Wasting no time, Henna darted towards the door, quickly turned the handle and threw the door open. Inside, on a table, were his Poke'balls, the 6 he normally carried with him, and his bag. He headed towards the table, anxious and a bit worried that the Poke'mon here in the room, weren't his. But after picking one ball up, he felt a bit of familiarity in it, and almost knew who was inside of it.
Eric, entered the room as well, ducking his head under the more than ample doorway, and began to speak, "About your Altaria-".
Henna tossed the Poke'ball into the center of the room, and Cygnas' well known form began to materalize. When the white light that signaled the appearance of a Poke'mon being released faded, Cygnas let out a shrill of happiness in her high-pitched voice and flew the short distance to her trainer. Her appearance shocked Henna, here she was, black and silver now, when he could remember her, redder than a smoldering hot flame.
"Ah yes, you did have to pick that one," Eric commented.
"What the heck happened to her?" Henna looked up surprised. One of his hands instinctively began to caress Cygnas' head, lovingly.
"We're not sure exactly. She just kind of changed one day. When my staff put her away a few weeks ago, she was bright red, pretty than any red ruby the earth could create, and then the next, she silver with black onyx wings. We have no idea, I'm sorry." Eric's head bowed in apology and he sighed.

"Hey don't feel bad," Henna suddenly felt sorry for the man. "It really wasn't your fault." And in truth, it wasn't. This man had taken him in for Arceus knows how long, cared for his Poke'mon, and shells, even taken care of him, and didn't take anything, or has yet to ask for anything in return. "It's the same Poke'mon, so don't feel bad about it. Cygnas is still the same way I remember her. Cheery and loud." Henna noticed the man's posture picked up a little and he felt better. Eric wasn't really to blame.
"Well, still, I'm sorry about it happening," he continued on. "I've a few things to give you, even though I'm not a trainer myself. I frequently get gifts of items, Poke'mon and other assorted goods, and because I know you're itching to go back out onto the road again, like most workaholic trainers, I'll go get them." He turned and left back into the room that Henna had met the man, and began making noises that sounded like the rustling of papers and other items, drawers opening, mumbling and the like.
Henna snatched the other Poke'balls possessively, and returned Cygnas to hers, placed them on his belt, grabbed his bag, slung it over his shoulder and stepped into the den, as it seemed, and shut the door behind him. Remembering, Henna closed the door that he had originally come out of and patiently waited the few spare moments that Eric took to get everything he needed.

Eric returned to Henna, holding a few things that Henna could identify, a few Technical Machines, a small bag of what looked to be like bottles, and a piece of paper. "Here, I'd like you to have these. It's not much, but-"
Henna quickly cut off and laughed, "I'm the one that should be paying you and thanking you immensely for picking me up off the street and taking care of me and my charges."
Smiling, Eric just laughed as well, "You're right, but there's no need. I'm gonna take a wild guess that you would do the same for someone who had experienced the same thing as you did. But take these, they've little use to me, seeing as I don't raise Poke'mon at all." He passed the small bag to Henna and asked, "Is there anything you don't need or want? If not I'll take them back and find something more suitable."
"No! This is plenty for someone who freeloaded off of you for so long." Embarassed, Henna ducked his head.
Waving his hand in dismiss, Eric just shrugged it off. "I don't mind. I really didn't mind. It was nice to have some company that wouldn't sit there and talk your ear off about arranged marriages, sums of money, and could just listen to you, for a change." Eric passed the Tms and deposited them in the bag as well, silencing Henna with his hand when he began to protest. "I won't hear it. You're going to take these, as well as what I'm about to give you." In addition to the items that Eric was holding when Henna saw him, he pulled out of his pocket four Poke'balls. "These are yours as well. I don't mind Poke'mon as guests when there's a trainer with them, but I've too much to do to raise them myself. These were gifts, so don't worry about troubling me about them." He put them in the bag as well, and sealed it shut.
Baffled, Henna wasn't sure whether to get down on his knees and thank the man by kissing his feet, or punching him square in the face for expecting all of this to be free and Henna to take it silently. "Here at least let me pay you for some of it," Henna reached for his wallet in his bag, remember that there were some bills in there.
"No," the taller man shook his head, obsidian hair not moving, "I won't take it. It's not a bother, and one last thing."
The redhead looked up at the other man, and gave him a quizzical stare Smiling that capturing smile, Eric handed him the last thing he had brought for the trainer, a piece of folded up paper. "It's my Poke'nav number. If you ever need help, or anything at all, just call me and I'll do what I can."

