[Lustrepaw meowed indignantly, holding his head high and proud like any warrior would when defending their pride. Coming to think of it though...how DID Thunderflight meet with Whisperblade? He was so secretive, and he only met him because he had, uh, fallen onto him by accident. And he was pretty sure Thunderflight didn't do the same thing.]

I said, with a bit of amused sarcasm, "Oh, well, he sort of popped out of a frozen river and tackled me."
Laughing lightly, I added, "Scared the fur off of me."
I looked up at the sky thoughtfully and continud, "He was searching for some lost love named Thunderclaw and mistook me for her. Got me soaking wet, too. He was quirky and strange, but he kinda felt embarrassed after realizing his mistake. He's some rouge from NightClan...he's gotta be nuts-he thought Fathom was still leader!"
Shaking my head, I meowed, "He saved me from those monster things that same night, too. I'll never forget it...how a complete stranger would save someone he didn't even know."
[I trailed off, staring starry-eyed into the distance, before snapping back to reality. I ruffled my pelt in an embarrassed manner.]
Continuing awkwardly, I quickly said, "A-anyway. You shouldn't be so friendly to strangers. Not all of them have good intentions, and you can get in trouble for not telling Silverstar. I'm going to have to report to her that he's crossed our territory again, but I don't think he's much of a threat. He seems to be traveling through StormClan to the Outskirts, but he's kinda not supposed to waltz through our territory, so we'll see what Silverstar says...in any event, you'd better warn him next time you see him. Er, that is-if you see him again..."
[I looked away doggedly, blinking. I wasn't supposed to encourage him to meet some strange rogue! But at the same time, I felt like I was being too much of a mother. Lustrepaw should know the code by now. He wouldn't do something out of line...right?]
(( I think it would be hilarious if both Thunder and Lustre started meeting Whisperblade in secrecy together. xD Secret meetings are funnier when more than two cats are in on it >83
And who would know if two warriors secretly sneaked out to the outskirts? ~<33
We'd have to keep it at a minimum and/or have them punished for it in the future though, to keep it fair. When she stopped, he shot a reproachful glare at her for stopping such a "wonderful and exciting" story. What she said, however...was she really going to tell Silverstar? What if he got into trouble? He might stay as an apprentice forever!]
"B-But if you tell Silverstar, she'll know that I saw a rogue and didn't chase him off, then she'll get mad at me and I'll be in loads of trouble!"
[He meowed as he pictured the many different consequences in his head, some much more dramatic than others - including death penalty in a very painful way.]
"He was really nice though, and he wasn't really in our territory. Like I said, he was at the border..."

Whisperpaw Its not because your so tired that you stop.Whisperpaw blinked her deep blue eye's, arising to her paw's. She stretched, then padded out of the Apprentice's den. Looking around she couldn't see her Mentor. Whisperpaw sighed. "Why is she not around when I need her?"Whisperpaw asked. All the small she-cat wanted to do was train. And learn new things. Its because you see the beauty that lies ahead.

Lustrepaw was right...if I told Silverstar, he would get in trouble. He deserved it, really, for being so ignorantly trustworthy to a complete stranger. But on the other paw, I wasn't the type of person to be arrogant or mean in that way. And I didn't want to cause unnecessary trouble for Lustrepaw. I was a nice she-cat, after all!]
Smiling at Lustrepaw mischeviously, I meowed with fake concern, "Oh dear! What a conundrum indeed! Whatever will we do? She's sure to skin you alive!"
Then, leaning closer, I murmured with wide eyes, "But I think maybe she'll go easier on you if you tell her. That way she'll know you were honest with her. And maybe she won't make you an apprentice forever."
Leaning back, I added, "'Course, we could both not tell her, but if she ever found out, we'd both lose our pelts! It's up to you..."

[He stuttered slightly in his fright as he gazed back at Thunderflight with wide, scared eyes. He turned away and began padding towards Silverstar's den stiffly, his tail dragging on the ground. His face looked more like he was walking to his own execution instead of to his leader.]
Ok, plan A is to tell her I saw a rogue at the Nightclan border, then run away. Plan B: tell her I saw a rogue, then if she tries to skin me alive, I'll..uh...I'll fight back then run away! What did Cinderstreak say the weak points were again? Eyes, back of the ankles, uh, the tail? Is the tail a weak point?

