Why did she even wish for the days to be good when she woke up in the mornings? It seemed impossible for anything good to come out of this trip. And now she was stuck on the back of a tauros who seemed to think the mild stampede was a race. Call her crazy but Cassadaine was pretty sure that this was not what she'd originally signed onto this trip for.
Strangling a squeak of fright, she held onto the tauros and Lamen as best she could. If she fell off...oh gods she didn't even want to think about htat.

The second the flames had roared up, Fuyuki was beside Kira in the wagon. The look in his eyes told her that she didn't have a choice; she was going to ride on his back wether she liked it or not. Kira smiled appreciatively and held Katie close to her as she climbed onto the Suicune's back.
Fuyuki lept off the wagon and onto the ground, easily keeping pace with everyone else. When needed, he's shoot off a hydro pump to clear fire away from himself and his rider. Kira was clinging to him with one hand, the other holding Katie firmly between herself and the Suicune's mane.

While Jen was dealing with the scientists, the rest of the group was safetly outside the perimeter of the forest. "Phew...we're safe....kinda." Luna said, glancing at the burning forest. "We should do some damage control though...Anyone with a pokemon that knows rain dance should get to the area and use the attack specifically in that region. Anyone want to come with me?"
The forest was only a few yards away from where the wagons were now paused and there WERE some trianers in the bunch. Some of them should have pokemon that could do the job.
"Let's go Nine~And everyone else~" Luna said, tossing out four other pokeballs. Albireo, ChuChu, and Prince formed from the white light that emerged from the balls.

EDIT AGAIN: Whatever, we can continue running even though we're out of the forest, right? xd ))

Lucky for them that Alastair remembered this trail, wasn’t it? Very lucky that he had been on the last expedition to Inhinx and knew the way out. And at least he had some knowledge of how to control a terrified tauros, so that was nice too. Always nice when the person up front had a vague knowledge of what they were supposed to be doing. Mostly, he was concerned for Con… the rickety houndoom couldn’t keep up this speed for long and, while he probably could survive in flames, it probably wouldn’t be for long… hopefully, he knew when to jump in the wagon.
Quite frankly, he didn’t care much about the scientists. They clearly didn’t care about any of the trainers, so he wasn’t going to waste worry on them.
As a matter of fact, the pale houndoom was doing a pretty good job of keeping up. The prospect of being killed can do wonders for anyone’s speed, even those like him. He managed to get in front of the wagons, trying to lead them out, but… but, he couldn’t keep up that speed forever. Plus, his knees were already starting to act up, protesting with little picket signs of pain that they would not stand for this. He started to stumble, almost getting under the tauros’s hooves when there was a blue light all around him. He knew that blue light, but it still caught him by surprise.
Ryou was awake? And he hadn’t been there when the umbreon woke up?! Con let out a soft whuff as he was dropped, ungracefully, on the white arcanine’s back. … … well, this was more comfortable than running… and certainly better than being fried to a crisp.
And then… they were safely out. Alastair hauled back on the reins, slowly bringing the tauros to a stop. When they really got up to speed, they weren’t the sort to slow down easily, but it worked. Eventually. Rainy Day? Alastair thought about it, but none of his pokémon knew that move.

 She relaxed when they were safe (ish) from the forest fire and found herself leaning against Kader. "Well this had be a fun day."

He could hear Meeka’s voice over the rush of everything. Well, not really ok. Trist wasn’t used to being ridden, and Arashi wasn’t used to riding. Every step the girafarig made was an aching bump to his rider, but there was a lot more important things going on right now, he could worry about his technique later.
“Not really, but the forest is kind of on fire and I can deal for now. But if we survive this, can you show me how to suck less at it?”
Fear made him more courageous with his voice, it seemed.
He could see the break in the forest, and urged Trist towards it, nearly laughing in relief as they cleared the horrible smoke and flames.

 "Caddie knows Rain Dance!" Fin called, hearing Luna. Finally, they'd be useful. "Come on, girl!" She carried her Delibird with her as she jumped out of the wagon and headed toward Luna.

Arin relaxed now as the wagons slowed to a halt outside the forest. They were far enough away from the fire to be safe now, and Arin was just glad that none of the wagons had lit up.
Sitting on the edge of the wagon, Arin swung her good leg back and forth, Hush now curled up in her lap. She wished she could do something to help, but having a ground type pokemon wasn't much help.

[[ xD Sure? ]] Meeka stuck a thumbs up towards him while holding her other hand on the reins. "You got it Arashi~!" she said as they were clearly out of the forest now. "Whew!" Meeka said as Ebba slowed lightly. Heila snorted. What a ride.
