Taym absently wondered whether his actual death here was going to be as a result of the ceiling caving in. This was seeming increasingly likely.

He was, if he was being honest with himself, equal parts relieved and frustrated when he stumbled out into the room containing the exit and found it occupied by Peyton. His eyes went from her to the button.

"Where's Kostya?" he asked. And then he waved a hand dismissively, angrily. He looked the worse for wear, just like she did. "******** it. You were going to push it anyway. Push it."

No one was looking. Not with the door bolted shut. The sound made him spin around, splattering the walls with red droplets. But as soon as Wilson moved, he froze. Locked doors never spelled fortune, and his prediction proved true when a neat row of arrows whizzed past him and missed him by a hair’s breath. He could almost feel the faint wind brushing against his bare skin. And as soon as the first wave hit, his death instincts told him that it wouldn’t be the end just yet. Wilson tried to move, but an arrow found itself buried in his thigh anyways.

He hissed, dropping down to one knee. For a moment, Wilson remained kneeling on the floor, but managed to push himself up. No use trying the door. He looked around the room for another way out.

No one was looking. No need to maintain that calm, easy smile or that cool, stoic expression, even as his eyes twitched with annoyance. He could yell and hiss and mutter incessant swears beneath his breath as much as he wanted, so he did. There was no one to fake happiness for.

DELTA

In the end, Kostya shut up: head held beneath the surface, screaming into the water for as long as he could, kicking and flailing all the while. He had to get Lucky's hands off of him, he had to--

But with had a gimp arm and blood that kept spilling... Eventually, his air ran out. His body-- his weak, useless body-- quit struggling. Kostya laid there, in the dark tunnel, drowning with his corpse still sluggishly bleeding.

Darkness honed in around him, and there were no thoughts left to think. The dead have no worries.

Delta

Lavender eyes were wide and fearful when Lucky sloshed into view, and the Sun's fingers twitched against the button, brushing over it. She stared at him, at the blood and soaked clothing, tall frame shaking from head to toe. Maybe she would have commented, but she didn't look much better. There was a scrap on her cheek, a cut on her shoulder, and the ice inflicted scratches had seeped blood through her wet tee shirt at her hip. "Did you hear?" He'd know what she meant, surely he'd heard it to.

Taym's arrival inspired a breath of relief but the dainty Sun glowered at him as he approached, eyes narrowing at the barked question before he noticed the button and urged her to push it. She rolled here head to the side, staring at the button under the cage of her fingers, then back to the two young men. "If anyone else is alive in here, they won't be after I push this." It was said softly, devoid of feeling. Merely stating a fact. "We can wait, see if any else makes it here, but.."

She didn't want to wait, she wanted out of the water and the darkness.

Still shivering she pushed away from the door so she could turn and face it, and with grim expression she let her palm slide along the wall until the tips of her fingers rested over the center of the button. There was a beat, a short handful of seconds where she hesitated, then she pushed it.

BETA AND PHI GROUP

Roland was unaware of just what the levers had done, that two more hunters where likely dead or dying currently inside of cells. In his defense he hadn't willingly knowingly tossed a still living hunter into an electric pool, he had simply made a guess as to what levers would get him out of this place.

You could also justify that had the hunters not been in a cell they would have never been harmed at all and everything would have been okay but it seemed hunters where prone to doing things they shouldn't and just to continue that trend, unknowingly of course, Roland pulled the YELLOW and GREEN levers.

With Gale and Otto searching around, Charlotte was now eyeing both Sam and Lawr with suspicion. She might have been Sam's friend but her division was also that to protect and she was doing a terrible job on it. Her arm was still blistered and raw but she didn't take her eyes off the two.

"Oh Charlotte, sweetie, use the bandages on yourself." Sam sighed at the Moon assistant's tenacity. "Here." She turned her back to Lawr, ignoring him as she moved to help Charlotte with her arm. The dagger in Lawr's hands made a strange sound, an electric sparkle, identical to the noise of a charged runic weapon.

OMEGA GROUP

She watched, horrified, as the red words stung her eyes, at the camera feed showing people she didn't know, sort of knew, and knew far too well, at the ominous spikes waiting to gut them all if she did not act. In this moment Stormy wished she had Thane back, because at least his pragmatic approach would have given better reason to her actions, somehow more validation than just murder. Kill one and save the rest? Could she really believe that? They had asked for for their group to be culled to five to survive and then asked for yet another--when did it end? What if this was just another lie, too, like the dagger?

