Tomb's head snapped back the other way as Khamsyn praised the God of Scribes. Tomb's thin lips cracked apart in a strange expression, part coldness, part hollow and part passionate. It might take someone a moment to register the brief contortion as a smile. As if realizing that the expression didn't belong on his face it faltered and faded. Still, he had shown as much open approval of Khamsyn as he was likely ever to in that brief moment. "Nabu be praised indeed. I am Tomb, as you have so astutely deciphered." The voice was dead as usual, but the eyes remained bright and watchful. He looked back and forth between the two of them for a few silent moments, reading them as if they themselves were volumes of knowledge. "Titan was a Familiar. If he was not always of such a massive size he has certainly grown to it now." Tomb raised the book again and levelled it flat for them both to see. "I was hoping for a record here...Titan, Titan... Ah, here: 'Owner: Greithos; Shard: Golden Age; Protocol: Defender; Statistics: Moderate Cognizance, Moderate Speed, Extremely High Durability, High Strength; Note: Titan's Height and Weight were volatile as he was an unprescendented creation combining Greithos's previous 12 attempted Golems with his thirteenth, and latest, called Dione. The result was the highly powerful Titan, able to change form in battle and split itself apart to form thirteen seperate working smaller Golems, each with independant skills and aptitudes. Titan is still considered one of the greatest achievements in Empyrean Magic to date. Unfortunately, the components of Titan's make-up disintigrated without its master's will to hold them cohesive, and their Shards began splitting off from the solid masses of the components. No more is known about the aftermath of this disintigration, as they all fell to the earth and scattered into the ground before a single piece could be collected.'" Tomb trailed off. While his reciting voice left much to be desired, sounding more like a mechanical recording than a living person, his pronunciation was crisp and his facts delivered promptly. He squinted and raised his face to the shelves before him, deep in thought.

Khamsyn listened intently was Tomb explain a lot about Titan. He knew a little about Golem Crafting from when Raelyn tutoring him privately, but he didn't remember her saying anything about being able to combine golems. Obviously such a thing was possible, but he'd never, until this day, heard of anyone doing it. How common was it? Was it common at all? These are questions he might have to take to Raelyn or one of the other golem crafters directly, because he didn't necessarily think Tomb would know off hand. "So Titan fell apart, but obviously has retained something of it's original programming if it is now resurfacing. But Greithos is gone, and with no master, what drives Titan now. What purpose does he try to fulfil? Khamsyn pondered out loud, not really talking to anyone but himself. He shook his head, no answers coming to his from his own thoughts. His gaze went past Tomb to Belwen and he smiled, shaking his nerd trance away. "This whole situation is a lot bigger and harder to concieve of than I had thought. I'm truly at a loss for what to think, let alone what to do."

Listening to Tomb read she frowned slightly in thought, so the golems broke apart once their creator died. "Well ...without any programming and having just resurfaced. I'm guessing that Titan is like a blank sheet, just waiting for someone to give it new commands...though I'm guessing that whoever would give it commands would have to have some sort of knowledge to be able to make them actually take." Belwen shrugged slightly after speaking she had a feeling the two she was talking to likely knew better then she did, though the whole ideas of golems were looking pretty interesting to her.

"Hopefully they have someone that has worked with similar instances of golem creation working on this...so hopefully Titan can be gotten back before someone else gets to it." After that she sighed gently, really she didn't have any answers of it and it her uneasy; a huge or at least a seemingly huge thing she really could do nothing about.

Tomb was rigid and still in thought as the two Phlegamtics spoke their opinions. At last he murmured to himself, so softly it was almost hard to tell if he was speaking at all. "I may not be a master of Golem creation, but I have gone through the efforts of design and had one crafted by Euphrasia." He paused then, and took in a shallow rattling breath. "I had never heard tell of anyone potent enough to fuse golems together once they had already been born. I was under the impression all design and programming had to be done in the incubation phase. If this Greithos has...double-incubated them, or actually gone to the effort of programming in to each one as it grew its co-operative purpose, then he truly was an Empyrean to be reckoned with. An Empyrean of that skill would have left something behind in his creations to enable this turn of events. The question is - What?" Tomb fell silent again, eyes narrowed to near slits and frowning ominously with the repercussions of his train of thought. Then he roused himself. "Perhaps if I can find out who actually Incubated his Golems they might have copies of his plans. Perhaps, like me, he merely designed them, but contracted the job out to a qualified Incubation Technician. Ea knows that with a job of this detail, you would have zero room for error."