"That I can take with no issue," Henna said while grabbing the paper and shoving it in his pocket. He took the red bag, felt from the feel of it, and placed it carefully in his backpack, not risking damaging anything. "Are you really sure, you won't take anything for these?"
Chuckling, Eric nodded. "I won't. Except maybe friendship and some company from time to time. Most people don't stay here in Canalave long, and aside from the tourists who want to see Iron Island, we don't get much in the way of visitors. Even the tourists are sparse. And like I said, the normal people that I end up socializing with are a bore," sighing, he turned and looked over at Henna, "Shall we leave then? I'll see you to the town limits, at the very least."
The trainer shook his head, giggling, and stepped forward. "It would be my honor to be escorted by a man of your caliber to the city limits." Henna extended his arm, as if a lady waiting for her escort.
Roaring out in laughter, not expecting this response from the redhead, Eric took the arm, playing his part. They walked through the very well furnished home, couches, chairs, tables, sofas, wall hangings, all of exquisite taste and most likely a large price tagged attached to each one, to judge from the style everything was in.
The two men reached the front door, the heavy oaken door a beautiful deep brown, a small round window etched into it and paused. "Hold on a moment, have to get something, it's a bit chilly outside right now," Eric said, removing his arm from Henna's and opened the closet nearby to get his coat and boots, both of which were black, nearly the same shade as his hair. Donning the coat and slipping and sealing the clasps on his boots, Eric stood up, "You ready now?"
Henna replied, "But of course, kind sir." Eric looped his arm back through Henna's and said, hand on the doorknob, "You do realize that if we go out there like this, people'll will think-how shall I put this-, different of us?"
Rolled, yellow eyes scoffed at that, almost daring Eric to turn that. "I've gotten used to it, trust me. Let's just carry on. It's been awhile for me since I've seen the outdoors and been able to move about." With everything said, Eric turned the doorknob and swung open the heavy door with ease, and motioned for Henna to go first.{{Side note: They're not flirting! xP Well, at least Henna isn't. >.>;}}

If what she remembered from their childhood was still true, then the blonde boy was terrified of water. Felix growled in irritation as he frantically looked for hints of pink and blue. That old geezer had made him lose track of Crissy and Joyce! The boy contemplated going back and giving then old man a piece of his mind, but that would only give him less chance of finding the girls.
The meowth hybrid realized that he was hissing faintly the closer he got to the docks, and subsequently, the water. He quickly put an end to that, though he could feel his ears flatten tight to his skull underneath his hat. He scanned the ships at rest as quickly as he could. The sooner he found which one Crissy and Joyce were on the sooner he could try and distract himself from the fact that he was willingly getting on a boat, surrounded by millions and millions of gallons of water, for a trip much longer than the one to Iron Island, and when he departed he would be on another island. Dammit! Stop thinking about it!

Apparently Midnight and Nightshade got up to some tricks that sent two pokemon to you in exchange for Coal and Coulett. I'm not sure who they sent yet. 'Cuz of their tricks the sender on this end isn't working well right now, so it would be best for you not to send the two back right away since we won't be able to send you anything in return. We'll get it fixed as soon as possible!'Crissy sighed and sent a quick thank you back to her brother. "I wonder who got sent?" she asked aloud, and then shook her head. It wouldn't matter, really. As the ship drew nearer to Canalave, Kaya began fidgeting with his Poketch. "When did a Porygon get into my Poketch?" he asked himself, trying to get the Virtual Pokemon to come out again.
"System reboot: 100% complete."
Kaya's hand shot back at the voice. "Wha-?"
"Greetings master. Linux at your service!"
"Um...Linux?" Kaya asked as he held his wrist closer to him.
"This one's designation is Linux-597014-XN5. What is Master's designation?"
Kaya finally understood what the Pokemon was saying after a moment. "Oh...Linux is your name. Mine is Kaya."
"Excellent! Linux is glad to meet Kaya."
"Why are you living in my Poketch, Linux?" the once-prince asked, curious.
"This one cannot maintain form for longer than one quarter of an earth-cycle outside of cyberspace. Kaya's data device is most hospitable to this one's needs."
"You...can't what?" Kaya asked, his brain frying from Linux's cyber-talk.
"Hmmm...Linux must consult his data files for a moment. Please hold." The voice stopped for a moment or two as Linux 'consulted his files'. Finally, it returned. "This one cannot live for longer than 6 hours unless it is in cyberspace. Is this easier for Kaya to comprehend?"
"Much. Thank you." Kaya responded as he mulled over Linux's revelation. "Ok then...I suppose you're welcome to live in there as long as you don't wreak havoc on my Poketch's usefulness."
"Linux would never harm Kaya's files. Linux wants to be helpful. Perhaps it can upgrade Kaya's data device?"
"Um...Hold off on that for a while. I wanna think about it for a bit before I say yes or no."
"Very well. Is that all Kaya requires from Linux?"
"Yes. That's all for now."
"Alright. Linux will enter Standby mode. If Kaya requires Linux services again, he only needs to speak Linux name. Linux is a voice activated program. Goodbye."
Kaya went quiet for a moment. This would take some getting used to. Admittedly, a Porygon in his Poketch might be useful later, should he ever have a need to access a computer.

