Allen pulled the pink thing out of his bag, though the author of this post still isn't sure what it is. Beyond it being pink. As Ethan never said anything else about it. But still, everyone else seemed to think it was important, so he might as well try with it, you know?

And so, he moved in towards the temple with that in hand, his body relaxing completely as he did so. The more normal motions he'd made when getting out of the van and looking confused all merged into fluid movement at this point. And his eyes seemed to glow with an internal light, if any managed to look at him.

"Well, lets get this over with. I need to get home. I'll be in enough trouble as it is."

Athan simply followed Vahn's lead, heading towards the temple with his own sword over his shoulder.

The short sword that he had received as a 'gift' from the Viceroy battle was sheathed at his side. He still had no clue as to what was so special about it, but another weapon really couldn't hurt.

He came to a stop about two yards away from Vahn, looking at the temple with narrowed eyes as the bright light overtook the entire temple.

With his right hand he decided to copy the leader and pin his own rose to what was left of his shirt. A free hand never hurt anyone, and he had no idea if holding the rose prevented it from working or not.

There was a hint of a smile on his face as he turned his head to look towards Vahn.

"Credit? Pfft, you can be the hero if you want."

Athan's now free right hand lowered, fingers snaking around the hilt of his new weapon.

"I'm just looking forward to seeing what's on the other side of those doors."

As both Allen and Athan approached, a blue and a purple light shot from them respectively swirling around the building. Slowly, the massive doors would creack open, revealing two figures surrounded by light.

"Welcome Saviors..." a gentle voice would sound out from the building, subtly wasn't it's thing after all. "Come forward...." As the three would step forward, a large vacumn would swirl the air around them before sucking them into the temple, the doors closing behind them with a loud echoing thump.

Outside, the remaining players were left with the two figures, one a dark purple color, no disgingushable figure except for one large eye making it appear almost like a shadelord and one pinkish white figure with several eyes all the way around it's head, making it appear as if a negative of another shade lord.

"Pathetic mortals..."and the sky filled with lightening as the two figures rose in the air, looking down on the ones would be champions.

"Holy ********...." This was from Sam as she looked up. "That is a corrupted Amp and Null...." She pointed to the glistening stones seemingly embedded in their chest.

The three 'Champion' however, were trapped inside the temple and facing an empty room with a bloodstained altar in it. Behind the altar was a door but other then that, there was the visible throbbing of growing power, on the walls a thousand etchings of destruction of the mortals vs the Celestials and Infernals...and each of the them vs each other.

"Each man judges his own virtue or vice...."

In front of each was a small coin that was dropped with a delicate plink. In front of Vahn....was a coin marked 'Positive' in front of Allen, one marked 'Negative' and in front of Athan was 'Balance'.

((OOC: Allen, Vahn and Athan have to find and defeat Viceroy inside the temple. They can stay and RP in this thread...Everyone else please post IC in the "Void"

Everyone else can play with Amp and Null as they please. ))

"What the f----"

Being the closest to the actual Temple, Vahn would be the first drawn inside; his entire body feeling displaced and moved forward.

It felt like every single one of his molecules had been ripped apart, broken down and shunted into... something else, before reforming back into a whole at the same speed.

In other words, it made him want to puke.

Staggering forward slightly, before coming to a full stop, yellowed eyes took in the surroundings.

"Well, this is new."

The soft sound of metal caught his attention. Staring, he spotted the coin, and simply slid his right foot forward. Kicking the coin forward, hard enough that it would richochet off the altar's bottom and fly into his open left hand.

"Yea, let's ride all the way to hell~"

Not even bothering to wait for the other two, Vahn moved forward, walking around the altar and reaching out for the sole door in the room.

As he neared it, he lashed out with a forward snap kick, opening it that way instead.

By the time Athan had reorganized his senses upon entering the temple, he was treated to the image of Vahn heading his way towards the door before them. The altar, well, it was pretty gross, but it didn't appear to have any sort of real importance.

He cracked his neck and surveyed the room as best he could. Just one door, and the etchings in the wall appeared to be strictly historic in nature. The sudden sound of a foot striking the door caught his attention, and snapped it away from the walls.

"Impatient, isn't he?"

