"I find it all very hard to believe." King Trogan would speak at last, his voice a clear sign of his strength and soul... "You may have my wife's amulet, you may even have drafted together a band of believable characters...but how can I be sure you are my son?" his eyes were narrowed towards Tala...

"Trogan," Lyssandra placed a hand on her husband's arm, then rose from her throne, making her way towards the boy whom she stood infront of momentarily before crouching down to look Tala in the eye, "We can open the amulet..." she looked to the Blue Mage, "You took care of it long enough...I'm sure you know how to make it work..."

Trogan wasn't impressed, but listened quietly to his wife as she addressed the Mage, he had seen many people arrive with children claiming them to be the 'Lost Child of Eskadi' but each and every one of them had been fraudulent... What was to say this wasn't another well-thought-out ploy for his fortune...?

(oh right >< lol I was close just off by 1 letter lol -hugs-)

The blue mage nodded, looking to Jack and held his hand out. The amulet would come out and return to his hand, landing softly. Gently he nodded a thank you to Jack before turning to the queen and softly handed it to her. "Now if I recall my memory correct you Queen Lyssandra hold onto the amulet as Tala shall also place his hand upon it. I shall then have my power fill the spaces on its surface. If Tala is the true son of Trogan and Lyssandra's bloodline then it shall open. If not then it shall remain sealed as it has before. Do you approve King Trogan?" The mage asked looking to Trogan with knowing eyes.

He would then turn to Lyssandra and Tala, gently tapping Tala's right hand with his cane to get him to place it on the amulet with her holding it. "Now then....let's begin now." He said gently moving his free hand up and over, water lifting up from a bowl in the room and moved over to the amulet, starting to thin out and began to spread over the amulet, filling in any empty lines with a soft blue, some strips changing to green as they went over the amulet. He would watch to see it giving a soft glow, watching to see if it would open or stay closed, knowing it would open but would simply watch not speaking. Rosa also watched, curious and hoping it would open and show Tala was their long missing only son, wanting to see the family happy and together again.

Trogan would remain silent, but would close his eyes and nod before watching as his Wife approached the Mage...

The guards would allow Tala to rise to his feet, releasing his arms to he could take part... Reluctantly the male outstretched his right hand, placing it upon the orb.

He would flinch as he felt the touch of Lyssandra's hand upon his as she followed the Mage's order, then the room would fall silent...Everyone watching intently as the water started to affect the amulet...

Trogan seemed to sit up on his throne, leaning forward slightly as the amulet would begin to glow...

Rosa watched as did the mage. The amulet would glow softly then brighter slowly for some moments before it would stat to dim before becoming brighter again. It seemed to be taking its time. The mage was worried it wasn't going to open but smiled when after a bit he heard a click and seen a gap between the lower and upper part of the amulet. He nodded, watching them both pleased.

Rosa inhaled a bit sharp as she stared stunned at the sight but was happy for Tala. She couldn't take her eyes off the amulet, not speaking, not sure what to say if anything at all, just watching the queen and Tala with the amulet.

Lyssandra would lift her eyes, locking them with Tala's for a moment as the amulet opened, then, her face would change...a smile breaking upon her lips...

"I don't believe it...!" She cast all caution to the wind and threw her arms around the boy...

Tala gave a startled yelp, falling backwards and away from her... He hadn't expected such a move and the touch was foreign to him, no doubt the Mage would catch the orb, saving it from falling to the ground...

Lyssandra would pull back, her hand rising to her lips, wondering what had caused such a reaction... The guards would rush forward, reaching for the boy with the idea of helping him to his feet, but instead causing him to freak out more...

"Back off!" Trogan would rise from his throne having seen it all, the guards would draw back and Tala would scramble to his feet, darting out through the door...

The throne room would be void of all motion, no sound except for that of a silver plate which had fallen to the floor and now spun itself out, leaving the room in an awkward silence...

The mage had caught the amulet and sighed, watching this happen. Rosa curtsied bowing her head and moved swiftly out after Tala. The mage watched silently then spoke after a bit. "It seems we have found your son. But...as it is, he hasn't been around people much and will take him time to adjust my Queen. Give him time to adjust, alright? He will not be leaving, I shall have him and Princess Rosa stay the night at the castle if you approve." The mage said watching her then the King with polite eyes and gave a polite bow.

Rosa ran after Tala, catching up she'd reach out and grab his arm to stop him. "Tala, wait! Come here, slow down and breath. I know this is new to you and foreign but please give it time or a chance as you had with Catan and myself. Can you give the King and Queen here a chance to get to know you? I seen how excited she was. She is a mother who was in loss of her child and in seeing that orb open apparently told her you were her son. Do you think leaving now will fix things?" She asked softly in her kind caring voice.

She held onto his arm firmly but gently, her eyes concerned and caring as she watched him. She wanted him happy but wanted him to give them a chance and not to run away. "I'll stay by your side the entire time if it'll help. Okay?" She asked, trying to give him some encouragement to get to know the couple.

