Sailor Skadi, Senshi of Frostbite + Sailor Glauke, Senshi of Quicksand

It was hard these days for Skadi to go on patrol, what with her over-bearing brother keeping such a close eye on her. Between her kidnapping a year ago, and coming home bruised and bloody after weird giant youma fights... Well, she understood, she just didn't like it. However there was a night in recent weeks that the young Senshi tried to sneak out of the house and was caught-- only to find out that Brodie was a Senshi as well. So the only way she would be allowed out, was if he supervised and went with her.

She supposed that would have to do.

So the siblings were out on a patrol together when the felt the strange pull, and as they approached they could feel the huge grouping of Order power signatures... Without a battle going on? Strange.

Skadi looked up at Glauke with wide, bright eyes before full-on running into the fray of gathered Senshi, Knights and Cats. She wanted to be a part of whatever it was that was going on- and while Glauke preferred to remain on the sidelines, at least he could keep a close eye on his younger sister. Especially while this weird dude went on a rant about getting into some Negaverse headquarters or something.

Both Sailor Skadi and Sailor Glauke are open for interaction~

As Odainsaker and two more senshi arrived on the scene, Duhr's bright blue eyes widened at the incredible sight.

"Dorado, Dorado!" Her grip was still tight, holding on to the smaller senshi in hopes of keeping her from hurting herself as she insulted the stranger. The blonde gave the bluenette another shake, then physically moved her head to view the Cosmos Page with her. "Dorado, she ain't got nothin' coverin' her butt."

The Page was pretty, in truth, with her hair the color of rainbows and quite fascinating for the simpleminded senshi to stare at.

Which she did. A lot.

But what fascinated her more was the fact she was barely wearing anything at all, right smack-dab in the middle of January. The concern she had for these mysterious Rifts, Metallica (wasn't that a band?) and monsters was put on pause as she boldly moved forward and whispered to the young woman, "Ma'am, would...would ya like to borrow mah tights or somethin'?"

She'd let the smarter senshi work out this stranger's intentions. After all, they seemed to have him pretty darned cornered already!

Sailor Sabine, Senshi of Tactics

Sabine stood quietly and listened. She was heartened somewhat by Phact's choice of hand signals, and nodded her head slowly. She did not move from the page's side, but her eyes slid over to Havasu for a moment. If need be, she'd drag him by the collar over to stand next to her as well, but for now it didn't seem to be necessary.

At Phact's question, she shook her head - deciding to reserve her thoughts for later when she could speak to Phact privately. She liked the idea, but the information she was hearing form what seemed to be a converted knight, as well as the stranger's request for energy put her off somewhat.

There was something missing here - and she didn't like their tactical options. They needed more information. Still, she flashed Phact the sign that she understood, but otherwise she continued to observe the stranger... and listen.

Hyperborea, Squire of Cosmos

Hyperborea had been in the middle of fighting a youma when she felt the strange aura appear, so it had taken her some time to get there and by the time she arrived there was already a large crowd. More alarming to her was the presence of multiple royals here, she wondered what she had missed that drew such a crowd.

She tried to make her way through the throng of people to see where the strange aura was coming from. She saw a familiar face in the sea of unknown senshi and knights, Camelot. She tried to make her way to him.

She waited for him to finish speaking before gently tugging on his cape to alert him to her presence. "Camelot?" She had alot of questions she wanted to ask, but now didn't seem like the time so she decided to wait. She watched quietly.

Dorado's sharp gaze immediately landed on two of the new arrivals, looking them up and down like a wolf eyeing a piece of meat. Duhr's antics distracted her for a moment, and she got an unfortunate look at another girl's... well. Butt. Growling with agitation at Duhr and taking a swipe at her, Dorado promptly missed as the taller senshi rushed over to speak to the Cosmos Page.

In the meantime, she stalked over to Skadi and Glauke, looking them both up and down with unhidden scrutiny. They'd do, she decided. "Over here." She ordered, reaching out to grab Skadi's hand so she could drag her closer to where she and Duhr had been standing. "This bigshot just showed up and claims he needs energy to let us all into the Negaverse so we can attack. I think it smells like a trap."

She didn't seem at all shy, chattering to the girl who was only a tiny bit taller than her. Small people, unite! Not that she'd ever claim to be small. "Get ready for some crazy stuff to go down. I don't trust him!"