Athan cast a sidelong glance towards Allen as he scooped up the coin in front of him. He used his thumb to flip the coin into the air, then snagged it on the descent before stashing it in his pocket. From there, it was a simple matter to begin walking forward, after Vahn.

He wondered what the strange disembodied voice had meant by choosing their own virtue or vice. That thought was soon stifled by the realization that they would probably find out some time in the near future.

Allen was alot slower in his actions, though still relaxed, leaning over to pick up his coin and look at it. And then he gave himself an ironic smile, speaking to himself even as the other two left. So, he'd gotten the Negative coin.

"...fitting, I suppose, considering what I've done..."

Slipping the coin into his pocket, alone with the rose if he still had it, Allen began to walk at a casual pace. The other two might have rushed ahead, but he didn't see the need. It was likely that if something were here, it'd find him soon enough, and it was more important to keep an eye on things.

Thier purpose here would become clear in time.

Vahn's impatience got the better of him. He would soon find himself knocked the hell back as the throb of energy bust forth. It was covering the entire room in something incredibly quickly, a magical barricade that trapped the champions inside. A bramble of crystalline thorns; a magical rosebush prison.

And there was a new figure, one that Vahn and Athan would find slightly familiar. The Viceroy, only this time all traces of the meek Leon were gone and more chaotic corruption was visible. The suit jacket was gone, replaced by a long tattered red coat. His face was obscured by a flowing black scarf, and his eyes seemed to leak energy below it. Finally, he had two skeletal wings made of black crystal, dropping a constant shower of rose petals instead of feathers. The strange part, they burst into magical energy the minute they hit the ground.

An arm went out in front of him and his entire being burst into rose petals. While they swirled around three figures dropped from the ceiling. They were almost like mannequins, or those dolls artists use, featureless. And they danced in a circle, rose petals swirling around them.

Distracting really. But distracting enough to take away from the three thorned vines zooming towards the champions? And how much would it hurt to be grappled by one of those? Only time would tell.

"Hey wh--"

Something was up when his foot actually never met the door.

In fact, he was pretty sure something was up when he went flying backwards, knocking down Athan possibly, as he went flipping over the side of the Altar.

He unceremoniously landed/skidded along to a halt with the use of his face.

Aerodynamic and all.

"Sonuva..." Picking himself up off the floor, he shook it off, a bit of the altar's decorations along his face.

Of course, all the while, Vahn's right hand held onto his sword. From his 'new' position, Vahn could clearly see tendrils shooting towards Allen, who presumably thanks to his fluid walking like water motions would be the only one still standing. He couldn't tell if Athan had been knocked to the side or further behind even himself, but for the moment Vahn could act.

"Some party you got goin' here, pal!" Twisting on the balls of his feet, he swung the flamberge down and aimed to shear in half the vine that was aimed at himself, and possibly the one also aimed at Athan-- unless they were far apart to begin with.

Allen could look out for himself and play with the puppets.

Needless to say, the last thing he had expected was to see Vahn hurtling back -towards- him. He couldn't help but think seconds before impact that perhaps, of all days, today was not the best to get out of bed.

He ducked and braced himself for impact, and boy was there one. Athan took the brunt of the flying body and went rolling with him. Unlike Vahn, Athan slid the majority of the way on his back before coming to a stop a good few yards behind Vahn's resting place. He quickly pushed himself to his feet, just in time to observe the Viceroy's grand disappearing act.

Being behind everyone, it was pretty easy to tell what was going on as far as the vines were concerned. As Vahn did a little gardening around the vine that were creeping up towards him, Athan's right hand drew free the weapon he had received from the previous Viceroy battle.

"Looks like this thing'll come in handy after all."

He pivoted on his left foot, bringing the short sword around, aiming directly at the vine that was approaching his own direction.

Allen had, indeed, stayed on his feet. The benifit of not rushing forward into unknown territory and such. And therefore, he'd gotten the full effect of seeing Viceroy and his appearance. And the puppets.

"Three puppets, and three people. Hardly coincidence, I think..."

Of course, he could think of multiple reasons for that. One could be that they were being called puppets, a mere insult, though one that might lead to more clues later. Another was that the puppets actually represented them, or thier aspects. And if so, then they'd be infinitely more dangerous. The others, well...by the time he would have reached the others, he was forced to react to the vine hurtling towards him.

