Actually, there's quite a bit in the military side of steampunk as well. But it tends to be rather hard to find at times. But the potential is very great.

Greetings and salutations, everybody. I go by Kitty, however you'll more often see the name Volatile or Chali. I'm an aspiring fiction writer and frequent role-player. Steampunk is a recent fascination of mine, so I'm very pleased to be joining all of you.

Hello to you all. In retrospect I ought to have chosen a more reasonably Human name for my account, but I'm Kaghuros. Been a Steampunk enthusiast since before I knew it had a name. I'm a casual writer of fiction and poetry, and a roleplayer in almost every setting. I definitely look forward to getting into more Steampunk storylines in the future.

Hello, my name is Edward, which is mildly apparent from my user name (Though I imagine I could be Edwin, Eddy, or Edwardo) In anycase I am pretty new to steampunk, very new. In fact the first time I even heard of it was when I stumbled upon this guild and looked it up on Wikipedia. So, I guess I have heard of it, but never called that name or anything. . .I am rambling and off topic. Where was I. . .oh yeah, my user name which is a meant to make fun of this ridiculous woman who I seen on a television commercial, for wrestling. She calls herself, "The Glamazon" which is the perfect combination of beauty and strength. (She looked like a Swedish Christiana Applegate) totally ridiculous. Any way, at that point I named myself Edazon, the perfect combination of fierce and, well I'm working on it.
With that out of the way I am here mostly to find some sort of shelter from Gaia and all it has become lately.
Here is a list of somethings I enjoy: Music, Opera, History, Reading (though I don't do enough of it), writing, World of Warcraft, my beautiful daughter Arabella (who is a dog), Opera (again), More Opera, and sleeping.
I like talking and I like people, most of the time.

Hello everyone!
I'm 17, soon to be entering an art school.
[Media arts+animation, but I'm also a photographer and musician~]
I was so excited to find a Steam punk guild here!
I'm new to Gaia, I've been here for only about a week, so it's nice to find some people with some of the same interests/hobbies as me :]
I love the history and fashion of steampunk culture.
I've developed a hobby of collecting watch parts and making steampunk inspired jewelry.
I'm trying to spread the fascination of steampunk around to everyone I know!

My name is Robyn, if you so choose to call me that. I am almost 17, and plan to go to university right after high school to study Archaeology...and have been secretly in love with Steamy fashions for ages and ages. My interests in the clothings most fall in the Victorian england era...(and I have half an unfinished bustled dress in my closet! ^^ )
My clothing collection, however, is dismal. I'm working on it! Its a pleasure to meet you all.

Howdy everyone.
I'm Autumn, I'm a college student majoring in architecture. I'm also pretty new to this whole culture. I kind of fell in love with the jewelry, which got me to wondering the culture behind it. I do artwork on the side from drawing, to knitting, and I'm starting to play with metal, learning to solder and wire wrap, and I also used to write, but I'm lazy and it's hard to find time sometimes or someone to write with...I also play World of Warcraft, but I'm quitting because I'd rather spend my time doing things more productive, like....taking a walk. I'll still talk WoW with you though if you want ;').

Greetings.
I am most thankful for the creation of this guild and hope to be of some benefit to it.
I have been into Steampunk for a while now and find it's stylings very intriguing. Being a mechanic and industrial worker, I am always working around machines and have found a true love for them. Since Steampunk has been developed around my favorite era and machines, I had no choice but to go with it.
But enough of that, allow me to introduce myself. I am James, known as Sako to many. I am currently studying political science and the world of government. I have taken a liking to the teachings of National Socialism and follow it's ideals with the upmost passion. I am always tinkering with something and have built many a machine myself. I am an apprentice gunsmith as well and have many a fine antigue to call my own.
Brief yes, but i suppose you would become bored if I went on.

Hello guilds' mates. The name is Alexander, Alexander Wolf, and I don't mind it being shortened to Alex. That is, however, a steampunk alias of mine, my legal name is of no importance. I am 17, considering an art major after graduating high school, and for the past year and a half I have found myself quite fond of this marvelous neo-Victorian subculture most often referred to as Steam Punk. Hullo all.
I am called many things but mostly I go by Jac. (don't ask... long story)
Anyway, I've been into steampunk fasion since I started dressing myself. Of course I had no idea there was a title for my many layers of brown to black, corsets, buckles, resewn clothing, top hats, and boots. For many years I traveled under the misnomer of Goth, but never fit comfortably in the Goth cubby hole. My favorite color is brown, not black, I love pocketwatches and hybrid fantasy sci-fi a.k.a. Steampunk novels. I have a love for adventure and sunlight, and I'm a dog person, with a deeply engrained enimity with cats. I love classicaly trained singers, violins, and rock all blended together. So Goth I was mostly not. Then a while ago, I stumbled upon the remarkable discovery that Steampunk was not just a story genre. People actually identified with it as a culture. Thenceforth I was home.
I'm 17 (18 in about five days).
I can usually be found reading a book up in a tree.
I sew things and am going to art school next year for illustration.

Im 16 and recently got into steampunk scene from califur 08.I write on occasion and RP when I can.
I first started listening to Abney Park and lately Dr.Steel....and may become a toy soldier.

Want to know about me? Okay, I'm a 17 year old boy, who constantly wishes he was born a girl. I was born in raised in California, although I use British English rather than American English for no other reason than the fact that I can. In religious matters I am an eclectic Pagan. I think the best things ever are music, military history, the French (I REALLY need to learn French), tabletop role playing games like World of Darkness and Dungeons and Dragons, and steampunk.