"No, I don't know but I've heard the names tossed around. The two are the heads in the Negaverse as far as I can gather." She spoke while looking at those gathering, so many were here and more were likely to come. This was going to be a big gathering and if the Negaverse didn't show up, if this wasn't an ambush, she'd be surprised. The signatures here were immense, so many royals, and the strange signature plus eternals and knights and others. This would be too big and too tempting.

As the stranger spoke of Beryl, the past, and more she found pieces to a puzzle...to the] puzzle which was at the root of this all. The truth was there, perhaps in grains of salt or perhaps in larger pieces but it was there and they were hearing it. "it seems this stranger is from another planet and is ancient...from before the fall of everything..he saw it from the sound of it. How interesting...but to offer us the opportunity he is offering us. I'm not so trusting of it, everything has a price and this is a war for the balance." Balance, if the code was correct, was what they needed and how did they know if they would tip it too far by taking out Metalia, or someone else. When was too far in one direction or the other? Oh, she knew the darkness was too far right now but how to keep themselves from replacing them as the over balanced side? Did this figure care about that? Would he think or care about such a thing?

"I don't like this but it is interesting." She said looking to the page at her side.

Sailor Skoll

She smiled at the cat and Syrma. Moon Queen huh? Long dead lady who had no bearing on the war? Good to know.

Skoll fell into a looser crouch, angling herself ever so slightly in front of Syrma as talk continued. The entire gathering began to set her teeth on edge and she locked her jaw, muffling a growl in her throat. So they were fighting a war started by dead people, how lovely. This guy, Caedus was some thousand years old, escaped from the Rift, a place that apparently couldn't be escaped from unless you were the Negaverse.

Someone pipped up that the castle and the rift were two entirely different places. And an Academy? This war she'd been awoken too was far bloodier than she'd realized.

She glanced at Syrma, eyes hard, her expression serious. "If sh-- if this turns ugly, stay next to me and I'll get you and your kitty out of here. This is not going to be something to stay and try to fight, kid." It was like a meeting of the street rat groups going badly.

Someone always didn't make it home.

Sailor Hati, Senshi of the Cu-Sith

He'd really tried to say ******** it and not go. Really tried. It freaking ate at him that he was going to this s**t... Anything dealing with magic, he'd tried to blank out. He'd planned on spending his 20th birthday in the apartment, feet up on the table, drinking the night away with Anna watching probably random horror flicks.

Hati, newly 20 and still his typical broad-shouldered, 6'4" self, was less than overly pleasant when he finally got to the hill top. His brain was being bracketed by power signatures, and a particularly weird one that was surprisingly not smothered by the incredibly powerful ones in the crowd.

He'd... stayed in the far, far back. Just listening to the information being tossed around. A war due to a bunch of long dead people that most of them had never heard of--or really, none of them probably heard of until they got kicked into this stuff--and just... good lord. Hunched over a bit and a bristling mess, he finally spotted Skoll by a wolf-hooded person (Syrma).

Deciding he'd spent enough time in the Outer Rim, he finally made his way towards his twin, though noted her defensive posture with a glance towards the front where all the action seemed to be. "...caught some of the history lesson, but the hell's going on?" Glancing down at the--kid?--he gave a slight nod of his head to the equally fur-uniformed senshi. "Hati. Hi." He was so eloquent.

Syrma: Chibi of Wolves

"Hide be...." Syrma's blue eyes looked briefly confused, then brightened as though they had been lit from within and it was not with snugly childish glee. "First off he's not my cat." She refused to refer to Ballard as "Kitty"...
"Second, I'm not hiding behind anyone. I'm sorry I haven't had the time to go blef around at my star and figure out whatever mystical whoodydoody the universe thinks I need to do to counter the fact I got handed a pen when I was thirteen but that was a couple years ago! I'm NOT A BABY. People get killed at my age for way the hell dumber reasons and they don't have magic!" She protested. Hi. Join the party. Here we have several camps: We have the camp that wants to march into what I guess is basically Mordor or something and punch the queen of the bad guys in the face, and then we have the Admiral Akbar Camp who thinks it's a trap, and then we have Camp Babysitter!" She accused, shooting a sharp look at Skoll. She paused, shooting a sharp look between the two older senshi and then pointed accusing fingers at each of them. "The wolf that ate the sun and the wolf that ate the moon. Nice. My attack is named after one of you two I think... or maybe." She allowed an angry, hot tempered smile. "Maybe it's the other way around."