With a swift duck and turn, so he'd be facing the vine at the appropriate angle, Allen summoned his katana with a swift thought and brought it upwards, to the underside of the vine targeting him. If it could be cot or broken, it likely would be, but if it couldn't...rather than taking the force head on, his blow would direct it upwards and towards the ceiling, above him considering how he had ducked down to add more force to the swong.

One. Two. Three. All blows hit their respective vines causing them to shatter into fragments of crystal. The unexpected effect: Destroying those vines caused every other one to writher and shake. The once dancing puppets began to be thrashed about the room by their vine threads. Smashed against that wall, bashed against the other. But slowly but surely the vines let go of the puppets, yet the thrashing didn't stop.

The puppets were hap hazardly leaping off the walls like ninja from bad movies.

Course they soon broke into dancing like attacks. The one charging towards Vahn made two prancing leaps before breaking into a flying jump kick. It had enough speed behind it to hit hard, and was nimble enough to give the fiery man a foot to the face if he wasn't careful.

A second one put two hands on its head, while standing on one foot. It only took a few silly hops before the puppet was spinning like a top right towards Athan. Course the hands didn't stay on the head for long, they stretched out into fists. It was a tornado of ballet doom coming right for the almost hero.

Despite Allen being in the most compromising position, his puppet only made a dashing roll at him. But the close observer would notice the rose petals swirling around only that puppet. When it came out of the roll, the puppet phased from being a puppet to being the Viceroy. From the momentum of the roll, Viceroy went in for a powerful sweep kick to Allen's side. Following it up with a rose trailed uppercut to the jaw.

"Of all the..."

He watched the razzle dazzle show, before watching the puppets splinter off, acting manic if anything else all of a sudden.

There was a thing to be said about economical movement; and right now this... thing was wasting a whole bunch of it.

Well, it couldn't be helped.

It was lacking a brain after all.

"HAH!" Spinning on his left heel, he swerved his entire body around, and stuck out his back sharply. Elbows drawn together slightly, and his Fang lowered to the ground. The muscles on his back contracted sharply as he would meet the puppet's flying kick with nothing but grit.

This was a pretty infamous move of Vahn's, well known around the Stadium as his "back attack", where he thrusts his back against his opponents with incredible force, often throwing them into flying.

It was offense and defense all rolled into one, and if Athan timed his own attack right, perhaps he could send his own puppet flying into the one Vahn had just thrown (presumably).

The puppets were going apeshit on the walls, which gave Athan plenty of time to assess the situation as one puppet headed in his direction, acting like a ballerina on steroids.

He spun the shortsword in his right hand, planting it into its sheathe. His hand left the hilt of the shorter weapon to grip onto that of his original sword.

"Feh..."

It was a simple matter of length. His sword, nearly five feet in length, would easily outdistance the arms of the puppet. Two giant steps to the side, and Athan was winding up the weapon. Puppets didn't really have eyes, so he had no clue if it could see the attack coming or not.

A single step forward, and he swung the sword with enough force to either chop the puppet in half, or send it flying directly at Vahn's former assailant.

Allen, however, hadn't been in the best position to see the attacks. But, with the movement out of the corner of his eye, he shifted his head in time to see the roll starting. And, surprisingly, stayed crouch, with multiple moves he could pull off from that position.

Then came Viceroy, and the kick, with Allen reacting quickly as he always did. Still crouched, he did a quick pivot, dropping his sword and letting it become replaced by his gauntlets. One hand latched onto the area just above Viceroy's ankle, while the other caught the knee of the kicking leg.

Then came the move itself.

Allen continued the pivot, his grip pulling Viceroy along with him, his hands moving in different directions. The ankle grip pulled closer to himself, while the hand on the knee pushed back, against the joint. If that worked properly, then Viceroy's leg would be broken. Even if it didn't work, Viceroy would have the momentum of both his kick and Allen's spin working against him for the next part.

At the proper time, Allen would release his grip on the former puppets leg, whether it had been broken or not. The combined momentum from viceroy's redirected attack and Allen's own spin sending Viceroy flying. Not coincidentally towards the other two puppets, as Allen had decided that would be the best place for the enemy to go in the split second it had taken to pull this off.

Hey, he's used to quick thinking and working with people. And using enemies against each other. It's hardly surprising he could manage to react like that.