As the static screen came back and the ticking increased, she turned to the group with an anguished look. "Ten minutes. We have ten minutes to kill someone here or let another group die," she stated in a curiously flat tone. "That's their next set of instructions." She didn't know what "impure" was in this context, and frankly she didn't care.

Letting that sink in with the others, because God help her she couldn't choose at the moment, Stormy began to carefully dig in the weapons pile to find the source of the ticking noise. Maybe there was a way to shut it off so she could think.

Lawr gave Charlotte a very amicable and gentle smile as she looked him over.

And then giving the sparking dagger a sidelong and brief look, he did the only thing which really seemed like a sensible plan of action at the time. Survival was at stake and he owed fealty to no one. He didn't murder, he didn't fight as a general rule, but needs must as the devil drove.

He stretched seemingly bored by the present situation, before the stretching gesture turned into him getting quickly to his feet and in a single swift motion he moved to try and sink the dagger into Sam's back. He was one of life's natural backstabbers and even remembered to aim for the left hand side and angle the dagger for ribs. Ribs were hard.

One moment he'd been checking the walls for any signs of - well, anything - and the next a low buzzing sound flickered in his ears; the only warning before something came swinging down towards him and then all he felt was pain -

A scream left Ian's throat, raw and hoarse and in an instant he was on the ground, gasping and twisting in agony. His leg felt as though it were on fire, scarlet blood pouring from a long gash in his calf, while his shoulder and consequently most of his torso were paralyzed with pain, a sticky substance beginning to trickle down his arm.

Dimly he was aware of Jack and Finn somewhere near him, but Ian just sat there on the ground, his face twisted as he tried to keep from blacking out. <******** hell - "

Finn's fingers jolted back from the steel bars in time to keep them from getting zapped, but he noted that Jack was not so fortunate. A cold gaze drifted down to the other mans hands, and then back up towards Ian, still trapped in his cell with apparently no way to escape.

"Wrap something around your leg if you can, to stop the bleeding." He said, voice as cold as his expression. This was that hunter in the rooms doing, he just knew it! But did that mean that all of the cells were unsafe, or just certain ones? He turned back towards his own, and threw the box he'd been carrying inside of it. He then turned and strode down towards the sealed door with it's sign, glancing at both Milo and Wilson as he did so but offering no words.

There had been a note in his box, one that he hadn't yet shared with anybody. If there had been a note there, however, it stood to reason that there might be another message hidden somewhere in this room. He made a grab for the sign, pulling on it, hoping to find something behind it.

Gale trusted the one called Lawr even less than he trusted Sam, but he left them alone anyway, trailing after Otto with a look of intense concentration on his face. He searched along the western wall for anything, a switch, a door, possibly a latch of some sort...

BETA PHI ******** it he wouldn't touch things anymore. If this dungeon punished those attempting to save, then fine. He got the message. "Pressure on the wound, deep breaths," he added to Ian.

Backing away from Ian's cell, Jack went and move close to the sealed door. It was clear Roland couldn't see what he was doing, but God damn if he wasn't going to run around like a lab rat for it.

This made him rather pressed close to Finn; for survival's sake, of course.

Since Finn was having fun physically touching things for him, Jack also took the opportunity to peek under the sign as well.

BETA PHI GROUP

Jack was suddenly pressed up against him, and for somebody who was now not so keen on touching things, he sure did have his body pressed up firmly against yet another wall. Jesus, did Jack ever learn from past mistakes?

"Maybe just a little space between yourself and the wall, you think?" He murmured out of the corner of his mouth, before holding out his hand, palm up, offering a small piece of paper that he had been carrying with him to his friend, the one that said somebody in their group had a concealed weapon.

It might have been Cass. Hell, it might even be Jack for all Finn knew, if somebody even had one at all. Still, if something were to happen to Finn, he decided if it was the difference between life and death, his best friend should know what he did.

He opened his mouth to reply, then saw the piece of paper. He adjusted what he was going to say.

"So very sorry," he drawled, turning to conceal the motion that let him snatch the paper, glancing it over with eyes that were far too used to studying notes minutes before a big test.

Someone in their group had, or had had, a weapon. Interesting.

As he took a step back, Jack made a casual motion that moved his coat back, revealing he had no weapons on his person, a sign of good will for sharing the information. Where had Finn--either it was on his person this whole time or it was in that box.

Great. Another element of the unknown to add to the mix.
