, hoping his apparent goofiness could brighten her day.

Jedi? She thought to herself. What's a Croissant beach? About the only words she knew were hard liquor and knight. Well, since Reya did not want to sound stupid in fron of her silly guest, she went along with Valin and pretended she knew what he was talking about.
Reya met his hand with her own and shook it.
"Oh, you're a member of...that Order. I'm Reya. Sorry about earlier, I've been fighting too much today."

Her confusion was obvious in the Force. It was like a large white stain on a black shirt - about that incredibly obvious to him.
"The Jedi Order is a monastic peacekeeping organization that has been around for about 25,000 years. We adhere to strict lifestyle of humility, self-discipline, and public service. Equally, we seek to reach harmony with a living energy field known as 'the Force'. The Jedi are servants to the 'good' part of the Force - what we term the 'Light Side'."
He paused, letting some of it sink it, "If you want to know more, ask me some time. But anyway, why have you been fighting?"

Reya's mouth was held open, only slightly ajar, while she absorbed the knowledge that Valin was passing onto her. She even nodded from time to time. Finally, Reya addressed his question.
"Well..."
Reya leaned back in her stool and crossed one leg over her other, trying to get to a perfect comfort level.
"I don't know how long you've been here, but you'll realize that all of this establishment's patrons are basically fighters. And me, I've just been the bartender. So - you'll love this part - I figured I'd learn to fight so I at least have something to talk about with the other patrons, I might even spar with them. I'm so excited."

"Oh yes," Valin said with a chucke, "A whole horde of warriors and fighters. Like that fellow named User - he's one interesting guy. And by interesting, I mean 'He'll probably blow up this planet out of sheer boredom'."
He walked around the bar. Valin walked with incredible grace and sureness of any Jedi sure of his commitment to the Force. However, his pace held the preciseness of a well trained warrior - and of that of a man who certainly had been in the military at one point in his life. He took off his dark green cloak, showing off his grey robes, the dark brown tabard made of synthetic leather, and his knee-high black boots. The Jedi sat next to Reya and commanded the Force to fetch him the hard alcohol to slide across the bar and a shot glass to fling into his open - but covered by a leather glove - left hand from across the bar.
The young man poured a shot, "Want some?"

Reya noticed the certain elegance to the way Valin walked. Such men probably weren't at the Club for the fighting, he must have stumpled upon this place by mistake. Nevertheless, Reya took the glass of the (what she assumed was) alcohol from Valin and made a quick scan about the room.
"Well, I really shouldn't, but since no one's looking."
She slowly brought the glass to her nose and, as slyly as possible, smelled whatever it was the glass contained. It didn't smell familiar, but Reya downed it in any case. Her face immediatly puckered up and her nose wrinkled.
"Phew...sooooo, I know you're not here by choice. So, what are you doing? Is this whole Jedi a front? Are you a bounty hunter trying to catch someone? Huh, huh?"
She playfully nudged him.

Valin chuckled as she nudged him, "Why am I here?" He brought his head down, scanning about the room as if they may be being watched.
The Jedi looked at her in all seriousness, "I'm drinking." He then downed his own share of alcohol.
He snorted and twirled about in the chair with a chuckle, then stopped after a single 360 rotation, "I'm here because my ship crashed, and I can't get the poor bird to fly again. So I just stick around her and wave my lightsaber in people's faces who should just leave us alone."
Such as Taliman and that one bounty hunter that almost killed Mr. Deity. He didn't trust them - they didn't feel right in the Force. Taliman was probably 'evil' but the bounty hunter... well... if seemed like he was just doing his job, not exactly pure evil.
Either way - he would watch them, gather information. Jedi could be sneaky, too.

Reya just let Valin be himself, she sat there trying to keep a straight face, but found it harder than her lesson on walking on water. She then placed her foot on the bottom part of the chair that was responsible for making it twirl, making sure he couldn't spin away. Even though it probably just took a little effort to break her hold.
"You said 'us'. Did someone else come with you?"
