A crisp evening breeze gently tugged at the zippers and sleeves of her 'stone' coloured All Saints Galia Mac jacket she'd nabbed off the net for a few hundred dollars before she'd flown to New York. It was a little taste of Europe for her though she'd lived in Australia most of her life. Alanis had been strolling throughout the evening simply feigning being a regular human that was taking her dog for a walk but that wasn't the actual case with her. She was a hunter keeping an eye out on the public. Her dog was trained to locate bad eggs and he just so happened to help her out with the senses in which she lacked. This dog was her companion and one of her life lines to hunting. Of course she could hunt without him but she preferred the company and loyalty.
Trace was a black and tan Doberman Pischer with both his ears cropped and his tail docked. Originally the owners had been planning to sell Trace, as a puppy, to a somewhat sketchy man but when Alanis had come along and fallen in love with him they'd decided she was the better choice. After all, she wasn't as likely to subject him to the life of being a street dog in dog fights. They could tell she would love him and take care of him and while some would argue that her dragging him into this immortal business was cruel of her, Trace enjoyed it. Not to mention it kept him busy and exercised as bonuses.
For convenience sake and strategical purposes, Trace was kept strictly on a harness as opposed to a typical dog collar in case Alanis needed to make a break from him. This also prevented Trace from accidentally being choked in the process of a fight or something else along those lines. He was trained when to take someone down and when to stand down and wait his turn. Alanis had taken him through the canine unit training with the cops over in Australia so he was a certified dog but now he hunted alongside her for the super natural. It sort of reminded her of Scooby Doo but Trace definitely wasn't any Great Dane.
She decided to make a pit stop and leaned against no special building in particular, probably a local business of some sort and brought out a water bottle. Before giving any of the bottle's contents to the dog, however, she smiled at him and commanded him to sit. The dog, being expertly trained, obeyed the moment the words were uttered and sat on his behind in expectation of water but also out of pure instinct as the training had been ingrained within the animal.
"Good boy, Trace! Here. Have some water."
The female hunter smiled as the dog lapped up some water from the bottle and she then deposited it back into her coat pocket and sat down for a bit. She sighed as she resisted the urge to bring out a smoke, which she hadn't had for a while since joining the force. She had to be in peak physical condition and if her lungs gave out she didn't have a whole hell of a lot going for her. It was sad but true but Alanis wasn't too huge in the muscles department so she had to make up for that in both speed and endurance. Now she wasn't a weakling by any means but she definitely wasn't some muscle builder or anything.
With a small sigh the hunter looked down the empty street and turned to her sole companion and smiled. The Doberman had snuggled up beside her, simply laying on the pavement at her side. It was an endearing gesture and he was by no means trying to dominate her or get in her face. He knew his place and respected his master, she'd worked hard to train this pooch and it'd been worth every moment.
"Think we're gonna see anything tonight, pooch?" She asked this while calmly stroking the dog.
The dog responded to the name by simply looking up at his master but beyond that he didn't really respond. A small snort could be heard but it was in response to being pet and addressed as opposed to actually answering a question and Alanis knew this. She always wondered what it'd be like to get inside a dog's head and just examine it. Unfortunately she was just a normie and didn't have any special ESP powers like all those other cool hunters.

As the light finally changed to green, he speed of through the somewhat empty streets swerving through cars as he opened the windows and breathed in the night air. Hmmm I think I should walk He thought to himself before turning into a deserted alleyway. As he exited his car, he whipsered "Defense Systems on" before walking away down the city streets. He enjoyed the peacefullness of just walking and gazing up at the stars.

Victor looks around the streets. It is full of cars and mortals, or atleast the majority of them were. He growls softly in his throught staring at all the humans passing by the tall man. Victor sighed and looked around. Nothing interesting that he could see was happening, so he just kept on walking. Victor didn't like being near these many mortals. Made him nervous that he would turn into his Lycan form and start going into a frenzy of killing, but he kept it under control. 'I need to feed soon...' Victor thought as he passed by a store. He looked inside at the clerk. 'No. It'd be too obvious...' He decided and kept walking
Victor looked down a far way and spotted a male heading into a dark alley way. 'Perfect...' Victor thought. 'I can knock him out and drag him into the abandoned building next to it.' Victor planned as his pace fastened as he walked towards his prey.

