Well, as it was turning out... the water pokemon wasn't quite as useless as he had first thought. He wasn't sure he was ready to tell it that... the cold treatment seemed to be doing it some good, but... He seemed to be at least good at festival games. Perhaps it was worth training him, looking into his movesets.... maybe. He still wanted to use Totodile as his main water pokemon, at this point, and he wasn't one for wasting time, so he would have to see just what benefit doing that could gain him. Besides the obvious 'back up plan' aspect of it.

Feeling a bit up on his luck again, Bolt ran over to the ring toss and hurled a few rings, actually managing to hook two of the rings over the bottles, so even if he didn't get all three, he still earned five tickets for his labor. The Beedrill tried again at fishing out a tiny, shiny Magikarp. Unfortunately, she had worse luck this time than the last attempt and the net broke fairly easily. It was rather disappointing, but at least she got one ticket for her trouble. The bug Pokemon moved off with Rose and Oaken to find a different game to try.
Sable chuckled a bit at Darren's comment on bringing more water."I've still got three bottles left in my bag... That should be enough for the three of us..."she said as her breathing became more regulated, although she still sounded rather tired. She and Jin still ended up grinning as the hike up Mount Ember officially started. It was a nice change of pace to be exploring in an area just to explore it rather than to get through to the next town or city.

Arezu couldn't help but shoot Red a knowing smirk when she mentioned something about "whoever has the best luck". Arezu wasn't sure what she was supposed to be "knowing" when she smirked, but she had a feeling it'd drive her companion nuts. The subsequent win at the fishing game didn't hurt her confidence, either.
What Red said about giving it back made Arezu look up. Oddly undefensive despite the harshness of her words, she opened her mouth, "Mmm, I was thinking maybe putting it in the ocean. Do you think it would survive out there?" It felt odd to ask advice of someone she'd just met, but Red's sharpness lent her to trust her opinion. Probably because she knew it'd be the truth. If Avikna said to still give it back, Arezu would drop the Wailmer back at a fishing game. Otherwise, she'd toss it in the ocean. It was silly to keep, though. Similar to the pokemon she had caught to show Lady Selphy- she'd decided to leave them with the woman after both parties showed interest in it. Better than them rotting a PC or something cruel like that.
"You know a spot to watch?" That was surprising. Arezu held out an arm. "Lead the way." She played a quick game of skee ball because why not tickets were nice.
Aislin fired off a quick, blunt, "I trained." Hikaru cocked her head slightly, a habit she'd picked up from Arezu. She was about to urge on the other Lucario when she launched into a proud statement about her credentials, as it were. Hikaru found herself growing excited by Aislin's recount. [ That sounds incredible. To train with one with such a title. ] Arezu had yet to tell Hikaru about her plans to visit that very same mega evolution guru after Tanabata. Aislin mentioned endurance, causing Hikaru to smile endearingly as she thought of Arezu. [ Yes, well, I had a bit of training in that myself. Arezu seems to spend quite a lot of time running around. ] She chuckled to herself, realizing how true it was. [ I have not had as much time to focus on my aura, however. It sounds as if we could learn much from each other. ] She smiled warmly, though there was a confidence there that formed a nice pair to Aislin's cockyness. [ If you do not mind my asking, what was it that instilled in you your passion? ] In other words- why do you want to smash in the face of every dragon you meet?

Rather bored after waiting so long for Arezu to do something, Ai decided to amuse herself with these "games". If Arezu wasn't going to bother coming after her, then she'd have to wait a suitable time before showing up- coming too soon would seem weak. Ai used psychic to dangle away a huge stuffed poke-prize from the darts game. As soon as the human was gone chasing after it, she picked up a few darts and flung them. Though her control with psychic was precise, aiming while letting go after a few moments was difficult. She managed to get the last two, and suspected she could get more if she tried. She collected the correct amount of tickets and smirked, telling herself she was being fair ironically.
Ai took care of the wheel of fortune human as she had the last before taking a shot at it. Her tail swished testily when she got only four tickets. At first playing these games "fairly" had been interesting, but it was quickly getting on her nerves.
The ring toss made no exception for Ai. It was lucky no one was following her because aside from Arezu and Shion, Ai would have turned them to dust so no one knew of her failures. She would try the fishing game, she decided to herself, and then after that trail Arezu once again.
Ai resolved to never play a game again the second her small net broke. At least, she would never play a fair game again. Really, Ai loved Arezu, but things were so much easier when one didn't play by the rules. She was beginning to realize just how much she missed that. Not to mention, cheating made her feel incredibly clever.

Up next was the ring toss and Sable's Beedrill was a bit more careful as she flicked the rings towards the milk bottles. She managed to land the rings around the necks of the bottles twice but the third one bounced off and landed somewhere else. Still, two rings meant five tickets, which was nothing to complain about. The Beedrill happily had the small handful of tickets dropped in her basket, which was getting a decent pile by then.

Rose and Oaken once again went at the game in the arcade tent, sticking with their usual arrangement of Rose on the buttons and Oaken on the joystick. This time the duo completely crushed that final level, earning themselves ten tickets and a spot at the top of the leaderboard. The two glanced at each other a moment figuring out how they were gonna put their names in due to it being the standard insert initials here setup with only three letters. Last for the time being was the colorful fortune wheel, which ended up landing on the number five. That meant five more tickets for the Beedrill to put in her basket and five more tickets towards whatever neat things there were in the prize shop.