Probably none of the above, but she thought they could darn well chew on that. HIDE indeed.

Super Aegir

Story time commenced on either side, interspersed with words carrying varying degrees of vinegar; Aegir felt a little bit like this was a playground full of kids needing an adult to step in and tell them to separate or they'd be put in a time-out. But he did listen, learning some things he hadn't known before from Eye-patch and Castor.

Caedus needs energy...understandable, if he's been gone for so long as it sounds, but it's still suspect. How did he get free of the Rift? How did he survive? Where are the Dark MIrror Court senshi? The Negaverse? How are they not here...surely the collective aura we're giving off is like a a spotlight in the dark. It's so strange...

Thraen's whispered plan received a nod of understanding; he could do that and more if necessary. Capable and intelligent, the Eternal of Gardens was the sort of leader that Aegir could only hope to some day be.

Sailor Aue

Things were heating up - the cloaked mystery figure had started conversing with some of the senshi nearby, including two of the (<********> there were more!?) winged loudmouths. The one with tits seemed to be behaving like one of those spoiled rich kids on 'reality' TV while the guy had the air of someone swinging their d**k around.

"Ridiculous." Aue muttered, glancing around to see if anyone else found this as improbable and obnoxious as he did; the Hobbit got points simply for looking as though the proceedings were not only full of s**t but had the same sort of draw as an in-progress train wreck.

Wait....that's a princess? And the winged d**k-swinger is a prince? ******** me, can just any brat have a crown? It's like I stepped into some really bad fanfiction.... Amid the insanity, a few voices spoke up reasonably - if any of this bullshit could be considered reasonable - and he got snippets of some fabulous magical history lesson, but for the most part the brunet simply found his first impression of being a 'senshi' reinforced:

This was some weak-a** bullshit.

"Tell me you find this as ridiculous and asinine as I do." Rude words, but at least he pitched them low enough that the magical mystery fanclub wouldn't hear him. No point in interrupting such important goings on, right?

Sailor Skoll

The taller senshi raised a brow, smirking at Syrma. Very spunky, very spunky. She glanced at Hati, chuckling softly to herself. Syrma reminded her a lot of her at that age. The Senshi of the Pack stepped back, even allowed a bow to the superior experience of the fifteen year old. She sobered up slightly, the grin fading to a smile.

"He was in your hood, to be fair. Honest mistake. And yes, I'm well aware kids your age get killed for worse things; I lost two street kids your age from my group last month to a gang fight. You don't wanna hide, alright Syrma." Skoll stepped to the side, drapping an arm on her brother.

"Ya don't have to. Doesn't mean I won't look out for your well being, but you obviously know what yer doing." Little spit fire wolf pup there. Not a baby, no, but still.

Skoll leaned into Hati, to whisper into his ear.

Kaefaux

Perdita was less than impressed with the general goings-on of the gathering. It was all a big ********, pardon her language, and poor Caedus, as he'd introduced himself, was being bombarded with question after question after question. Which wasn't cool at all, considering he seemed pretty weak and tired. He'd been pretty forthcoming with them so far, which was enough to satisfy the Chibi Senshi of Plenty for the time being.

She found his story completely fascinating. If there was any sort of seat around for her to plop herself down in, she would have been on the edge of it. A lot of what he said were things she'd never heard before, and every word out of his mouth lead to more information from those gathered around. She was having a little difficulty putting some of the pieces together since all the information wasn't being presented in chronological order, but she drank it all in regardless.

So there was some lady named Beryl who became Queen of Earth and went to war with the Moon. Clearly she was without principles if she betrayed someone she'd previously made an alliance with. She was later reborn and... placed into a host body? How did that happen, Perdita wondered. Who were these people being spoken of?

Apparently she'd missed out on a lot of the story before she was awakened. That was a shame. She would have liked to be around for it. The idea of going to the Negaverse's space fascinated her just as much, though it seemed as if it would be quite dangerous. She'd like to see it, even if it wasn't for very long.

But there were more important matters to attend to now. Perdita noticed the way Caedus always seemed to step away from anyone who approached him. She wondered if it was purposeful, or if it was something so ingrained in him he could no longer control it. In any case, she didn't think the cacophony of voices was going to help him, even those who were plying him with niceties and welcoming support. Caedus was doing his best to answer everyone, it seemed, but it must be exhausting for him, being around so many strangers who were demanding so much of him.