Khamsyn had hit a dead end when he'd found out that Titan was a golem, a very special one, but a golem none the less, and what his purpose had been. It kind of creeped him out that someone could create such a thing and build into it safeguards so that it would continue to exist after it's master ceased to. If that was indeed the case. But when Tomb mentioned tracking down the technician who incubated the golem, his curiousity was renewed and invigorated. "Does it say there who incubated the golem? Or do we even keep records of such things?" He asked of the rather odd Tomb. He would suggest going to see Euphrasia, but as a Zero he couldn't leave the White District. And since Euphrasia's shop was outside of the White District, he was stuck. "It stands to reason that Euphrasia would know who incubated Titan and all his constituate forms. But of course you already know that." Khamsyn felt at a loss for what to do. Him and Belwen had hit a wall, not because they didn't know how to proceed, but because they couldn't legally follow that avenue. It left Khamsyn slightly depressed, but something nudged the back of his mind and brought a slight smile to his face. He knew how he could find an answer without leaving the White District, but it was going to take some preparation to pull off. And he'd likely need Belwen's help. Once they were alone, he'd fill her in. If this worked, it would literally be divine.

Belwen frowned thoughtfully listening, this golem or these golems were left with some program or something to finish after their creator was dead. Shifting from one foot to another thoughtfully she considered some before speaking, "Well if you can't find anything about it, the only other route I could see really would be to find out about the Empyrean himself. Knowing more about who he was might give us an idea what he would have left behind in his golems." Belwen shrugged slightly, it wasn't the best route and not even very direct and likely would be fruitless but if there was no other clues information finding might need to go a whole other direction.

She moved back and took a moment to rest against the bookcase afterall she was pretty sure there wasn't more she could add to the whole conversation.

"Indeed." Tomb replied shortly. And as if their comments had completed some silent inner monologue he stalked off into the recesses of the Library without a second glance or look behind him. He was so bent to his purpose that he'd completely tunnel-vision, and he almost had the look of a carrion bird, long legs striding sharply, elbows bent out at sharp angles as he had his arms wrapped around the thick tome he'd been reading from, head thrust forward on the end of his long neck as he stared forward looking for something among the endless records.

User Image Cyphr made his shuffling way to the back of the Library where the media centre was with a box in his hands. The thin leather case had simple black stitching on it describing the title. Cyphr slowly pronounced it out, "Pr...in...ce of Per...see...ah. Two Thrones. Hrm. Gravelet recommended it for my 'learnin' style'..." Cyphr spoke to himself dubiously and arrived at the console construct he needed. He inserted the jeweled disc into the open mouth of the contraption and stared, amazing as the flaring lights and sparks of magic forced the game to begin, images flashing onto a curved glass screen. As the cut scene began Cyphr stared in awe as a leather-clad man who reminded him vaguely of Gregor whipped about on screen cutting Mara-looking monsters to shreds. Impressed, Cyphr picked up the controller and gingerly tested a few buttons. The Menu screen came up at his touch. "Start New Game." Cyphr spoke at the screen, and with a click and whir the lights flashed from yellow to red as the game loaded, then as the screen cleared the lights went green, and Cyphr's first hands-on lesson began.

((sorry for dumping this here, it's the end of his monologue post~))

User ImageKhamsyn turned to face Belwen once the creepy, but intriguing, Tomb had left. He motioned for her to move closer, like what he was about to say was a secret he was choosing to reveal to her. Once she was within whispering distance, he started. "The way I see it, we have two options. We can follow the same path as Tomb is and possibly go see Euphrasia about trying to figure our who incubated Titan." He paused looking around, acting even more cloak and dagger, though he was grinning slightly at his own dramatic antics. "Or... I have another way of finding information. It'll only work for one question, but the answer recieved will be accurate and truthful. The thing is, I may need your assistance for it." He raised his eyebrows and exhaled deeply. He'd never tried what he was planning before, but in theory it should work. Still, if Belwen opted for the first option, he'd go along with it and maybe try the other later. "Unless you have an idea I have overlooked?"

