LOCATION: Apprentice's den COMPANY: Skypounce, Stormsky >> Griffonsea OOC: xx
The tom’s growl caught Sky (lol the irony) completely by surprise. He thought he was being nice and polite, as he had witnessed other cats doing in the clan. Evidently this was not the correct way to apologise, although Sky had no idea why not. He opened his mouth to say something, but at that moment the she-cat stepped forwards and pushed herself in between them, squishing herself against Sky’s chest and making him stumble back in surprise. He braced himself for a barrage of angry words from the she-cat, but instead they were directed at her brother and not him. Sky’s head tilted to one side, the confusion evident on his face as he openly stared at the two warriors like a newborn kit. ”How the other warriors look at you?” He asked curiously in his gruff monotone. It would have been funny how out of place his voice sounded. but considering the situation, “funny” was probably the last thing on anyone’s mind.
Almost immediately, another soft pelt brushed against his own, making him shuffle away an inch or two as his fur bristled uncomfortably under Griffonsea’s touch. Personal space might not be an issue for Sky, but other cats touching him certainly was. As he was still new to socialising with other cats, he was still not used to other cats touching him in whatever way. His ears pricked when she offered to get him some new poss for his nest, making his ears grow hot in embarrassment. He could take care of himself perfectly fine, there was no need for her to lend him a helping paw like that! ”Uh, that won’t be necessary, I can get a squirrel or something for the fur -” He didn’t even get to finish his sentence before Griffonsea trotted off, leaving him standing in the middle of the clearing looking like a lost kitten.
Eventually, after seeing Griffonsea head back into the apprentice’s den with a huge mouthful of moss, he uttered a grunt of defeat and trotted in after her. As much as he hated to admit it, the nest looked considerably nicer than the one he had made for himself, which consisted of him throwing together a mixture of moss and fur from various types of prey, along with a few stray feathers that might have been quite a few weeks old. ”Uh...I appreciate your help and you have my gratitude. Is that the correct way to say it?” His eyes formed into confused squints as he thanked Griffonsea, repeating words that he had heard someone else say before when thanking another cat.

Let me heal... :。✿*゚‘゚・✿.。.:*.:。✿*゚’゚・✿.。
Kindsoul flinched at Skypounce's reaction, but she knew it could have truly hurt. She was glad when Griffonsea stepped in , and she made her way over to Stormsky and Skypounce. "I hope you will be okay." She said to Skypounce. "Seems the new tom has yet to get his night legs." She laughed lightly, not wanting to make fun of Sky, but hoping laughter would cheer the grumpy tom up some. Then she moved over to the fish that had been flung in the collision. She tried to dust some of the dirt off it with her tail, hoping it was not soiled. Waisting a fish like that would be a shame. "How about you Stormsky, are you alright?" She wished Rarepaw was awake, the little she-cat, while often coming off as rude, knew better what to say in situations like this and was not so shy. Kindsoul felt more confident with her around.
Skypounce was happy when Griffionsea took the new rouge away. He looked down at his throbbing paw, pain in his gaze. He softens slightly as Kindsoul speaks to him.
"It's okay, I guess."
He moves away from his sister, sitting down and resting his paw. He hoped she wouldn't be mad at him. He purrs and chuckles softly at her remark about the rouge.
"I guess we all must get used to the camp. Not all of us are born here."
~Stormsky~
"I'm alright."
Stormsky purrs out. She was glad when her brother calmed down. She watches the she-cat bring over the fish. She decides to finish off the fish with a few swift bites. She pads away from the two, muttering softly to Kindsoul as she passes.
"Thank you."
She flicks her tail and moves over to the destroyed nest, looking at it.
"I'm sorry, Sky, Griffonsea. My brother is in a lot of pain. He's just grumpy is all."
She says softly, scraping up some of the dirty moss in a ball.
"Would you like some help?"

"Glad to hear it." Kindsoul said happily, and purrs briefly to see he's cheered up a bit by her remark. It was so much better when her clan-mates were happy. She dipped her head to Stormsky, as the she-cat thanked her when she passed. She takes a seat where she is, hoping as she was before she came out of the den, that the cool air would make her sleepy enough to go to bed soon. "Silverpelt sure is beautiful." She thought to herself, looking up at it. It was comforting to have Starclan watching over then, and she knew her and Rarepaw's parents were there together. We they happy to see their kits had become friends? Were her parents proud of her becoming a warrior? Of course they must be, there would be no reason for them not to be. Kindsoul's only regret was that she couldn't go on patrols or hunt with her parents as fellow warriors. She's have to wait until she joined Starclan for that.

