The veering noise of the elevator door made Ichi's ears twitch. She was holding her small, black-haired, fluffy dog, Roi, in her arms. It was his day to be treated special/ Ichi alternates between each pet since she didn't have a favorite. Edward and Alphonse dashed out of the elevator, afraid that the door would close onto thier stringy tails as it did before.

Ichi walked out after them, the elevator doors closing behind her. Ichi was clad in the colors Blue, white and black. She had a popular music player hanging on the side of her short black skirt, which was over a pair of ripped blue jeans. Her shirt was almost the same color as her jeans with a black cross on the side, and of course, her shoes were her favorite, Black hi-top Chuck Taylors, worn in, of course. For accessories, she wore a white belt over her skirt, a white headband on her head, a black choker, which looked like a dog collar and black fishnet gloves.

Her bangs moved onto her face as they always were as she turned her head to see Deity in the room. Roi let out a small bark to indicate that Ichi has arrived. Edward and Alphonse walked infront of Ichi, knowing that she was heading towards Deity to greet him.

"Hello, Deity!"

There weren't many days anymore in Orion where you could see an arm laying on a table.

Ok... it wasn't a real arm.

It was an artifical arm, a robotic prosthetic replacement for the one Valin had lost during the Yuuzhan Vong war, when the genocidal alien race came from beyond the galactic rim to destroy him and all others who called the galaxy home. They had been repelled - but the invasion had taken an incredible toll on both the Vong and those natural to the galaxy.

Valin had merely lost an arm. Most had lost their homeworlds, which were forever reshaped into some twisted hell by the Vong's terraforming - called 'Vongforming' by most. So many more had lost their lives.

The Jedi Knight wasn't thinking about the war though. He tried not to. It hurt too much. He lost friends, family, and someone else important to him.

Right now, he thought about the arm on the table. The one he was working on.

An advantage of the Force was that one could see minute details unseeable by the naked eye. Equally, one could adjust electrical flows - finding the best possible path that would quicken response time.

After years of work: The thing was better, faster, stronger than his real arm before it.

However, when it was unattached and laying into several pieces on a table, it was rather useless. And even though he worked with one hand - the Force acted like the second one he needed at times for precise work.

::Staying silent for a few moments, the tall boy glances over to his left, catching sight of the Jedi nearer to the elevator at a table. Working on his prosthetic arm again. Seeing the bionic limb reminds him somewhat of his repeated attacker and unofficial look-alike, the young demon slayer Angellus Charade. Likewise outfitted with an artificial arm, the slayer apparently lost it when he was very young, along with his eye, also replaced.

Finding himself drifting into a thoughtfull abyss, Deity is jerked from his thoughts by the barking of a dog, his feet dragging against the floor as he comes to a sudden stop to turn halfway around and face the noise. Ed and Al, the cats, are accompanied by their owner, Ichigo, carrying a dog. Hidden eyes growing wider, the Mystic devil swallows hard in his throat upon the sight of the girl, rather nervous all of a sudden. That expression is thankfully hidden, though his tail loses any firmness and just drops behind his legs.

Clearing his throat with both hands remaining in his pockets, the quiet Tonepian gives Valin a brief downward nod in silent greeting should he look up from his diligent work, soon returning his attention to the petite young lady approaching him. Hesitating a few seconds, a tender smile curves his lips as he nods his head upward this time in response to her greeting, turning about-face and making his way to the bar. He could use a drink, and might be serving his friends as well.::::

"Mr. Deity," Valin said, looking at the fake arm, a welding like device in his real one.

"Did you know it's not wise to challenge a Jedi to drinking games where the point is to get the opponent the most drunk first?" The Jedi smiled as he worked. It was good to have people around right now. Valin loved people and incredibly enjoyed being around others.

He also loved jokes.

"You see, Jedi can use the Force to block toxins entering the bloodstream. There was a time when I stopped in a bar looking for a Jedi-hunter who had cause many civilians harm and death. I challenged him to said drinking game."

He looked at Deity and smiled warmly, "He was very easy to drag out of the bar in his drunken stupor."

