Nessa had given up crying… jerk-face was right. It did nothing. She was zombie-like now, and got up from her bed despite the nurses weak protesting. No one was listening to them now. She wasn’t as short as Ari had been. In fact, Ness was quite tall. She bit her trembling lip, and hugged him too. ”I’m sorry,” she sobbed, ”I should have been awake! I could have s-stopped t-this…”

Aphrodite had her haphazard plan in place... now she just needed to get her butt in gear. The sooner the better. "Sam..." she called to the girl softly, "Sammy, may I speak with you, please?" Her tone was sad, but loving. She needed this girl's help.

Musica looked at Aphrodite and sensed she had let earlier slide. Things were too urgent now to stay upset over a disagreement. His daughter looked up at him with sad curious eyes, wondering just what their fate was to be. He hated what he was going to tell them, since he once shared a mind with Nikolaus. Hell, they were the same entity, only separated in some freakish way. "Using Ari's willfully given soul as a sacrifice to Odin, he'll ask for the gift we pursued long ago as the same entity. It is armor that grants its Demigod wielder all the power they can image. It'll even give him a new body." As he said that Sam's eyes showed a tiny slimmer of hope for her brother. "Using that and his army he's probably building up, he'll come here for his revenge. Then seek the ultimate prize we'd longed for long ago. Death of Olympians."
EDIT: Musica held his daughter closer to him at Aphrodite's request. His eyes were scared but fierce. He didn't care who she was, he was going to protect his daughter.

Aphrodite looked at Musica, all the fight gone clean out of her. "Please," she said, "... Sam, please. I need your help, and only you can help me."
Only you can help Ari, she added mentally. But we must hurry before Arielle gets the barrier up. Please... will you help me?

Sam sniffled her nose as she looked up at the woman who had spoken to her. Feeling her father's arms around her caused her to actually smile briefly. It made her feel loved by her father, something she didn't think she would receive from him. She could tell though, that unless she said something he wasn't going to let go. "Daddy, please. Let me help in whatever way I can." She wanted to help, so she could make sure Ty would be safe. Sam was willing to sacrifice herself for her brother, as she knew he'd do for her.

Aphrodite's heart leaped. She was willing to help! Praise the gods, an unbiased child of Asgard! Aphrodite held out her hand to the girl.

Unwillingly he let her out of his arms to walk over to the Goddess. His eyes were that of a feral animal protecting its young. His voice lost all traces of fear as he spoke. "She better come back to me just as she is Aphrodite." He didn't finish with a threat, unable to put the one in mind to words.

"Don't insult me. Don't pick a fight. Make sure Nessa doesn't commit suicide, and protect my girls. I'll get her back to you." Taking Sam by the hand, she led her out of the Infirmary and into the hall. "We're going on a trip... to Hades," she said, looking at the girl.

Musica resisted the urge to say or do something in response. It was quite painful as well. Instead he turned to look and see what he had left. Luli and Bo were together, happy that they at least weren't separated for this coming war. Nessie was on the bed, looking like a mess, and Aurora was an even worse mess in the empty chair. He sighed, wondering how he was going to pull through all this.

A shiver went up her spine. First someone she knew dies, and know they were going to the land of death. So much death relating things happening, she almost wished she hadn't agreed. But she had to, for Ty's sake and now Ari's too. Maybe she and her dad could get back together and be happy, death can change people and how they think. She looked up at the Goddess and nodded, but still she wondered. "What is it I can do to help? Why can't you do this without me?" Sammy was quite short compared to the woman, and she tried to not let that intimidate her. She failed.

Ever had no idea of the horrors that were happening around her. She was busy talking with her friend as Kilala traversed the area. She was also blushing slightly.
"Uh, the other bruises? You saw those?"
She laughed nervously and she instinctively placed one over hands over her neck where one of the 'bruises' were. "Well, uh, they are compliments of Ares, but it's not at all what you think! He didn't hurt me, or at least, not in the way you are thinking."
Before she could finish what she was going to say, she sighed and looked down for a moment at the ground moving past them. "It doesn't much matter now anyway, though. Ares and I are taking a break for right now. Neither of us is ready for a relationship. It's not really anyone's fault. It's just the way things are right now. There's always the future, of course. I'm hoping to be with him again later. Since we gods have nothing but time, though, I actually think I'll be okay with waiting."
She laughed softly and looked up at her friend, trying her best to smile.

Che-Ri's ear perked up as she hears some obscure detail about the situation in the institution. Che-Ri could only gather maybe someone important died due to combat casualty. Closing her eyes she sighed and thought "Damn! I came here because I want to settle down from my journey. However it seems if this place were to get some peace around here, I might have to help out!.... No! I WILL HELP OUT!!!" She opened her eyes quickly and said "I will help out! If it relates to tactics, then I can help! Just give me a map and some information on the enemy and I will get to work!"

Still in her hospital pajamas, Nessa left the Infirmary as a nurse tried to haul her back into her bed. She didn't care who saw her... though she probably looked like a half dead hooker in the back of someone's car at the moment. She meandered through the hallways, alternating between crying and calling out for Evermore.
