my parents hate lp bcuz they say all they do is scream.....but even though they say they hate them...they do like songs like numb,breaking the habit (my dad really likes that one) and my decmber. so i guess it chould be worse...

Its ALOT worse if they hate rap and screaming. I know its not rap cuz I hate rap, but to my dad, some songs sound like rap, like most of In the End.

i know how it feels my parents are the same, they say that they are just screaming and say nothing, but i tell them to listen. but still they don't stare

mine don't mind... i dunno maybe they tune it out? but it's better than having them hate it... though i can see why some parents would...

you have no idea, my mom won't even let me listen to music! she says its evil and it will want to commit suicide, with out music let alione with out linkin park i would jump of a bridge or clif or somthing like that.

my parents don't really hate them....but it's just kinda awkward playing it in the car with them because i know they're just thinking "why is that guy screaming no angsty?"

My mom likes the first 3 singles off of Meteora. So she's cool with it, and my dad doesn't really care. My older brother HATES it though...he goes out of his way to make fun of it whenever I'm listening to it. gonk

My parents hate it because in their songs they shout, nut they hate all my music that has shouting in it like Trivium and slipknot . Although my Dad does like some of the other stuff i listen to like the new papa roach album and alkaline trios' new album he says they are ok but he would rather listen to coldplay and keane.

I don''t know. Maybe it''s because I''m black, my mom doesn''t like it. She hates rock music all together, while it''s my favorite type. She thinks all I have to listen to is R&B which isn''t true. Rock music is part of my personality. I con''t see why my mom hates them though. Their music totally lacks profanity, and it''s not all about love and relationships and crap like that. Their music has lessons and meanings to it, while R&B is usually about relationships and love and stuff. She gets so pissed off when I listen to it.

berserkboi80 I'm bored so i will make this so you guys can talk about how your parents or anyone keeps trying to stop you from listening to LP. I find nothing wrong with LP cuz they dont swear and all that crap but parents still hate it. Luckily, my parents dont do this but my friends parents do. Its sad 3nodding . i know their not like the next eminem poser! stare