Queen Lyssandra dropped her eyes and nodded, "I understand..." she breathed a sigh, "I just couldn't believe it was really him..."

"I shall reopen the access to his room." Trogan would sit back in his throne, "He shall be treated as though he never disappeared... The girl, shall be provided her own room." his eyes would drift across to Jack who would nod and leave to round up a handful of maids...
~*~*~

Tala gave a growl as Rosa caught hold of him... He would whip round, but wouldn't strike her, even though he had raised his free hand to do so...

"Let go." Dropping his arm and trying to stop himself from doing anything stupid, Tala gave her a warning growl, narrowing his eyes at her. He would pull his arm away when she let go before breathing a sigh and slumping back against the wall... He would then slide down said wall and sit with his knees drawn up to his chest...

"This is too fast..." he buried his head in his arms... the situation more than confusing to him... The fact only moments before, he had been thrown into the cells as a criminal, now he was royalty?
PostPosted: Tue Oct 30, 2012 3:25 pm

Rosa sighed, kneeling down beside Tala and softly placed a hand on his shoulder then hugged him, holding him close to her. "I know its a lot but we'll take it one step at a time, okay? This was your mother's last wish, remember? Just give it time, I'll be here to help you. I promise. I won't leave you and if you try to run I'll follow you." She said softly but it showed in her tone she would follow after him and not leave him be as she truly wished to help him be happy.

She was quiet, holding him close, a soft coolness came from her hands, the power of snow coming from her as she held him close to her. She wasn't going to let him run, wanting to help him.

The mage in the throne room looked to the queen nodding. "Maybe you should take a walk and if you see Tala introduce yourself and explain to him you were just excited because the amulet had not opened with anyone else but him. And...you may show him what is inside of it if you wish to." He said gently, walking up patting her shoulder. "It'll be okay. Just give him time. He was a loner, wanderer, protector of royalty, a prisoner, and now he's royalty. He's been all over almost. He needs to rest and get adjusted. It'll take him time to adjust." The mage explained calmly, watching her then looked to the King then the Queen again.

Lyssandra would nod, understanding completely what the Blue Mage was saying, she would remain standing there a while longer however before placing the amulet around her neck.

"We shall take no more meetings today." Trogun rose from his throne and made his way towards his wife, "Send them all away, I shall take council again tomorrow." He would mutter something to his wife, then lead her from the throne room.
~*~*~

Rosa would feel Tala tense up again as she wrapped her arms around him, but her cooling touch didn't seem so bad compared to the heat of the Queen's embrace... Lyssandra's energy had been all wrong, she was excited at the fact that Tala was indeed her missing child and her sudden embrace had made him panic...

"Naneth never warned me of this." Tala wouldn't lift his head until he heard the footsteps of the guards as they made their rounds... The men passed them without a word, but Tala watched them closely...

Eventually, Tala would let Rosa know he was done with sitting around with her wrapped around him... he would gently push her away, then rise to his feet... standing there for a moment before walking off down the corridor - he knew she would follow him and therefore wouldn't walk too fast, but intended to make his way out into the grounds for some fresh air...

Rosa would watch him and nod softly as she watched him, standing and followed Tala, walking beside him. She was happy he didn't shove her away as he might have normally done. She could tell this would take him time to get used to human affection and touches and such but was sure it would all work out in the end.

The mage had went to take care of the meetings to ensure they were canceled so they could have time to handle this new information. He was pleased, finding this good to see things were working out, happy he could reunite mother and son. After he left and took care of the meetings he sighed when alone looking out at the gardens to see if Tala and Rosa were there, figuring he'd not stay in one place long. "I've brought back the Queen's son and heir to the throne but....now what do I have to do here? I'm not sure what my duty is but to protect the royal family." He thought silently, staring down at the beautiful garden below the second floor window.

Tala would say very little after that; he would make his way out into the gardens, leaning against the barrier overlooking the expanse that was rows of potted and naturally grown plants... It was a beautiful landscape, but much tamer than what he was used to in Sune...

He was somewhat grateful for Rosa's presence, but at the same time yearned for a short moment of solitude to work over the day's events...

Lyssandra and Trogun would make their way out into the garden for their own walk, but couldn't help but notice the pair standing silently across the courtyard from them...

The Queen would look to her husband quietly, then approach, taking Rosa by the hand and quietly leading her away for a walk elsewhere, whilst Trogun took up the girl's position...

Tala kept his gaze ahead of him, as did the King... Neither said a word and remained silent for some time...

"I want to thank you for bringing him back to me..." Lyssandra would say quietly as she walked away from the scene with Rosa, "We had all but given up hope of ever seeing our son again...it's been so long...and there have been so many people after the reward..." She felt a little guilty about leading the girl away and almost feared that by doing so, her son would try to run away again... but she put the greatest of trust in the King and hoped that somehow the pair would find some similarity between them that would bring Tala back round to them...