Ivoryscale
You might believe, the sun is the source of the ocean's shimmering beauty. But truthfully, it's the ivory scales floating beneath the water.
██████████████████████████████████████████
Ivoryscale finished off grooming the last bit of his fur. He glanced up at the sky and blinked at it blankly. Today was a long day, he could feel the aches clogging between his joints. It's also rewarding not talking to a she-cat for once, especially now that there's a new tom in the camp. The white-furred warrior pulled his glance over to Sky and watched him follow Griffonsea with that confused look on his face.
Ivoryscale continued to study the tom in suspicion. He had the knowledge of a newborn kit, barely knowing a thing about the clan life. Rogues were even aware about the four clans. Ivoryscale then tried to speculate a prediction. The shimmering sky caught his attention, causing the tom to stare back at the sky once more. Could Sky be, a cat that fell from the skies? From Starclan? Ivoryscale shot a serious stare at Sky and pondered at his prediction. But soon after, he cracked a disbelieving chuckle and looked away from Sky, both the tom and the sky itself. What a ridiculous prophecy.

Kindsoul nodded to Ivoryscales when she saw him, but by his looks he seemed to be enjoying some time alone, so she stayed where she was. It was lucky for him Rarepaw had gone to sleep, or she had no doubt that she would be hounding her mentor about training the next day. There should be no shortage of things still to do tomorrow. They had to preform all of the regular patrols hunts and training, while trying to finish recovering from the ground shake.
With a big yawn, she dipped her head to the warriors around her, and decided she was tired enough now for some sleep. She turned around, her tail swaying to and fro, and entered the warriors den, into her nest, careful not to step on any sleeping cats, and then curled up and fell asleep.
The Reference book has been updated, but in summary, it is MORNING on MAY the 25th (1 week timeskip). It is CLOUDY, but it is not RAINING. Tonight is the FULL MOON, but right now it is MORNING.
Situational:
Oceanmist & Serenepaw returned from the MOONPOOL a week ago, and they brought home GRAVE NEWS: StarClan is warning the Clans of TRAITORS and STRANGERS. The Clans should be on their guard.
For SeaClan, this means that Sky has become a threat. Tensions are running high as SeaClan is divided about whether or not Sky's existence in one category means he is in the other as well. He is a STRANGER, but will he be a TRAITOR?
Important Bits:
Shiftstar, you are leading a TERRAIN PATROL, starting with the RIVER MOUTH and APPRENTICE'S COVE. This is in order to test which areas are still unsafe to use. APPRENTICE'S COVE flooded and was filled with boulders a week ago; warriors have been moving them out, and you are there to finish moving sharp rocks and check the area. The cove has deepened since the earthquake and could be unstable. Players feel free to join. State in your post that Shiftstar ordered you to come if you want to join.
Dragonfire (NPC) is going to lead a HUNTING PATROL. Players feel free to join. State in your post that Dragonfire ordered you to come if you want to join.
Dragonfire padded to the center of camp, her eyes glowing softly. It was time for the hunt to begin in order to feed her mighty gladiators. No, wait. Warriors. That's what they're called. Right. A moment of absent thought had led her back to her old ways. She had to remind herself she was a warrior now, and to one of the best Clans there was. Flicking her tail, she called her warriors to go on a hunting patrol. Once her chosen warriors had gathered, she flicked her tail and led them towards the River. (( At this point, you will state whether or not she called your name for your own. Hopefully this system of "join in if you want" will help smooth transitions and allow people to join in when they want to rather than when they are told. ))
Griffonsea perked up her ears as Dragonfire called her name for a hunting patrol. She hopped up alongside her rival, eyes flashing knowingly. I'm gonna catch a huge fish just like old times, Griffonsea, she thought playfully, and it'll be so much cooler than your fish!
(( PM me if you are confused or have any questions about this setup. <3 y'all. ))

Serenepaw sat outside the den, she looked to the sky, it was cloudy, dark, though morning, a dreary essence hung in the air and she looked towards where Sky had been staying since his arrival. A shiver trailed down her back, he had no bad intentions, correct? He seemed calm, not bad, yet everyone felt tension around the tom, and she had to admit she was somewhat influenced by this, feeling herself wanting to hate the tom, to feel suspicious against him, yet she couldn't quite do it, it wasn't in her nature to hate or be mean, suspicious, it just wasn't her.
The felidae shifted uncomfortably somewhat, most cats were now mingling around and she had already ate, very lightly though, seeing as the Warrior's would need the prey more than she would, after all they had duties to perform, and she was only here to heal them and take care of them, nobody was hurt either, so she assumed she was fine and didn't need to eat. The fresh-kill pile however, appeared quite small, she was glad the Deputy was now organizing a patrol, and she heard that Dragonfire would be leading the patrol, she thought about it quietly to herself, and didn't say anything, she began to focus more on what she had heard at the Moonpool.
Rarepaw glared around the camp, upset that she was stuck here because her mentor was nowhere to be found this morning. She was almost a warrior for Starclan's sake! Besides, Kindsoul got to go, even if it was only hunting. "It's not fair." She mumbled, rocking a rock with her paw.
That Camp wasn't very nice now anyways, with tensions so high. She knew Kindsoul trusted Sky, but she would also trust a cat from the Dark forest as long as they didn't hurt her personally. Any cat could be a traitor and Rarepaw didn't like wondering which cats in her clan could be betraying them. Deciding to make herself useful, she grabbed some moss in her jaws, and wet it, making her way up to the elders den. The elders were nice enough at least, and she knew none of them were double agents.