Brayden had looked over to Kaya's seat when he heard the voice of the Porygon. He watched the exchange, slightly amused, but kept out of the conversation. Looked like Kaya easily had things under control.
"Linux seems like quite the character," Brayden chuckled, once the Porygon had settled back into the Poketech. Caliga had come out from under the bench to investigate, sniffing the Poketech curiously. Opting it not a threat, she trotted over to the railing, enjoying the seabreeze as the ship neared the docks of Canalave. Rising so her front paws were on the railing, Caliga watched the dock area with mild curiosity. The boats seemed almost like Combee around their hive, but one could pick out an order among the seemingly chaotic activity of the port.
"Back in Canalave," Brayden mused, following the Umbreon's attention. He recognized the library farther up the coast of the city, along with the trademark bridge that joined the two sides of Canalave.
"Been a while, but we spent quite a bit of time here last time we were in town," Brayden smiled. The water trainer reached over to grasp Kaya's hand lightly, careful not to disturb the sleeping Deryn in the process.

As Caliga watched over the railing, she noticed something beneath her on the deck. A Glameow sat, hissing its ire to the world. Somehow it had apparently gotten stuck on board, and being surrounded by ocean for so long was making it pretty on edge.
Caliga hopped down from the railing, watching the cat curiously, but the Glameow apparently found that insulting. The feline spat, launching itself at Cali, clawing madly at the Umbreon.
Caliga hopped back, launching a Psychic at the Glameow, hoping to deter the cat, but that only made it more miffed. The frantic Pokemon charged, using a Faint Attack. Caliga took the hit, before using a Last Resort. Hopping as she snagged the Glameow by the tail, Cali launched the feline down onto the lower deck of the ferry. Now it was someone else's problem, she figured, stretching, as she sat watching the water once again.

Kaya nodded to his partner, letting out a sigh of exasperation. "Indeed it is...." he replied as he took his lover's hand in his own, not arguing in the slightest.
Seemingly looking out over the sea, the man nodded. "It has been a while, hasn't it?" he agreed at Brayden's comments. "Reminds me of several places we've been together before. Seems we've spent a lot of time all over the world, but this time we're going somewhere new." he pointed out.
"It's a nice change of pace to be going somewhere new without the purpose of doing more than enjoying ourselves, isn't it?" he inquired, feeling it as the ship came to rest, docking in the port at long last.
"I think, as much as I like having Mian with me, that I'll leave him at the mansion with Naofa and the kids. Deryn seems to like him. And I've fallen horribly behind in training Loki." the man thought aloud, wanting to reconnect with his long neglected starter. The Sceptile could really use some training up these days.

"Definitely been a while," Brayden concurred, watching the ferry come to dock, "And I agree with you on that one. Its nice to simply go somewhere new, just for the sake of enjoying it. No disasters, no intense plan. Just exploring a new place for fun," he smiled.
Brayden nodded in easy understanding about Kaya's comment about Loki, "I know. I have to say, it feels weird not having Cye with me now. I think sometimes the bonds you share with your starter are stronger. They've been with you since the beginning, you know? Back when I sucked as a trainer, and could barely fill a team to battle with. Cye's been there through it all. It just seems kind of off without having him in my team, but there are a lot of other Pokemon I need to be training now. Especially if we need to be preparing for whatever's to come."
"Hey, Cali, come on, time for us to get to land," Brayden called the Umbreon, who nodded silently, returning from the railing where she had been watching the Glameow take out its ire on the patrons below deck. Brayden rose, making his way off the ship. Once he was back onto the docks, Brayden waited for Kaya. He pulled up the map application on his Pokegear in the meantime, getting his bearings. He still wasn't too accustomed to the Sinnoh region, but he felt fairly confident that he could get to where he needed to be with the map.

