Jason was thankful there was nothing in their path ready to ambush them, but when he reached the ramparts his heart sank. There were shadowlings here too. At least there weren't as many.
He went about finding suitable to thrown down to the bridge, and managed to a table that was still intact. Picking up said table he went to the edge in order to throw it.
Luckily he made it without incident

He picked up said barrel to go take it to the edge, when a shadowling jumped out at him. Juggling it in his hands he just barely manages to hold on.

He was, in retrospect, surprised with how quickly he could even move. His boots slammed into the stone, voice roaring out over the sounds of the battle around them. Or perhaps that was only the roaring of his pulse in his ears, the threat overhead lurching him forward to try and get the knights out of the way of the potential blaze. Perhaps one had heard him, or perhaps something deeper warned them of incoming danger. One looked up, first to him, then to the creature that loomed over the wall.
The first began to pull their comrades away, while Neithan managed to grab hold of two more and rip them backwards from the creatures they were combating. Their protests died quickly on paling lips when they caught sight of the greater threat, quickly turning with him and their fellows to escape the range as the tar dragon unleashed its explosive breath upon them. Neithan ducked, shoving the two knights with him forward to try and hasten their escape. Fire scorched his back and he was sure his flesh would be raw for a time to come, but it was not as bad as it could have been.
Thanks were brief, barely nods to confirm everyone still had their wits about them. Then it was back to the fight. Things were not yet over.

My character's name: Neithan Character's journal link:Here BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER A tall man with a broad, muscular build, the dark-skinned and fair-haired Neithan can be easily picked out of a crowd. That he has a tendency to linger towards the back of them certainly assists in this. Slow to speak to others, despite his usually narrowed gaze he can be civil to any he passes. His preference for space and few words might earn him a frosty reputation among some, but the simple attire and warm light brown eyes does match the simple pleasures he finds in smaller gatherings and lighter conversations. All a great contrast to the immensely fiery temper he possesses, something he's still struggling to fully rein in despite training. Neithan is a man of action first, deliberation second, something fueled quite easily in his experience by his sheer size, strength, and explosive determination.