The Jedi chuckled and went back to his work, "And they said the Jedi life would be a hard one to live."

He gave a quick look at the girl walking in, "Good evening, Ichi."

Roi wriggled in Ichi's arms, kicking his back paws/feet/whatever you want to call it and jumped out as soon as Ichi loosened up her arms to let go of him. He barked and chased the cats, who started to run as his paws touched the ground, maybe he was jealous of them because he felt that they were leading Ichi instead of himself. Ichi shook her head, following the cats and thier persuer with her eyes, smiling at the man with one arm as she noticed him while the cats continued to run. She left them be and turned her attention back to Deity.

"Long time no see!"

Ichi didn't notice Deity's worry since it was always covered up, but she was used to it. Her dark grey colored tail waved around in the air, as she was always happy to see Deity. She lifted her left foot off the ground and pushed off the ground with her right, opening her arms and latching onto the tall man in front of her, landing on the tip of her left foot.

::Only a short distance from the nearer end of the bar counter, the tall man finds Ichigo approaching at a quicker pace, arms open. Rather than quicken his pace to avoid her, he keeps that same smile on his face as he takes his last step, halting his movement and turning more towards her as she reaches out to hug him. Lifting his elbows away from his sides as she embraces him, the Orinian demon tilts his head back, closing his eyes in time with a deep exhalation through his nostrils. He's still not used to these alien feelings he's experiencing...for now, he's able to control them, at least.

Slipping his right hand from his pocket, he curls his arm around the little lady, a gentle hug to keep her against his chest a moment longer before he releases her. Taking another deep, quiet breath, Deity gives Ichi another smiling downward glance before looking up to the Jedi, eyebrows raised as he listens to his intriguing little story. Random, but intriguing. All Jedi seemed to act that way, actually.

Shortly after Valin finishes, Deity continues on his path behind the bar, headed for the refrigerator - Ichigo sticking to him or not.::

"Jedi are eccentric, Mr. Deity. Eccentric peacekeeping, laser blade wielders who call upon a living field of energy. Sometimes we're old hermits who live in a hut on a desert planet. Sometimes we topple evil Empires. Sometimes we exile ourselves to a swamp world to wait for destiny to unfold itself. Sometimes we're the posterboys of goodness. Sometimes we hide to perform our good deeds in silence and shadows. Like I said - we're eccentric to the very end."

Valin put some pieces on the fake arm, drifting them up carefully with the Force which also held them in place. He welded them into place. He ran power through the arm with a small battery on the side which was connected to the limb for now. He sensed the energy flow and did minute changes of current - cutting it off here, opening up there, streamlining another place.

"I'd like any strong alcohol you have. Something with a crisp, woody taste would be nice if you have it," Valin answered finally the question Deity had asked him.

Roi was streched out on the floor near the stage, exausted from chasing the two cats around. Edward and Alphonse were laying down on top of Roi in victory, also tired. They would be laying there for quite a while, most likey falling asleep.

Ichi let go of Deity as she felt him release her. ichi always loved to hug Deity, since he was so tall, and she was so short, if gave her a different feeling than hugging someone her own height. Her ears twitched as she heard the Jedi speaking. She didn't know much about the Jedi, well, she really didn't know anything, but today she learned something about them. That was good, she actually found that information to be humorous and educational, like a lot of modern day American Television. She lifted her arm up in the air, waving in a wide arc, smiling at the Jedi.

She relaxed her arm and pressed her palms against the near edge of the countertop, lifting herself up into the air, off the ground about a foot, and twisted her body, so her rump replaced her hands, sitting on the edge of the counter. She was facing the stage and she began to swing her legs.

She spoke without turning to speak.

"I bought a few cans of Peach Green Tea, it's an orange can with a drawing of a guy drinking directly from a peach with a straw, if you could just hand me one with a straw, that would be nice. Thanks, Deity."

::Very random.

Simply keeping a sideway glance on Valin as he speaks, Deity patiently awaits some manner of answer, right hand opening the fridge, and left digging into it rather blindly. With the Jedi still talking, Deity takes something from the refrigerator and begins to twist the cap off, glancing down briefly to see what he got as he lifts it up to sip. Grape jelly. A bit of a cringe crosses his expression as he hastily recaps it and throws it back onto its shelf, reaching in this time for the pitcher of tea he made a short while ago.