Kindsoul gave Rarepaw an apologetic look as Dragonfire called her name, knowing Rarepaw would probably act like an angry badger being stuck here. However, Kindsoul was happy to be out hunting for her clan, she wanted them to be as strong as they could be, and that required some good food! With a few quick bounds, she was behind the patrol following them out of camp.

Lostpaw
"Real tears are not those that fall from the eyes and cover the face, but those that fall from the heart and cover the soul."
SeaClan----Apprentice
Lostpaw slipped out of the nursery, coming from having delivered prey to the queens. His white fur was tinged grey with dirt from the amount of work he and the other cats had to do over the past week. He hadn't had a chance for a proper washing and felt as though his paws were about to drop off at any moment. The tension in the cam didn't help. He was always wary of strangers, but the way everyone was treating Sky, as though he were about to attack any one of them at any moment, made things worse. For once, he was glad that he could barely hear anything, it prevented him from hearing worried whispers.
The white apprentice saw Rarepaw carrying moss to the elders den and Dragonfire, his idle both in camp. Whenever he saw Dragonfire it reminded him of how she'd saved him and it hardened his resolve to work his hardest and be like her.
Rarepaw stepped out of the Elders den, cheered up a bit by them. They were wise and always good at telling stories, often the tension in the clan seemed to fall off of the Elders, like the were immune to it. As she leapt down she spotted Lostpaw, who was also stuck in camp. "Lostpaw, over here!" She called, leaping over to him. "You got stuck here too, huh?" She looked him over and sighed, his pelt was dirty as Stormclan. "Come on, we should do something productive, let me help you get that pelt clean." She offered.

Lostpaw
"Real tears are not those that fall from the eyes and cover the face, but those that fall from the heart and cover the soul."
SeaClan----Apprentice
Lostpaw heard Rarepaw call to him and looked up at her. "R'r'paw!" He greeted her and jumped to his paws. "Ah h'lped th' queens in th' nurs'ry. How 'r' th' elders?" Lostpaw asked as he shook the dust from his pelt. He licked his shoulder vigorously, returning his pelt to its sleek white shine. Lostpaw hadn't had as much training over the past days since the earthquake because so much of the clan's efforts had been focus on repairing the camp. Still, a shadow of doubt was cast across his mind. He wouldn't be an effective hunter if he couldn't hear his prey. Lostpaw said nothing about this, however. He knew he couldn't go about complaining.
Dangerseer Seaclan | Warrior “To find yourself, think for yourself.”
Dangerseer padded over to the fresh-kill pile. She looked skeptically at the low stock. She flicked her tail and sighed. She hoped that she would be going on the hunting patrol. She walked away from the fresh-kill pile and crouched at the edge of the camp. She could eat later, the prey should go to the elders and the queens, the cats who needed it more. She half closed her eyes as she looked around the camp. She watched Rarepaw approached her son Lostpaw. Though she would never admit it, looking at Lostpaw always reminded her of her brother, Cloudeyes.
Dangerseer watched her son talking with the fellow apprentice. It was a relief to see him interacting with another apprentice. He'd always been so shy and withdrawn. The grey queen flicked her tail, watching the other cats.
"They're doing good." Rarepaw replied, giving Lostpaw an approving look at his slightly cleaner pelt. He needed to make sure to take care of himself! "They're such good storytellers, and non of this tension in the clan gets to them." She explained, giving her own shoulder a quick lick. "How are the Queens doing? And the Kits?" Rarepaw's head turned in the direction of the nursery, wondering not for the first time, if she would ever find herself in there one day. First, she'd need to become a warrior her clan could be proud of, of course. And then there was finding the right tom...thoughts for another time. "I haven't seen Ivoryscales around anywhere, my mentor seems to be very busy, but we're so close to becoming warriors, I can almost taste it!" Her feet danced in place, excited even now at the thought.
:。✿*゚‘゚・✿.。.:*.:。✿*゚’゚・✿.。 ...So I'm not forgotten.
"Real tears are not those that fall from the eyes and cover the face, but those that fall from the heart and cover the soul."

Th' queens 'n' kits 'r' f'n," Lostpaw assured Rarepaw. "Th' kits d'n't know wh' happ'n'd. Th'r scar'd, but okah," The white apprentice, being only a week or so into his own training knew most of the kits a degree. He wanted to reassure the little bundles of fur (all smaller than himself) that everything was going to be okay. If he was going to be as strong as Dragonfire, he had to let the rest of SeaClan know that everything was going to be okay. As the young apprentice, he didn't know about the tension between the clans or the danger of war. His concerns lay in training (which he hadn't had much of) and playing with his friends.
"It'll beh muhns b'fore I b'come ah warrior," Lostpaw said sadly. He'd had very little battle training and still didn't know anything about hunting; not to mention, his partial deafness would slow his warrior training. He perked up a little, looking up at Rarepaw."Wan ta prahct'ce f'ght'n'?" He asked. Play fighting was something he enjoyed doing after all, even though he was much smaller and didn't know how to fight yet.
