[part 01][part 02]There were only two routes the white rabbit could take was what Satori concluded. She took the shortcuts (and bribed!) her way ahead of the White Rabbit. Along the way, Satori took advantage of her surroundings to plant new pranks (or traps according to the White Rabbit).
She knew that the White Rabbit loathed insects of all kinds, so Satori would plant a few fake insects here and there. Some of them were designed to spring along to the White Rabbit’s steps. Satori also “helpfully” planted some snap crackers. Again, they’d set off should the White Rabbit step on any. Lastly, exclusive to the White Rabbit, she had sprinkled some carrot cake with a surprise filling… and ingredient. It appeared to be a nice helping of carrot cake, but the color was simply a ruse!
Satori patted herself on the back and hid at a distance between either route. She’d know if the White Rabbit had fallen to her prank just based on how loud the White Rabbit could get.
“It’s a matter of time!” Satori whispered to herself in glee… until she realized something was amiss. She immediately frowned and whined, “Oh… oh no! …why! It’s about to get good!”
Before Satori knew it, the world around her shook and began to sway to and fro. A stairway materialized before her. She vaguely recognized it from her descent. At a distance, a shrouded white figured hurried down and gasped for air.
“Satori! I finally found you! Anyway, I don’t have time to explain what this is, but this is for you!” the mysterious figured hollered as they tossed a vial filled with iridescent dust. Satori deftly caught the delicate bottle and looked at the figure. She sighed when she saw the figure retreat. From a distance, she could vaguely hear, “And stop bullying the White Rabbit! Be nicer to him!”
And then the world around her faded away in shimmering stardust…

Satori awoke abruptly to a fretful Nemuri. Apparently, Satori overslept again, much to Nemuri’s dismay.
‘I guess I’ll have to wait until next time for the thrilling conclusion…’ Nemuri thought to herself. It’s apparent that she had forgotten about the elusive figure in her dream, but no matter, as the same bottle sat beside her nightstand.
