Elyan flinched at the mention of the "Coven". He had never wished to associate himself with such groups, he was too much a loner for something such as that. Yet, Holly had yet to return, so her helping him would be indefinitely on hold until she decided to make a return. Would he have to resort to Alexz's help? If the ends justified the means, then would he follow her advice?
"So, you're with the coven, then?" Elyan asked, bluntly.

Corinne had managed to locate Elyan and had chosen to reserve herself to the shadows until it'd seemed appropriate to reveal herself. She'd managed to catch Alexz offer of a coven room and the offer managed to make her cringe as well. The mysterious woman had decided to scan a few select surface thoughts of the woman in order to learn a little about her. However, Corinne only came as far as learning the woman's name and her status before she realized that this woman was, in fact, an elder and withdrew from her mind. Of course, Corinne hadn't intended to dwell any further into her mind since she was not trying to invade privacy but she figured a name and a staus were harmless. As for her emotions, she'd also taken the liberty of carefully keeping a watch on those and it seemed there was no mal-intent on this woman's part. She recognized, however, this woman from the news and realized that the surface thoughts hadn't been required.
The offer, however, of a room in the coven to Elyan did not sit particularly well with Corinne since she wasn't really keen on having shared a bit with someone who possessed coven status. It could very well jeopardize her position within the city and she couldn't help but feel a little unsettled by the matter. She realized that Elyan would be out of her hair if he joined the coven and that would leave her to her own devices but for some reason that thought bothered her. However, what this woman offered was a lot more than Corinne could but she felt almost offended at Elyan's gesture of considering this woman's offer. Despite that fact, though, she wasn't really sure why she cared if Elyan abandoned her for another person. It was probably the idea of being used that did not sit well with her at all. No wonder she did not allow legitimate friendships or connections.
Upon hearing Elyan's thoughts, this was when Corinne chose to step out from the shadows so as not to be discovered and taken as an enemy of some sort. "My apologies," the strange woman with the Finnish accent stated, "for being intrusive but I couldn't help but for lack of a better word hear and be intrigued by said conversation." She bowed to both Elyan and Alexz though she wasn't particularly interested in hearing anything about the coven or getting to know one of the figure heads of it for that matter. However, she was not about to be rude simply because she possessed a disinterest in joining. She did have an interest in this mainly because Elyan's decision could very well affect her as well as she was preparing to simply walk away and accept the fact that helping people never did her any favours. Of course, she was not going to jump to conclusions until Elyan gave a concrete response so here she remained until he responded to the elder known as Alexz.
The woman was prepared to be examined by the elder and her own surface thoughts were quickly arranged so that the elder would be able to read the fact that she was not with the coven, that she had an association with Elyan and that her name was Holly. Alexz would likely also be able to gauge that Corinne intended no harm or malice and that she was simply intrigued by the conversation because it just so happened to affect herself. Despite her discomfort, however, Corinne managed to smile and nod to them both, glad to have returned from her business and not so glad to find Elyan considering joining the coven. Of course, it was solely his decision and she was not going to interfere by casting her judgement. He already knew her stance on the issue and she knew that his was similar though he seemed to be considering it now so she wasn't sure if his response had been legitimate or if he figured they were better suited to help him find Ellie. Either way, she would stick around to hear his answer and likely high tail it if he decided to join the coven.

