Gale's search yielded some strange crack along the wall, as if it had recently been broken into. It was hastily covered up with a hard mortar, impossible to crack unless he actually had his weapon back, and even then that was an if. There was also some ripped fabric along the wall - it looked like another Hunter's coat, but not anyone from this group.
Otto would find part of the wall was covered in the same sand he was standing on. As he tapped against it, it began to crumble, until it revealed a strange structure, a long stone slab nestled inwards. There was writing along the side.
Sacrifice one and you can pass.
Sam meanwhile, moved quickly, twisting to one side, almost too fast, as if anticipating Lawr's attack. The dagger slashed her side, the blade cut shallow, but she did an amazing job of screaming bloody murder. Side bleeding just enough, she collapsed on the ground, writhing.
Charlotte stared at Lawr with a shocked expression. Lawr might have had a weapon, but the Moon assistant was a little more trained, and out of just Runic bandages she had snagged both the Death trainee's arms and dagger into a tight knot. She pulled on the bandages with just one arm, using her foot as leverage, delicate stature betraying experience beneath.
Sam continued to moan loudly. "He-he tried to kill me too. Holy s**t-" She seemed to pass out.
Having successfully mummified and incapacitated Lawr, Charlotte exhaled, wiping sweat off her brow with her uninjured arm as she picked up the offensive weapon and pocketed it. She gave Lawr a stern look. "No trouble, please." A girl of very little words, she was off, racing to call Gale and Otto back and formulate some sort of plan. Perhaps she was a little afraid the two other Hunters would kill each other as well. Bittiface Being called back to the group! kurotomato Being called back to the group!

Immediately, water began to flood the maze, just as the door slid open behind Peyton, revealing a set of stairs leading upwards.
At the very top of the stairs there was a very particular room. It was a pretty shallow room and only contained a series of switches. A sign hung from the top.
One switch will free, one will kill, one will do nothing.
The switches in order from left to right were blue, green, and red. astaraei Lucky is close! If he finishes rolling an escape and does not reset @ 1's back to entrance, he makes it out too! As he does the door closes behind him.

As Stormy continued to dig, the pile shifted and shifted-
- To reveal the ticking noise was a pair of night vision goggles. The ticking stopped.
Everything went dark.

He hadn't actually expected her to push it, and he refused to meet her eye when she did and the water started to rise. None of this was real.Taym was having a hard time imagining Peyton with a gun. Which didn't exactly point any definite fingers at Lucky--who knew who else was in the maze with them; who knew what diversions and distractions with no roots in reality had been planted?--but it made him uneasy, nonetheless. Trying to tamp down on his shivering--Taym, who was always cold at the best of times, was not coping well--he shot Lucky a look after staring blankly at the switches and looking, frankly, a bit like he wanted to throw up. "Did you see where the other two went?" he asked.

He watched it crumble away, another terrible and ominous phrase etched into the slab on the wall. Sacrifice one... Lawr had already done that for them. Otto's mind began blowing off the dust and rust of his memories from years ago. The trials he'd taken part in. The betrayal, the loss of trust. The dying. His heart sank as he remembered Ami's dying scream. It was quickly followed by Sam's wail of anguish. Otto sprinted back to the others, his face scrunching in hate as he watched Lawr get tied down. That son of a b***h. He tried to kill Sam. He'd promised to protect her. To protect them all. He was doing a lousy job. Like always. "You scummy sunnuva b***h." Otto seethed angrily, his blood boiling beneath his pale skin. Sacrifice One. And they could pass. Otto brought out the runic gun once more. He aimed at Lawr's head. He fired.

{ Omega }Having Chel stand in front of her, even if it was in a mildly threatening manner that carried an edge of distrust, was still a small acceptance and Abbi did her best to stop her sobbing. Stormy had moved off to investigate the lockers again which gave the teen a few minutes to collect herself. At least until the other man stepped forward. Not waiting for her permission he moved in close and, ever hopeful to be a good girl, Abbi went stock still beyond tilting her head up to him with a sniffle. Oh! He was speaking really good French! Oh um... "V-vive le roi." She mumbled softly, doing her best accent given how stuffed up she sounded. Having taken French through out most of her schooling, she knew quite a lot, though she hadn't really caught what he was saying and was glad for the translation. But she was even more grateful for his kindness and nodded softly, giving him the best smile she could at the moment. At once Stormy came back and the ticking noise increased, the former quickly going bad with the information she gave. Abbi ran her hands over her now dry face before she decided a quick hug to the nice Frenchman was ok. It was over in a flash and then she rushed off to Stormy, helping to clear the weapons alongside her friend. "They're not... Really going to kill another group if we kill someone, right? They... They lied once already." She was going to say something else when instead the pile shifted to reveal a pair of goggles before it all went dark. A squeak left her and at first she snatched both her hands to her chest. Going backwards would lead her into the pile of weapons and that seemed awfully dangerous, so instead she shuffled forward slightly. "So uh... Anyone up for a game of Marco Polo?"

"Oui, vive le roi." He answered to her, giving her a wink, happy that she cheered up, just enough that she stopped crying. Then . . .
It went dark.
Dorian really hated dark buildings he couldn't get out of. It was like being slowly suffocated by an unseeable force and he just felt squickish about it. His gripe strengthened on the weapon until he could almost feel his fingers grinding the hilt. Taking a few steps forward, he tried to feel out someone, or something, that he could hold on to with his free hand, feeling a little shaky.
"Mais, Who is Marco." He asked out, trying to bite the frustration that he couldn't find any ******** person.

