Hey, all! I'm gonna skip the lengthly intro and go to the crux of what this thread is about. I like cartoons, movies and games, and I figured, since we have all at one point or another had some fun with these things because of our mutual love for comics, why not make a thread for it with people I generally like talking to! blaugh

So, let's get things started off right. I purchased a copy of wizard recently and I was blown away by something. See, I haven't bought a system or video game for anything past gba since gba made it's american debut. in fact, I don't have any system past 32bits at home. whenever I needed a gaming fix, I'd either go oldschool at home or halo or legends it up with my friends and their houses. But then I saw Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. ...and now I must buy a PS3 or XBox 360!
Not only graphically was it smooth but I was blown away by the number of playable characters: 140 heroes and villains! WOOT! blaugh

Anyway, I hope moon knight's in it. but character's confirmed in the game are as follows:

Dr. Strange
Captain America
Iron Man
Thor
Hulk
The Fantastic Four
Most of the heroes and villains featured in X-Men Legends 2 (apocalypse most likely won't be in it)
Daredevil
Elektra
Dr. Doom
Galactus heart
Silver Surfer
Spiderman

and many more.

and though those are the only one's truly confirmed via screen shots, fans should also expect a good mix of popular characters and a few old forgotten gems such as Taskmaster, Power Man, Shang Chi, Iron Fist, Bulls Eye, White Tiger, Arabian Knight, The Shroud and numerous other. so hopefully this is a game that;ll live up to that hype.

anyway, I hope this thread lasts. please join in and have a good time. thanks for chatting!

Yeah I'm gonna get a 360 for Ultimate Alliance. It looks awesome. I won't touch the PS3 though. Not when I'll be able to get a 360 and Wii for the same price.

BTW is anyone else uber-psyched for the Wii?

I'm pretty pumped about Ultimate Alliance. I bought a 360 a little bit back and have been waiting for some really badass games, and they're finally getting here. Prey, Dead Rising, and now this. Score.

I dunno about prey. I played the preview at a friends house and I was like..."God, I just beat up some hicks. I hope aliens don't come"...sure enough they came. I dunno...I might get it for laughs but the concept just makes me laugh. but it made me and my friends wonder: if native americans are mankind's hope from an alien attack, how screwed are we?

The idea of it is laughable, but that's what makes it so fun. It hasn't been done to death. It's a new idea. Once you get inside the ship you like, spirit project yourself through obstacles and stuff. Awesomeness. And that other comment is kind of messed up. What the ******** kind of a train of thought is that?

Well I'm frustrated with video games I was playing Final Fantasy X for an hour last night fighting a boss and I was like three attacks away and i lost. I have to take a break when things like that happen.

@ Warren:...yes, that is important. you don't wanna break your frustrating investment, now do you?

@ Kilowog: I'm sorry, but if Cherokees and Navajos are are salvation from Extraterrestrials (as is the games premise) then technically we're screwed. that's all I'm saying.

Well if we keep Kyle away from large kitchen appliances, I think we have a fighting chance.

Yunalesca Wouldnt have taken as long but she casted Regen on tidus and he had Reflect on him so i had to wait for that to wear off. I lost due to confusion. Wakaa was left and he killed him self.

I just bought Prey the other day. It's ******** awesome. It's like Quake, Doom and F.E.A.R. all mixed up in one 3nodding Killing aliens using living weaponry (I heart the grenades) while walking upside down is my idea of a good time. It seems like nobody's on multiplayer, though.

Two of my friends and I are going to get a PS3 together. Assassin's Creed pretty much sold the system for me.

I'm currently in my "Sly Cooper Trilogy" phase, I'm almost done with part 2. Should be starting 3 by Saturday. I have a bunch of games to start/finish/actually open the packaging.

Just ordered the first season of Chip N' Dale: Rescue Rangers, so I should be getting that in a few days.

God I love Dale so much. heart