Alexz had opened her mouth to speak when she became aware of another in the area. Her eyes snapped in the direction of her mental disturbance and found another psychic vampire lurking in the darkness. She had already picked out key bits of information about the woman before she had the chance to arrange her surface thoughts. Aside from those that had been arranged for her, she learned that this woman wasn't fond of the Coven and was jealous of Elyan's consideration of her offer. She couldn't help but laugh lightly.
Turning her attention back to Elyan, Alexz nodded, "Yes. I am the fourth elder." If bluntness was what he wanted, then bluntness was what he was going to get.
Her eyebrow arched as Holly approached and bowed, "Tell me, Holly, if you're so against the Coven, then why bother bowing? I am not a Queen and my position in the Coven is clearly of no importance to you." her tone had grown very cold, "I respect your opinions, for they were once shared by myself, not too long ago, I might add. However, I do not appreciate being lied to. You are not intrigued by this conversation, a better word would be repulsed judging by your thoughts. It's best not to claim feelings which you aren't harboring, wouldn't you agree?"
Alexz turned her attention back to Elyan and spoke to him telepathically, heavily guarding her words from Holly, whom she was clearly not very fond of.
"Look, I'm not a brochure, I'm not going to sit here and promote the Coven for you. It's your decision whether you would like to formally join the Coven or not. It's your life and I trust that you are able to lead it as you see fit." she gently said, "You and I are very similar, Elyan. If I had not been required to join the Coven 4 years ago, I would be out here living like you, which is a disadvantage if you wish to be in better control of your abilities. You have much to learn and I can help you if you are willing, but that is up to you."
"Such decisions need ample time to consider...without the influence of others." Alexz said the former aloud, adding the latter telepathically.
"Farewell, Elyan, I hope to see you soon." she smiled warmly at him.
Glancing at Holly in farewell, she vanished before them.

Corinne was against the coven in terms of her own interests though she realized it managed to save some of those who were in need of help. As for bowing she paid her respects to everyone she met and had bowed to Alexz just as she had bowed to Elyan. Simply because Alexz was a part of the coven did not mean she was instantly going to dislike her though being wary was certainly something she was going to be. "I am against the idea of being a part of a coven having heard the attrocities of which some have committed. I realize you are no queen and your position means nothing to me but I hardly see why that means I have to be outwardly hostile or rude simply because you are of a coven and I am not. If you'd prefer me to be rude to you, by all means, I am capable."
She did not much appreciate this woman judging her simply because she did not like the coven and tended to be wary of it. However, Corinne was willing to suffer through the opinions of the woman who had not fully informed herself. "I am not repulsed, I am merely wary and cautious. Joining a coven, I will wager, is not something I could see myself doing but some of us prefer solitude while others prefer to find their security and strength in numbers. For those who are able to, it can be a rather touching experience and a good chance to bond with others. It is simply not for me. As for being interested in the conversation, I am interested to see what it is that has to be said. As for feelings which I am harbouring, interest happens to be one of them. Alas, I will allow you your opinions. Sorry I apparently made a bad impression, it wasn't my intention."
Corinne did not appreciate the secretiveness of the elder at all nor the rudeness from her so she instantly discounted the woman and simply awaited Elyan's reaction to her presence. She was rather appauled that the woman could be so judgemental and cold after invading her mind and only clinging to a few of the more negative thoughts of hers. She had not been digusted by the idea, merely aloof in regards to it. She did not wish to hear the coven being advertised overly but it seemed that this woman was merely attempting to be friendly and extent an invitation to Elyan. There seemed to be no harm in her doing such but Corinne couldn't exactly say the woman had given her a warm tingly feeling. She had done absolutely nothing wrong, had not lied and she'd been accused of doing such because of one woman's ignorance. To be called a liar was a pretty high insult to her when she was not doing such.
However, she was not about to hold it against the elder since she had been lurking and probably had not given a good impression. If ever they met again she would have to apologize again not to suck up but simply to attempt to make ammends. Of course, she was certain the woman would not be interested in what she had to say but she would try all the same. She had not intended to offend her by any means and though Alexz had been rather rude to her she was not going to stoop to her level and judge upon a few simple thoughts. The fact that she was being secretive, though, did disturb Corinne and she did not at all appreciate that she did not have the decency to say whatever she had to say aloud when she had just been lecturing Corinne about harbouring secrets and such.
"It's always nice," Corinne said as she turned to Elyan, "to receive a cold shoulder when one did nothing wrong. I never realized attempting to be polite would offend her so highly nor claiming a legitimate interest in the conversation. I suppose it wasn't polite of me to listen in a few seconds before approaching but I didn't want to simply walk in without knowing what was going on. I suppose I simply am not meant to be a part of the coven and that reaction to me right there is an omen and declaration of such. I'm sorry to have sullened your conversation. I hope her dislike for me does not end up reflecting upon you in any way. It seems, though, it didn't but I suppose one can never be too sure. As for her secrets, those I do not appreciate. Anyhow, I'm not here to discuss whatever it was you were speaking to her about though it seems it may affect whether I have a purpose of being here. You seem well enough, I trust you were unharmed during my absence? I also apologize for how abrupt my departure was. I hope it did not inconvenience you."