As Kaya followed Brayden off the ship, he found his ears assaulted by an earsplitting gurgling shriek followed by a blast of water to his face. "Hoshi-!" he grabbed for a Pokeball as another blast silenced his exclamation. He'd stepped on a Shellos by mistake as he departed and it was not a happy camper.
"Tin! Come on!" the man cried as he released the Elekid. "Thunderpunch!" he cried hurriedly. "Beeee!" the Electric type cried as he whirled his arms, delivering an intense energized punch to the Water type.
The Shellos, being the evil sea slug that it was, hawked a giant muddy blob at the baby Pokemon challenging it.
"Beeeeee!" Tin cried the Ground attack slammed into him, coating his form in gooey gunk. "Bee beeeee!" whirling his arms again, he delivered another intense punch, this time unsticking the slimy slug from the docks and launching it out into the canal.
Oncer certain the Shellos was done in and he was no longer in danger of another impromptu shower, he rushed to Brayden's side, wiping mud off Tin as he did. It was difficult to hold Deryn and clean up his Pokemon at the same time but he managed, somehow. "Let's get moving before I get another run through a car wash." he laughed, hoping Brayden wouldn't be put off by his seemingly being in a rush now.

Brayden winced as Kaya took the jet of water to the face, "Sorry, I didn't see it either until you had stepped on the Shellos," he apologized, "But I'm all for moving on," he agreed, leading the way for the group through town. Once they had marched across the bridge, Brayden could navigate his way towards the eastern side of Canalave without any problems. He passed the Pokecenter, and the strange inn that always seemed to be locked, and headed south.
Soon enough, he spotted the route that led further east towards Jubilife. He navigated carefully through the tall grasses, trying to avoid further mishap. Caliga trod equally as carefully, tailing Bray until they met with water.
"You have someone you can ride to the other side with, right?" Bray questioned Kaya. He recalled seeing Kiss and Aoi earlier at the cafe. Brayden recalled Caliga for now.
Bray chose Sai to transport him, although he let out Mac and Luc, his first line of business being to apologize to the Magikarp for their earlier meeting. He figured the fish hadn't really appreciated being tossed onto the Pokecenter carpet without warning...
The Magikarp simply stared blankly back at him, making Bray wonder if it had even registered the apology. But a moment later Luc dove underwater, leaving that question still up in the air, so Bray focused instead on the path in front of him.
Taking off his boots and tucking them into his bag, and subsequently rolling up the legs of his pants to keep them out of the way, Brayden waded out into the water.
"Woo, Sinnoh really is a whole lot cooler than the other regions, huh?" he laughed, taking a moment to get used to the water.
Sai splashed in front of him, waiting. Once Brayden had gotten used to the slightly chilled water, he took hold of the Vaporeon, as he eased through the water in a steady glide. Mac would dart out in front, playing with the local water types. And Luc... Brayden wasn't sure where Luc was, but every once in a while he'd catch a glimmer of golden scales.

Kaya laughed easily at Brayden's apology. "Tin needed the battle experience anyway. I'm hoping he'll evolve into an Electabuzz sooner rather than later. If I ever get my hands on an Electrizer, I'm going to evolve him into an Electivire." he admitted, following the younger male with ease.
Noticing the small river that separated the port town from "the heart of Sinnoh", he smiled to himself. "Ya, I've got Kiss. I'll stick with her over Aoi any day. That Metang's totally unpredictable." he replied to Bray's inquiry, calling Tin back to his ball as he released Kiss. "Hey there girl. Can you give me and the baby a ride across?" he asked, pointing to the water. "Tooogiiii!" she chirruped in response, ducking low so the man could climb onto her back.
Still not used to the fact that he had a very strange Porygon, who liked referring to itself in the third person, living in his Poketch, he kept lancing at it, curious about the Pokemon's existence. He should be able to reprogram the Pokemon's coding to enable it to live outside more often...or he would be able if he could see.
Either way, he put it out of his mind as Kiss carried himself and Deryn into Jubilife.
