This time, the trip into the painting wasn't as shocking. She actually thought the painterly look to her patchy skin was charming, and she took a moment to admire the stretch of her stitched up arms before realizing something that was likely very important to the class.
A harness, or at least the end of one, trapped under her. She followed the harness handle up until she saw it attacked to her beastie, the grudgingly tamed Blob of Blobness (with pretty eyes). Oh! Well, yes. That was when she heard the Professor explaining what they had to do. Catch a beast, using the one she created and tamed? Well, okay. That didn't sound too difficult...
"Okay Beastie! Lets do this." Amrita, who was suddenly wearing a hat (only she wasn't, but in her head she was), got up and went crawling through the tall grass. When she came across a Wild Something, she cleared her throat and pointed dramatically.
"Attack!"
Well, she wasn't too creative...

The wild beast, now locked in a battle with her and her beastie, growled and took a swipe, smearing some of the inkblobs enough to make it look bad. It was clear it had been attacked, like someone who scratched too hard on a painting, or tried to get tape off of bad paper.
But she pressed on.
"It's okay, just a few more hits like that and I promise, it'll be over." She assured her blob, patting it's inky hide. "I promise!" The beast didn't much care for her, but at least she could be super nice to it as she had it attack the wild thing.

The blob of blobness was fighting valiantly for the ghoul who was pretending to be wearing a hat, but it didn't seem to be getting anywhere fast. Amrita, who was used to fighting her own battles, felt weird to only sit on the sidelines for it, cheering it on and accepting it's faults instead of being the one in battle with the faults.
But she did her best from the sidelines, but it still felt too weird.

"Okay, Beastie...that was good, now lemme try!" She stood in front of her Blob of Blobiness, grabbing the end of the harness that had the heavy nets.
Her beast took one more shot at the creature who attacked back, and not wanting to get hurt herself she sat back and waited until she had an opening.

The beast attacked, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to try the net again...she did only have two left. Hrm.

I battled and I FAILEDHer last net went soaring...and missed the wild beast by a mile. Well, damn. Out of nets meant out of tries, and she sighed. Oh well, a failure was just something else she had to correct later, that was all!
"Thanks for trying, beastie." Amrita murmured, patting her blob creature's inky side. "You did good." She assured it, scratching under it's ugly dark chin before she was spirited out of the painting and away from all the creatures.
Oh well.

Rafael was immediately transported into the painting this time, and he was glad that he at least got to ride on his rat-beast -- that made him feel much more at-ease.
Hunting, huh? Rats didn't hunt much...but he guessed he could make that work.