((Enters)) Kara walked slowly into the park. She sighed. Her back was hurting and she couldn't do anything about it. Of course its probably because it is her Birth-Day today. She stretched. "Hey Core, follow me" She told her friend. She then led the way through some bushes. It was like a maze but then again she knew her way to the meeting area. She sighed again. Finally they emerged and they were at a secret place in the back of the Park. Kile was already there waiting. When he saw her and Core he got up and came over to greet them. Kile smiled as he came over. "Hey you two i was wondering when you'd get here." He said happily. One of the others said something under their breath. "Hey Jamie cool it!!" He yelled back. He turned back to Kara and Core. "Sorry she just isn't used to knowing that your a Tainted or that your friend is a Vampire." He said then smiled. "Um... its ok i guess." Kara replied. She then looked at their whole group of friends and sighed. " So you gonna tell me who is what?" She asked.

Kalan kicked a rock sending it skidding across the walkway. Her mood was not light, and the brightness of the city held no appeal for her. She hadn't wanted to return to it so soon, so instead she had taken a different route through the park. She thought a walk would do her some good, but the entire city, including the park, seemed to be absolutely soaked in the scent of creatures. Wolves, Bloodsuckers, and even the occasional Demon. It was late though, even for nightwalkers, so she doubted many would still be out. Most would probably be hanging around the various bars in the city for fear of being recognized.
The scent was everywhere making Kalan hypersensitive to all surrounding her. The girl's heightened senses were driving her mad. The wolf's blood smeared on her right sleeve made her a bit reminiscent of the companion who had grown weary of her only moments ago. When she could no longer stand her senses, she lowered the heavy barrier over her mind, shielding her, yet locking her abilities in. She hated being so aware, and to numb the pain she smothered herself. Slowly the scent of blood left her.
It made Kalan feel tired to use so much energy to suppress herself. It was like being suffocated. The heavy dark sinking feeling of total numbness came over her slowly. Her ability to manipulate was being difficult, acting as a free power, wanting to draw any and all close to her. The lure ability was strong, but Kalan piled energy on top of it, burying it deep inside. She wanted to be numb again. The dullness she was seeking finally came after a few minutes, though it brought with it the tired heavy feeling she dreaded. Her senses had fallen to that of an average human. She wished they could stay that way, as they did her more harm than good.
Kalan's small boots fell lightly in a line as she balanced along a low brick wall. It was dark out, but she could still feel where the energy surrounding her flowed over the edges. She flung her arms out and lifted her crystal eyes to the silver moon. A purplish gray flowed over the milky sky as light pollution and clouds covered the stars. And the sound of her humming filled the air. The eerie little lullaby floated around her, calling back memories of her mother's voice, singing it to her. Her grandmother had done the same before she had passed away, and her mother before her. The sweet little tune had been passed down through the family for generations, and now it was Kalan's to have. She let the words like a magic spell, fill the atmosphere, calming all life around her. "If you grow tired, come rest here in the dark.." the soft Irish accent tugged the words along, giving them life and breath of their own.

