Let Me In trailer.

Would I be too cynical to say it already looks shitty?

I'm just thanking God that someone is trying to take back the Vampire-genre from the ******** sparklepires.

Also, The Goonies is 25 years old. Oh my sweet Sloth, that makes me feel so old. Or at least as old as The Goonies. Blargh.

I finally got a copy of Harry Potter 6 for the PS3 and managed to finish it in one night. HP4 has the top spot as my most hated HP game, and 6 takes a close second.

It's only redeeming factor is how much I actually enjoy the Potions part.

Even if Snape would have my a** for being the sloppiest fire hazard of a potion maker...>_>;;

... Ouch.
Well, to be fair, I actually enjoyed Dragon Ball: Evolution.

The problem I had with The Last Airbender was that they tried to condense about 10 hours of story into 1 hour and 47 minutes. And then Shamallamadingdong decided to have a lot of "telling" and not a whole lot of "showing". Katara narrated most of the movie, but we ended up hearing about things that happened between scenes that was unnecessary, or there was a lot of unwieldy explanation. Katara's dialogue in general was a bit wonky. And of course the story ended up being changed for this or that reason as well.

Why I said it's worse than DBE was because that movie's story was so far removed from either the anime or the manga, that it could stand on it's own as an alternate universe. If you didn't like that story, fine (though I did), but it had little to do with it's base material other than some names and a few references. The Last Airbender was just a poorly done adaptation by a director/writer who probably thinks he's a lot better than he actually is at this point.

Oh, and whoever said that keeping Earthbenders prisoner in an isolated part of their home town instead of on a metal frame over the ocean was a good idea is an absolute moron.

Good news, everybody. The Scott Pilgrim movie is AWESOME!
I'm super excited for it; based on what I saw at the Con it looks like loads of fun. whee

So I've seen the Thor trailer that was shown at SDCC, it leaked and all. Gotta say it doesn't put me on the bandwagon but it gets me there. The real problem I have with it is that it in no way fits with the style established with Iron Man. But hey, Joss has done some cool stuff with big casts and Branaugh seems to have gotten some good bits with Thor.

Just saw The House of the Devil, and was pretty impressed by it. Good story, lots of suspense and a very good ending. What impressed me most is how well they managed to mimic the 80s horror movie zeitgeist - everything from its cinematography to her Walkman. Recommend for horror fans.

And I just finished the first season of Buffy. Even more impressed. Something tells me I'll be powering through the rest of the series pretty quickly.

DCU Online is available for online pre-order through Steam (the release date is Nov. 2nd). The bonus item for pre-ordering now, if you're into that sort of thing, is Bane's Venom Injector.

Batman: Arkham City is due out in the Fall of 2011. And there was much rejoicing.

And your first Arkham City update...Dini returns as writer and Catwoman is in it.

Vixen:@Chris Powell I cannot wait for that game. I have beat the other one , and the graphics were the best. I have never played a Batman game so fun. I can't wait to see the villain cast also. The scariest battle in the first one was Killer Crocs. I hope this game has the darkness , and suspense like the other!

Not many details have been released but I heard they're tinkering with detective mode. Something about it making everything too easy...

Vixen:I love detective mode w/o it I will die.... Just playing , but it really helps. You are able to see through walls , and attack when the coast is clear. I used detective mode at least 80% of the game. I can't wait to see how Catwoman looks , and the rest of the villains.
