Kikyo sat on the ground, waiting for something, anything really, to happen. Naruto was over near the rest of the rookies, mostly being Naruto, so that made Kikyo's job all the easier. She laid her head back on the wall, just relaxing.
"Kikyo, how can you be so clam at a time like this?" Blade asked, looking down at her. "This test is suppose to be harsh and unforgiving, yet you look as though it'll be a walk in the park."
"Blade if you seem too confident, people will try and walk all over you. If you don't seem confident, people will try and walk all over you. If you manage to keep a level head, people tend to think your not to be walked on. Get it?" Kikyo asked, closing her eyes as though she was going to sleep.
"Not really..." Blade mumbled walking over to the rookies as well.

Yamikumo overheard all what Kikyo and Blade were saying since Blade was a target of Dosu's, Yamikumo wanted to beat him to killing the guy and unlike Dosu, Yamikumo was willing to go to extremes to get what he wanted. Seeing as Dosu probably wanted to update his pal on why he was truly at the exams, Yamikumo started to make his way across the room to Blade and Kikyo. This was a task and a half for Yamikumo since with all the noise in the room, it was difficult to pinpoint exactly where he was headed, but he caught a few comments from the other Genin when he walked by the were met with silence; now was not the time to start trouble with fools. Yamikumo concentrated and hopefully he met his mark when he stopped and spoke to who he thought and was assured was Blade and Kikyo since he analyzed his location using the speaking of the rookie group.
"Sorry to barge in like this, but my team is so boring, I wanted to talk to somebody interesting."
Yamikumo gave no hint at who he was talking to out of the two: Blade or Kikyo. Yamikumo knew who Blade was and he also knew who Kikyo was, but it would give himself away to immediately call them by name as if he were their friend; they would feel more comfortable if he appeared to be a friendly blind guy. Yamikumo kept his concentration on their hearts to see if they had any tension or deceit, but that was difficult for so much noise being close by.

Fenix walks around the Arena. He uses his passive chakra radar to try and locate where Orochimaru, Kabuto, Sound Four, and the rest of his cronies were.

Kovu looks down at Fenix
"Hmm... I see someone is on look out, I think I'll just stay up here and see what happens, hopefully nothing so i can watch these exams."
Kovu continues to lay down on the top of the arena staring at the sky
"Yup I hope this day goes well"

Kikyo looked up.
"'Sup." she said, nodding slightly. She then went back to spacing out.
Blade nodded slightly to Yamikumo.

"It warms my heart to finally meet some nice people among my fellow Genin."
Yamikumo bowed politely and returned standing straight, speaking to Kikyo since Blade didn't say anything and Yamikumo was blind, so he couldn't acknowledge Blade's nod. Yamikumo spoke to Kikyo because he assumed Blade was uninterested or something else, but Yamikumo was having trouble deciphering that from his heart beat.
"My name is Yamikumo from Otogakure, what might your name be?"

"Kikyo from Konoha." Kikyo replied. "And my friend is Blade, also Konoha." she opened one eye a little bit, so as to at least look like she was paying a little attention.

Syama looked around and then at Yamikumo. "Oh ya we're real boring Yamie." She said in annoyance. She turned to Dosu. "This place hasn't changed. Go figure." She yawned and stretched out.

"Aw, both natives, how interesting. I believe we are all here to become Chunin, correct? Well I hope you don't mind speaking to your competition Kikyo of Konoha."
Yamikumo smiled, though not his sinister smile, rather his friendly smile that he rarely used. In truth, Yamikumo was beyond a simple Genin, but he was playing a part in this assassination against the Hokage and apparently this Blade. Yamikumo had already begun calculations on why Orochimaru would only account Dosu for Blade's assassination and not his entire squad. From the sound of it, Orochimaru was testing Blade, probably for a liable test subject or in fact a new host. Yamikumo then decided to not interfere with Dosu's mission itself, but just Dosu in general.
"This is my first time being at the exams, though I have probably been through much worse then most of the Genin here. In my lord's eyes, I'm probably more of a Chunin already."
Dosu has killed before while most of these Genin had barely seen the sight of blood or even done the final strike to kill someone. Syama had probably seen her share of death judging by her age and the fact she was a Shinobi. Dosu wouldn't rely on Yamikumo to help on his mission, but maybe Syama would be helpful to Dosu in killing Blade.

"So long as no threats come to me or my companion, I have nothing against it, Yamikumo-san." Kikyo replied, sitting up a little. She notice Blade was still pretty uneasy around all these shinobi, and mostly, she assumed, Yamikumo. She knew he fled from Oto, but figured it best to keep talk about that to a minimum.
Blade leaned against the wall next to Kikyo, and tried to calm down. His nerves were currently on edge.

"Of course not, but your voice sounds familiar, have we met before? I'm sure we haven't, did you have any relatives in Otogakure? Your voice just rings a bell for some reason, for you see, I’m blind and unable to see, so I recognize people by their voices as a person with sight recognizes people through their face."
Yamikumo did indeed hear Kikyo's voice before, but he wasn't sure where or when and was thinking she had a relative at Otogakure, since Orochimaru rarely let anyone just leave Otogakure alive or unmarked by his power. Yamikumo couldn't place his finger on it and he was usually extremely talented at recognizing people. There were areas of Otogakure that Yamikumo were never allowed to go into, maybe Kikyo could have been there after all. On the other hand, the voice Yamikumo remembered was more high pitched, though that could factor in with age.
Dokuji sat idle in the Akatsuki hideout in the Land of Fire, waiting for Pein to administrate the Akatsuki’s next move. Over his time at the base, he had yet to encounter the other members, since they were probably out fooling around till Pein called them to gather here. The Akatsuki knew of the oncoming storm ahead and it was Dokuji’s guess that Pein would call the members to the Land of Fire to take advantage of such a moment or maybe he had journeyed here for nothing. If so, Dokuji could test the local Konoha population’s clans, though he was disappointed that the Uchiha were gone. That didn’t matter; the Hyuuga would still be fair game. Dokuji wasn’t called the Clan Slayer for nothing and his Swordsmen title was Slayer of the Hidden Mist, also derived from his tendencies to destroy entire clans. The Kaguya clan was one of his greater trophies due to their odd bone based Kekkei Genkais, but still a trophy of their leader was his. Dokuji wanted to see how a clan of Konohagakure would fair since Konoha was well known for their talent.