The slender yet scant bodied StormClan leader rasped a startlingly pink tongue over ruffled silver fur, her piercing emerald orbs closed in thought. Silverstar was lying in her den, curled in the still warm moss, grooming the ruffled silver fur with sticks and miss stuck in it. She was broken from her slow motion grooming trance now and then by a racking cough that had been bothering her for a few days. It was probably just a cold. Silverstar dismissed it as the latter. The lithe silver she-cat tipped her head to each side, loosening her neck, then rose to her paws fluidly. She shook herself, twigs and leaves flying from her now clean pelt. She stretched the stiffness from each of her long limbs, and then ran a quick tongue over her long tail. Silverstar took a deep breath, inhaling the scents of her den, and then pushed aside the lichen the shrouded her well hidden yet cozy nest. A pang of grief and dull pain his Silverstar as she remembered Icefire, her best friend and former mate. But she was forced to kill him during the Madness. It still haunted the StormClan leader; despite the message he had given to her, telling her that he would always be in her heart, but she had to move on, for hers and her Clan's sake. Blinking away the thoughts and swallowing the lump in her throat, Silverstar trotted out from behind the Fernhill, which was now covered in snow. Raising her head to meet the sun's warm rays, she could tell newleaf was on it's way. The always low fresh-kill pile was larger. Instead of ice beneath her paws, there was a bit of water. There was less snow. Newleaf was on it's way!
Silverstar broke herself from the warm sunrays. Her emerald gaze scanned the clearing, and rested on the camp entrance. Patrols and hunting parties needed to be sent out. Silverstar caught Thunderflight's gaze and blinked warmly, and then continued. Birdsong filled Silverstar's ears; a sound she had missed during the rough leafbare. However, StarClan blessed, StormClan had lost no cats from greencough. A few cats had gotten whitecough, but had recovered. Silverstar herself had gotten a bad case of whitecough, but StarClan was looking down on them. Silverstar recovered fully, and it didn't turn into greencough. Narrowing her eyes in thought, she realized she had seven lives left. She'd lost two. One was during the mad prey attack at the Gathering, the other during the fight with the Star Slayers for the cure for the Madness. Seven good lives left, and the two she had lost, she had died fighting. The way she always wanted. Silverstar's muzzle stretched in a small smile at the thought. However, the slender silver she-cat was snapped from her thoughts as she heard a smaller cat come bumbling toward her. She realized who it was before she had to look; Lustrepaw. He was clumsy on his feet, but, granted, a good hunter. Silverstar smiled as she drew her green eyes to the small apprentice. Pushing her ears forward, Silverstar greeted him in a caring manner. "Lustrepaw? What is it?" Silverstar asked, knowing that he wouldn't approach her so openly without a good reason. Calmly, she searched his face for any expression of his emotions. No such luck.

[Realising that he probably looked a little stupid, he closed his mouth, cleared his throat and tried again.]
"I-I s-saw a loner at the N-Nightclan border."
[He stuttered while gazing fearfully up at Silverstar, his stunning blue eyes wide with fear. The tip of his ears barely reached her chin, and as he spoke, he was slowly leaning away from her. Without waiting for his leader's reaction, he squeaked in fear, turned around and started to sprint away from her leader.]
Plan A successful! Now Silverstar won't skin me alive!
[He thought happily as he started running...]

Ravenkit felt a sudden warmth at one of her sides, and she caught a split-second glimpse of orange tabby fur. She gave a small yawn and snuggled down into the nest.

I can see my life flashing before my eyes. Did I fall asleep?
Is this all a dream? Wake me up, I'm living a nightmare. I will not die. I will survive. I will not die, I'll wait here for you....
[The queen stretched as her fur rippled with awakening. Fragile sunlight dappled her gorgeous golden fur as her emerald eyes darted to were her kits were asleep. She smiled and nodded, talking shortly with the medicine-cat as she headed to the fresh-kill pile.