Core follows Kara through a mass of foliage , carefully placing one bare foot in front of the other . She stopped carrying Kara once a few humans where in sight , but she found it futile . She could easily find Kara`s friends by scent . Core was dressed in black today , a sleeveless blouse and skinny jeans . Her typical white dress was in her hands , slightly wet , and her tiara was on her head , wet too . A breeze lifted up her hip long golden brown hair momentarily , and on the same wind she could tell that Kara`s friend , Kile , was close by , as was the one they`d met before , named Josh , along with a few males and a few female . She smelled someone else slightly close , but passed it off as a human having a late night walk . They finally arrived at a clearing near the rear end of the park , an almost perfectly circle enclosed by a few pines and oaks . The almost 3/4 moon shone majestically down on them , like their own floodlights . Kile came up to greet them , and Core just silently watched everyone in the clearing . Her red eyes caught a shadow through her bangs , but it was too fast for even her enhanced eyes . Kile escorted Kara to a rock , which she sat upon , and then he sat on a log next to her . Core , still looking doubtfully at the shadows , sat down on the ground at Kara`s feet . Kile started speaking , and she assumed he was introducing everyone . There were more than a few " scentless " people in this clearing , and she guessed Kile was not the only Incubus . Since this information will probably be useful to her sooner or later , she took her gaze off the shadows and listened intently to Kile speaking .
" So , everyone , " he started , " this is Core . You are not to harm her , even though she`s vampire . She`s one of Kara`s newest and nicest friends . We cannot judge her and she is not evil . Understood ? " He then went on the name everyone in the circle , starting with the girl to his right .

Kalan walked quietly following the low wall beside the concrete path. Branches brushed her face and arms, catching her sleeves lightly. She felt a bit depressed. Her eyes fell to watch her black boots as they walked in line. She felt the weight of eyes on her, and was momentarily disturbed from her thought, but brushed it aside as a stray animal. It was odd indeed, to feel anything this late.
She felt so tired. So heavy. Everything seemed darker and less sharply clear to her eyes. She knew it was dangerous to shut herself off completely, but the thought of being blind to an attack really didn't shock her anymore. The idea should had scared her back into struggling with the powers, but.. she was simply too tired. When her limbs felt heavy and she couldn't walk anymore, the filthy park benches seemed so much more appealing. She fell heavily on one, unhooking the satchel from her hip. The case of knives was weighing her down a good deal, as were the other weaponry stored on her person.
"Where is he?" She asked the shadows. Her long pale hair fell lightly over the back of the bench as she leaned on it, and her fair face held a look of stillness, much different from her normally bright and happy facade. Asher was at lest two hours late. He was suppose to check the Hunter's logs and then come find her immediately, but instead, she could feel his presence nowhere near her. It felt awkward being separated from him. He had always been right there, helping her fight, watching over her, scolding her for being reckless. She felt a bit lonely. Kalan had never liked being left to herself, let alone in the middle of the night.
She slowly lifted her right hand, stretching it out above her head, and then snapped it back down to her side. The blade slipped from it's place in the holster below her elbow and flew into her palm. She then raised it again up over her head, and, still watching it, she let the moon's light shine brightly off of the polished dagger. Small slivers of beams cut through the darkness around her as the moon's silver rays glittered off of the knife. She watched sleepily as it shimmered in the night, breaking the shadows. A small smile lit her angelic face. It was very pretty. "Ouch!" Suddenly her arm throbbed. Kalan pulled the weapon back down and yanked her sleeve up as a small trickle of blood dripped down her arm. One of the thorn branches that had snagged her sleeve had cut her arm, and she hadn't noticed the smell because of the wolf's blood on her sleeve. This park just seemed to hate her. Kalan's pale arm twisted so she could better she the cut. It wasn't deep, but it was long, and thin, like a bad paper cut. She frowned. It was unpleasant to deal with blood and silk shirts, and she had forgotten her bandages. They were still in the coat she had lent Shiloh.
