As they stepped through the portal and onto a higher floor of the tower, a chunk of the lintel above the door that housed the portal cracked free and dropped, knocking Jordan to the floor. He cursed and shoved the chunk of stone off; Ferros picked it up and threw it angrily aside, then examined the injury. The debris had impacted solidly against Jordan's shoulder and back, barely missing his head. A knife-sharp edge had torn his shirt and scratched a reddened line across his skin.
"We're going back," Ferros growled. "Don't waste your Miasma on this."
Jordan ignored him, moving over to examine the piece of stone that had nearly brained him. "Infinity is less than one," he read. He frowned at the line, then pulled his phone out and tapped out a text, addressing it to a list of other Blue Kingdom pieces.
"Okay," he said, and tucked the phone back into his pocket. "Let's get the ******** out of here before this goddamn tower falls down the rest of the way."

The next sets of rooms were not any better as she found herself being pelted a bit harder from each of the debris falling down upon her.
"REALLY!"
It wasn't even enough to actually pick up any of the points because of all the debris raining down around her. Growling she looked around and wondered if she should continue or get out when the getting was good. Suddenly feeling a warm guiding hand Erintis relaxed slightly. She was feeling better, and possibly thinking that the next set of rooms wouldn't be nearly as bad.

At least one of Riyo's trip-ups landed her in a secret passage.
The ground felt worse under her feet. It might've been how high up she was, or the fact that the experience was starting to sober the feline.
Slowly, she started to realize the grim reality of having faulty crumbling blocks under her feet, the occasional rubble hitting her square on the head. She cringed and tried to dodge a lot of it, but when the whole building was falling apart, there was only so much she could do. Truthfully, this wasn't really her motif. Seemed more like something in line for that burly beast of a family man back at base.

The silver kingdom, they sure did love their steps.
The floors were getting more disheveled as jing moved past, bits and small gaps turned into holes wide enough to fit through. and soon enough, a broken up washroom.
And he had a pressure growing. "Well, there's no one else here to use it." he figured as he dropped the zipper on his pants and let the sound of water hitting porcelain ring in his ears with one contented sigh through the halls.

The once proud, pristine hallway that all Silvers used to get up and down the winding tower was now in shambles. Often times, he found that it was missing chunks, pieces jetted up threatening to stab and poke. Finding holes where establishments, homes, and places once where to give view to the dead kingdom beyond the horizon. What had happened?... While lost in thought, a slightly raised plank caught the tip of his worn shoe, causing him to fall forward. Luckily, he managed to catch himself, but wincing as he raised his hand to unsheath a bloody piece of the hallway. It would appear this place was no longer a safe home.
Winding up to the 4th floor, he immediately detoured from the path to the very first bar he ever played in. The first bar that actually hired the likes of him to play his music for the patrons of the bar. Peeking his head inside, he noted that it was also in shambles. The stools were broken and tossed aside, the tables knocked over or cracked into pieces. The bar, surprisingly, remained nearly whole, but what made him smile was the bottles that managed to remain on the shelf beyond it. Perhaps he could take a few for... trading later. As he approached, a creek in the floor caused some of the roof to cave in. Gasping, he spun away, taking a scratch over his shoulder from a falling plank. Perhaps that was what he got for attempting looting.
Turning about, he found it. It was still in good shape! Throwing away fear and caution, he immediately made his way to it. Sitting down on the stool, he ran his fingers over the black and whites. With a press, a note sang like the heavens, cutting through the dread of the bar, the floor, perhaps the tower itself. Uru smiled as he continued on. Initially, the sounds were addolorato tone, a sorrowful sound but slowly, ever so slowly, it raised to an accelerando. The music was heavenly, slowly taking him away when BAM! and DAUNNNNNNNNNnnnn. The youth looked down to see the key cover had came loose from its fastens and fallen onto his fingers resulting in a loud "%#&*!!!!!!"
It was time to move on.

Mjoll watched the frying pan fly towards what had yelled at her, but the frying pan flew harmlessly past the shadow!!! She missed!!! There was a pout before she ran up the stairs closer towards what it was she'd punch it if she had to.
Then she realized... "Oh it's just you." She said sounding as if she was disappointed she missed instead of sounding glad. Mjoll was still mad at him, he would've deserved that frying pan to the face.
Special Events
1: 9) You spot an odd rusted key. It actually seems extremely out of place in the staircase you are standing on. You pick it up (Used on floor 1-5)
2: 10) You manage to find a glowing vial of what you realize are Miasma Points. You pick up +5 Miasma Points.
3: 1) The tower is tall, and creates suspicion and paranoia. You see a shadow leaping at you, and in a fit of fear you attack them. It is your ally. You do damage equal to your RANK's melee dice (ie: if you are a Queen you do 2d12 - 4 damage, ouch!) If you are the only player from your Kingdom here, you do this damage to yourself. If one were to watch Thannas make his way through the hallways, it seemed more like the tenacious scampering of a puppy, one too young and naive to know that failure very well might lie ahead. It wasn't for lack of intelligence, merely sheer, determined will and a healthy dose of optimism. He might have lost his home, but this new kingdom of his...it seemed as though it might welcome him after all.
He thought it was floor sixteen, at least, that was as best as he could recall...where a particularly hefty bit of debris clipped his head, and he fell sprawling, a choked sound escaping him as another gash opened just behind his temple. Growling with undying tenacity, he reached out to the floor in front of him, scrabbling...
...and then his fingers found something, rough and slender, and shakily managing a sitting position, he held it up before him. It was a key.
The tiniest smile clambered onto Than's features, "Why helloes there..." He trilled, admiring it for a moment before sliding it into his pocket next to the card that he'd plucked from home, the pad of his thumb tracing the corner of the sturdy paper in remembrance. "Let's go finding us a lock on a merrymerry adventure..."
Somehow the idea of treasure was enough to cheer him up for another round.