(( Sorry. Just ignore this post. I'm going to make Alanis meet someone else. ))
Alanis honestly would have been perfectly content to rest a few moments if the prospect had been at all possible but it seemed that her rest was not meant to be. She'd quietly observed a damned sweet car pull into an uncharted alleyway and saw the man emerge from the alleyway only for another man to quickly follow after him after investigating the alleyway. Her own little sixth sense went off when she saw the man following the first and when Trace's throat began to rumble with something that was between a snort and a growl the Aussie knew that it was time to get up.
"Good boy! Come on, Trace." She exclaimed in her Australian accent slightly mingled with that of an Irish accent.
Needless to say Alanis wasn't the one who'd gotten up first. Her Doberman had beaten her to it. He knew that something was up and her own little weirdo radar going off simply confirmed that she was going to tail the two men for a bit to assure that no one was hurt. Of course she had no idea what she was tailing really since she didn't have a good enough sense of smell to decide between a lycan or a demon or that cool aura sense where she could just decide the difference between a demon and a vampire. She had to be logical and simply assume the worst but seeing as she had Trace's nose along for the ride she could get a read from him.
The Doberman was trained to make a different sound for each possible race they would encounter. Huffing was for a human, barking was for a demon, sneezing on the spot was for a vampire and rumbling within the throat that resembled growling was for lycans. It seemed they had a lycan on their hands, probably the closest in psychology to Trace.
A peaceful resolution was perhaps possible but if necessary Alanis could exert force though compared to a lycan's strength she was punier than a cat trying to beat up a cement wall. She would have to be careful in how she handled this situation or she could end up with a nasty lycan bite or worse. Hopefully this lycan wasn't easy to set off but it was impossible to tell until she got a chance to observe a little. It seemed she wouldn't have the time for that, though and began walking Trace on his harness again.
Her movements were not sudden or alarming. To any observing it would just appear that a woman who'd taken a break from walking her dog was getting up and preparing to walk the dog the rest of their route. There was no harm in that and nothing that was particularly suspicious about it either.
By now Trace had silenced himself as he knew he only needed to make noise when his owner felt it was necessary. Instead he walked beside his master and waited to see what would come of following the bad guy he'd sniffed out. Alanis was rather proud of her dog for picking out the lycan and she'd been swift to reward him with a treat and they were quick to get on their way. She wasn't going to let this lycan harm anyone tonight.

Victor's eyes continued to glare at the mortal walking out of the alley way. He knew he missed his chance but a new one would come soon. Victor was completly oblivious to the person with the dog. His only thoughta were getting a good mea, and killing something along the wayl. His eyes got more red, more blood looking. Victor's teeth got more sharper than before as he continued to glare at the man. 'Control it, for now...' Victor thought to himself, trying to calm down his wolf-self.
Victor watched the man's every movement. If he felt that the man was getting suspicous, he walked a diffrent way and continued to follow him. Every time he turned around, Victor would move in another direction. The man finnaly went through a dark alleyway. The man walked down it and turned left after a long walk, with Victor following him, the anticipation and hunger killing him. The man came to a dead end and sighed. He looked behinde him and saw Victor, glaring at him with his peircing red eyes, dealy fangs, and sharp claws. The man looked at him in utter terror and whimpered. Victor looked up at the moon, which he had tried to avoid seeing, lest he turned into a Lycan in public. His bones cracked, his back got larger and more hunged over, more wolf like. He had completly turned into a Lycan. Victor pounced on the man, no mercy, no remourse in his eyes as he feasted on his prey.

((ENTERS))
Core walked along the usual path she took towards Kara`s apartment . She was flanked by her friends , a blond Psy girl , a friendly Incubus , and a hunter`s child . Her brown hair swayed lightly , and her bangs blew away from her face momentarily , revealing her red eyes . Walking slowly , her bare feet moved gracefully , as did they rest of her body , dressed in a silk top and black skinny jeans . Her vampire nose caught a familiar scent , which was not unusual , except for the fact it was leading towards the place she was headed . She didn`t bother to pay too much mind to it , though .

((Enters)) Kara entered at a run. Sure enough. There were animals all over the area. She sighed. "At least this isn't such a populated area." She said as she looked around the small courtyard. "ENOUGH!!!!" She called out to the angry animalians. "I'm here. So stop." She told them Shade looked up when Kara yelled. *Hm. So you've come to stop us. Well you can't now can you!!* He told Kara spitefully.

((ENTERS))
Core walked silently along the side of buildings , until Kara and a black panther were in her sights . She was just close enough that she could hear them , but they wouldn`t be able to see , smell , or hear her . Kara made a comment , which came across the wind crystal clear , but the animal`s voice was complete code to her . Core swore under her breath . Obviously this would be a one sided conversation , without Travis or Madeline here to help Core .

((Enters)) Vasilissa walked slowly around some corners. She saw a lady hidden away. Hiding from the animals in the courtyard she guessed."Hey Lis, the lady's a vampire." Krissor told her. She nodded and moved closer to the girl. "Hey. Hiding from the Animalians? Mrs. Vamp." Lissa asked the girl nicely while staying quiet.

Kara cursed. "Shade. Stop. You didn't used to be like this. Go back to normal." She told her brother slowly. Shade sneered. *No way. I like being like this. Besides you gave up being a leader. So we have to find someone else to lead us.* Shade told her sharply. "So basically your running around like maniacs and scaring humans who know nothing about the supernatural life. Smart Idea. That'll get you a leader fast." She said meanly.

((Oh Vasilissa is a hunter. Krissor is listed in that area as well if you read enough)) Lissa backed up. She nodded and put a finger to her mouth. She understood."Hey Krissor, what's the panther sayin?" She asked her friend. He puffed up and then turned to Lissa. "The panther is just taunting the fact that the girl isn't the leader and can't tell them what to do." Krissor told Lissa and the strange vamp next to her.