Opening a nearby cabinet and taking out a glass for himself, Deity hears the orders of his friends as he's setting his cup and pitcher down. Ichigo's is easy; he already saw what she mentioned when he opened the fridge. Valin's is somewhat more difficult; as, apparently, the one person of his entire bloodline who doesn't drink, that description is a bit vague. Puckering his lips and squinting in thought, the tall boy spins on his left heel and pulls the refrigerator open once more with the toe of his right boot, taking out a can of Ichi's Peach Green Tea.

Kicking the door shut he turns again, directly behind Ichigo now, he lifts the glass straw-holder top on the counter to remove a straw for the young girl. His black left thumbnail growing into an inch-long claw, he pokes open the can before slipping the straw in and setting it next to Ichigo. He whispers very subtly to let ehr know he's given her the drink before placing his palms on the countertop a few feet apart, looking across the room toward the boy as his fingernail shrinks back to normal.::

...here, Ichi...

...could you...ehhm...be a bit more specific, Valin?

Ichi twisted her shoulders, looking behind her. She attempted to find Deity's eyes with her own in Deity's clothing. Already smiling, she picked up the can, with her left hand, and lifted up her right hand, holding the straw with her fingers as she sipped from the can.

"Thanks again, Deity."

She continued to swing her legs, her left leg wet forawrd, her right leg went backwards, and vice versa as they swung. She didn't intend to speak while she was drinking her delicious, sweet peach green tea, she actually wanted to listen to more of Valin's interesting Jedi tales.

"I'm eccentric, not picky," Valin said.

Valin put his fake arm down for a moment and reached out to the Force. The door of the fridge opened again, slowly. A can of the Peach Green Tea flung out at high speeds and directly into the open palm of Valin's flesh right hand. He opened it with the Force and took a sip.

"Ah. This tea is very refreshing. Though it serves nothing for getting me drunk," The Jedi said with a chuckle.

He put it down and went back to work. He disconnected the tester battery and put his tools to the side.

The Jedi picked up the fake arm and attached it to its proper socket. With a twist, it locked into place with a number of loud clicks. It was painful as the nerves, pain resceptors, feeling resceptors, and other biological factors shot themselves alive in the artifical limb.

Most humans would yell out and clinch the newly attached palm.

Valin did none of these. He had learned about pain from Yuuzhan Vong. Torture and pain was the means by which they reaffirmed their existance and gave praise to their 'gods'. Captured prisoners received Breakings in a thing called the Embrace of Pain - which worked incredibly well at bringing you to the brink of death by pain, releasing you to recover, and starting over again. This lasted for a couple days... or weeks. He couldn't remember. Time blurred itself in the Embrace.

Thus, Valin no longer really noticed pain anymore.

Valin simply raised his arm, opening and closing the palm, then each finger one at a time. He twisted the hand in the wrist socket, as well. It produced a light whirring noise with each motion.

"Well, it's good as new."

<<...aww, poor Gabe. 3= >>

::Keeping to himself, the tall boy nods to the Jedi, lifting his hands from the bartop to take hold of his pitcher and drinking glass. Pouring himself a full cup, he sets down the blue pitcher and slides it to the side, raising the glass to his lips to take a sip. Closing his eyes and breathing in deeply through his nose, Deity's smile fades gently as he swallows the liquid, both hands lightly grasping the cup as he sets it down.

Upon opening his masked vermillion orbs, he lets them wander across Ichigo's form for a few moments, one eyebrow lowering as he mulls over a thought in his head. Tea is helpful, but the tension he's been feeling as of late is hard to relieve with just a nice beverage or two. A calming activity like that would do him some good. May as well, then. Leaning forward, both elbows against the counter, Deity's upper torso tilts gently toward the petite foxling, his eyes somewhat more visible now, being below hers. Raising his glass only briefly to take another sip, he quietly speaks to Ichigo, his words little more than a soft breath as he offers his suggestion.::