Belwen looked after Tomb a long moment as he moved off to the back of the library, pretty but strange...one of the strangest Empyreans she had met so far she decided. She looked over to Khamsyn a moment thoughtfully her curiosity peaked a bit at his second suggestion but she paused a moment considering. "Well...likely wouldn't do to have too many trying to talk to Euphrasia at once. And well truthfully I'm sort of curious of what you might have in mind." She grinned a bit watching Khamsyn, "so what exactly do you have in mind?"

Really the whole thing sort of had her loss and she couldn't help but feeling as if anything they uncovered the ones that actually could go do something about it already knew.

"I do not know if you heard me praise Nabu earlier, but he is a god of scribes in the Mesopotamian pantheon I worship. In fact, you could call him my patron god of that pantheon." He began, knowing he might sound a little like a crackpot, but hoping Belwen would understand at least somewhat. "Anyways, one of Nabu's blessings allows me to ask him one question. Just one question, which he will answer with all his vast wealth of knowledge. I propose coming up with a really good, really poignant question and then ask him. This way, we might be able to get knowledge no one else has. Or at least knowledge no one would normally share with us." He sighed and knit his brow. This was the part he might need her help with. "The problem is, I need to pray and earn a certain degree of karma before I can attempt it. And since we only have a very short window of opportunity here, time being of the essense, I wouldn't normally be able to focus on prayer AND come up with the perfect question. I need your help to think up the question and even perhaps help prepare me for my prayers." He didn't outwardly ask if she would help him, but simply waited and tried to judge her reaction to all of this. There was a good possibility she might not want to help. After all, Nabu wasn't her god. Still, if it got them the answers they needed...

She tilted her head somewhat curiously listening to Khamysn's request. It sounded like an interesting way to go about things, but just one question seemed like a really hard time frame to put it into. As for the god...she didn't doubt it and believed it based purely on the fact that Khamsyn seemed faithful, plus really what did they have to lose?

After a few moments of consideration she nodded, "well I'm not sure exactly what sort of question you would be looking for..." frowning slightly she considered another moment, "if it's too general the answer may not be helpful the same if it is too specific." She sighed gently, "what sorts of things do you have to do to get your karma up?" Her voice hinted at her curiosity now that Khamsyn had brought it up she really did want to know all of what he had in mind. She just hoped that if they were going to do this she'd actually be of aid with it.

"Well, the best way to get the needed karmic influx I would require would be to anoint myself with the colour gold, add the spirituality mandala upon myself and pray directly to Nabu. Which would likely require me to illuminate my question upon a scroll, making sure it was top notch, then burning it as a sacrifice to Nabu." He paused, looking to Belwen. The more he explained, the less of a good idea it seemed to him. Perhaps it was best to just leave it alone for now. Besides, what question could they ask that would be the most benefit to the city? How do we retrieve Titan? Will the Outsiders get him first? Khamsyn frowned. "One question isn't enough. Not when we still don't know everythign we're dealing with. Perhaps we should wait until later, when more has bee revealed and we're truly at a dead end. I think whatever answer we recieved then would be of greater impact." He looked to Belwen silently asking if she agreed.

Belwen nodded slightly, it sounded rather complicated and well they'd need a really good question.

"I think it's a good idea, do we need to gather anything for the actual question asking? And....well I can help attempt to come up with a question." Might be difficult but perhaps it would actually work.

Smiling slightly Belwen nodded, "I'm ready, we should get heading out and get things figured out if we are going to do this...don't want to waste time."

Nadyrr moved along in the library, shifting his gaze over the various other students he offered quick smiles and nods to those he recognized. Looking over the various shelves he sighed slightly before moving over to find the book directory. After a few moments of searching he was attempting to move as quickly as he could he discovered where the crafting books were.

Frowning thoughtfully he looked over the various crafting texts. After a bit of searching he pulled a book from the shelf. The text didn't look overly impressive but it claimed to be, "the delightful candlecrafter's guide". There didn't seem to be many more options when it came to candles.

Taking a few more moments Nadyrr looked along the shelf his eyes pausing on a book called, "Creating your own cone incense". Considering some of the plants he'd been researching Nadyrr snatched that book up as well. Looking over the two books he realized these two along with the third he was wanting to look for would likely be the most books he's ever picked up from the library.

The book on chakras was more easy to come across, as it was considered one of the books for Rhetoric. He took several moments to search through the various books before chosing, "Chakras and their related properties," he decided on that one because it spoke of Chakras having related gems - which was the information he was looking for.

Moving toward the desk Nadyrr produced his selection, watching the books thoughtfully as he does.