Chel grabbed Abbi's arm and began scrambling frantically towards the cabinet. She couldn't see it, but that had to be Jack's voice. NO. Milo too? What the heck was going on?? She needed to see that screen. They had to be okay.
Static.
Then darkness. She fumbled around for a moment, accidentally touching Abbi's boob before flinching and reaching to her arm. "Abbi? Stay close dude ... I'll protect you, okay? Even if you are evil or whatever."

Mission details, it seemed, were passé. He found himself sucked through what seemed to be the very spectrum itself, deposited neatly on the other end, in what appeared to be a prison cell. There was no Mark to be seen, of course, but there was Finn and Jack and both were struggling to pull open a grated door. Both looked entirely frazzled, and judging by their surroundings, Shiloh didn’t blame them. When he saw why they were pulling at the door, however, everything else was temporarily forgotten in his haste to reach the cell’s occupant. He had no words, at least none that anyone could hear and guessing from the lack of acknowledgement, no visible form either. He could hear them though, and the physical agony Ian was in. He knelt beside Ian without thinking, the artifact still in his hands, as he pressed them to the wound on Ian's leg as if he could somehow help. What the hell was this place? And how the hell was he going to find Mark? He felt a little woozy, as he glanced quickly around the room. What if more people were hurt?

DeltaThe button did what the Sun suspected it would. Water began to fill the maze faster and the door opened. She glanced back at Taym and Lucky, lips pressed in a thin line, then rushed upward, into the room with it's mysterious switches and yet another ominous sign requesting that they make some sort of choice. It was so simple, but every thing they did had consequences, didn't it? A glance over her shoulder showed the water rising up rapidly, and Peyton thought of Kostya, and the unknown moon they'd left behind. They hadn't made it to the door, and she doubted there was another way out. There'd been a gunshot, one of them might have already been dead. The other might have been the killer. She clung to that idea as she moved closer to the panel of switches, looking them over. Taym had avoided her eyes, and she let him. Keeping her head down as she listened to him question Lucky. Lucky who seemed so harmless. She had a hard time picturing him as a murderer, but she had to admit she didn't really know him all that well. Not as well as she would have liked. Folding her arms over her own stomach, she finally turned to look at the two, waiting for Lucky's answer.

Lawr had figured there was more to Sam than met the eye, but he hadn't trusted his gut. He was resigned to paying the price of that mistake, at least for the time being, he made no move to struggle or fight the Moon assistant as he was promptly incapacitated and pinned, simply looking rather nonplussed by the whole affair.
He gave Sam a curious look from where he lay before patiently setting about testing the bandages for give, impressed at how well Charlotte, who seemed like the underdog knew her way around them.
"Seems you can't trick a trickster." he said aloud, his tone concessionary - fairly sure Sam could hear him regardless.
When Otto got back he was about to plead his innocence and sheer sincerity, how he'd been completely set up.
He never actually got the chance before the trigger got pulled.

She didn't hesitate; the goggles went on just as the lights went out. The ticking was done and she could finally think.
But really, what was there to think about? It was either save their group or save another's, assuming they too didn't die for acting. It was, at its core, just sacrificing one life for the chance of many more. She did not agree with everyone in that group--but she did not agree on letting them all die by her inaction either. Not again.
What gave her the right to kill someone then?
Nothing did, she supposed.
Stormy had never feared the darkness, only those that hid within. And she was beginning to wonder if she was becoming one of those monsters. But if it meant that the others didn't have to be . . .
Quietly as she could, she traded out her weapon for something smaller, and the Mist navigated through the shadows, giving people a wide berth until she found the blond hunter. For a moment she bit the inside of her cheek, her heart thumping wildly. This was wrong. This was wrong. This was all wrong.
But, unfortunately, it also seemed necessary.
She rounded behind Melvin, tried to put a hand to his face in hopes of smothering his nose and mouth (she didn't want to scare the others and didn't want this lasting long), and aimed her dagger to try and give a deep slice at his jugular.

The sound immediate had Charlotte running back towards the group, the Moon Assistant's eyes wide with shock as she tried to wrangle the gun out of Otto's grasp.
Lawr lay on the ground, his hair a bloody mess. He was fortunately still conscious. Thankfully the Runic weapon was not geared to kill, not cleanly at least. If Lawr survived this entire ordeal, he would have to probably do something about his singed hair, though it was probably the least of his worries.
"Stop- stop!" Sam groaned, and struggled to prop herself on one elbow. "I'm- I'm okay. I'll survive." She hissed deeply in pain, clutching at her bleeding side. "We got to- we got to move on. Does anyone have any clues as to how?"
To play a good game, one always had to be at least five steps ahead.

He'd thought he'd found something, but it was difficult to tell; and before he'd had a chance to examine it further, there was a yell from further down, and it was not the yell of an older man, like Lawr was.
Which could only mean one thing, really.
Gale twisted around, right on Otto's footsteps as they ran back to where the others were. Sam lay on the ground, moaning (though her wound, at least at first glance) looked superficial. It was made blatantly obvious, however, what had happened, Gale giving Lawr one fleeting glance before the pieces clicked into place.
"Otto," said Gale warningly, reaching out a hand towards him. He wasn't sure if he was trying to stop him or encourage him, but either way it was too late.
He knew the sound of a gunshot all too well, after all.

All Ian felt for a second at Shiloh's phantom help was a bare whisper. It sounded like someone calling for him. It sounded like his weapon.
And for a second the bracelet's effects were cancelled, as he heard his weapon calling again, as he bonded just enough for the pain on his leg to ease a little more, for the bleeding to lessen-
- And then it was silent again.
