How are the holidays treating you?
Is everyone having fun and being busy?
I know I am. My brother, sister-in-law and their two kids are staying with my family for a week. They are joining our usual group of eight-me, 2 brothers, my mom, dad, and three little ones-my nieces and nephew. So, we have twelve people fitting into our five bedroom/three bath house. Crazy fun. But my entire immediate family is here, so I'm loving it. ^_^

It's also movie/game night nearly every night here. So far, I've seen Avatar in 3-D, the second Tinkerbell movie, and I'm going to see New Moon for the second time tomorrow. Has anyone else seen any good movies?

Any good New Years Resolutions you've come up with? New Years Eve should be quite fun. ^_^

My holidays were fun. I went to my great-uncle's house on Christmas Day to celebrate with my dad's side of the family. Then my mom, brother, and myself proceeded to my aunt's house (horrible weather-snow was blowing across the road, could barely see the road in front of us, and it icy) and I played with my cousin on Friday night and Saturday night. On Sunday, my mom's side of the family all came over to my grandma's house for Christmas and we played cards, ate food, all that fun stuff.

For New Years, I'm sleeping over at my friend's house.

Wow Matelia, that sounds busy. That's a lot of people.

As for movies that I've seen lately, I've seen Avatar (I wanted to see it in 3D, but the only theater around us that has it in 3D is about half an hour away and is an IMAX 3D so tickets are expensive crying ) and I've also seen New Moon. I thought it was better than Twilight, but it was still okay. I probably wouldn't see it again til it comes out on DVD.

Hope everyone has a great New Years!

Happy New Year, everyone! (:
Any resolutions?

Minerva: Ooh, that sounds like so much fun! Tell us all about it when you're back (:

Jedi: Um...decent? Hahah. I'm not too sure.

I can't believe it's a whole new decade O:
It doesn't feel like a new year (maybe that's just me?) but I'm excited all the same (: I really enjoy winter, I discovered. Probably because we've got skiing and ice skating to enjoy. How has everyone's hols been?

Turayza: It was fun, except for the driving, because it was just horrible weather. Other than that, it was fun. But I agree with you, it doesn't feel like a whole new decade. And I like winter, but I hate the cold. I like snow, and ice skating, and skiing and the holidays and everything, I just dislike it when the temperatures are below 25 degrees.

And I keep forgetting in my other posts, but I got a part in my school's Frosh-Soph play smile

Yuck...school starts again on Monday...I don't want to go back

Hello, fellow Ravenclaws. Last time I was free enough to spend some time in the common room I seemed to hear nothing except sadness. I am glad that that doesn't seem to be the case this time.

I hope everyone had a happy, or at least safe holiday season and that you are continuing to stay warm, especially if you are in one of the many places blessed (or is it cursed?) with snow.

Meatball: That would be me!!!!!! We just got almost 10 inches of snow dumped on us Wednesday night, Thursday, and Thursday night (unfortunately we still had school) and on top of that, it's unbelievably cold here now.

I can't believe I only have three days of classes left until I take finals and then I get a whole set of brand new classes.

EcoGeek: Long time no see! I'm doing good. I'm really tired because my church had an all night bowl at the local bowling alley last night and I'm exhausted from it. And I went to the mall today because we had no school today, and we no school tomorrow! biggrin And then Wednesday starts our brand new semester and I get all new classes...fun stuff.

Oh Jedi I am so jealous! Usually here in Seattle it rains/snows lots during the winter, but this winter has been abnormally warm (global warming scream ) and even the snow up on the mountains is more ice-skating-rink-ish than powdery. (Ow.) It's really disappointing. I hope once February kicks in the snow will come back...

I think my greatest strengths are my wit and cunning. Also a strong mind and good hard. I am also very brave, must not insane brave (like jumping off a cliff for a CHANCE to save someone).

Vball: Welcome to Ravenclaw, and I hope you enjoy it here.

Turayza: Yeah, it's been warmer than usual the past week or so, but before that, it was below freezing with the wind chill basically everyday. And last night and today we've gotten rain/freezing rain so all our snow has melted crying Hopefully we'll get more soon.

Started my new classes yesterday, and the bus to take me to my first hour (my first hour class is only offered at the other high school due to the cost of the software) yesterday was late getting us back to my school, then our schedules weren't in security like the said they'd be, so I had to go to student services to pick it up (the line was like, 5 miles long-not really, but you get my point) and when I got to the desk, my schedule wasn't there, so they had to call my advisor, find out where he was, where he put his schedules that he hadn't given out that day, sent me to the dean's office, and by the time I went to the dean's office, got my schedule and went to my locker to get all my stuff for english, I was about 20 minutes late to my english class. And I was late to english class again today. Course, my english teacher can't count me tardy because I can't control if the bus was on time or how quickly he drives and all that stuff. Other than that, my classes are fine. My Algebra 2 teacher is interesting to say the least. At least I'm rid of my insane spanish teacher biggrin

Welcome to Ravenclaw Vball! I hope you'll enjoy yourself. smile

It's been a while since I last checked in. Things been really hectic with the death of my grandpa. The funeral was beautiful - almost 300 people showed up.

My performance in school has unfortunately suffered. I just can't seemed to concentrate. And my diabetes has been going haywire. Seems like I've lost what little control I had over my bloodsugar levels. I'm either suffering from Hyperglycemia or Hypoglycemia almost constantly.

On a lighter note, it's been rather cold here. It's been a few days with temperatures only slightly below the freezing point, and other days when it's been as cold as -0.4 farenheit.

The snow has almost disappeared though. That doesn't change the fact that the ground is covered in extremely slippery ice. Some days it's so slippery, that I have to borrow my mum's shoes, - the ones that have spikes under them.

Ugh.. If anyone wants our snow, they're welcome to have it. After 17 years of long, cold, snowy winters, I'm rather sick of it. razz

(By the way; this is my 400th post mark)