Rosa followed standing with Tala silently. She'd look over and follow Lyssandra over to the side and blink before nodding listening to her speak. "It's fine, don't worry. I'm just trying to help. He has helped me so much. I didn't even know there was a reward. You don't have to give me anything. I don't want anything in return. I'm fine." Rosa said, not wanting to seem like she was doing it just for the reward or would be just doing it for a reward once she heard of it.

Lyssandra would lead Rosa to her own special part of the garden where she would sit and watch the fish swimming in the large pond there... "Can you tell me about your time with him? I'm eager to hear what he's been up to all these years..." she of course didn't know they had only known eachother for a short time...

Trogan and Tala would stand in silence for a long time, both looking out across the gardens before them...

They would remain like this for many minutes, neither saying a word before eventually, Trogan broke the silence...

He seemed to have attracted the attention of a passing fly which proceeded to whizz between the pair for a moment before the King would swat it away...

Tala would quickly catch it on the rebound, making the insect disappear in a puff of smoke... Trogan was quite taken aback by this and would look on, intrigued...then he would chuckle...

Lifting his eyes Tala would tilt his head, wondering why the man was making such a noise, drawing back a little as Trogan let out such a laugh - one which he hadn't done in so long...

It was so loud Lyssandra would also hear it over the sound of the fountains, she would seem overjoyed having not heard her husband make such a sound since before the incident, but would remain seated, eager to hear Rosa's stories...

"It's not that funny..." Tala guessed it had been the fact he'd fried a fly that had set the man off,

"Ahah..." Trogan wiped his eyes, "Hrrum... yes, you're right..." he was still chuckling, but was calming himself down now... "Was good though..."

The pair would return to their silent observation of the gardens, neither acting as though anything had happened - even when a concerned guard had wandered past, eyeing them curiously...

"...Watch this."

Tala would glance at the King, watching as he picked up a small pebble, then cast his eyes towards the guard as he made his way down the steps and away from them...

Trogan would barely move his hand and the pebble would shoot towards the guard, curving as it flew before bounding off the man's helmet and sending him down the stairs...

Tala had to admit the King was a good shot, what got him however was the resounding 'Ping' as the pebble had connected... He couldn't hide his amusement, no matter how hard he tried...

"We had better move..." Trogan gave Tala a nudge and started to walk in the opposite direction...

Tala cast a glance back towards the guard, then nodded, hopping the barrier before dropping down into the garden below... This was Trogan's turn to be impressed and the man quickened his pace in order to meet up with the boy before they were detected...

Rosa went with her and sat down when motioned to and smiled, blushing lightly. "Well I haven't known him long but so far we've been traveling together after he lost his friend and mentor Catarn. He lost him and so I began traveling with him because it was my fault he lost his friend. The Demon King is after me and when i met up with Tala and the Red Mage that was when things went bad for them. Since then we have been running away from the Demon King who wants me because I can seal him away or kill him...." Rosa said softly, her voice trailing off as she touched her necklace.

"He has fought to keep me safe from the Demon King and I'm thankful for it. I would not had survived if not for Tala. He's done so much for me and helped so greatly. He's a very kind man. I can tell that and I'm so glad he is. He struggles with dealing with others because I suppose cause he was in Sune all his life till he met and traveled with Catarn. When we went into Sune he was so happy, he was smiling, laughing, playing, he was having such a great time with the dogs or wolf pack there that seemed like he and they were brothers not two different species. It was amazing."

Rosa said softly, telling Lyssandra of her and Tala's travels so far and how he'd protected her and kept her from harm, even risking himself in her opinion to keep her safe. "I haven't tried to use this power yet. I need to learn and practice to use it so I can defeat the Demon King and restore peace and try to revive the Elder Tree, Tala's adopted mother." She said looking to her nodding gently.

"He sounds so chivalrous..." Lyssandra smiled, then breathed a sigh, "It sounds like you've had such adventures..." she dropped her eyes, wishing she'd been there to see her son grow up into the young man he was now...

"But Wolves...?" She found that a little hard to take in... "I never thought such a soul could reside in that forest... I'm sure Jack has told you how many lives have been lost trying to explore such a location..."

She was also curious as to why Rosa would want to save a forest of such evil, but had to sympathise that if the Elder Tree had brought up her son, there had to be something they could do to help...

"Feel free to use the training areas here to build up whatever skills you require, We have many aides who will gladly assist you if you need it..." She lifted her eyes as the familiar shape of her husband passed by the entrance to her 'secret hideaway' then she looked back at Rosa, "I'm sure those two are bound to be up to no good... that belly laugh I heard earlier leaves me thinking they might just be bonding..." she lifted a hand to her mouth with a chuckle, then rose to her feet,

"Are you hungry?" she tilted her head, "I often take an afternoon snack in the gardens, but if those two are messing around, I wouldn't want to intrude..." she smiled again, then made her way to the entrance of her secret-hideaway, glancing around before waving Rosa out as the coast had become clear...