Apparently, Amarus had been so busy being leery of her surroundings and dodging debris she'd completely lost sight of their other goal, which was to accumulate as much Miasma as possible. At least Justice appeared to be doing better! "I think you're taking more damage but doing better, really," Mar admitted, with a smile that looked halfway to a sneer. It was friendly, really; affectionate, even. Sparring partners 4 lyfe wooo.
Judgement felt like she was about ready to progress. She leaned over to shove Zel lightly by the shoulder, more in camaraderie than anything else. "Keep it together, 'cause I don't want to have to drag you home in pieces, okay?" she teased. She said it as much for herself as for him, really.
She got to her feet. "Say it with me? Judgement!"
She paused, to allow for his part.
"Team Retribution travel in the night!" and with that, she rolled her shoulders, readied her meteor hammer, and even traced its runic flame to life: the lantern lit the way, flickering in a shade of darkness that seemed to defy sight.
She made it through the next floors rapidly, taking damage only a handful of times-- twice, she even managed to collect more Miasma when debris alerted her to its presence. After her mad dash through the floors, she stopped to make sure Justice was still nearby; before she was able to turn around, she felt a guiding hand reassure her, squeeze her shoulder gently.
The warmth and pressure, which she mistook for Justice for a moment, at first startled her: it was a strange gesture for that moment. But when she turned around, there was no one there... and her woulds seemed to have repaired.

((Rp post)) Rep looked up at the familiar voice as he polished off the last of the twinkie. "Nope. We walked." he said, leaning back against the luxurious cushion that was Mass curled around him begging for scraps. Tracey was impatient, standing off to one side, looking pensively up the tower.
"William we need to move on." She said.
"In a minute, what's the ******** hurry? It's not like the thing's going to fall down or anything hah." he casually tossed a twinkie to Sammy. Mass looked disappointed. That was his.

Bastion felt the sweep of a frying pan fly past him, and his face was frozen in utter horrified shock for a moment. Did.. did she just..
He started barrelling back down the steps, only to stop hard on one when he heard her response to seeing him. Was it better, that she hadn't recognized him when she threw the pan? Or did it hurt more, that her only real reaction to him was oh it's just you?
And he'd been so. Damn. Worried.
"Yes. JUST ME. NOBODY SPECIAL. So sorry if I got in your way, please, feel free to step on my heart some more as you walk away. I'm pretty sure YOU MISSED A SPOT."
It was, perhaps, the most honest he'd ever been with Mjoll in his life. And the most cruel. The two came hand in hand, and he didn't care. He stormed by her, continuing down the steps. If she was headed up, he wanted to go no further.
He had to get away from her. If she ever saw him cry, it would truly be the end.
Character: Bastion Leto Description: Bastion is a dark skinned, brutish looking man who enjoys spending some quality time with that special someone - or that special someone's sister. Or her friend. Or that cute blonde in the corner.
Back at home, he's homeless, and has a small drinking problem. It's very small. Insignificant, really. It definitely has nothing to do with how hopelessly in love he is with a woman so far out of his reach he has to drink himself stupid to forget her.

There was no terrible surprise to see those sent to the tower had generally split up, or at least none that showed. Yet it didn't keep her from glancing around, searching for signs of familiar faces. Would they run into them? Or would they simply have to wait and see how others fared back at the kingdom?
"You've manners." It was a blunt statement, but one she stated cheerfully as she looked towards Joachim. "It's nice to find." Debris fell around them, Agsil hissing a little as some managed to strike her. "...though you'll have to forgive me if I lose mine now and then during the course of this." Would she need more patching up after this? She already had quite a few points of the alloy across her body, how much more did she really need? Yes they were pretty and shiny, but really--
"--!?!?!" A loud yelp echoed out as the girl lost her footing on one of the steps, arms lashing out to try and catch hold of something to stable her. Something hopefully not Joachim, though. It wasn't her intent to drag him back with her. To no aid or success from the walls or stairs, she tumbled through the air. The sensation sent more than chills down her spine, a new terror she'd yet to experience. Down, down the steps they'd ascended she fell... and right back down to the ground floor. "Are you kidding me?!"
There might have been a few extra explicit words ringing around the tower from down below. Just a few.
Character: Agsilved Description: Pale girl of around 5'4", long black hair down to around her knees. Various cuts filled with purple alloy can be seen across her arms, and legs, with the largest snaking down across her chest. A black and silver corset holds together a dark cloth wrapped around her body and left to hang around her knees. Barefoot.

Serafina wasn't much of an ... adventuring type at all. She actually preferred something akin to sitting on her laurels--behind her desk at a Senate meeting, she supposed--over climbing stairs, and when the option was available she always opted for the elevator, having quite the aversion for putting her feet on the stairs to climb. Needless to say, this climb was going to be difficult, and Serafina was already pathetically out of breath when she had reached the second floor.
Sure, she looked thin enough, and she had a lovely figure to boot, but there was nothing in her form that said remotely fit. She had a desk job! Serafina would defend it was hard to be fit when one's expected duty for the majority of the day was sitting down on a chair, listening to people rattle on. Honestly, it was rather droll. At least this wasn't droll, as much as it was... hard to breathe.
Serafina gasped.
Damn it, she wouldn't fall so easily. She had gotten in with The Boss. The Boss had chosen her for his group. She needed to impress him and stumbling around like an idiot on the stairs certainly wasn't doing it!
She probably should have worn athletic clothing, though.
Easier to breathe in.
