"Either way," Gannon turned and offered his hand to Hikari. "We can talk about this when we get back. I'm sure that Mana and Miko are worried about you, and you need your rest." Turning to look at the two newcomers, the Teru called out "I'd be careful when talking about monsters. The boy who called wolf 'n all that. G'night."

Hikari~
She reached up and took hold of the offered hand, allowing him to pull her up. "S-sorry..." Hikari leaned against Gannon and glanced back at Rhaplanca. "It's safe with me." She mustered up as much as much of a smile as she could to the other female Reyvateil. She was referring to the secret Rhaplanca told her. "I will help. Promise..." She allowed Gannon to lead her away.

  Rhaplanca  "R-regarding the proposition to join together," she blurted out awkwardly when she felt that Gannon was only placating Hikari and her for the moment before total refusal. She took a deep breath and let her arm drop back to her side as if to open up.
 "If you decide 'yes'," she said to Gannon, "Meet us at the shrine as soon as you decide. Ishira, Noaah, and I - and Vegna," she quickly corrected with a straight face, "will be deciding the next step. If you meet us there we can all decide the next step. Any questions you ask will be answered by myself," she offered, "If I haven't heard from you by mid-morn I will assume a 'no'," she frowned and looked at Hikari then mouthed, "I trust you."

Ishira gently pulled Rhaplanca in the other direction, "We need to find Vegna first," he insisted, dropping the subject of the monster. He felt guilty for assuming the worst of him. He spoke over his shoulder at Noaah, "C'mon let's keep searching," he said determinedly. Then he looked over his other shoulder at Gannon and Hikari retreating, "I can tell they both want this," he referred to the girls, "we should really consider it and at least give it a shot. The more to protect the better," he said as the distance between them grew.

Hikari~
I have every intention of helping and making amends. I will be there, Rhaplanca, even if it's alone. Gannon couldn't possibly understand what I've done to the Goddess, or to the world for that matter. My hands are already soaked in so much blood. Which is why, even if it kills me, I have to make things right. And I will. Even if it does kill me. It was foolish of me to have any selfish desires, especially after what I've done. She sighed and hung her head, looking up at Gannon right after. Her head was swimming, and right now her thoughts were all jumbled, and she accidentally blurted at him, "Whai... coall sos mea, yorr...? [Why... did you return for me...?]" After a moment, she realized her mistake and shook her head. "Sorry... I mean... never mind."

Gannon…
Gannon ignored what that Rhaplanca woman said about joining together and continued to lead the Reyvateil toward where the Inn was located. Hopefully, they'd run into the twins. If not, they'd find their way back eventually. They hadn't been walking long before he heard Hikari speak up. He smiled slightly but didn't respond. He knew what she had asked, but didn't feel like explaining how. They walked in silence for a few more moments as the Teru made up his mind. "Geeow grandus sos yor..." [I promised I would protect you...]

Hikari~
It took her a moment to register what he'd said and what language he'd spoken in. When she was ill, it was difficult for Hikari to differentiate between the languages at times. Which was why she'd slipped up and started speaking in Hymmnos. But then he'd answered, meaning that he understood her. And he'd also answered in the same language. "You understood that?" Hikari asked in disbelief. "So when Rhaplanca and I talked earlier today... you understood that too?" She grimaced. Oh boy, now he thinks I'm a complete nut job. The only thing that would make me even more embarrassed is if he were to dive in me... At that thought, Hikari blushed profusely and not paying enough attention tripped, falling forward right into Gannon. She found she couldn't look him in the eye after that thought. "...S-sorry..."

Mana~
Mana had finally dragged Miko out far enough that she felt she could slow down. A few moments later, she noticed a shadow overhead and looked up to see something in the sky. When it was gone, she shrugged it off, especially since her sister didn't seem to notice it. As long as it wasn't attacking anything, what was the good to attack it, right? Kinda the same way as us halfbreeds, she thought wryly. After a little while, she glanced up because she heard voices. "Hey, Miko, this way," she whispered, tugging on her sister's arm gently in one direction. Following the path, Mana stopped when she saw Gannon and Hikari. "Hey, we found ya," she called, letting go of her sister's arm and running up to close the distance between them. She raised an eyebrow at the two when she saw the position Hikari was in. "Really, did you have to try that with her, too?"

Gannon…
Gannon nodded. "Ya. I understood it. Didn't see any reason ta bring it up." Gannon shrugged. He was about to say more, but the Reyvateil tripped again, this time nearly taking him down with her. "Her, let me help ya." The Teru knelt down so she could climb onto his back. "You've done enough walkin' fer one night, eh? Let me worry about gettin' ya back."
He turned at the sound of Mana's voice, but ignored her comment. Instead he brought up the situation that had happened back at the Inn. "So, what was that about you being there the entire time?"

Hikari~
Still blushing, the Reyvateil hesitated, but her exhaustion won over and she accepted, climbing onto his back. "Infel yor [Thank you]," she murmured tiredly. Hikari rested her head on Gannon's shoulder and closed her eyes. The last thing she remembered hearing before falling asleep was Mana's voice.

"Well, I didn't see the nobility in your actions, either," Mana shot back angrily. "I was at least ironing some things out with my sister, which were essential for this journey we are taking." She crossed her arms.

"Let's settle down," the younger sister spoke up. "Come on, let's not argue out in the open. Yes, it was irresponsible on all of our parts to leave her alone. The reasons for doing so are irrelevant." She sighed. "I will talk to you more about it later, but yes. I had wanted to travel with Ishira. I believe that he can be trusted. However, I am going to follow my sister until I decide otherwise." Miko started walking back and yawned. "Now, once we get back, you both can argue until the sun comes up or you're blue in the face, either way doesn't matter to me. But I'm tired, and Hikari is too, so let's get back before arguing any more, all right?"

"Yeah, yeah," Mana answered, taking the lead and heading back to the inn. "If I'd known we were gunna spend the night, maybe we shoulda just killed two birds with one stone and just stayed at the aunts, ya know?" She grumbled as she led everyone back. She rushed ahead leaving the others to keep pace or fall behind. When she reached the inn, she sat just outside the door and decided to wait for everyone there.

"Spoil sport..." Gannon said about Miko with a grin. Now that Hikari had been found, he could start playing his part again. He could afford to joke around. Gannon made his way toward the Inn as fast as he could without disturbing the Reyvateil.