Perdita didn't approach him again, but she said gently, “You don't have to be afraid.”

She wished she had the opportunity to speak with him without all the others interjecting. There was so much she wanted to know.

Sailor Enif

This whole thing seemed bizarre to her, and maybe it was because she'd only had a few day to get used to this. There were so many others beside herself, which she had been expecting/come to understand, but to see so many... It boggled her mind!

And then there was everything the cloaked figure was saying, what everyone was trying to fill him in on (that she didn't even know herself!)... It was too much to understand completely and she almost wished she had a way to record all of this.

Note to self, buy a voice recorder or something.

And then there was a voice talking to her, snapping her out of her thoughts and she looked over to the brightly colored woman she had put herself near by. She still hadn't quite understand why she had chosen her, perhaps purely because of the pretty colors she was decked out in.

"I guess this is weird?" she answered rather unsurely, a hand moving to tuck some of her pink and orange hair behind an ear. "This is my first time being to something like this, to be honest. I've... only been a senshi for a couple of days."

Should she have admitted that?

"I'd been told there were others like me but I didn't realize the number was quite as astounding as this."

Castor Page Aptera

This time Aptera did let a small smile spread on her lips. From all she was hearing clearly this was far from an occasion brimming with happiness, but it warmed her to witness selflessness intertwined with reasonable caution in her eyes. If the cloaked figure Caedus was as powerful as he seemed, it struck her to consider her chances of a successful attempt at survival would be slim if he had attacked. However, his level of power had nothing to do with the fact that she had felt no hostility from him thus far. And so, she let down a little of her guard to act on the thought that there may be a little help she could also offer the individual before them who looked to indeed have gone through the suffering he had shared.

She approached Caedus as well and stopped before him at a distance aligned no farther than others had gone so as to try and avoid invading too much of his personal space. From the shoulder bag hanging at her side, Aptera had taken out a paper bag with a simple tupperware container of chicken salad, a thinly wrapped yet still sealed set of new utensils she had saved from a past restaurant visit, and an unopened bottle of water. And then she held out her hands with said paper bag toward Caedus.

"Um, Caedus," did she say um, had that uncommon sound really been from her own voice just now? She cleared her throat softly to regain her usual state of speech, "This unfortunately isn't much, just water and a salad I prepared this morning that has been in the fridge of my workplace until I clocked out, but please feel free to accept it from me with no strings attached of course if you'd like." And she had just rambled a bit, but Aptera decidedly set her mind on not dwelling on that either and on keeping as much bravery and collectedness as a part of her bearing as she could manage.

Palatine had no idea what the hell was going on or what this Caedus guy was saying. She was pretty sure she'd missed something before arriving. And probably before that, too, considering there were people spouting off things and throwing out names that she had absolutely no recollection of. Beryl, Metallia, Nealite, Charonite. Who the hell were they even?

She would have asked, but she was thirty-four forty years old and didn't want to look like some ignorant school kid who hadn't done her homework.

It was bad enough that her kid was being rude and dramatic. Palatine covered her face with one hand and tried to count to ten.

One... two... three...

Not working.

Eventually she gave up and resolved to pretend that there was absolutely no relation between them. It wasn't like anyone could tell just by looking at them. Actually, on a normal basis, as civilians, they probably could. She had no clue whether or not that was the case while powered up. She wasn't really all that well versed in powered business.

Clearly.

But she was trying. Sort of.

Palatine listened to Caedus and let the others do the talking. She couldn't think of anything to ask that hadn't already been voiced. So there was a way to go to the Negaverse's hideout and kick their asses? Only not, according to one knight, because they'd get seriously ******** up in the process. That was in no way reassuring, and she looked at Caedus with a raised brow as if to ask what he meant to do about that. They couldn't really pull off a coordinated attack against this Metallia... person?... disembodied thing? (like the Code?)... if they all ended up dying before they even got there.

There was a lot of squawking going on. All the many voices mingled together—both good and bad.

She pinched the bridge of her nose with her fingers.

“Children, please...”

Palatine looked over at Varuna and added, “If you feel like anyone needs to chill out, go ahead and snow the ******** out of them.”
